Hey fellow chicks :D
I haven't posted much in the 40-Somethings forum. Mainly due to time - there is only one thread that I feel I have the time to follow. I am, however, 44 years young! :)
Someone wrote a thread (was it beerab maybe? whoever it was THANK YOU!) about a book by Christopher Hopkins. He's a makeover guy and wow he really does wonders with 40-somethings and above!! I just finished reading his book and it had so much information that I needed. There is a link to it on his site ("Staging Your Comeback"). Tons of info on how to dress in flattering ways for your body, how to change your makeup and hair to look youthful in your "second act", as he calls it. He answered a lot of questions I have been having, especially on this weight loss journey - I want to buy new clothes, but really had no idea what I should buy. I want to look youthful, yet not like I'm trying to be in my 20s, you know?
ANYWAY :) Here is a link to the makeovers he has done for some women in their "second act". I am seriously considering having him do a makeover for me as my final goal reward - a year or maybe longer from now. His salon is only about 4 hours from me!
Check these out, though.. you will be amazed! And if you are like me, I would totally recommend his book. I completely changed my makeup and it looks better! Now I just have to figure out the hair - I pretty much suck at finding a style/hair color that flatters me.

I tried to pick a favorite, but they are all just amazing!
