Welcome to Week 6! Some of you mentioned extending the dare challenge from last week, so unless we have someone else start a challenge thread, I say go ahead with the dares.

Echo, I really appreciate all the illustrations and links you provide when explaining things. I didn't have a clue what you were talking about until I saw the pics. I definitely won't be doing any of those exercises. Hahaha...I'll pass them on to DH.

I don't mind if the "Dare" challenge is extended another week or along side another one. That's my vote.

Awwww thank you so much Isabella!! (what a beautiful name by the way! love it) That's so nice of you to say, I really appreciate it :) Thank you so much

I have great news! Hubby is back to working full time and that means I get to cut back on my work here as we'll no longer be depending just on me I can give more time to other things like taking care of myself now...

Thats awesome Skinnyjeans!

Skinny jeans:
I think you are doing just awesome! I keep thinking I want to start going out to the track and attempting c25k but I always feel I can't do it, I'm too weak, too heavy, etc.

You should do it! its a great programe! i started it a month ago, and did week 1 for quite awhile, and today i'm going to do week 2.
you can get free podcasts from itunes.

Iwanawurkit and Diva
--

Dont worry - i also gained a pound from last week. lets just kick it this week so we have a greater loss this week!! we can be partners in crime hehe :cb: :broc: :carrot:
Besides Diva, you had so much on your plate and you were sick and TOM!! its to be expected. its not a real gain! you will be able to shed it in no time. besides when your sick best not to exercise and let your body rest so it can heal itself.

Nella

Oh, and my aunt stopped by too. Haven't seen her in 5 months or so, the first thing she said was "Wow!" and spun me around and told me I have no butt ( I wish!) so I took that as a huge compliment. She didn't even know I had been trying to lose weight, so it meant even more. Now, that's motivation!

Aww that's a great boost indeed! you go girl!

This morning the postman delivered my book!! Master your metabolism by jillian michaels, i'm so excited :cb:  i cant wait to delve into reading it :book2:

I had a gain last Monday's weigh in... 3.0. I hadn't been quite where I wanted with exercise and had restarted weight training, but I still was rather surprised by the big gain. I took a freebie and just tried to work really hard this week. Lost 3.2 this week.. so well really just 0.2 loss after figuring in the gain but I'm glad I didn't let that gain linger around at least. (Trying to think positively here!)

I've been changing my routine lately but it feels like I'm finally kind of getting into the swing of it all. I like the improvements I'm making to my exercise schedule, I feel like the energy and motivation are picking up. I'm reading Slow Fat Triathlete and really enjoying that!

Good afternoon Blue Team members. I see that a few of you gained a little this past week. Don't beat yourselves up over that.

Some of you were sick and that's stressful enough without trying to lose weight at the same time. Life has to be taken care of sometimes. And when you're sick with a fever, headache and aching muscles no one will fault you for not losing that pound or two. So don't fault yourself.

And some of you have done everything right and still gained. Well, give yourself a pat on the back and keep up the good work. Next week you'll see a difference.

And some of you just didn't care and ate whatever you wanted and didn't exercise. Well, sometimes that happens and this week you'll do better because it's not the team you're letting down--it's yourself. So do yourself a favor and stay on plan this week.

We've all been in each situation so if it's the first time for you, you're in good company!

That's my sermon for the day.

Echo, Isabella was my grandmother's name and it was her grandmother's name. Now, all I have to do is convince one of my sons to name a granddaughter after me when they have a daughter. :D Oh, enjoy your book.

SkinnyJeans, that's great news about your DH. Now, you have a choice about the extra work.

Dixied, you look great in your avatar. No wonder with all that running.

Nella, our DS bought an old house nearly 100 years old. When we first saw the house it was run-down and really dirty with cobwebs hanging off everything. I felt like Lily Munster walking around that house. (If you guys don't know who the Munsters were, you're way younger than I. Hahaha) DH and I helped them with their renovations and they eventually sold the house and made a handsome profit and bought a house that was only 15 years old (that still needs renovations). So I know what you were talking about. I'm sure your house wasn't as run-down as DS's first one but it takes heap of renovations to make a house a home. Great compliment from your aunt, btw. You must have been tickled pink.

I had a good walk this morning. Cold and a few snow flurries starting to fall but I kept up a good pace and wasn't chilly at all. I'm going to try to do more flapping arm exercises (jumping jacks) today. My right arm is still a bit sore so I'll skip the counter push ups until tomorrow. I guess I'll alternate the days with resistance and aerobic but walk every day. Now to check out the challenge.

Catch you all later my sweet team members.

Ugh - I had to put a freebie in for this week! I started the week gaining back a couple lbs from all the sodium I ingested from Thanksgiving! It's just 'starting' to go back now. I have been really stressed from school too so I think some weight gain around there as well... Hopefully better this week!

Just checking in with a rant:

If you can search for clothes by color/designer/price/material, why the heck can't I search for workout pants by whether or not they have pockets!

Okay, back to our regularlly scheduled chat!

Hi all, I've been MIA from that chat for a few weeks, though I've kept up with the weigh-ins. I was glancing through the weigh-ins (I opted to take a freebie week) and was surprised at how many members we seem to have lost. I decided I'll make a concerted effort to check-in here when I can!

The one shout-out I'd like to make is to congratulate Echo on passing her PhD!! My closest friend has been working on hers for TEN YEARS (talk about a Master Procrastinator) so know it's a big deal - not to mention an enormous relief - to have completed it. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been good with checking in this week. It's been one of those weeks were I seemed to be on the go everyday. I stayed on plan so I am happy about that, but I am not happy that I weighed in today 2 lbs heavier than last week :( It's that TOM so I guess that could be a factor, and I've also been having some tummy troubles this week. I wonder if I should have taken a freebie week. How does everyone decide if and when to take a freebie week?

Retire, I love reading your "sermons" :) I hope your arm feels better soon.

Skinnyjeans, that is great news about your dh.

Echo, I really enjoyed Jillian's book. I learned a lot from it. Have fun reading!

A big  to everyone else. Let's have a good week blue team!

Happy Monday all you Beautiful Bluesers !

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

I pretty much sat on my butt all weekend. We went up to a friends' cabin in the middle of nowhere and it rained the whole time so got in a bunch of reading and movies.

I had great news as I was going out of town. Stopped at the Doctor's office for him to OK my scuba lessons and he has decided to cut my BP and Diabetese medications in half !! This is a huge step in the right direction. He also signed my Scuba forms so off I go in about 2 hours for my first lesson.

Have a great week all !!

I can't wait until you read the book, it was life changing for me. Really, until I read the book I don't think I would have maintained my weight loss, or changed my life for that matter.

I also read winning for losing, it is a good companion book.

Hi Blue team, I'm baaack!

Our wedding was absolutely amazing - I couldn't have asked for a more amazing day! The whole weekend was full of family, friends, and good fun times. We just spent a week in San Francisco and Monterey for our honeymoon - the longest vacation either of us had taken in more than 3 years!

After 2 weeks of not working out and eating whatever we wanted, I was pleasantly surprised to have only a 3.2lb gain when I weighed in this morning. We're back in action now that we're home from the honeymoon, so I'm confident that weight will disappear soon.

Can't wait to get back in the loop around here and get back to being a good Blue team member!

Congrats Practice! You sure can't beat that--a great wedding/honeymoon AND a great weigh in!

So does anyone else HATE changing out their clothes with the seasons? I do. There's bags and bags of clothes everywhere. And sorting them out is awful. Which ones do I like? Which ones don't fit anymore? Which ones don't fit and haven't fit for the past three years, but I've kept hanging on to them thinking maybe they would magically just slip on? Oh well. It must be done.

Bigsexy - I did that last week. I had a HUGE trash bag full of stuff to take to Goodwill. It felt good to purge some of it, and even better to fit in a lot more of what I do have.

So, stupid TOM ruined my day yesterday. My weight yesterday was 175.4 (-1.0) which was cool, it was a loss, but today it was 173.8, which would have been a (-2.6) loss. Oh well, next week will rock! lol

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yeah, I hate this! Right now my struggle is that most of my fall/winter clothes don't fit, but I don't want to buy much more in my current size. How can I make my summer clothes stretch through fall/winter? Can I creatively make last year's stuff work without looking silly?

Welcome back Mrs. Practice. So glad you had a great wedding and honeymoon.

Bigsexy, I'm of the opinion that we all have way too many clothes. I'm not saying that you do, though. I volunteer at the Goodwill Center and my church also has a free clothing store and I see so much good used and badly used clothing come through. We (women, in general) are slaves to the fashion industry...sigh... Good luck with your sorting. :)

Leslie, have fun with those scuba lessons. You've got more nerve that I do.

Hi Suzie. We miss you when you're not here.

Nella, you're doing great.

I did the exercise challenge today that Echo posted yesterday or maybe the day before. If any of you are at a loss for a good workout check out the challenge thread. It says week 5 but we're continuing on into week 6 with it.

DH bought home a huge bag of wind fall apples last night. So I made applesauce last night (8.5 pint jars) and today I made up the last of the apples into 3 pies. The pies are going in the freezer for entertaining but they look so good sitting out there on the kitchen table.

Keep up the good work, Blue troop. We shall overcome.

Leslie, congrats on the medication cut!

My bf surprised me with a trip to Maui, and all we did was snorkel. It was EXTREMELY scary at first because I am not an "open water" person that was the scariest part, but I got used to it and as long as he was holding my hand I was fine. I don't know if I could ever dive! I tend to panic and pant easily when scared.

I do also get VERY sea sick and in that crazy boat ride to Molokini crater 3 miles off the island I was extremely queasy. I didn't even want to get off the boat but sitting in it rocking was worse. So we jumped off with our snorkels, and we were told that we cannot feed the fish/animals/birds on the crater nor touch anything because it's a protected reserve.

Well after a few stroked I straight up vomited straight down underwater, it was disgusting. And next thing you know... fish Swarmed all around me to eat it up! Then everyone else snorkeling around me saw the swarm and got really excited "look, something's happening over there! The fish are all around her, let's go over! Awesome!" and they all came around my area to touch/see the fish. Not my best moment, and no way did I tell anyone what I did to get those fish around me (but my bf thought it was hilarious)

Practice, congrats on the wedding! Hopefully a wedding in my future, maybe a few more public humiliations under my belt to keep the guy entertained first... :)

I'm still here just feeling lousy. My sciatic is acting up again, back is killing me and TOM started. it would be funny if it wasn't so painful. Needless to say no working out this week but I am watching what I eat so hopefully I will see another loss next week.

Practice-So glad everything went well. Congrats!!! Many happy wishes for a long life together. I will be celebrating 22 years of marriage on Nov. 7. Marriage can be such a wonderful thing if you go in expecting it to have its ups and downs and believing the ups will be better than the downs! Maybe try some consignment/thrift shops to find cheap clothes that fit.

Happening-LMAO! funny story thank God no one knew the real reason for all the fish!

LeslieB- nice work on cutting the meds! What an NSV!!! And scuba diving! I have often thought about looking into taking lessons. We are river junkies and I hear there are some good finds after big weekends at Lake Havasu! I am just petrified I may end up feeding the fish like HAPPENING! lol!

Maryshady - sister, sister - heres to a speedy recovery. Nothing like be gained up on by your on body. Take good care of yourself, and fuel your body right, you will be back to good in no time! Our bodies know when its time to rest!

I completed my 2nd night with crazy instructor woman at bootcamp. I swear she has got to be the closest thing to Jillian without actually being on the show. Standing on my quads while I'm doing wall squats. Smacking my booty when its sticking up during my pushups. 20 more of whatever if anyone drops their arms, weights, legs. SHEESH. And I'm the less than strong newbie (the only one by the way) feeling like I am just learning to walk. But the results on the scale have been great and I put on pants today that I haven't worn in 6 months. Times they are a changing in my house ladies!

happeningf-Wow!! Maui, so wonderful, not so much the suba diving, but hope the rest of the trip make up for that.

Mary-Hope you feel better, not much you can do when the back is in pain, everything hurts, and you can never get comforable. Just try to take it easy, and keep moving as best you can.

Nixmom-Wow that sounds like quite the workout, I know at my work they have a bootcamp starting up, and it's being taught by an army sergent. I would sign up, but it's during my work hrs, don't have that many vacation days left, but it sounds like it's a butt kicking workout.

retiredone-Apples are so delicious, nothing like a crisp sweet apple, and homemade apple pie is Yumm-O

bigsexy-I totally agree, and now it's getting cold so can't put it off, I must also go through my "Winter Stash", the only good thing about it is, I plan to just get rid of my bigger summer clothes, no plans to ever fit into any of it again. So that means a shopping trip is in my near future, since all the summer stuff is on sale right now. ;)

dixied-I know I only have one pair of those workout pants with that cute little pocket for my ipod, and they are bright orange, I love them! Good luck on your quest, for yours!

Hi to everyone that I missed-hope this week is a better week for all, sickness and struggles will be gone.

Well I just finished my first week of CLX {ChaLean Extreme} Wow, I'm so sore, but in a very good way, not pain sore, it's just letting me know how much I need to weight lift. Which by the way is what I needed, I have no upper arm strength, know that by how hard those planks and pushups are on me.

Need to get my act in gear, have a dentist appt :(, and need to get moving
have a great day.

Nixmom - Wow! that does sound like Jillian!! Sounds awesome though, and you're right, the scale is telling you it is working!

Mary - I hope you feel better soon!

Practice - Great quote!

Hope you chickies are having a great week! I am proudly wearing my "test" jeans today!!! These are the jeans I tried on once a week to check my progress because they have zero stretch to them. When I began this they wouldn't go over my hips, now they fit and button comfortably, close fitting around my legs, but loose in the waist (I have large hips/thighs in proportion to my waist, so I get that annoying gap in the back). Needless to say, I'm pretty pumped.

Happening, that fish story was so grossly funny. Poor you. Glad you escaped without undue humiliation.

Mary, hope you're feeling much better today.

Nella, WTG with the test jeans. That's awesome.

Nixmom, sounds like brutal workout was survived by you. Congratulations on fitting in those pants again. Nothing like a NSV to brighten up the day.

Practice, thanks for the quote. Very inspiring.

Institches, sounds like you're doing great with your exercise program, too. Have a great time at the dentist.

It's cold here again today. It's even cold in the house. I'm wearing a scarf around my neck that I had on while walking. I lit the wood furnace a while ago but it hasn't warmed up yet. By lunch it will be so hot I'll be ready to walk around naked. Although it was cold it wasn't windy this morning and when I walked by the bay the water was as calm as a mirror. There were 3 pair of loons floating and ducking and calling to each other and one lone seagull. I stopped and watched longer than I usually do because it was so peaceful this morning.

I'm home alone most of the day as DH has a bus driver's inservice with the school board today. School's out for the next 2 days for a district wide inservice for all teachers and school board employees. So no time constraints on me today to get dinner on the table by 12:15 pm. DH won't be home until 4 or 4:30. We'll have dinner tonight instead of our usual lunch time.

Must go and put another dish away. I'm slowly emptying the dishwasher. http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/images/smilies/grin.gif Catch you all later.

Hi everyone, I've been struggling to stay on plan lately, but so far I have. I don't normally have a hard time with my TOM, but for some reason this one is wiping me out. Anyway, I am glad that I didn't give in to comfort eating as the extra two pounds that appeared for Monday's weigh-in are now gone.

Marianne - Welcome back. Congratulations on your wedding. Glad that your day was perfect and that you had a wonderful honeymoon!

Happening - Maui - what a nice surprise!

Mary - I hope you are feeling better

LeslieB - That is awesome that you are able to cut your meds. Congratulations!

Nixmom - Wow, your bootcamp instructor sounds intense! Good for you for making it through the classes. Congratulations on your pants that is fantastic!

Institches - How are you liking CLX? I've had my eye on it for awhile so would love to hear what you think of the program so far.

Retire - Sounds like the perfect walk.

Nella - Congratulations on the test pants, that is awesome!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day :)

Just sorta an update / checking in - I have finally gotten FULLY back to my work outs, at least doing 500 calories a day for the past 4 days!!!

Hopefully I'll pull some weight loss this week for the team!!

retiredone-your walk sounds wonderful, I love the crisp fall air, but too sad that it's followed by that howling face biting wind, and dreaded icy snow!! So enjoy Canada it's, always been a wonderful place to visit in the summer, but your winters are harsh!!

Nixmom-those sweat feasts are working for you, enjoy those new jeans

Nella-Yay for Test Jeans, I also have the same problem, a bit of a gap in back, but loose in front.

Narnia99-I do Love this program, you lift heavy but fewer reps, and she goes through it step by step, and just like her TurboJam, you have the choice to go a bit slower and use, no weights, instead you use a resistence band. I actually am dripping sweat, almost from the begining, it is very intense, and lasts about 40mins. Any other questions just ask.

not much new around here today, so I guess I will say good night, hope you all have a great Thursday!!

[/size][/B]
Isabella:
I think the name Isabella is beautiful too and I was going to name my daughter if I ever had one, which I didn'y. Just mean ole'boys *sigh*
Echo:
I hope you are enjoying your book. I'm not a big Jillian fan but I may get that or check it out from the Library if y'all have rave reviews.

I've had a stressful THREE weeks now. First the Swine, then I get sick, then TOM, and this week my teenaged son has decided to be some mean person that I don't know. He had me crying my eyes out before 7 a.m. 3 days in a row. On Monday, I was all dressed and ready for the GYM got half way there when some sort of infraction of the passenger side wheel happened on my car so now I am without a ride until we can afford to fix this, which is NO freakin' telling when that'll happen. So it's been another BAD week. I HATE being a prisoner in my own home and not being able to get to the GYM! I have ZERO motivation to work out at home. NONE,NADA, zilch! So there's been no exercise, there's been NO eating right, but there also hasn't been much of that going on anyways because I've been depressed too, there HAS been alcohol consumption, which I hardly ever do and somehow I've managed to lose what I gained. :dunno: So I guess that's something. Anyhoo, when the boy got home least night, I had enuff of his crap and reminded him just who is the adult, and who is the kid and just how miserable I can make his life, and that's exactly what I've done until my child returns...the nice and funny one. I felt better after that. Teenagers are so hard! I'll be glad when this kid graduates, moves out and sees for himself just how hard life is and then maybe he'll see that we have done the best we can. As poor as we are, we've somehow managed to spoil him...Go figure....

I appreciate that the Dare thing was extended but I have not partook in it once again. I am going to deep clean this house today and I am prolly going to use both Dare weeks to exercise tomorrow and use Jesse's car to hit the GYM on Sat. I need to move this body!

Just checking in with a rant:

If you can search for clothes by color/designer/price/material, why the heck can't I search for workout pants by whether or not they have pockets!

Okay, back to our regularlly scheduled chat!
I'm sorry.

I'd like to search for workout pants that didn't have to be hemmed! I could sew up the bottoms and have booties like baby's sleepers.
OMG! Me too!!! I don't know how to hem so I am SOL.

OMG! I am sooooooo sorry that happened to you but I am LMAO!!!! That's the funniest thing I've read this week! :dizzy: (Still giggling).

Anyhoo, nuff of my babbling. I can't wait for this week to be over.

{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}} to everyone! Miss feeling like I am actually a part of this team.

Diva - Sounds like you are having a rough go at things. Teenagers are evil sometimes. At least yours are boys, I have two teenage girls in my house 5 days a week (add on top of that that I am the stepmom - joy of joys sometimes). Girls are little balls of emotion just waiting to explode at any given second for no reason. The car thing sucks, and I know what you mean about motivation to workout at home. I was doing good for a while, but haven't worked out in a week and a half. Since it got cold here, I can't bring myself to go walking and the JM's aren't screaming at me to get moving, so I haven't. I'm determined to get back at it tonight though.

Things in our house are hectic to say the least. We've had sort of a bomb dropped on us regarding the kids and their "mother" deciding she all of a sudden wants to have more custody of them, after giving it up (funny how it coincides with her CS about to go down to next to nothing. I'm just sayin'...) so DH and I have to figure this one out and scrape our pennies together to find an attorney. Anyone know how to make money appear out of thin air? If you do, start spilling!

On the weight loss front, things are good. I was bad though and devoured some cake yesterday for SD's birthday. I also sampled the frosting jar a few times... Who knew frosting has 130 calories in 2 tbsp??? If I had read the jar before sampling, I would have only sampled once, and probably ate less cake. But the scale was down this morning to 173.0, so maybe I didn't do so much harm. But I was bad and slapped myself on the wrist this morning and vowed to not do it again.

So...3 pounds from my first mini-goal!! I am thrilled! :carrot::carrot::carrot: I weigh less now than I did at my wedding. I'm going to have to go shopping soon for jeans because the ones I pulled out 2 weeks ago, are a bit loose on me. I'll have to try seriously shrinking them in the dryer.

Hope everyone has a fantabulous day!!!!!!

Howdy gals. Good to see you back Diva. I had 2 boys but they weren't too much trouble except when the youngest one decided to leave home (without notice) at 18 and finish high school in another province. Thank God he was staying with good friends of the family. Both boys are married now and all is well.

For those of you that commented on my lovely walk and where I live: Yes, the walk is really nice. I live in a seaport town and can see water from my home as well as for most of my walk. Today there was only 1 loon, a flock of pigeons and 1 young seagull down by the bay. The wind was up a bit so the water wasn't very calm. The winter is toooooo longggggggggg, though, hahaha, unless you're a snowmobiler. Winter sports are big here in Eastern Canada with downhill and cross country skiing, hockey, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, tobogganing and sliding, and other stuff too. I was actually thinking about taking up cross country skiing this winter if I can find some gear that doesn't cost an arm and leg.

Nella, that's so great about the jeans. I'm waiting for mine to get lose again. They were just getting to the point where I was thinking I'd get down to the next size when I put on a few more pounds over the summer. :( But I can fit into them again so that's even good.

Mara, 500 calories burned a day in exercise is fabulous. You're going to see results.

I'm going to do some tiding up here today. DS's bedroom is in upheaval since he left home when he got married. The room has become a catch-all for everything and today is the day I'm going to tidy that room up. DH wants to paint it so he'll be pleased to see a dent in the mess. :D

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry I'm kicked off our team. I had that throat surgery and am down almost 15 lbs. Was 215 this a.m. but was 229.5 before surgery...Too bad I kept trying to post my weight when it was past midnite so finally did that with 3 and used up Freebies which I have never done. So that sucks. And I apologize. I'm better now but still can't really taste which helps alot. Bought a bunch of snacky stuff and this is the longest it's all stayed in the house! LOL!! :sumo:

I hate that I've been away from here bc I love you guys!! Mary wrote to see how I was and I thought that was so thoughtful of her. :) I always think about you all though, just always stay busy. And the two toddler boys we want to adopt may be coming soon, hopefully by Thanksgiving but we still don't know a date yet. Keep your fingers crossed for us that they are at least here by Christmas!! :elf:

I'm looking at 15 passenger vans now! LOL. Because with my exchange student, me and dh and our soon 2 be 5 kids, 4 of which will be in carseats, I know my Expedition won't work. It seats 8. But I hafta fold down some to be able to have my double stroller and their karate bags etc in there... So I dunno. A friend of mine adopted 7 kids, several are special needs, and she loves her van. I wonder how well those go thru bank drivethrus tho?? My Expediiton kinda cuts it close, feels like that anyway.... :yikes:

Anyhoo, miss y'all, love y'all and will try hard to come visit!!! Been watching TBL faithfully. I love Abby. And others too.. :) But she is so sweet and I just feel for her. Bless her heart.

Well, big hugsss, Selina

Ok bluesers... anyword from Dix on the weekly results? Any word from Dix at all... she better be okay.

I completed my second week of bootcamp. Hip flexors are hurting today and my eyes are heavy. Fiance returned home from 12days away and wanted to watch all the TIVO's shows he'd missed. I think I finally crashed out at midnight. Gonna be a long dragging day.

Hope you all are well. I am in ONEDERLAND for the 3rd day in a row and losing about .4 daily, here's the kicker -EVEN WITH TOM HERE! Diet and exercise does work! Do not ever give up!

Retiredone - Have fun baking! I did a lot this week myself for SD's birthday and a cake walk fund raiser. I was bad though and did a fair amount of quality control sampling.

Nixmom - WAHOO!!!!!! That is so awesome!! Onederland here you are!!! Congrats on all the hard work paying off!

Morning girls. Just weighed in! Down 3 lbs this week! :carrot:

Retired - I was having fiday issues as well. Although I am not suppossed to be calorie counting, old habits die hard. And when I cant access my log... it becomes all I can THINK about!

Practice - you get to wear another fabulous dress! Right on! Get crackin' girl. This is perfect motivation to get you moving again!

Mary - bootcamp has definitely lit the fire. But I am finding that the diet is EXTREMELY important. I would also recommend a doing a Colon Cleanse (I know how icky, scary, bleck!) But I got a $10 Acai Berry Easy Cleanse at Walmart and it works GENTLY! I am a new believer in them. (this from a girl who was lucky to visit the toity for that 1 every 3 days). You can do it!

Alwe - hope you have a better week. We have 3 sick kids right now and are walking on eggshells to not get it ourselves. Heres to a healthy week for ya!

Nella- OP weekend it is! I'm in!

Well girls... I'm all dressed to the shoes to get going on my house. Gotta get some breakfast in me and get on with the day. Dont forget to weigh in ladies!

Today my cousin came over with her 2 daughters 4 and 7. they are so cute bless. played with them. I remember what Jillian says, its good to be active with the kids, its good for them and for you! I usually play "make believe with them" and this time, we played aliens on mars lol. the 7 year old had a poster of mars, so i stuck that up. and then i had these little teddy bears as aliens. and then we made the rest up. i usually let the kids decide the story and just help a little now and then, they really love it. in the beginning we were getting the tree house ready, by painting and chopping wood, which would then later on turn into a space ship haha.

later on the 4 year old saw my dumbells, the 3lb and 6lbs and wanted to hold them and exercise with them lol.

so i gave her something else, but it was really light and she wasnt having it. haha. so i let her hold the 3lb one, but i held it so she wouldnt feel any of the weight of it. and she was lifting it up and down with her two hands and me holding it.

then later on, we did some cardio work haha. we did jumping jacks and running on the spot. and crouching down and jumping up... and she really got into it and then she wanted to be the one to tell me what to do. so she was telling me to run and jump haha and told me when to stop lol. Little Jillian in the making!

then later on i timed both of them doing sprints, they loved it! kids have so much energy. i must have burned like 200 calories just playing with them haha and running around with them.

and then the 7year old was telling me that she has a wii. so planning on going over to play with her sometime next week. i think that will burn some calories! hehe we''re gonna have a tennis match lol.

i love how jillian always talks about being active with kids, its so true. you dont need to go a gym. kids can really tire you out! haha.

this week has been terrible on the weight , food and exercise wise. so i'm taking a freebie on monday, as i've gained weight again! gah! i'm blaiming TOM! but now that i've recovered from cramps and heavy TOM, i'm gonna hit the workouts HARD this week! and be careful with my calories. i turn into a hungry monster during TOM. and i do know that your metabolism does slightly increase before and during TOM.
today i did week 2 of C25K and then rode my exercise bike and burned 500 calories, did interval training. then played with the kids. so in total burned 1000 calories. i was planning on doing yoga aswell tonight, but i'm feeling tired now. so will not push myself too much.

have a great sunday night everyone! i promise to bring my A game this week!!

Morning team! Had a good weigh in this morning down 2lbs :carrot: I made a few changes in my diet and started jogging everyday and its helped! :carrot: Had pretty good weekend, spent 3 hours working in the yard, didn't get everything accomplished that I wanted to but it looks better than it did. Took Saturday off from jogging, but picked back up yesterday and was very happy with myself. I managed to jog 2.25 miles without stopping. Its been a long time since I've been able to do that, next goal....3.2 miles non stop!

Iwana-hopefully your muscles loosen up as the day goes on!

Echo-great to have you back! Kids are so much fun aren't they!

Nixmom-woohoo on the 3lbs. Bootcamp sounds really tough, but its working, soo keep up the hard work.

practice-what beautiful wedding pics, you looked great! Sorry that you have to give up your trainer, but you can take what you've learned from the trainer and use it at home.

Mary-glad to hear the pain is getting better. How is your son's friend doing?

Nella-its nice to get compliments like that! Makes all that hard work worth it!

Diva-nice to have you back as well. Sounds like you are going thru some rough times...Hang in there girl.

Retire-where you lives sounds so beautiful, no wonder you love to go on your walks. How'd the baking go? Think this next weekend I'm going to make chocolate chip cookies...do think I could substitute applesauce for the butter?

Anyways I best get DD off to school. Everyone have a great day!

Marianne - Your pictures are beautiful!

Hi Friends! No, I didnt drop off the face of the earth. I've been taking a sabbatical from 3FC and dieting to get my head on straight. Things in life seemed to be going down hill.....kids fighting more, mouthing off and being disrespectul, Hubby and I spatting too much, house a mess, finances a mess. I realized that I had been concentrating too much on the physical aspect of my life and totally neglecting the spiritual side. My faith has been the center of my life since I was 10, but I had let it slip away. We finally decided to buckle down and find a church home. We did find an awesome church that the whole family loves. We've been attending for 6 weeks now. Slowly, I'm starting to get my life back together. I'm finding that concentrating on my spiritual life seems to bring everything else back in line, including my food addiction. Now, I'm ready to tackle this again.

Anyways, I do apologize for not being here for everyone. But, I'm here now and will stay around through the end.

My weigh-in this morning was good - dropped all the weight I gained on the honeymoon! Now I can get back to getting rid of weight I haven't already lost. :P We didn't get a chance to grocery shop this weekend, so we're going after work tonight. It's hard to stay OP if there's no food in the cupboards!

We did a huge cleaning of our apartment this weekend. Does anyone else find it easier to drop pounds when the spaces around them are clean and tidy? I guess removing the physical clutter helps remove some of the mental clutter?

Rhonda - what a great realization! I'm glad that your new church and commitment to your faith is strengthening you, and helping your whole family. Very happy to see you back here!
