Although I'm not a parent, I have a beautiful niece and adorable little nephew that are with me a lot. Though I'm the one on the diet, I am trying to give them snacks now that are HEALTHY for them instead of giving them cookies or chips. I thought I'd share a few ideas with those of you that are parents on the board ( or anyone that wants snack ideas for kids ).

If you need to know how to make any of these let me know ... most are obvious. My niece LOVES the celery wagon and celery sail boats the best. :)

The penguins were actually made for a Stanley Cup party ... we are HUGE Red Wing fans and I made up those little hard boiled egg penguins and told everyone at the party that night that we were eating penguin for dinner hehe. They were a HUGE hit among the kids tho too!

its fruit leather, which is basically like a fruit roll up, that i cut into a triangle. ( store bought fruit roll ups would work too ... i just make my own at home so it doesnt have all the preservatives as the store kind )

you could really use anything from raisins to gummy candies ( preferably if you can find the sugar free ones like i find at my local bulk food store ) and cut them in half or quarters ( makes them colorful and the kids think they are getting away with having a little bit of " candy " on their snack haha )
