I know everyone, myself DEFINITELY included, has down times and times when we are stressed and it just feels like everything is piling up on us once.

Let's take a little time to think of why we are PROUD of ourselves. It doesn't have to be scale or food related. Share a reason or two why you are proud of *your self* only, no matter how small you think the reason is.

I am proud of myself for coming back here and holding myself accountable again.

I am proud of the 18lbs I have lost, slowly yes, but lost and KEPT off! :carrot:

I am proud of accepting that I will have to move, even though I really didn't want to, and finding the positives in the situation.

I am proud of myself because I finally realized its health that matters not a number on a scale or a reflextion in a mirror its all about the way I feel. I have always ignored invitations to events with the excuses I have nothing to wear or I don't feel good but the reality is nothing fits and I feel fine.I just didn't feel good about me.I don't care what the scale says as long as I can feel good in my own healthy skin.:)

I'm proud that I bought spinach to take home for my lunch (salad & smoothie!) instead of giving in to temptation for stopping to get a burger earlier today.

I'm proud that I didn't binge today. I will be three weeks binge-free on Thursday (longest I've gone in over 3 years!) and I had the strongest urge today, I almost cracked. I'm having a really tough day, nothing serious, just feeling down overall. But I kept with it, thinking about that three week mark (tomorrow being weigh-in day helped too!). It was really hard, but so far, I've managed to keep on plan.

I'm proud of myself because:

I've lost over 50lbs, something I thought I'd never be able to do at times, though I said I could!

Getting healthier has turned my whole life around... my body is healthier, my skin is healthier, even my immune system has gotten better! And coming from someone who has nearly died twice and has suffered unknown times over random illnesses.... that IS something!

My family and friends are even more proud of me than before!

My boyfriend loved me no matter what, but now he actually is starting to tell me that I'm becoming "hot". heh Nice. ;)

Most of all though... I'm proud of myself for never giving up. No matter how sucky life has gotten for me... I kept truckin! :) And I always will!

I am proud of my career ... having a job that pays well AND that is interesting and challenging every day.

I am proud that I've learned to say "no" to unhealthy people in my life!

I'm proud of the fact that I wore my make-up for the third day in a row today.

Not as stellar an achievement as most of you: but then I don't do much. :)

Hey, Alana! Those kinds of things can be the hardest to do, IMO :)

I'm proud of the fact that I keep learning/changing --about myself, my body, my relationships and my life.

I'm proud of the fact that I've been on plan for (and have not binged in) 171 days.

I haven't felt proud of myself for much else lately - I wish I did!

I'm proud of myself for making getting up at 5:15 to start my day with a workout, in addition to my usual post-work workout. I'm proud of making fitness, and by extension, myself, a priority in my life.

Oh my goodness, that is a big achievement. Seriously, since I've been wearing makeup *right* instead of just sort of faking it, my morning routine is like half an hour longer. And just this evening a coworker said, "You look like you've had a makeover or something" in this embarrassed way, like he didn't want to hurt my feelings.

So I said, "Well, I've been making more of an effort. Thanks for noticing."

It was kind of nice, and I've been getting a LOT more attention since I've been paying attention to my clothes and hair and makeup. So I'd say that yes, it's a pretty big accomplishment to wear makeup on a regular basis. :D

I was proud of myself this time last year because I could wear size 26 jeans for the first time in 5 years.

I am proud of myself today because I have given all those 26s (28s, 30s, 32s, 24s, 22s and 20s!) away and am now wearing 16s!

Gee, I wonder what size I'll be wearing October 7, 2010???

Okay, I have been on my food plan for 24 days, I plan all my menus, and swim 3X a week. Oh, I am proud that I am gradually oganizing my house a little at a time. I could make a long list of my disappointments in myself and so this question has really made me think. I need to work on this. I will work on this. Actually, when I think about it, I'm proud that I was able to pull myself out of this eating funk I was in and get my butt in gear and just start! I'm older so my moments are different. I'm so happy when I take my blood glucose reading in the morning and it's down to almost normal, so I'm proud I did something about the former higher readings and cared enough about myself to take action. I''m proud that I've mentally worked on trying to see my relationship to food in an entirely different light, one in which the way I eat now is my present and future, not just until I'm at goal weight. And I "feel" there is a change. Past are my educational and career achievements because I'm retired. I've thought that I will volunteer when I can stand and walk without pain. I would be proud to do something to help others. Humm. this question bears thought frequently. Thanks for that

I'm proud of myself for staying on track with my weight loss goals over the last 6 weeks, despite DH's job becoming very instable. We expect that he will be laid off by November. I know that if I don't do well in my eating and exercising it's not going to help his situation at all. Not sure if that made any sense at all.

I'm proud of myself for playing piano at an old age home once a week, they love all the oldie songs from the war (although they pat me on the head and say i'm a pretty girl LOL that can't count as volunteer work!)

and I'm proud that this post of being proud is NOT about food, exercise, or weight loss!

Oh gosh, there are lots of things I'm proud of!

I'm proud of each and every one of my kids, I'm proud that I make it work for me to stay at home with them and even prouder still that I am able to homeschool them... my "5th grader" is sitting on the sofa right now reading an 8th grade science book, and is halfway through his 6th grade math curriculum.

I'm proud that on Saturday, hubby and I will celebrate our 6th anniversary, something so many said we would never see because we were "rushing into things". We have a very very strong marriage, and I see it lasting forever. Heck, I never even wanted to get married before he came into my life as something other than a friend... he is truely an amazing man.

I'm proud that for the first time ever, I have stuck with eating properly for more than a few weeks (I'm almost done with week 12), and have totally changed the kinds of food I buy for my family.

I could go on forever... there is lots that I'm proud of :)

Everything from getting up & working out 0dark early to law degrees!

I am trying to learn to be patient with myself, build my self-esteem and my self-respect. Geez, it's hard sometimes!

So, I'm proud of myself for staying on plan today.
and I washed the floors in the kitchen
and I did my yoga workout.

Three things I didn't want to do but I felt really really good about getting done!

Yay for us!
