Looking Good, Feeling Great - Shopping during weight loss

I've bought many new pairs of pants this year during the course of my 20 lb weight loss. My old pants are un-wearable and the new ones slowly get bigger too. This is definitely a good thing! But I don't want to continue wasting money on clothes when they will just end up being too big anyway. One pair in particular I felt GREAT in when I bought them (they are a 4 and it was a HUGE accomplishment!!) but I put them on today for the first time in a while and they are too big all over and I just feel silly. Anyone have any tips on how to get by or where I can get cheaper pants?? :chin:

USED!! goodwill, salvation army, etc.
they especially have tons of tiny sizes.
I'll echo Bonnnie. Consignment, Goodwill etc. You can usually find better quality there.

I bought my clothes at Goodwill . Salvation Army, Savers and Consignment shops. You can often find new clothes in these shops. You need to check often as you never know what they will have and it goes fast.,

That is a great idea -- I have had the same problem. I have went from a 22 to a 16 and still have more to go lol

I heart Target. Anytime you go in there, they have at least one 75% rack, where there is usually always some pants. If you have a Belk in your area, that is another good bet. Their red dot clearance is awesome. Once a month or so, it is an additional 50%off the already marked down price of 50-75% off. I just bought a "$48" pair of capris for $5 yesterday.

I have to agree with Goodwill, Salvation Army and other consignment shops. They do tend to carry lots of tiny sizes. I would suggest Kohls girls department also but you may be a bit too tall for those sizes. I wear a 14/16 and the length is perfect for me when I find something that isn't too little girlish.

I also agree with goodwill and other shops alike. Also possibly check, maybe some may have sales?
My mom and I were just at a thrift store Monday, and while we were in the checkout, we found out that Mondays were always half price days.
But yeah, you'll always find different things there, and cheap, so while losing weight, one of the best ways to not go broke over clothes :)

I guess I will have to encourage you to shop for new clothes at the stores of your choice. It looks like I am having to elbow lots of fellow 3FC'ers at the thrift store racks!

I'm in Canada and found Reitmans to be a FANTASTIC place for weight loss shopping - their pants are always on sale and i've bought dress pants for as low as $7.99 Canadian, and they look great! That was the one tough part of losing weight for me too - the cost of always replacing my clothes. It's a nice problem to have though. :)
Congrats on the size 4 - that's fantastic!!

Find a good tailor. They can take in your clothes. I find this is particularly useful with skirts. I had one skirt taken in twice and now finally have to retire it. :(

First time shopping after my weight loss goal! Feel great! I found this new system! Helped me a lot! Has anyone heard of reminderoo.com? It’s a new reminding system helps remind myself with the reminders I have for certain days! So I keep myself organised with what I need to eat according to my diet schedule!

Why the frowny face?! That's a GOOD thing! :D
JC Penney is my favorite place to shop. More specifically, the clearance racks:)
I almost refuse to buy clothes when I'm losing weight though! I don't want to waste the money on clothes (especially pants) that are going to be too big for me in a rather short period of time. Shirts aren't too bad...I try to buy shirts that I will be able to wear while losing weight and still look fine on me for a while. The jeans I have now are so saggy in my butt and they fall down my hips...I've just been using a belt to keep them up. I'm sure they look ridiculous, but I'm being stubborn right now lol Eventually...probably soon, actually, I'll break down and buy a couple pair. But I'm like you...I don't wanna spend more than like $10 on a pair of jeans that aren't gonna fit for long.
