Ok as no one else started it....scare yourself slim between 27th September and 1st November so within 5 weeks (kept the same weight in day from last time).

Hi All,
have had a bad week, and gained weight...am pretty disappointed with myself, had an event last week that I had really set up as a goa;l to look great for.
And I saw lost of people who hadn't seen me in ages, got lots of compliments, felt really food about myself, and what was the next thing I did....broke ,y diet for 5 days - really and truly what is the story with that??
Anyway, i hope to get really back on trak as and from today.

I lost 3lb this week - no idea how I lost the extra pound. Exercise has been a struggle and have been fighting the urge to binge the last few days.
Ellie, I'm sure the weight you put on will go very quickly after a few days back on plan. You've done so well over the months just draw a line under the last week and start again now. Fresh week and hopefully you will have a good loss this week.

Congrats everyone who's lost! You're doing so great!!! :D I'm actually really proud of myself because I've started working out on a consistent basis (YAY)! My GF and I made a bet-- whoever loses the most weight by New Years wins bragging rights, as well as $200!!! I'm not prepared to lose this battle. ;) I walked 2 miles today, and am planning a workout for later in the evening. At least I'm no longer letting my diet do all the work for me. I'll weigh in in about a day or so. Hopefully I'll reap the benefits of the changes I've made!

well 1lb down...dont ask me how cus I really havent been good.
I truly cannot get back into exercise what so ever, went for a run last week nearly killed me and i was soooo good with exercise in august and start of sept then crept away from it..and now i feel like im back at the beginning afraid of the gym!!

Actually weighed yesterday instead of today as will be hard to weight discretely at my parents' house today and have lost 2lb :) Now 15 st 1 so hoping to see the 14s next week :) (though mayeb TOM will ruin that) I did non stop physical work as we've been putting new beds together and changing rooms round this week btu I managed to do soem exercise on top of that and ate fairly healthily instead of using it as an excuse to have takeaway :) One day I was very stressed over a few thigns and no time to cook and my husband was about to get takeaway but I didn't let him :)
Well done to everyoen else hwo lsot - will update the statistics Sunday evening or Monday morning. Hope everyone is having a good (and on plan) weekend :)

Yes I'll race you :D I was still 15st 1 yesterday and TOM started today ( I thought it would be later in the week) so hoping some of that is water - so I'm going all out to lose 3lb this week :D:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: OK realistically may take 2 weeks to get to 100lb weight loss but worth a try :)
We must of lost similar amounts for a while - I think we've both been losing 2 or 3 lb a week? Very excited to of lost so much - never thought I'd be able to get anything like 100lb weight loss :)

On a side note, I went to Macy's today to try on some clothes and see if I could wiggle my way into any smaller sizes. I was rather skeptical, but I did manage to fit into a smaller size (almost). 3 pairs of size 10 shorts, and a pair of size 10 dress pants fit rather snug, but nicely. However, I went to try the jeans on, and I can button them, but they're tighter than I'd ever like my pants to be. Back to work I guess!

So, me for this week, been a bit up and down, but today, am at 185, so pretty pleased with self in many ways, but just really itching to be 12 stone, and in the normal weight category, wish time would just fast forward.

This is a fun forum and I wish someone would scare me slim. LOL I have been on a junket of binge eating and am so hungry. Trying to get the carbs out today. Need some exercise.:carrot: (low impact only) Wish I could get to pool but am such a cold person. Maybe if I dress for sub freezing weather and put my suit(bathing) on 1st? :^:Anyway it is imperative to my health that someone else besides the doctor scares me! :devil:My hubby just doesn't get it. I was very well behaved!! dunno, sometimes it just works, but I do tend to be a little excessive sometimes, and not eat quite as much as I should -which is very bad really. But - also, have a slightly dodgy scales, and sometimes my estimates from it don't match up with the doctor's scales (weighed every second Tuesday) which results in me posting smaller losses from my estimates, and then bigger losses for the week after, which were really from the week before if you follow me.
But after all that, I am actually going to revise this week's loss, as was very bad yesterday, and today seem to be at 187 is TOM, but nonetheless

1-2lb a week is considered realistic weight loss. As you approach your goal weight you may lose much more slowly and all along your weight loss journey some weeks the scales may go down mroe than 2lb and sometimes not at all.
As you're just starting and as your starting weight is 230 I'd aim for 2lb a week. I'm still aiming for 2lb a week now and I'm hoping to manage that defiantly until I'm down to 14 stone but maybe even down to 13 stone but as long we my weight's going down then I'm happy :) To lose 2lb a week I've reduced calories and I'm exercising 5 or 6 days a week for about an hour. Depends on your body but I never had any problem losing 2lb or more a week in the first few weeks though not everyone is the same. If you don't want to exercise as much then after the first few weeks you may be better to think about aiming for 1lb per week instead of 2.
I try and keep longer term goals in mind as well which help keep me motivated to carry on on the weeks I don't lose as much as I hope - eg. there was a weight I wanted to be by the time we went on holiday and a weight I hope to be by the end of the year (which I've changed 3 times due to losing at a faster rate than I originally expected :) Currently working on being 14 stones by Christmasish :)

Good luck with staying at 175 :) When we went away I put on 1lb but 4 days later had lost 4lb so must of lost while away (didn't deprive myself of anything but did have much smaller portions of everything and did do a lto of walking). It was the fear of beign morbidly obese again which motivated me not to eat too much while away!

Yes exercise doesn't always burn quite as many calories as you expect but when I started exercising I did half an hour 5 days a week or even less and at that time was losing 3lb per week a lot of weeks so no harm in building up slowly. There's about 3500 calories in a lb so that gives you an idea of how long it takes to burn a lb off too. The best way to lose weight is cutting calories a little, doign some cardio and doing some resistance training but you have to make changes which will fit in with your life style and that you'll be able to maintain when you reach your goal. Read all the forums here and you'll find lots more helpful information. Any regular exercise will make some difference. You can't just go straight to 6 hours a week, need to build up slowly and being more active in your day to day life - walking more if you don't normally, other physical activities around the house etc. can all make a difference too.

It's great isn't it! Last time I did it, I lost 11 inches all over in the ten hours. Unfortunately I've put on 30 inches all over since then. I looked yesterday at the measurements she took in November last year that were still in my purse. Then I cried! For a very long time :( I didn't realise exactly how much I'd put on. I was so upset I only had 500 calories all of yesterday and did an hour of callanetics with all my muscles shaking and trembling. I felt horrific - what a silly thing to do! Hello All,
Everyone really does seem to be doing well here.
My weight for this week is 185.
I would really love to beeat my target and get in to the 12 stones by next week -but we'll see how I go

Your' ehoping for a whoooooshhhhhhh in the last week too :) I've done a load of extra exercise this week (as school holidays next week so might not get much chance) and the weeks before did a lto of physical stuff so sure I should be due a whoosh soon. Hopefully within the next week or two you'll be in the 12s :)

I lost 2lb which means I now lost 101lb :carrot: Can't believe I've made it to 100lb loss. Int he past I would of given up long ago. Will update everyone's weights now as I think I have new weights from most people and will do the final update on the 1st November.
So what are we doign next week? Any volunteer to update the weights next time :D

maybe we should go all the way to Christmas with the next challenge?
I don't mind to do next, or we could all take turns, so biggest loser each week does the next week's sums?

lol i reward myself for every 10 pound lost.. my sister thought i was crazy but hey i deserve it. my 50 pound loss i am gonna treat myself to a manni and pedi. thanks for the support...

Rainbow, sorry about my changing SW and things! I lost a stone about a month ago, and when I came on here I just put my SW as my weight as of that day. But yesterday I thought, you know what, I worked hard to lose that first stone, it should be counted! It's ruined my lovely rounded 230 to 130, but those extra pounds count! Now, I'm officially 245/223/135 - that's my final decision, honest! :)

So I'm still at 164...wish I would've lost some, but at least I havent gained any because I've had no exercise and I'm sort of watching what I ate...this week I will be moving so I God only knows how I will do then....but after I move I plan to be VERY focus on this.
I think that each month's biggest loser should be the one to update the followings month stats...unless they don't want the responsibility....so what will November's title be??

Hey, to update, I lost 5lbs this week, taking me to 196.5 and ONEDERLAND! Woot! :)
So I lost 6lbs this month and went 1/2lb past my goal for October. Yay :)

I was feeling pleased I have had 1lb off each week for the past 5 weeks lol. 3lb away from what I wanted to be for Halloween, but as long as I am heading in the right direction I'm happy enough :)
I have no idea how some of you managed to lose 100lbs+ ! Seriously fantastic work!

and whooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :carrot::D:smug::dizzy: strange it's nto been my best week food and exercise wise but I did non stop physical stuff the 3 weeks before hand so gues smy body needed the break. The girls are back to school next week so back to 1 hour a day of exercise from Tuesday.
4lb lost :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: I'm not 14 and a half stones :carrot::D Hoping to see the 13's by the end of next month :)
Well done everyone, looks like it's bene a very good month for weight loss. I'll add the final results up tomorrow evening.
