100 lb. Club - Let's talk about a touchy subject...

being "the sex"

This is ONE THING that as people who have lost or are losing weight, we never talk about!

I am having the BEST of my life right now. Now it could have something to do with my sexual peak (lol) but I can tell that you that with every single pound I lose I am able to do more, get closer to my husband and feel more than I ever could before. And I thought I had a great sex life THEN!

I tell you... losing weight was WORTH IT... if only for the sex part!

Have you found this to be so? In not so graphic detail so we have a chance of keeping this thread open ;)

Mine has never been bad, but it's better when I'm thinner. I'm more flexible of course,:D but mostly I feel better about myself and feel sexier!:carrot::p

Confidence is key, so the weightloss helps there.

I've only lost the 20lbs so far, but I can already tell I'm much more...um...active and have a longer endurance in the bedroom!! I can't wait till more of me sheds away!! I have a few positions I've missed dearly that you just can't bend into with the extra buldge!

Just had to laugh, (in a good, funny, way) at the title of the tread, "a touchy subject" Sex is definitely that!:D

Don't be jealous, in my case, it helps to be married to a horndog!

It's one of the things I look forward to having more of as I shrink. :D

Don't forget, Sex burns a good amount of calories!

The thing I like the MOST is how we just meld together now. There is no big belly to get in the way, my pubic mound has shrunk, my tummy has shrunk UP so it's not longer hanging in front. It's the closeness... I loves it.

Mine has never been bad...sure I've had some moments where I felt self conscious! In my line of work it's my job to give help give a woman the confidence in the bedroom regardless of size, age, or anything else a woman might consider a limitation.

Here's a good study :) http://www.aphroditewomenshealth.com/news/20081018010617_health_news.shtml

I know my new found flexibility will help incredibly when I'm back in my baby's arms on Friday night. He and I have had a great sex life ever since the first time and it will just continue to get better.

My sex life has always been quite good however when I gained weight it definitely went down a notch or two. As I have lost weight I have noticed an increase in my libido and confidence and for my husband at least confidence is quite a turn-on (I think the same goes for most people though). That coupled with the fact that my muscles are much more toned and can stand a lot more (yeay for squats!) makes things a lot more fun.
Plus we can't forget that being more limber can be really useful. :cb:

Ladies, it's not all about feeling more confident and more sexy. There is a physical reason why losing weight increases your libido. When you lose weight, you release your testosterone to work for you! More testosterone means more desire ...and more satisfactory results.....if you know what I mean. What used to be maybe a 7 or 8 can now be a 10! ;) Also, exercise can increase blood flow to certain areas which makes those 10's easier to achieve.

The increased energy & range of movement that I have is A LOT of fun!

Also, my husband has lost weight too and I didn't realize just how much of a man's penis could be "lost" to being overweight! Doesn't make a huge difference physically, but as far as his standing and looking in the mirror goes it's excellent.

i havent lost much, but i feel better in myself. i have worked realy hard on the nutritional aspect so i have buckets more energy, which means my husband gets alot more action. i am really looking forward to seeing how much better it gets when i lose more!

I remember Dr. OZ saying on Oprah once that for every 30 pounds lost, (for a male) equals approx. one inch in length...just sayin.:o

We've always had good sex - my husband found me sexy when we met at 175, and just as sexy at almost 300 lbs, and has always made me feel so.

So yeah, WL hasn't really changed much in our sex life, but I guess maybe some positions are easier again.

I'm lucky too, in that I married a horndog heheheh He was hot for me at 300 and just as hot for me now, he always made me feel gorgeous even when I was enormous! Being close to 90 lbs lighter, I find that I don't get so tired afterwards, and can go again sooner :D hehehehe It's a good thing. I don't think losing weight will FIX a crappy love life, it can only improve on what's already there. But that's the same with so many things - being thin(ner) won't make you happy, that has to already be in there somewhere.

That's a great incentive! I never thought of that.

I heard about the size thing from Dr. Oz. I believe it. My husband lost 15 pounds recently and I could tell!!!!

As the rest of you my husband and I have a great sex life as it is but we use sex as a incentive to lose weight and all the crazy money hanging from the chandelier(which is not possible at 250+ lbs because it will fall XD) and then be able to have sex on the wall.. lol which is something I've always wanted to try but just dont have the stamina for..

Hmmm.. sex is the basis of our marriage...litterally! It was a one night stand went wrong I guess...lol. We were friends for 11 years before the one night stand that never ended so please don't think I picked up some stranger at a bar..lol.

We have always had a good sex life.. it's getting better lately though. Hubby has lost 45 pounds and I have lost 26 since July.... there is a big difference in how close we can get now.. and that is important to me. He has another 20 to lose and I have another 30 to lose to get down to where we met. He wants to stop about there... I'm shooting for my highschool weight... where I was when he started asking me out.. yep he asked me out probably a few hundred times in those 11 years we were friends.

Being in college and being that college boys can kinda be shallow sometimes, my confidence has definitely gone up in the intimacy department. But I'm single, so I shouldn't be saying too much ;).

Definitely more space too. I hope as the overhang belly goes away my confidence will go up, that is the biggest damper for me.

Same here! I can just feel it and it makes me self conscious thus seriously turning down my flame and my urge to do anything really "fun".... *sigh* And we all know no guy wants a dead fish in the sack!

True *but* you can have an abundance of testosterone and if you are not feeling positive about yourself then your libido is gone ;)
