I'm so happy that I got through that first week, I know I can do the next with full confidence now. I'm planning on going for one more week (3 weeks total on Induction phase), that way I'll be (hopefully) 12 lbs from my goal. Then I'll go to the next phase.
I was having massive cravings for Starbucks coffees, which is weird since I hardly ever went there before. Then it was hard to walk through a candy area in a store, something I never had a problem with. I used to have one Lynd dark chocolate a night when I was on my Low Cal diet. So that was enough to satisfy that craving. Thankgoodness, I didn't give in.
In my first week, I lost 7 lbs. :carrot:

I totally eliminated sugars, including substitute sugars as well. I'm choosing to only eat fruits to satisfy that sweet tooth....of course when I get to OWL. For now, I drink chai tea (lipton tea bags) with heavy whipping cream.
Now I'm not sure on what to do about the chocolate cravings. grrrr!

:bravo:on your first week of Induction!
Pay close attention adding fruits when you get into OWL. Be sure to do it according to the carb ladder, with berries being first. Fruit is a common "staller" for some people so, be sure to add small amounts & monitor it closely.
As for the chocolate cravings, during Induction you could try the Brownie Mock Danish & the Mocha Cafe Panna Cotta....both are Induction friendly:)

I put in another post what I do for chocolate -- probably induction friendly (Kim, can you help on that?)

Marscapone cheese (used for tiramisu - check near the ricotta in your grocery store) one or two tablespoons (technically it's a cheese, but really it's just butterfat). A bit of sour cream or whipping cream, and a half teaspoon or so (to taste) of dutch process cocoa. I don't sweeten it (but I like DARK dark chocolate) but you could. Mix it up and you'll see a small amount goes a long way.

Mmmm, that sounds great. Thanks :)

Marscapone or Ricotta cheese is not permitted on Atkins Induction. You could probably substitute cream cheese....but, I'd advise being careful as cream cheese seems to be a common "staller" for a lot of people....myself included.

Actually, for chocolate cravings... I found this drink at 7-Eleven called "Muscle Milk". Nutrition info here --> http://www.thedailyplate.com/nutrition-calories/food/generic/12-muscle-milk-chocolate-milk

It's definitely not as bad as eating a piece of a chocolate bar, and it usually silences my chocolate cravings for the time being. Mind you, I only drink a few sips at a time.

"Muscle Milk" contains ingredients derived from milk....which is not permitted on Atkins Induction.
