100 lb. Club - I want to weigh LESS than my husband

09-22-2009, 08:44 PM
I can't wait 'til I weigh less than my husband again. Right now, I weigh 20lbs more than he does---but he's 6' 1" and I'm 5' 4". :o

There's something about weighing more than my big/tall husband that just isn't right. :(

Come on, weight loss! :cheer2:

I'd settle for the same! He's 5' 8" and 140 lbs.

You know, Jack Spratt.

I'd love to weigh anywhere near what my husband does, lol! :) He's 5'11" and usually about 180lbs.

That is a major goal of mine. Right now I'm 228 and my husband is 221!!! I can't wait!

In my fitness notebook I have a list of goals. On that list I have both weighing less than him and having a smaller waist than him. He is 5'8ish" and is generally between 172 and 178 and his waist is 31-32. I'm 6 inches shorter and weigh about 25 pounds more and (ACK!!!) have slightly more than a foot larger waist. I'll get there though, we all will - just keep plugging away and before we know it we can hide behind them if needed, hehe

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, my DH is shorter than me so it's a double whammy. Back when I was a blushing bride I weighed less than him so it wasn't a significant issue. I mean, I fell in love with this man so what's a girl to do?! :dizzy: But now that I weigh more it's incredibly embarrassing. I guess I'm just lucky that he's really supportive and NEVER makes me feel ashamed.

I would love to weigh less than my dh. He's short 5'6" but since I've known him (about 15 years) I think the most he's weighed is 150...and he promptly started running to get back into shape (140). It's ridiculous that he weighs less than me...I can't wait til I hit the 140s...hopefully by the end of this year.

Good luck!

Oh can I relate. I was so ecstatic to weigh less then my husband. I even posted about when it happened. Wait a sec. Okay. I just searched it and here it is......

at one point I weighed 100 lbs more than my bf. now I weigh about 60 lbs more than him. His weight is coming off very slowly right now, hehe, giving me time to 'catch up' :P

I need to lose about 30 pounds to weigh the same as my BF, and we're about the same height. As it is we can share t-shirts, but his jeans are way too small for me.

Oh yes, i totally understand! I weigh a lot more than my husband, and it's been a goal of mine since I had my twins 4 years ago, to weight less than him! Guess I better get moving! I still have a long way to go!

Yup, my hubby is about 5'6" and weighs about 150...

I do remember weighing less than him, but it was a LONG time ago.

I did a HUGE victory dance and blog post when I weighed in at less than my husband. He's over a foot taller than me, so I still have a much less healthy body weight, but darnit I am proud I weigh less, rather than 30-40 pounds more!

09-23-2009, 07:39 AM
Yes, totally understand! It was one of my goals too. I weighed about 30+ lbs more than he did and he's 5'9". Although, he never said anything to me or made me feel bad about it. Always supported me. Now, I finally weigh less than he does and it makes me very happy. :)

You'll get there!! Just keep at it.

Yes, indeed. I did weight less than DH a year ago - but, I think it was for 10 minutes.

Wow, sounds like there are a lot of us in the same boat.

I must say though, my husband has NEVER said a word to me about my weight, and there's been a MAJOR change in it--when we started dating, I weighed 120lbs less than I do right now.

He's a keeper! :D

Same deal here :)

This is such a goal for me too!

My husband just quit smoking a few months ago, so while i've been losing weight, he's been gaining. He keeps saying "i absorbed the 20lbs you lost." :( He's around 194 right now. (5'8") Little does he know, we're only 23.6 lbs apart right now. But he's starting to lose some weight, so I have got to get moving if I want to catch up & surpass him!

09-23-2009, 08:28 AM
My DH has never ever said anything negative about my weight, too. That is a blessing.

09-23-2009, 08:53 AM
Beverly, I swear if you asked my husband now he'd say I do weigh less than him! He's so blinded by love..

God bless the good ones...!

09-23-2009, 09:43 AM
That is a goal of mine also but my husband is a small short, 5'5", guy so it will be a long time. I don't know how much he weighs. He would tell me but he might ask my weight and I sure won't tell him!! When I get smaller, I will ask him. :)

09-23-2009, 11:49 AM
Me too, but mine's 6' and a VERY fit 160 lbs. He's even got a six-pack. :sigh:

09-23-2009, 02:24 PM
I too would love that. My Hubby is 5'11" and anywhere between 178 and 195, depending. He's on the slim side right now with all his stress, of course he loses weight when stress. Plus, he's given up smoking and taking Zyban and still losing. i hate that. Wish I could lose as easily as he does.

09-23-2009, 02:36 PM
I weighed more than my hubby for many years. I was thrilled when I finally weighed less than him. Now he can pick me up, I really love that. Just keep plugging away at your weight loss and you will soon weigh less than your hubby too!

09-23-2009, 05:11 PM
I've been there with guys I've dated... I heard an expression once that makes me smile: "If you can fit into my pants, you can't get into my pants." LOL.

09-23-2009, 05:15 PM
you guys are too funny!!! my wife always says i have to weigh at least 50 lbs more than her

09-23-2009, 05:34 PM
LOL! Same here. My hubby has always weighed 30lbs less than me until he started gaining weight...the gap is slowly closing and soon we'll weigh the same, but we are both trying to get in shape. Either way, I still want to weigh alot less than he does:)

09-23-2009, 05:46 PM
Well you go girl! You can do it! We ALL can! My man is also 6'1 and I'm 5'4. He weighs 168 so I have 22 more pounds to weigh 1 lb less than him! hehe!

I got me a good one too. He thinks I am just a bit chubby! He's so in denial that I am considered Obese! LOL! Sweet guy! Gotta love him!
