Hi all! I just joined today after stumbling on the forum. I'm 23 years old and have been chubby all my life. During the second half of college, (USF--go bulls!) I crossed the threshold into full-blown fatness. I bought my very first bathroom scale today and was humbled by the reading--246.
Since I never paid much attention to my weight when I was younger, I don't have much of a reference point. I do know that I'd like to get down to the size I was in high school, when I wore size 12 jeans. I wear a 16 now and do not want to go any higher.
I'm not sure when exactly I became fat, but it seems like all of a sudden I was cowering from friends with cameras and dreading shopping for clothes. I'm ready for change, once and for all.
I'm eager to get to know all of you and be a part of this community. I've already found so much inspiration just reading about your successes--big and small.
