Twelve Weeks. Forty Pounds Down.
Oh my gosh.
Here I am, 48 years old and I NEVER thought I'd be able to say this...
I started my new eating plan twelve weeks ago and I have
LOST FORTY POUNDS!!!!!
My BMI reduced from 44.8 to 38.7
I've never lost more than about ten pounds or so on purpose.
I'm so excited!!!

Congratulations! That's amazing in such a short amount of time! Do you only have a new eating plan, or are you also exercising?

No magic in what I'm doing.
I limit myself to 1200 cals per day (I'm 48 and perimenopausal, so my needs are less than younger women)
I eat a lot of veggies and lean protein. Some fruit, but more veggies. Most of my carbs are from fruits and veggies-- I've recently introduced some strictly limited quantities of rice and pasta, but I MEASURE those.
I've found a few single serving things to snack on-- reduced fat cheese sticks, yogurt, instant miso soup-- so that I don't mindlessly graze.
I swim laps or walk 4-5x a week, but I'm more likely to slip up on exercise than on my eating plan.
I record my calories on fitday.
I check in here often (are you sick of me yet???)
