Hi everyone! I am not really new new. I joined a while ago but have since fell off the dieting wagon for quite some time now and unfortunately gained MORE weight . Well I am back with a new determination and a more positive attitude towards reaching my goal. It also helps that my DH is also along for the ride.. It was also an awakening for me when I was diagnosed with diabetes this past June a day before my birthday. Thankfully, it can be controlled with diet, no meds at this point. Well I rambled on enough but I do want to say that this is a really great site and I wish everyone the best!

Welcome. It's great to hear that you have a partner on your voyage to a new healthier lifestyle. I, too, was recently diagnosed with the big D (type 2). I wish you and your DH success.
