View Full Version : Attempting to kick another habit

In the past 5 or 6 months, I have really begun to rely on Crystal Light sugar free hard candies as a something to have in my mouth so I don't eat when I ain't hungry. A serving size is 7 candies, I normally have 3 servings over the course of a day. I want to stop depending on them so I am giving them up...hopefully. Wish me luck!

While you are working on that, I will be working on not smoking. So wish you the best and just think, you're not the only one giving something up...lol :nono::smoking::nono:

Good luck with that one but candies are soooo much better than those nasty ole cigs. I gave those up one year, two months and twenty something days ago. Boy, if it wasn't for sugar free gum I would weigh a million pounds!! Good Luck:)

Good luck! you can do this! I quit smoking 2months ago, was into the candies too. Mental note, if you switch it up and go for Sorbee candies (broader range of flavours to choose from) just stay within the recommended serving sample as going overboard actually acts like a laxative! so, needless to say that broke me of the sugar free candy addiction! I am now sugar free gum girl...if only my jaw would stop hurting! :)

Haha :D Thanks so much

I had an issue with sugar free sucking candies at one point. I finally said enough is enough. It was something I was overeating and I didn't want to be OVEReating anything, anymore ever again.

Those candies don't stand a chance! Oh no. Not when you've made up your mind. You decide to do something - and it shall be done.

You are so going to do this.

Are you quitting entirely or cutting back to 1 serving??? just bein nosy! I had to kick the Crystal Lite drink - those cute little individual serving thingies for bottled water - i was having 2 a day and then wondering WHY am i getting heartburn every night when i've never had it before??? Once i quit the junk I was fine LOL but it's soooo gooood and so many flavours wahhhh LOL OH right this is about YOU and NOT ME!!! i forget that sometimes :D heheheh

sending you will power dust!!!

09-03-2009, 09:48 AM
I am quitting them entirely. I have learned during my lifestyle change journey, when I have a food that I over indulge in I have to just get rid of it completely or it leads to disaster.

Good for you too and thanks for the dust :D :hug:

09-11-2009, 05:56 PM
They were good for me as a distraction for constantly wanting to eat but when I started overusing (over eating) them too, it was time to say no more :o
