S/C/G: 272/228/under 200 for now

Height: 5'0"

Default Something to look forward to

Next summer in July we will be going to San Antonio for about a week.
We'll be staying in downtown. We'll be flying there and will be without a car and depending on public transportation to get to and from our hotel. We will be staying about a mile from the convention hall that we will need to go back and forth to several times a day.

If I had to do that today I'd be in bad shape! I know I'd be miserable.

So I guess you could say this is one of my mini-big goals. I want to be able to not be miserable in Texas, July of next year. I'm not even sure if the seat belts on the plane would fit around me right now. I want to be able to ride on that plane comfortably. Its hot in Texas in July! I want to be able to walk that mile to and from the hotel in the heat and not feel like I'm going to pass out and die right in the middle of the sidewalk! I want to be in shape and weigh a lot less by then. 301 days from now I want to be healthier than I have ever been in my life. I don't expect a miracle and lose 125 lbs by then or anything. I just want to be much healthy and lighter than I am now.

I think this is a great goal! You have lots of time to get in better shape, lots smarter than trying to lose 20 pounds in a month for a wedding or something. You can keep track of your weight with a scale, but maybe you should come up with a way to measure how much better you are walking. Good luck! Oh wait, you don't need luck, you have commitment.
