Woah !

I've been wanting to try these videos but haven't had much money.
I've looked on Ebay and it's more expensive even on there.

I bought the "Walk This Way!" to add a workout to my C25K running.
It was only $4.95 with free shipping :)

Thank so so so much for posting that info !

Hey - has anyone ever wondered how many calories you burn doing Leslie's walk? I just noticed on her facebook page this question and this answer from Leslie.

"Does anyone know how many calories you burn with the 3 mile walk or where I can look it up at. Thanks:)"

Leslie said "you walk 100 calories per mile depending on your weight and intensity. If you boost your workout it is 125 per mile. In 3 miles you will burn between 300 and 375 calories. If you have any other fitness questions you can call us at 724 658 1400 and ask for Mona"

interesting stuff ;-)

WSChick - remember you can get the 5k with a twist for $5 - I think it is worth a shot. I had a US friend order me a copy, I can't wait to try it. I wanted to get that one your got too, but I didn't wanna cause my friend any more trouble lol.

This morning I did:
Walk Strong (2 miles)
2 mile brisk walk

At first I wasn't sure about the walk strong since I count steps (goal of 10k a day) but it was a good work out, I enjoyed it!

I have a lot of videos already but I think I need more. I want something that's a good work out but maybe a bit slower for those mornings I am feeling slow and tired - any suggestions?

As part of my exercise regimen, I do a three mile walk each day. I like walking and I find it very relaxing. With the unpredictable weather in Colorado, I was starting to worry that I may have to spend money to walk circles inside a building, or worse a treadmill. :barf: I was reading another post in a different thread and it mentioned "3 mile walk dvd". After some Googling and forum searches, I found this post and was thrilled to see a link with a coupon code. :dancer: So I went ahead and ordered the "5K With a Twist" video and am eagerly awaiting delivery. Thanks, again, for sharing.

P.S.
Today, I walked my usual three miles. This time I did it before dinner. I have been experimenting with various exercise times to see how it affects my blood glucose levels for the day. I feel like a human guinea pig sometimes. Especially when things go awry and I get all light headed. :dizzy:

Good Morning Gang

I did 3 miles this morning. I used the AHA Start Walking Now dvd and boy what a WALK that is! ;)

Anybody know where Kim is? she's usually in here every day???

Diabetic Z - WELCOME! we're so glad that you found us! You will love the 5K with a Twist when you get it!

WSchick - I'm sorry I'm just now noticing your question. I love the 5K with a Twist. I think you can watch a piece of it at Leslie's website and/or at collagevideo. But it's a great workout. I started out just doing regular walking why they were boosting, but now I do the jogging with them. if it is too much at first you can always keep walking while they boost. She has one of the gang do that so you can follow along. I would definitely get it.

hope everybody has an awesome :running: day!

Cathy

Yesterday I did the 5 mile advanced dvd.

This morning, I got up - put on my shoes and started a video, then turned it off. I ended up riding my exercise bike instead. I was 30ish pages from finishing the 3rd twilight book, so I wanted to finish that instead. hahaha

I love the bike, but it makes it hard to get in my 10k steps a day, cuz the pedometer doesn't count right for it. But it still counts! lol

Hi! I'm new to 3FC and this is my first post. I hope I post this correctly and in the right spot. I do walk away the pounds 5 times a week 4 miles each time. It's tough trying to keep up that schedule, but I've dropped 13.6 pounds since I started in mid June.

cathyxxx
09-28-2009, 04:17 PM
oh we girls I sure have skipped a few days of walking :(

I didn't get up early enough to do a Leslie dvd this morning, so I went and walked 35 minutes at the mall during lunch. I'm calling that 2 miles :)

Welcome Peace4Me - it's great to have you posting here! you are definitely in the right place. CONGRATS on the 13.6 lbs lost!

hope everybody has a great :running: day!

Hello everyone! I thought that I would jump in. :) I have been doing outdoor walking for some time now and my weight loss has hit a serious plateau. Because of this, I started doing Leslie's tapes to get my energy back up. I have a tendency to walk slower than I should when I'm outside. :(

On Saturday, I did Walk and Kick.
On Sunday, I did the Two Mile Walk.
Today, I did the two segments and the warm up and cool down from the 5 Day Slim Down.
