Silly me... I thought last week was the last week. My brains are scrambled.

Here's all I can pull outta my memory ~

GW: 207 by Sunday.

I dusted off the ole exercise ball last night right ~ filled it up good and big and set it aside to use this week. Well the boys (DSS's) decided to play on it. Jeff told them to quit and put it away. But one final bounce from the littlest resulted in 2 broken bones in his left arm last night. 20 minutes before we were leaving to taking every one home. Needless to say, his mamma was not happy. There's a much longer story about that.... but I'll save that for off the internet!

K girls. Got lots of work to do today. Looking forward to a work out today...

Jen ~ sorry you have no gym for a week. See it as an opportunity to challenge yourself to find something new to do!

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts girls. It has been tough. I find myself just breaking out in tears at random times. It is so strange not having him here. Sometimes it just takes me by surprise. I know this is all normal, it is just hard and I don't want to be sad anymore. They are certainly members of our family and losing him leaves a hole in our lives. Thanks again girls.

Nix- Not funny about the little ones arm, but man!! Sometimes they just have to learn the hard way. My son was forever doing stupid things, and then paying for them. Boys will be boys.

Wow, so much to comment on. Mindy, I am so sorry about your loss. I am sure you did everything you could. No regrets. I am sure it is devastating to watch though. I'm sure he's quite at peace now, and is already running around with Inga. Biggest hugs and much love to you. xoxoxo :hug:

Kris...yikes! Broken arm?? I love what Mindy said, boys will be boys, that was exactly what I thought too. But of course it doesn't help the relationship with his mom, who probably already has her own issues with you. (I assume) I am going to look for your wedding dress when I'm done posting here. Do you have a David's bridal near you? I think I'll look on that website. Be back to post in a bit.

Jeni, you made me laugh right out loud about you trying new things. We are so much alike. If my gym closed for a spell, I don't know what I'd do either. Not that I'm going lately, mind you. LOL Do you do videos at your home? I thought I remembered you doing videos a long time ago. I don't have the discipline, I just sit down instead. Oh you can do your Wii?

Yea.....that was strange, I've been eating exactly on target almost this whole challenge and I totally binged out this weekend. I think I was nervous about starting bowling (wooohooo!) but doing it sober around a bunch of drunk people. Plus I graduated from IMPACT last thursday and I think I was grieving losing that too. But I am happy that my schedule is finally lightening up. I went walking yesterday while the kids were in school (YAY!) and I'm already dressed to go again this morning. So I'll just wait and weigh out for the challenge next Monday. I had 245 for a goal, but I'll be thrilled with 248. Anything less would be icing.

Kris, I PMed you about getting hooked up on facebook. If the rest of you get on there (which I HIGHLY recommend!) let me know!!! Amy (holyT) is on my friends list, I'll see if I can get her to join our next challenge, speaking of which, Halloween? Thanksgiving? I vote Halloween. I actually still have a few of you on my MySpace page(jeni, Shari). Which I rarely even check these days, unless I get an email alert that anyone sent me a message. FB is so much funner. (yes, Mindy, I know the teacher in you just cringed when I said funner)

Good Morning my friends. I hope everyone is doing well!

Kris, I was also going to say that about boys will be boys. Its not your fault that an accident happened. JEEZ.

Mindy, I'm sure you will get back to the 170's! You are doing awsome, weight loss just slows down.

Michelle, everyone I know is on facebook. Except me. I will have to set myself up on there, but I don't know how often I will check it. I never check myspace.

My choices for working out:
1. Go for a jog outside (probably in the rain) which I will do IF it is not a down pour.

2. Pilates Video

3. Wii Fit

4. My normal ab/strength workout.

5. All of the above.

Chances are I wont get in any cardio this weekend, we are expecting some rain this weekend. I will do the rest of my stuff listed though. and I will jog if there is just light rain.

I was very happy with my scale this morning. It was down to 142! I wish I could have put that in my stats for yesterday. Oh well there is always next Monday. I am voting for a Halloween challenge as well. Its 8 weeks I believe.

E 1200 planned clean calories
D I want to go visit my mom and sister today, I haven't seen either of them in 2 months.

Jen - I guess since what you do OVER and OVER is working, then I can't raz ya for not trying something new. I need to try anything at all! :)

Mtiggie - slow and steady wins the race. Any race! I learned that from you and today I am down .2 and going to be happy with that. Will simply repeat decent choices for another day and see if .2 keeps falling away!

Where's everyone else? Mavie? Grazer?

I joined the Biggest Loser Challenge AGAIN (4th time is a charm, right?)

Well Kris, I do change every once in a while. REALLY I DO! I change my clothes every day :)

actually I did start interval training because I heard 6 weeks and most women drop a pant size (worked for me) and I did start weight training last week :) so I do change, but very rarely.

(Oh and I did join facebook today, just not sure what to do with it yet).

Oh my goodness! Exercise makes us do crazy things!!!! So I finally got off my butt and went to walk the trail. Did the 2.2 miles, about 45 minutes (?) and decided I wasn't ready to stop, so I took another fork in the trail, walked 20 min only to have that path end in a swamp! So went all the way back...felt tired, right up until I was almost back to the begining, got ANOTHER wind, decided to take a different fork, and did another 20 min back and forth. so my 45 min walk turned into 90 minutes. It was warmish with a cool breeze and felt FABULOUS. I wish I remembered how good that feels, then I'd never hesitate to do it!!!

Off to find Jeni and become her first FB friend!!! xo Michelle

Jeni ~ Sorry the gym closed on you. That sucks! Maybe you can pal around with the kiddos for exercise this week? I vote for the Halloween challenge too.

Nix ~ Sorry the little one hurt himself. Kids. :no: I love the ideas so far about the wedding! I don't know much about weddings or dresses, all I can tell you is to not get a dress you can't walk in! I remember I watched some wedding dress show with Nessa and this chick picked out this dress that was really fitted around her hips and she couldn't even walk in it! Her father and uncle had to help her out the car and into the church! What's the point of that?! Thanks for the encouragement btw. :hug: And I rejoined the BL challenge too! Maybe we'll be on the same team!

Mindy ~ :hug::hug::hug: So sorry about your dog. But WTG on seeing the 170s! And 35 students in one class is beyond stupid. How can each kid get the needed one-on-one interaction?

Michelle ~ You did awesome for this challenge! WTG on the exercise! I have the same problem, when I do it, I feel wonderful, it's just the getting me to remember that that is the problem!

I'm on Facebook, but like Myspace, I rarely use it. I'll love to have everyone as a friend though. I guess yall can pm me?

Ladies, thank you for your support on my loss. I only cry a few times a day now. Guess that is an improvement. I know it will get better. It's still really fresh.

I was still 180.6 today. TOM is in about a week, so this time gets a little wonky. Just hope I don't go up too much. I want those 170's back. it looks like most of us are on facebook these days and can all be friends. I pm'd a few of you tonight. Look me up.

Michelle- things are really changing for you. Finishing your program, kids in school, bowling. Lots happening. You keep up the good work. you have been doing awesome.

Jeni- You will always find a way to workout. Congrats on that 142. I want to be there with you someday.

Nix- That's right!! Slow and steady. You can do it. How about a size 10 wedding dress?? I too am doing the BL challenge again. We will probably be on opposing teams again. Good luck!!! By the way. Red kicked blue's tail this summer. :devil:

Shari- Get this. The k rooms each have 42 kids. 42 4 and 5 year olds. Can you believe it???Someone has lost their minds.

BTW... 42 kids is asinine. Plain freaking stupid. Counter productive and maybe Kindergarten should just go away altogether ~ nuts....

Mindy, I couldn't imagine that many kids. I really don't understand how they can expect kids to learn in that kind of environment.

Well ladies, imagine this. today they told us we could have 2 teachers back. So a Kinder and a 3/4 split. Here's what sucks. The teachers we lost (displaced) can't come back. That includes my BFF. Doesn't that suck. this whole thing was totally senseless and frustrating. Now we will get 2 new people to our building instead of having any consistency.

I found Michelle and nix on Fb. Still waiting for Jeni to respond. I was up to 181.8 today but I think TOM might come a bit early. hopefully that accounts for this little gain.

Hi Ladies. Just checkin' in because I totally bailed this summer. I am at an all time high of 173. I'm trying to get back on track- I started c25k again and trying to log what I eat. I've gained about 10 lbs this year.

Mtig- so sorry to read about your loss. I've been there and it really sucks.

Nix- I'll be right with you next challenge. I have two boys- one of whom will probably experience several broken bones because he is fearless!

JCat- You rock! Way to go on the pant size!

Nursie- Congrats on all that you have accomplished.

Today is MY friday. Well for my real job. Will probably end up working the business this weekend. At least it will keep me from sitting infront the computer with a bag of Doritos!

Jeni- Our contract does provide for that scenario. It should, but doesn't. We are also working without a contract right now because, believe it or not, we can't agree. Imagine that.

I was still 181.6 today. I didn't eat too bad, but I feel like a beached whale. TOM must come along and give me some relief. I was told by 2 people today that I lost my butt over the summer. I can live with that.

Kris, I hope your friday at work was good. Mine was SLOW! There is nothing worse than a 12 hour slow day.

Scale was at 142 again today YAY! but no morning run for me. I just cant find the energy yet. I think if it is nice I will take the kids for a long walk. They can ride their bikes and I will just keep up. I also want to take them to visit my mom for a while.

EEEWWWWW I HATE SLOW DAYS! Sorry Jen. Those suck... and 12 hours...EEWWWWWW!

I am off for 4 days, but going to help Jeff clear out a foreclosure (work). Also, going to go to the pound and look at a dog or two with future MIL. Then clean my house, and I think we are having crab legs for dindin.
So I gotta work hard and preburn some cals today!

207.8 this morning. Going to try to squeak out 1 more lb before next challenge. So ready to just sit and paruse wedding mags though... ahhh.. thats the life!

Trying to get seriously refocused too. Have not been able to run, have a wicked case of bronchitis, not good for the half marathon I have coming. May need to walk more than I run. Still OK .

Happy Saturday everyone! So I did not work out at all yesterday, but I did visit my mom and sister for about 6 hours.

Today, movie and lunch with DH and maybe buy myself a couple of shirts that fit. Maybe. Its raining and windy out so no running outside. :( I miss my treadmill.

i am trying, just really really struggling lately. Not all the bronchitis but that is certainly screwing my running.

I dusted off TurboJam this morning too. No excuses, kids are gone to school, only me to get ready in the am, DH leaves just about 5 am when I roll out of bed. Need to cut short the 'puter time and get me moving in the am. One or the other 5 days a week, then a hike on the weekend and I am good.

I am also going back to school 9/14, 2 nites a week 6-9:30 both nights, ouch. Need to focus to keep all my motors running

Who wants to read a story? Just post it in the MisAdventures of Shari album. :) I got in three hours of walking yesterday. Actually, it was about 4 hours but 3 of those hours were back to back. It sucks being poor and having no transportation. I was all over freakin San Anto, going to a Target, Walgreens, and Walmart because they all had really good sales on groceries that I also had coupons for. Target was a 30 min bus ride away, Walgreens 15 min. I suppose it won't have been so bad if I had started early in the day like planned. But no, I woke up in horrific pain this morning and stayed in bed till late afternoon. When I could walk, I went to the clubhouse to use the phone. I called in to work then called Susie cause I really miss my dog Pullo (she's keeping him until I get the money up for my pet deposit). She said she would come by after 6 so I rushed out to hop on the bus for Target. I shopped, waited an hour for the bus, and managed to get home a few mins before 6. I waited for 2 hours and she never showed up. With my phone being off, I had no way of calling to see where she was. Since it was Saturday, that meant it was the last day for the sale at walgreens and also my yogurt coupons would expire. So I left the house around 8, while it was still light, and hiked over to the Walmart. I tried calling Susie about six times from there but she never picked up so I left a message and took the bus to the Walgreens. It was a little after 8:30 when I got there, I got my stuff, tried calling Susie again from a payphone, and missed my bus. By this time, it's completely dark and drizzling rain. So I laced up my boots, gathered my bags and umbrella, and started the trek home. I left the Walgreens around 9pm. I got to the Walmart around 11. Since it was already late and I was walking home anyway, I did the rest of my shopping at Wallyworld. I get in line and try to pay for my things and it wouldn't take my card! Seriously?! :tantrum: One of the few times I actually have money on the card and it doesn't go through. So I ended up using the money I had in my pocket and I left around 11:20. My apartments and the Walmart are on this very busy interstate-like road that has no sidewalks. There is the hiking trail that runs behind Walmart into the river bed under the bridge but the part that is on my side of the river is just a bunch of tall grass and woods, ok to hike through when it's broad daylight, no way in **** when it's pitch black. So the only way to get home at night is to walk the road, hugging the guardrails and praying you don't have a run-in with a drunk driver, soon to be roadkill, or some jackoff who thinks it's amusing to ride the guardrails and scare the **** out of whoever has the displeasure of walking that way. I did just that, and I made it. I got past the guardrails and did a Russian march through the tall grass (I wanted any creatures lurking about to know I was coming though) until I made it to the sidestreet leading to my apartments. I stood there, breathed, and thanked the big man that I wasn't hit by a car or bit by a snake, rabid raccoon, and/or possum. I turned my head and was startled to see four deer staring at me! Two adult and two babies. I looked at them, they looked at me. One of the adults took the Bambis and walked off a few feet then stopped and looked at me again while the other adult stood his/her ground and gawked at me. I started to walk away when another deer popped its head out of the grass! We all watched each other for a few minutes then I continued my walk home. I got home a little after midnight. My back and hip hurt and my feet were swollen, I just wanted to crash. But, of course, since I had to use the money in my pocket at Walmart cause it won't take my card, that meant I had no money to put on my laundry card so I had to wash my uniform for work in the tub and hang it out before I was able to get to bed. Nice. :dz: Buuuttt, I guess the brightside is I got plenty of exercise, I saved $18.77 with my coupons and the store coupons, and I got my first raincheck thingie from Target (this was also my first time shopping there too). They had 80% lean beef on sale for $1.49/lb but they were all out when I got there. I've never had a raincheck receipt before and it just tickles me. :lol:

Whew, that's a novel! Hope you all have great Labor Day! So what's the next challenge?

WOW, now THAT was a story!!! I was holding my breath imagining you walking down the highway like that!!! Don't scare us like that anymore! Neat about the deer though, I could picture the standoff. I've heard that adult deer do attack if they feel threatened. Glad you made it home okay. There ARE easier ways to get your exercise in though! And you did all this walking with bags of groceries? You need a wagon! (not that it would have helped in the rain...ugh)

So...yea. You guys should be able to tell what I'm doing by how often I'm posting. And weighing in. I blew off the last monday weigh in bc i was eating off the hook, I continued to eat off the hook (and still walking, what was I thinking?) really binged out friday and sunday, and today's weight is 256.5. augh. hello holy self sabatoge anyone? I get in a good groove and blow it. I need to get a handle on the binge eating thing.

I love the enthusiasm of a new challenge though. I think I will post the invite to the Halloween challenge and finish my conversation there. I'll come back and post a link.
