Well, I hope you all had an Amazing August!!

I seem to have fallen off the wagon, losing your internet connection has some odd side effects ;)

So, if Ellie doesn't mind, I thought I'd start a September thread and promise to add up our losses on Sundays again. Hopefully I'll get myself back on track too.

So, race you all down to Sunday Sept 27th, 4 weeks from........

Pebbles, I hope you sneak down a pound or two this month. I guess you are at that gruesomely difficult stage, just a few pounds to go and so much effort required - good luck!

That's right LiL PiXiE, I collate the info on Sundays and post everyone's progress.

I've started some blogs, hopefully I'll be able to jolly myself into success. So 3FC blog for how I feel and FitDay for the measurements! Fingers crossed, something will work!

im in again havent been on the scales as yet since literally coming back from hols this morning to be honest im so tired i cant keep my eyes open so will weigh in tomorrow now and let today go....but by end of sept i want to be down to 132 at least!

That's great Stef! I have posted a link to this thread at the end of the August one...

So, I am in again, today is a good day, as I am now officially out of the Obese BMI category, yippee. And on this challenge, I am set to go under the 200lbs mark, double yippee, also the thinnest I was the last time I lost weight was 196, so all going well, I will exceed that too.

I also have a big event at the end of September that had been a target for a while to look good for it, have bought lots of fancy clothes etc for it, so I have a real drive to be ultra good in September.

Hey Touchmytoes, I know you may feel a bit disheartened, but to put it in perspective... At the beginning of August you were v. worried, and since then only 2 tiny little extra pounds have been added, which you will get rid of in no time, also, i find if you do have a bad bingie time, then if you get straight back on track those extra pounds are easier to lose, as you have kind of jumpstarted your metabolism in the bad weeks!!!

yeah im hoping that as soon as i cut down the carbs again my body will start kicking back into fat loss again, and today i went out and bought another pair of joggers so its serious business again now with the gym...

honestly dont feel like i did when i was this weight before, so the exercise must have made a **** of an impact to me losing weight and feeling better, so im defo upping the exercise as its just so good for you.

last night of wine and a chicken dinner with roasties....

then tomorrow salad!

Hey guys, I'm new here and would love to join in if that's ok. I could really do with some motivation. Trying to cut down my sugar intake as it's my biggest weakness, i have a VERY sweet tooth:o. Also I have 3 kids (and a hubby who is worse than kids) and they love their cakes and chocolates so that makes things even harder for me !!! Let's see if I can do it this time and more importantly stick to it. Good luck everyone.

Right, agreeable or not, ive had this week off the gym and diet, i knew that if i did it it would only be half a rsed and so im gonna start up again monday and i dont mean that in a 'maybe next week' sort of way, im just being sensible. Hopefully our new house go through this weekend so will have a glass of bubbly and dont want to worry about it.

isnt it amazing how much a tan makes you look slim?! i honestly look slimmer than before!!

one thing to be noted was that looking at pics prior to hols at about 135-136lbs i did look a little gaunt..not a good look as im alittle taller...

so may maintain at about 138 ish and just keep active?!

Just got back from holiday and I missed my weigh in at slimming world so my current weight is not necessarily my current weight...but oh well!! I've weighed myself at home and it says I've lost 2lbs but I'll wait until Monday to confirm it.

OK, here we go! It's a fairly small target this month, but it's a MAJOR milestone if I get to it.

I want to lose 6lbs in September, getting me to the milestone that is onederland! :carrot:

So 1.5lbs a week gone would get it done, cos I wanna be in Onederland come October!

I do the same. For some reason whenever I feel physically unwell I look to food for comfort. Hence, why I put on a stone every time I get an injury, and half a stone when I'm sick.

but it really does work. i just saw a pic on our computer of me when we went to devon back in june and i had been exercising then too,about 5 times a week for about an hour each time and i noticed a little over hang of fat when down my legs as i was wearing a shorter skirt, i wore the same skirt on hols and at a similar view there is no over hang...!!! wooop wooop!!! that to me is just brilliant as ive always had huge thighs and bum! i was going to post some pics but im a little shy to be honest...

I will have a look at the old album and see what ive got...its strange when you see yourself through the changes and then see yourself after you have done some work, brilliant feeling and you wonder why you didnt do it before!!

...still 166, dont understand--all week I've ate so good--on Wednesday 9/2 I was on the treadmill and did 4 miles, also did some Billy Blanks. Friday 9/4 I started 30 day shred--and I just got off the treadmill now from doing 3 miles and about to go day 30 day shred again--::Sigh:: I will keep going--maybe I'm gaining muscle!! Muscle burns fat so let me keep going!!

Congrats to all that lost some weight this week, especially Rainbow. Good job!!!

Lost 1lb - down to 204.5 which I'm happy with, at least I'm consistent, but I'd love to see a couple of slightly bigger losses, even just 2lbs would make me really happy. Going to write a proper plan tonight though and make sure my pointage is absolutely perfect this week!

Wooo!!! LOL I must say I was shocked when I got weighed in at my group this week, I was only expecting 2 at the most. 5.5lbs... I'm down to 238!!! Out of the damn 40s I'm so happy!

Ok, I am going to 'fess up to a 4lb gain last week. I was home in ireland and eat my body weight in cake. Half of it is gone already , so I am back to where I started and I am working hard to see a drop this week. Keep it up everyone.

I haven't been keeping track of my weight, or really monitoring what I've allowed myself to eat lately. I had a 4 day binge all last week which included 3 visits to DairyQueen and severely overeating a bunch of junky, preservative/additive filled food at my mother's house. I've noticed that often when I'm around my mother I obsessively eat, and I think it has to do with the way I was raised and the attitude they have about food. My mother is over 300lbs I believe and has tried WW and other diets before, but ultimately quit. I didn't understand what healthy eating was until I moved out last year. I didn't even know that I liked vegetables, because I'd never had much more than peas/carrots/corn as a side dish while growing up. I'm afraid of her habits becoming my habits, and mostly I'm afraid because I let that happen when I'm around her with those bad foods within reach. I guess it's a matter of mental willpower and retraining my brain. Just wondering if anyone else experiences different eating habits around family or friends? Thanks for listening.

well...back to 166. It wasn't a good week for me...felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. Negatives outweighed the bad and unfortunately when I'm down...I eat crap, my body craves junk SOOOO....hoping for a better week this week. I'm upset at myself for letting LIFE distract me from my goal. Life happens...I can't let that control my mind and take away from me what I want!

Well, despite everything looking positive at the beginning of the week, I was down 3 lbs to 196, as of today, I am the same as last week at 199 - I am really hoping it can all be attributed to female aflictions - and that it will all come off again and more when its over, but am worried it won't, so wish me luck.

Finally getting around to posting my weight for this week, sorry I was out of town for the weekend.

I'm up to 154.4, but I'm actually ok with it cuz I used a new digital scale and my birthday fell right in the middle of the week, so I had dinner, cake and then 2 days of leftovers!! I finally threw away what cake was left or else I would have seen a much bigger number lol!!

I haven't been reporting my weight because I'd been ashamed of myself. I had gained weight, and in fact weighed 162lbs again. I have recently cut dairy back out of my diet and am working on becoming more active. Since then I've lost the weight I put back on, and am back down to 159.6lbs. :halffull: I'm so excited to see movement again. Admittedly, I've weighed 162 for the last 3 months. When the scale initially dropped I was so excited that I lost track of my discipline and put it right back on. I'm happy to finally say goodbye to that weight. I'm done maintaining "overweight". Time to move on to healthy! :goodvibes

When the scale initially dropped I was so excited that I lost track of my discipline and put it right back on. I'm happy to finally say goodbye to that weight. I'm done maintaining "overweight". Time to move on to healthy! :goodvibes

we're about nearly the same BMI I'd say - and I think you are very right about not mainiatining overweight, because it's a slipery slope.
I don't know what a psychologist would say about it, but I have always felt that if I actually managed to reach my goal weight -then I could really throw myself in to the maintenance part, and what has happened to me in the past, is that I have given up at about this weight (a little higher actually) and then started to let things slide..
So, now is the time to focus on getting to that healthy weight once and for all - good luck, i know you can do it - and don't let yourself be swayed by relatives!!

PS, am posting my final weight today

It did all come off after my hiccup last week, on the Tuesday I went to my 2 weekly weigh in, and I was 195, and then over the rest of this week, have gone down to 192, so although I am posting a loss of 7lbs this week, which seems a bit unrealistic, in reality it is 2 weeks loss

Stef, what are your thoughts for next month - any more challenges planned - or should we all do a shared challenge where either the highest or lowest maybe? loser takes on the compilation of the folowing week's results.

I wonder if we should share the compilation! It sounds like either a carrot or a stick, depending on how you look at it :D

What about we all suggest a thread title in the last week of each challenge and the daftest/funnest/cleverest gets to be Henny Penny for the month?

I'd suggest Halloween Horror but that isn't very comforting or optimistic is it ? :dizzy:

I'm on track for this month, so I'm feeling OK. And I've got myself a netball gig - just umpiring and running training sessions, so I could be OK next month!

Current weight 216lb :) :) :) :) Now just under 15 and a half stones :) :) :) :carrot: and 1lb under this month's goal weight.

Thanks Steff (and also Ellie) for running the challanges :) They've helped me stay motivated. No idea what we should call the one for October - Optomistic October sounds a bit boring.

Down to 164...all week was 164, tried bringing it down but maybe the cake I ate for my son b-day?? Or the pizza and breadsticks I ate didnt help?? lol

So for October....thinking of a name but it's hard! lol I'll throw some suggestions out there, but I don't feel they're great but anyway:

2. Fall into a new size (because we are now in fall)

Hiya....

When i weigh in October im going to be more or less back up to my original weight...

ive suffered health wise yet again and for those who have read some of my previous stuff they will know what i mean..its rubbish!

anyway...so weight more or less same although ive not weighed in some weeks.

the exercise that i did has helped me from looking too bloated but i know how i feel.

back on it....i promise...being a woman sometimes is rubbish isnt it....but then id not want to be a man either!

It happened! I met my goal this month of 125. I stuck on 126 for the last couple weeks, but this morning when I went on the scale it read 125. :carrot:

Final weigh in: 158.6 lbs.

Actually a total of 3.4 pounds lost, since I let myself gain up till 162...
Not what I had originally planned, but a much better place to be than where I started.
