Hi ladies : ) Here is to a new month! :carrot::carrot::carrot:
To those of you who would like to join in....please feel free. All are welcome and we are here to post our minutes/goals to hold ourselves accountable and to help support and encourage one another.
We all have various goals and different fitness levels, there is no wrong or right here whether it be 10 min. a day or walk 3x a week, etc. We tailor our workouts according to our own best individual needs. THe girls here rock and are very supportive so if you should be just starting out don't hesitate .
Exercise goals will be listed listed here, while weight loss goals, etc. will be listed in our sister thread, "September Weight Loss Challenge".
Still thinking about my minutes......I might say 1200 again or bump up the minimum. Thanks for another great month together

Woo hoo!! I can't wait for next month!!!!!:carrot::broc::carrot:
Thank you to all the ladies in this group! Thanks especially to FSA for keeping us going month after month!
Exercise Goals for this month will pretty much be the same...
Strength Training 3X a Week--I'd REALLY like to change this up!!! So, my goal may change...
Cardio 6 Days a Week--HIIT 3 days and C25K 3 days
I'm not sure if I'm going to keep my scheduled day off...I have been getting antsy on those days so I might just ditch it...we'll see.
Now, off to see if I can convince hubby to let me order the P90X so I can have a new strength training routine for Sept!!! ;) Wish me luck!!! :D

I have been agonizing over this... and I thought I wanted to go with minutes but I hate to time my workouts like that because I fear they'll become something I feel like I have to do. With that said...
I would like to continue with the c25k.
I would also like to continue Curves 3x per week.
I would like to finally begin doing some real ab work at least 2x per week.

FSA - you're early, you said not until tomorrow! LOL thanks for all you do chickie.
CMo4 - Totally get it, you know you want to, Nello and I are doing it and you want to be cool too don't you? It was my best sleezy teenager drug pusher voice too. But aside from my silliness it is a great workout and I would highly recommend it, not to mention that you'll get all the super fun cardio that's made my swear.
Delphi - holy crap you're my kind of insanity hun
Dcapulet - welcome back, awesome job pushing through the hard stuff last month, really great
SG - So glad you're back on board, whatever you're doing it sure is working.
So I'm going to start my P90X on Monday and my official goal for those keeping track is to complete P90X, Doubles, Training Block 1. Which just means I'm doing the P90X program with my running M-W-F as well. Good times!

Alrighty then, I am new to the exercise thing and feel a little nervous sticking my toe in this thread.
I have a lot to learn and figure I should start slow, so I will commit to 20 minutes a day. I am not sure what I will do in those 20 minutes as of yet but I still have a day to figure it out. Maybe I should start with something like the treadmill, seems easy enough and not overly scary =)
So I guess that works out to 600 minutes for the month of September. Doesn't seem like a lot but I guess it is 600 minutes more then I moved in August, lol.
Looking forward to learning a lot from you girls!!

Tummy~ Drug pusher voice! Bwahahaha! Okay, so I was looking at the program again last night and I don't want to have to shell out all the cash on the system plus the resistance bands and pull up bar and and and...so what do you REALLY need besides the DVDs to be able to do the program?
Welcome to all the newbies! I used to not post as much on the exercise thread, but I'm telling you, this thread really keeps you motivated! So, even if you don't post--be sure to read this thread! Seeing all these wonderful ladies working their tails off and all the minutes and miles adding up is a fantastic motivator!!!!! :)
Here's to a great month together ladies!!! :carrot:

CMo4- The only thing you really need are free weights, which you already have, bands for the pull ups and chin ups (mine were $18 for a set of three) or a pull up bar, a heart rate montitor is recommended, you got that too, and a cushioned mat (like a yoga or pilates mat) for the floor work but a carperted room might be ok too, I have no carpet so I haven't tried that though. You're almost all set!
Myownsaboteur and Krista - Welcome, we all start small and get used to it, then we get really jazzed about it, then do more and then look for all these crazy workouts we can do that we never thought we could. Almost across the board I think we're all doing a lot more than we thought we imagined ourselves able to do and in no time you'll be there too!
Nellwynb and Angel - Welcome and congrats on starting the C25K, CMo4 and Shrinking Girl are over halfway done, and MsPerception just finished and ran a 5K yesterday (although she hasn't checked in hoping she's ok) and I know that there were a few more so you have lots of good running company and helpful adivce too if ya need it.
Bootsie - What a cute name, that made me smile, welcome aboard and look forward to getting to know you.
For everyone new, I have to second what CMo4 said, which I always do, lol, but she's right, there's days you just don't want to do it and you feel the weight of the world on you but I can't even tell you the amount of times I logged on here in the early days especially and had decided not to exercise. I read this thread and the weight loss thread and before you know it I was on that elliptical or lifting weights, it was remarkable the amount of motivation and commitment you can muster from reading other people's successes.

So, I'd like to start this month with the exercise thread. This should be interesting keeping up with both threads, weight loss and exercise.

Hi everyone! I'm new, too. I've been lurking on the August exercise thread, waiting and waiting for September to start! Thanks, FullSteamAhead -- it's easy to see that you put a lot of effort into making this work. This is just what I need to achieve consistency in my exercise.
I've been walking most days, but I'm not really sure how many minutes in the last month, so I'm going to make 1200 minutes my goal for September and I'll count everything: dancing, walking, strolling, toning, and stretching.

New to the exercise challenge this month. I'm finding that my knees are doing much better with my weight loss so my excuse to not run is no longer valid. So goals:
*Run for 3 minutes straight
*Run at least twice a week
*Work out at least 4 days a week (I listed this one in the weight loss challenge as well)
*Find time for a 2 mile swim sometime before the end of the month
I have swam 2 miles before so I know I'm capable of it. I just struggle to motivate myself to swim. Plus I have to drive downtown and pay for parking to swim at the pool I like. YMCA is closer and has free parking but they keep their pool too warm for laps. Ugh, drives me nuts!

A quick hello!
Tummy and all~ My 5K was TERRIFIC! I LOVED it! It was actually a 3.7 mile course (rather than the 3.1 mile=5K) and I finished in 28:35, so I was thrilled with my time and felt great before during and after! I wish I could do a race twice a month or something. :D I am seriously considering working my way up to a half marathon next year...can ya believe it?! That's plenty of time to decide if I'm crazy enough to do it! LOL It's just...they had a long course (half marathon) at the race I did and we all started out together and you see and hear these people talking about their other races they've done or that this is their first long course run and it was just super cool to think about doing that sometime, kwim? I'll work up to a 10K first though, of course...baby steps....
Anyway, I'll set my goals tomorrow. Good night, ladies!
Hi, I would like to join in if I can. I hope to start doing my Wii and other tapes again and get in a walk while the weather is still good. I will be starting slow for now as I get back into things. But slow is still better than none. I would like to do a 1/2 hour a day so I guess 360 hours for September. Wow so far from 1200/2700.

So I just started running last night. It was hard but it didn't hurt really. But now my shins are aching. I'm sure that being on my feet all day today contributed to that pain but the running is definitely the main reason for it. So What should I do: Take some advil and push through it until my body adjusts to my new routine? Take some time off and start slower? Any exercises to help prevent shin pain from future runs?:?:

Hi aclaia, I hope your feeling better. Oh gosh girl, No I wouldn't recommend pushing through it! whenever we feel pain like that or very sore it is good to let the muscles rest otherwise we risk facing injury. Are you just starting out? Would you consider starting by walking first? then as you gain fitness you can increase the duration a bit and then as you get even more fit you can increase the speed etc. and then maybe start alternating between running and walking (if running is your ultimate goal). A lot of the girls here started walking first (I beleive ) and worked up to the running. Perhaps some of the other girls here can offer some input too. My suggestion would be to let your muscles rest a d ay or even 2 (if needed) and/or do some arm exercises etc. Keep us posted okay? Your doing great, congrats again on all of your successes thus far :)
Bigmid, In the goals list I put a 1/2 hr. a day and approx. 840 min. (based on 28 days) so that gives you 2 days leeway. Please let me know if this is okay and let me know what you want your final calculation in minutes to be. I dont have a problem to change it. I think a 1/2 hr. a day is wonderful! When I first started I remember putting in walking 3-5 x a week or something like that (I had to do more though cause I quit smoking) but I really think it's a wonderful start. Welcome aboard :)
Welcome to all and great to see everyone. I sweating again for some godforsaken reason so heading downstairs. THe dewpoint is low, it's not hot.......and if this has been perimenopausal stuff nailing me the past few weeks...........ay ay ay ay! ok .......I had to vent! lol. chat soon.

Short 20 min for my 1200 for August, so going to keep my mintues low at 1200 again for September. And I bought a pedometer so I am aimimg for 10,000 steps a day - using walkertracker.com to keep track of that. Chances are if I am getting 10k steps a day, I am going to have at least 1200 min of exercise, but I will see because cleaning and shopping counts, lol. :)

Well I've been walking and had no problems with that, so last night I moved up to alternating running and walking (8.5 min of running out of 30 min total). So I think I'll just cut back to less running to start. Also, I talked to my sister who trained for a half marathon last year. She said she started with shin pains as well. Her trainers told her this is often a result of your shins not being as strong as the muscles in the back of your calves. So working my shins and taking it slow should help.

Aclai~I used to get shin splints (pains) every time I would try to start running more and I've heard many things about how to handle it. This time around, I used the C25K program to transition from walking to running and I did not have shin pain once. I finished the program last week and though it may not be what you want to do...the idea works. Slowly building your running up with walking between until you work up to running for longer stretches. I also do shin strengthening during my strength training. It's not an easy muscle to work. Trying to stand on your heels and hold it for a few seconds is a good one, though. If you do still get pain, ice it, but listen to your body, like FSA said.
So good to see so many ladies ready to start the fall off with a great move toward better health! I know I am ready to keep moving in the right direction. I figure if I keep consistant, I should reach goal in 3 more months! Yay!! I would LOVE to be in maintenance by the holidays! I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, though. Here we are beginning September and I'll be thrilled to meet the goal for THIS month! It's all about baby steps...LET'S DO IT!!

Sept 1st~ C25K W5D1 :running: (41:47)
Well, I did it! I managed to get up at 5:00am (even after a night spent tending to the girls over and over and over *yawn*) and I did the first day of week 5!! :broc: It wasn't nearly as tough as I thought it would be--and I'm chalking that up to running outside. I have a feeling that if I was on the treadmill I would have been having a harder time. There's just something about running outside that takes your mind off the fact that you're running at all. Does that make sense? And the fact that it was still dark out--added a bit of giddy up in my step! Lots of dark creepy shadows and big giant bushes for monsters to hide in ya know. ;)
MsP~ I'm with ya! I really want to be at maintenance by the holidays too! I don't think you're getting ahead of yourself at all! I'd say you're setting a pretty great goal for yourself! :)

My Minutes:
9/1: 48 min walk/run (2.5 mi run)...hope to add more min. later
Well, I took my 4 y/o out to the track with me and let her play while I ran laps. It was okay with her for the first 2 miles, then she was getting bored, so I cut my run a bit short (did 2.5 miles). The walking back and forth to the track did add some nice minutes. I don't usually run on the track anymore, I like the road better...more scenic. Anyway, after today's little experiment I've decided maybe it would be better for me to (God forbid!) get up early and run or bike before the kiddos have to get up for school. I know some of you do that, but I was really trying to avoid that since I've done it in the past and gotten a little worn down from it after a while. This time it should be better though, since I won't be getting up as early as I've needed to in the past. I think I'm gonna have to shoot for 5:30ish. Wish me luck!

It's September fellow exercisers  and I'm starting on time with this one! I've been thinking about my goals for this month and even though it's aggressive for me, my goals are going to be to do C25k 3 times a week and exercise a total of 2430 minutes for the month. I've got to shed these fat cells!! :carrot:
Aclai - I would suggest starting slower too, I remember having sore shins but nothing crazy, it was more the quads for me. Personally I had to pull back a bit in the beginning as my mind thought I could do more than my body could. After the restart everything went fab and have had no issues since.
MsP- I'm so looking for a run now, you have totally inspired me. I have a 10K plan waiting for my p90x to be finished too. A half does sound doable in my head, my dh has been wearing all his marathon finish shirts around a lot lately to tease me that I should aim higher but I think a half is lots.
Nello - Day 1 was good, got the run in and did chest and back w/abs. Those abs are tough, i don't think i've ever felt that much burn in my stomach before. But got it done and almost fell in my own sweat pool, no one said this was glamourous! Got plyo today so I'm super excited, it's my favorite. Good luck today and let me know how you did.
:welcome: to all the new ladies, it's a great place to be and look forward to getting to know you all.
Tummy~Right back at ya, baby! Once I saw your post I went to find a schedule to gradually increase my miles each week. Look at the inspiration goin' on here!
I am burning calories left and right today with all the cleaning and stuff I'm doing, so hopefully it shows on the scale!

Hi Guys
Great idea:
My goals are 1280 minutes for the month as follows
10k per week running, so a total of 40k for September or 240 mins for the month
cycle to work twice a week - 560 mins for the month
Circuit training - 1 hour per week 240 mins for the month
Yoga -1 hour per week 240 mins for the month
If i get a swim or a surf in it will be a bonus. Also, this month will be a challenge as I have a friends wedding and a holiday abroad. Not complaining about that though!!
Good luck everyone :-)

Alright, my goal for Sept is 1500 minutes.
I took everyone's advice, and tried week 2 of C25K. I think I could have totally done it if I hadn't moved to the new house. Everything surrounding where I live is either up or down hill. I wasn't familiar with any of the little roads around here, and started to walk down it, only for it to turn into a dead end, so turned around and then my first run came. Almost died running uphill, lol. Tried another road--also a culdesac so I had to turn around, and yep, my 2nd run also ended up being on a HUGE hill, which this time I did not finish running. Third run was downhill (so easy, lol) and 4th run was on flat ground. 5th run uphill again and I just gave up. 6th run wasn't even on a hill and I said scr*w it--I'm done! Walking back to the house was so uphill that I was pooped just from that pushing DD in her stroller. So, I think I am going to put C25K on hold for a bit and just go walking up the hills around here for now. I am planning on getting a membership to the Y though, so I'll try starting up the program again on the treadmill. Nervous about running in front of people on a treadmill as I will probably slip and hurt myself or go crashing into another machine and hurt somebody else along with me and my pride....but I've decided to try this whole working out on public thing a try! So I guess that will be another Sept goal--to go workout in the gym!

So I was all stressed out today and couldn't wait to get to the gym to work it out. But by the time I got there I had reached the point of stress-induced nausea. I hoped I could push through but I just kept feeling worse. So I left, telling myself "I'm going to go home, do what I have to do, and come back to do my cardio."
So I went home, cried, screamed, vented to a friend, and ate a banana. My nausea went away but I didn't feel like working out anymore. I felt like moping! The good ol' fatty stand-by that helped me gain so much weight: sit on my *** and feel sorry for myself.
Somehow, I managed to make myself go back to the gym. 30 treadmill, 30 min elliptical. I feel so much better now!

Bootsie-I know a few things that can help, but none are "fool proof". First is proper hydration. Not enough water seems to help cause and intensify cramps. Second is potassium....have a banana or spinach! There are actually other good sources of potassium, but I can't think of them right now. LOL Third, you might try an OTC supplement. My parents swear by Dolomite for cramps in their legs. It's a natural supplement and is supposed to really help. Hope I've provided some possible solutions!
I have to wait to do my bike ride 'til DH gets home. I woke up nice and early to go ride and it was still totally dark out. I do not have lights or anything on my bike, so I was not about to ride in darkness. That'd be asking for trouble for sure! I told DH 'running in the dark I can do, but biking...no way!' Oh well. This is all still an experiment for me...figuring out a 'during the school year' workout routine. I'll figure it out.

Bootsie~ sorry, I didn't read the posts otherwise I would have replied! Cramps can be caused by lack of potassium so eating a banana or making you take a multi vitamin with enough potassium will help. Hubby was having major foot cramps last night--he headed downstairs and ate some salt--?! I guess a lack of salt can cause them too? I don't know, I haven't checked into that, but he said after he ate a pinch of salt it went away. He woke up with them again this morning and I told him to eat a banana--I didn't hear any more complaints of cramping after that. ;)
My goals are to exercise 1300 minutes, plus 500 push-ups military style on my toes and 1000 crunches.
9/1~ 25 min walk
25/1300 min ~ 0/500 push-ups ~ 0/1000 crunches

Bootsie- MsP and Idream are right! It is usually electrolyte imbalance and dehydration. So drink some water, eat a banana, and if that doesn't help, I suggest a trip to the doctor for a check-up, and labwork if it has been awhile. Potassium can be over-done, so be careful. Too much is really not good either.... hope you feel better soon!
As for me, I had to literally talk myself into doing my intervals today...UGH! but I feel sooooo much better now that they are out of the way!

Thanks girls I am going to drink a-lot of water tonight before I go to bed. I have some dried banana's i will eat some of them before going to bed too. I more than likely got dehydrated outside cleaning the back yard , building the duck a place to swim etc... but I am always outside, I drink like a galoon of water though. I think I will ride the bike in 3 - 15 minute 's instead of the 45 all together. Thanks

Hey Ladies,
So, I just wanted to update real quick, I will do personals later tonight when I can read (I think) all 5 pages I've missed. XD
I did post this on the weight loss thread, but yesterday was an awful day for me. Monday I was so busy, (I even walked out the front door without eating anything,) that I managed to drink 3 cokes! And I don't drink caffeine! So, naturally, I had a horrible withdrawl headache all day because of it. Not to mention the allergic reaction I had Monday from latex band aids in the Doc's office.
And on top of the headache, I slipped down a few stairs yesterday resulting in a nice, literally black and blue bruise next to my elbow. However, today I am laughing at my own stupidity for drinking the sodas, which made me feel horrible. While I didn't eat OP yesterday, I did exercise.
As for today, I feel great. I spent some time with a very close friend of mine; we went ice skating! However sore I am, (mostly my feet,) I feel so good, I'm about to go for a walk in the nice sunny weather. And I did stick mostly to the wall, since I haven't skated since I was 15. I used to skate when I was about 7, but just for fun. I took classes. I'm thinking about starting it up again, maybe 3 times a week? It's only 5 dollars for admission since I own my own skates, (for summer at least.)
Oh, and FSA, I think you added an extra goal to my list. ;) I believe the 3 minute run is Aclaia4067's goal.
I will be back for personals later! I hope everyone has a great day.
Tummy~ 17 mins on abs? Okay, that does it! I'm ordering that bad boy TONIGHT!!!!! I can do my 8 mins in my sleep--and I need to push myself! 17 mins should just about do it don't ya think? ;) Either that or render me immobile!!!

Hi Everyone:
I would like to join as well. I am just starting out on my exercise plan so it is going to look a little weak compare to everyone else here but I have to start somewhere, right? :carrot:
500 Minutes of Exercise. Walking/Aerobics
Right now I am at: 40/500
Sept. 1: 20 min. - Walk Away the Pounds
Sept. 2: 20 min. - Walk Away the Pounds
My Minutes:

I was on travel for work without a laptop so I'm late. I am increasing my minutes by 10% again so the goal is 968 minutes in September. Should be very doable as I'm off for a hiking/active vacation in Glacier Nat'l Park on Monday.
Thanks for running the challenge. It makes a huge difference for me!

FullSteamAhead - Thanks for the correction in my minutes it looks much better now. We'll I have had a good couple days and have made it to the basement to do the Wii the first day and then Walk off the pounds and the Wii yesterday. Now to get in the basement again today.
Sandye - the abs are crazy, I can't do the whole 17 minutes straight, there are some moves that I have to stop for one or two reps then get back it. I think I've done it four or five times now though and it's getting better, not eay but better. It's a love hate thing and he actually says that at the beginning of the dvd too, very true.

So far 3/3 for my P90X workouts. They are a bit much for me as I am pretty out of shape so I may switch to the P90 for the first 2 months and then try the P90X when I have a bit more core muscle development. I am going to try it through the weekend and then decide.

Tried out 30 day shred today, did STing on Wii and then went for a run/walk. Since I can't do C25K right now with all these hills at the new place and I am not able to run uphill yet. So instead I walked uphill and ran down them, lol. Still some running, right? The Y opens in a few days and I'll get a membership there and try the c25K there on a treadmill and see how it goes.

Found a brand new complete set on eBay (with guides and all) for $59--free shipping too!!! :carrot: I can't wait for it to get here!!! Hey, while I got ya, are the rings on the resistance bands a must? I got to thinking about it and mine are just bands. Did you end up buying the P90X bands or something similar?
bigsexy
09-05-2009, 10:49 AM
So I was sick yesterday and therefore wasn't able to do my 90 minutes, but I'm feeling better today so I may not get it all done, but I'm going to try to do both days' worth today.
9/1: C25K W1D1 (35 min w/ xtra walking); 55 min. aerobics = 90 min
9/2: Booty Ballet = 45 min
9/3: C25K W1D2 (45 min w/ xtra walking); 90 min. booty ballet = 135 min
9/4: Sick
9/5:
Sandye - Oh and I'm stealing your minute idea, I like brackets and it is sure nice to see those minutes there, very motivating. I think just bands would be fine, the main plus of the rings is that you have to flip over your grip direction multiple times during the workouts but the more I thought about it the more it doesn't matter, you can still do that with just bands as long as your palms are facing the rigth way, I think you're good. My handle came off yesterday (think i may have been pulling too hard, lol so I guess I'll find out too)
Nello - Hang in there chickie, my first time through was terribly hard too but I'm doing some of them for the third time now and already it's made a huge difference in how difficult they are. How do you do the p90 without the x?

Hello everybody!
I'm a little late signing up for this challenge, but better late than never, huh?
I was offline for a while so I didn't actually end up posting the second half of the month last month. I didn't reach my goal of 1600 minutes of exercise last month, but I did do 1300 minutes, and since it was my first full month of exercising, I was pretty pleased with myself for getting that far! :)
My goal for this month is also going to be 1600 minutes, so if you could add that in to your posts FSA, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!!
I'll put my log in another post. :)
This challenge is really helpful for me. It's great to be accountable for your goals in such a positive and helpful environment! :)

I started out feeling good yesterday, but by the time I had gotten up and cleaned the house, etc. that same feeling was back so I didn't work out. :(
I figured better not push it and just get worse, so I'll have to make up the time throughout the month and just consider this week a wash. It's ok I guess. I can't be awesome all the time! ;)

Day 7: 60 mins intensive Yoga, 60 mins circuit training
Goals nearly met, I didn't manage the cycling because my bike needs repaired, went to the gym an extra day instead though so fingers crossed that works. Can't believe 1 week over already, you're all doing great!

Okay well, the second half of week 1 was a waste and I did not meet my goals. We were moving, driving all over kingdom come, and I got no formal exercise (though moving should count since I did massive amounts of stairs, most of the time carrying boxes, etc.) but oh well. Moving on....week 2 has started out much better and I may get more in today.
hi all, hope you dont mind i would like to join in here, although i am very very overweight and have alot to loose i am fairly fit, i am in a gym and work out about 4 times a week for 45-60 minutes. to include at least 2 spinning classes :carrot:

I have just joined this forum. I can't go for runs or walks due to bilateral faciitis of both feet. I can ride a bike or use an exercise bike. I would like to set my first goals to 20 min a day for the first week and adding 5 min each week. I have not worked out in a while so I don't want to over do it at beginning.

And I accomplished one of my goals! Finally got the Y membership and have worked out the past 2 nights in public. Not as bad as I thought, lol. After the first night, my ipod just stopped working out of nowhere (stupid piece of cr*p--I just paid $250 for it a little over a year ago!). I knew without my ipod I wouldn't be able to focus on working out. I need something to focus on when working out or I lose interest. So today I went and spent another $250 on an ipod just to make sure I would keep working out and not have any excuses! This time I got an ipod touch too, which was awesome because now I can totally cheat and watch movies while working out!

I'm officially dropping out this month. MIL had to go to hospital early for arterial thrombosis, then she had her big surgery this last Wednesday, (complete hysterectomy, gall bladder removed, hernia repair, & several other tumors removed - liver not operated on because 1/2 is tumor), and I've been busting my butt helping with farm chores (6AM-8AM) & 7PM-9PM) and getting the farmhouse ready for her return (around caring for two kids, shuttling school & work, gluten-free baking, our household chores etc.) I'm really stressed and although I have been getting exercise, it's not what I wanted and I don't have time to track it. Well, I might have time to track it, but our schedules are thrown off so badly that my eldest son's teachers have said that now that they know what's going on, they'll be happy to let him have a nap time at school (first grade). I know I don't have to justify myself, but I was so pleased with my progress last month, and I'm disappointed that I can't do it this month. I miss it.
Cheers to everyone working on their goals for this month!

BluefruitMama~ oh hun, so sorry to hear that things are so crazy for you right now! Even though you aren't in the challenge anymore, I hope you know that you can still pop in and vent or cry on our shoulders if you need to! Sounds like you've really got a lot going on! Don't forget to take care of yourself in all the chaos!
BigFruitMama - Just wanted to pass on my warm thoughts too, that definitely sounds like a time in life to only do what you really need to and focus on taking care of yourself and your family. Come back as soon or whenever you can to let us know how things are going. Take care of yourself and talk to you soon.

Hi everybody. :) I just spent the last week in Belgium with a friend so I haven't posted in a while. I was really worried that I'd go on this trip and fall behind on my commitment to myself to get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day. Boy was I wrong about that! We walked everywhere! I was so glad I brought my sketcher Shape Ups too! I was able to rack up tons of minutes towards my monthly goal! I'm really happy about that.
So, now I'm reporting in the time for last week.
9/1: 45 minutes - Walked 45 minutes in ShapeUps
9/2: 0 minutes - Had an off day
9/3: 60 minutes - Walked 60 minutes
9/4: 30 minutes - Swimming/water work out 30 minutes
9/5: 78 minutes - Biked 30 minutes, Walked in ShapeUps 48 minutes
Total: 213 minutes for the week
9/6: 32 minutes - Biked for 32 minutes
9/7: 95 minutes - Walked 95 minutes (non-aerobic walking, but still, walking)
9/8: 29 minutes - Biked 29 minutes
9/9: 70 minutes - Walked 70 minutes with heavy bags and a baby (went to Belgium)
9/10: 129 minutes - Walked 129 minutes in Shape Ups, tightening abs at the same time.
9/11: 155 minutes - Walked 155 minutes in normal shoes, tightening abs.
9/12: 73 minutes - Walked 73 minutes in Shape Ups, tightening abs.
Total: 583 minutes for the week - 796 minutes for the month.
