Hi girlsssssssssssss :) Here we are, our September thread!!! Hard to believe in a way as the time seems to have passed quickly. We got through the summer (ty ladies ) and many of you did amazing all the way through. Congratulationssssssssss to all on your successes...whether it be in weight and/or inches lost, making healthier food choices, being more active, leading a healthier lifestyle, and for just hanging in there and keeping at it. :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::c arrot:
You have all been such an inspiration and so supportive and encouraging. I look forward to a new month with you all and hope we have some newcomers as well :). September is a great time to buckle down! Let's keep at it ladies.......I'm excited for our new month!
You know the drill girls! Just state your goal, whether it be a loss in pounds, inches, size, or even an intangible feeling! THe sky is the limit! You need not state your weight if you feel uncomfortable......just your goal, even if that goal is to maintain or whatever the case may be. THough the thread is titled "weight loss" please bear in mind that the underlying overall goal is toward a healthier us and so your goal may not be revolved around weight loss, it may be maintenance or eating healthier...and/or kicking a soda habit or whatever the case may be.
Note: We keep a members list with our goals and if/when those goals are met, we put red print and goal met next to our goals. You can take a peek at the end of last months thread to see what it looks like. Please don't feel bad if/when you may not reach a specific number, goal, etc. Always remember that making positive changes along the way (the journey) are wonderful accomplishments in and of themselves :).
We will be putting up our sister thread, "September Exercise Challenge" shortly and eveyone who is interested is welcome to join in :). Exercise goals will be listed in that thread (other goals here) for those of you who will be joining there.
Monthly weight loss challenge FAQ's
Do we weigh in on a certain day and how frequently? We don't have a specific WI day and WI on the day we choose. Many of the girls WI on the first day of the month and that ends up being the WI day for the month while others get WI at WW (weight watchers) on specific days, etc. How frequently we weigh in is a personal matter and specific to each of our own indivual needs. Daily WI's for some of the girls work great for them, while others prefer to WI weekly, bi-weekly, etc.
Do we need to post personals? etc... Absolutely not ladies. Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't . We are a large group and it is difficult to post personals sometimes. THe time just does not exist sometimes. If you don't have time for personals it's okay.....post away :)
What does OP mean, DH, etc. ? We often use abbreviations here. OP means on plan. DH means dear husband, DD means dear daughter, DS = dear son, WI means weigh In, TOM means that time of month, lol means laughter out loud, and kwim means know what I mean.
Is everyone on a specific plan? We all have various plans. SOme of us are on WW, south beach, are own plans, etc. Though we do believe in and follow the guideline of not going below 1,200 cals a day and along these lines also strive to follow the site guidelines .
See you all soon chickies :) hugsssssss

September Goals:
*No more than 2 sodas per week
*Survive birthday week with a loss (however small it may be)!
*250 lbs by Sept 30
September is probably my 2nd most challenging month of the year (December being most). Two of my best friends and myself have birthdays 9 days apart from each other (the 11th, 20th, and 29th). There's lots of cake and LOTS of alcohol. But we've talked about doing 1 party instead of 3 this year (Thank God!) and I'm in search of a fun low cal dessert for my birthday cake with the family. I'm toying with the idea of not getting a cake at all, even low cal, because there are always left overs and I don't want to deal with that. What kind of birthday present is weight gain? I'm still trying to reach my goal of 245 for the halloween challenge so I think getting to 250 by the end of Sept will put me in a good place for that. Good luck ladies!

Well, my goal for August was 6 lbs and I seem to have surpassed that so.... I guess I'll try for another 8 though I think that may be really lofty, I guess that's why this is a CHALLENGE, eh? Though, in all honesty, 6 lbs in a month was way more than I'd lost before and looky at what I did! So... put me down for 8 lbs, now I won't know until I officially weigh in but I think that would put me at 207.... HOLY MOLEY!

SANDYE ! "DRINK YOUR WATER"
August was a bust for me. :madI may end it down a whopping 1 lb. I stayed OP, and missed maybe four days of exercise all month. It was a busy month, what with school and soccer starting. A lot of chaufering kids around after work ( I'm too old for this!). I had an inpromptu family reunion to deal with too. And to top it off, I think I may have broken my pinky finger yesterday.::tantrum: I don't know how I'm going to do my ST without being able to grasp a dumbell. It's hard just to type! *^%#*& I don't need this right now. Anyway, my goal is the same as July (which I made) and August (which I blew), to lose 7-10 lbs. Good luck to all of you awesome chicks!:dust:

Hello ladies!
First of all I would like to thank each and everyone for all the words of encouragement I am truely blessed to in the mist of such worderful ladies. I know that I can not do this journey without all you helping me along the way. I am doing my best to post on here daily from now on. I feel so much better when I am checking in.
Now as for me today I am feeling a little better not so stressed, I can't believe it my birthday is just around the corner and I never thought I would be depressed over it but I seem to feel down and not looking forward to it LOL
I am getting back on the wagon again!!!! Drinking my water and I am starting the HIIT program again today... I have a question for all you ladies that have been doing this for a longer time than I. I am wanting to get a good schedule routine down with my workouts. Should I do just my morning workouts or would it be good to do another later in the day?
Hope you all are having a wonderul day!... I am making lean beef/chicken meatloaf tonight with some steamed veggies... Thanks again for everything you ladies are the greatest.....

Oh and the past couple weeks, I have been using my boyfriend's scale because mine always weighed me 2 lbs higher than every other scale I was weighing (so I know its not just me). I had been adding 2 lbs to my weight to accomodate the new scale for the month of August, but for the new month I am adjusting my weight according to the new scale. Yay for the 2lb automatic loss, even if its not real. hehe.

Hey Ladies,
So today I got my starting weight for September; 217. Which has me very excited due to the fact on Friday they said I was 219. Finally this cold (for the most part) is gone and I see the 7 pound lost I had in August. :)
I can't wait to begin September with a fresh start tomorrow. And I have to schedule what I'm eating tomorrow. Isn't it funny how when you're trying to lose weight most people plan their meals just like you 'suppose' to plan what you wear for the next day?
<3 Goodnight Ladies.

:welcome: to all the new gal's and good to see so many returning faces as well.
For me, TOM is still doing crazy things for me. But had a groovy day yesterday and it was a calorie scorcher. I'm freakin' sore after my ST yesterday. Had to up the intensity again...Maya was slackin' on me. ;) At any rate, you ladies get ready for another great month and lets start it off right shall we?

ALLLLLRIIIGHT! No more procrastination! I guess since it is September, I better put something in writing! My goal for September is to keep PLANNING my meals ahead and lose 5 pounds. Current is (209#) I know it is not much, but I have 3 weekends off in Sept, and am upping my strength training routine and that will make it a challenge.
Good luck everyone! I am off to post in exercise land!!!!

Hello everyone!!! Great to see a new thread. Last month I only lost 5lbs. Im sure due to fact of lack of excerise coz my back (grrrr). But this is a new month. The pain is less therefore I will try light excerise plus I am in physical therapy.
So here goes September goals! Which I am going to meet! Septembers weight goal= 167lbs. (45lb loss for me- yipee). This number does make me happy. I am going to do light excerise 3x a week. 30 minutes cardio, 20 situps (unsure on this one but will try). Also 80fl oz water everyday. :carrot:

I'm in (again). My goals this month are to stick with this thread all month - I've joined several times and didn't really stick with the thread and all wonderful motivation here! I also plan to plan my eating more carefully. Teaching at the University is back in full swing now so I need to plan my lunches and snacks so I avoid the cafeteria!
My weight goal is to lose ten pounds this month. I'm up a couple pounds from my Sunday morning weigh-in so that salt weight should go soon (I'm almost done my first 25 oz bottle of water this morning).
Overall goal - lose 10 pounds or get below 225 (starting weight is 233)

3 eat healthy (just went grocery shopping yesterday) no junk food
4 no fast food or take out
5 to lose anywhere between 5 and 10lbs by Oct 1st

I've started the day out right...took my vitamin, ate a healthy breakfast, exercised and came on here for my daily dose of healthy inspiration! I'd say I've got things going pretty darn well. I've already done some cleaning around the house. 2 of my sweet kids have their first day of school today! I already miss them, BUT it's amazing how much easier it is to clean with just 1 child at home!!! LOL My youngest can be a real worker, too. So, we should get a lot done today. Next project...clean the toy closet! I also told my mil I'd clean the dining room floor. It's wood laminate and I've never had that in any of our houses, so I had to ask her how it needs to be cleaned. It shouldn't take real long. I gotta do it today since for some reason I feel motivated to clean! I've got some errands to run this afternoon before I pick up the kids, too, so I gotta head out and get to work. I'll be back on later if things go smoothly. If not, send a search party....I may have been attacked and held captive by the dust bunnies!

The thread started early, so as usual I didn't find it till today. I had been posing on the Aug thread. Oh well.
Looks as though everyone has some really good goals. Good luck.
Since I am really at maintenance, the only goals I have are:
Stay within 4 lbs of 125 (don't want to see 130 again)
Make healthy meals for myself and my son...he needs it and would live on pizza and chicken fingers if he could)
Continue working out 6 days a week

I love coming in and reading up on everyones news. The day has started off great...lots of laundry and rockin' out already. I've decided to just get up extremely early on M,W,F...that way, like Sandye, I can get my ST and Cardio in before the wee ones get up. I figure I can get ST done before the older two get up and then after they get on the bus, I can get my hour of Cardio in as well. Then that leaves the rest of the day for me to do with as I please. Well I'm off, guess I'll go strip some beds and wash some sheets and all that good jazz. Hope you ladies are having a wonderful pleasing day thus far.

Happy first of the month everyone! I love the first day of the month because I still have the entire month to focus on my goals. Work is going kinda slow, but what else is new. I just finished a yummy breakfast of granola, berries and NF yogurt so that should keep me pretty full until lunch. So my SW for this month is 249, 9 more lbs to meet my goal at the end of this month!

Good Morning September!
Oh how I love a fresh beginning :)
Pucedaisy - Congrats again on hitting that goal, and that five pounds doesn't stand a chance!
Sotypical - Welcome back, and chattiness is not required just glad you're at it again.
SG - I think I might join you guys on your 5k adventures, I've been checking out some in Edmonton and there's lots to be had this time of year, who knew? Just have to get dh's work schedule and see which one we can manage.
FSA - Once again, thanks for putting up with all our craziness, you don't ever go on holidays right? lol
MissMallee - Congrats on goal and finally being rid of that cold, almost anyway and it's true, choose to plan or plan to fail is how I see it. Won't have it anyother way.
CLaura - Welcome aboard and look forward to getting to know you.
Misschloe - Welcome, this is a fantastic place to find motivation, support and the occasional kick in the arse if you need that too.
Synesthetes - Welcome to the challenge and you're almost at goal wow, fantastic!
Delphi - woohoo on the monster deficit yesterday love, that's awesome, I would imagine that 179 is gonna come visit soon, it really has no choice, you amaze me daily my dear. I like that wake up strategy too, I find that at least it gives me the other four days of reasonable wake up times and I don't get burnt out or discouraged too. Enjoy rocking the free world!
Sandye - OK so now I have to write Sandye b/c if I type Cmo4 no one is gonna know who I'm talking too, lol, but I love that screen name, it's just exactly, perfectly, true. Enjoy the park and congrats on that 142.6, what a nice way to start the month!
Susie - Good to see you and glad you're out there already, great way to start the month too.
LE - So glad you're back, I missed your smiling face and those sound like marvelous goals, wtg.
LTTG - Or that could just be your starting weight and you'll get a .2 bonus when the water comes off? I know, the eternal optimist but why not, you've lost 10lbs and that's awesome!
Wifey - Welcome back! Loving the pop goal, I found that one to be one of the best things I've ever done for my weight loss (and my health no doubt), hands down.
HeatherEljohari - Welcome back as well, glad to see you're still mending up nicely and can get back to something physical. Good luck!
Econ Nerd - Nice to have you back, again, lol. It is hard to stick with it for sure but with the determination anything can be done and I betca this time is the charm.
Butterfly Diva - Welcome, that's some awesome goals, glad to have you aboard!
MsP - Congrats on the 5K btw, saw that awesome time, you're a speed demon, WTG! At least you'll have some nice peace and quiet to clean in , it's nice when you clean a room that it says that way for at least a little while.
Jacque - Look at you all maintaining and stuff, lol, great job btw!
Bootsie - Welcome back!
Kim - Welcome and I'm with you, aim high, we only get what we expect and nothing more so why not?
Dcapulet - enjoy the first day.
Shasha - that's the exact breakfast I had, lol, great minds I guess :)
Started the month off right with a biggie of a loss, 1.2lbs so I'm hanging out at 174 now. That's 4.6lbs in 5 days :o Not sure what's going on, maybe still some shock from my vacation schedule to my regular workout/eating routine, and the fat's scared and running away? Not sure but please remind me when this stabilizes and I don't loss anything for a week that's it's just my body adjusting. Great way to start the month though.
Gotta pick dh up from work soon, then some HIIT, gonna start my last week today, thanks goodness, I think HIIT, P90X everyday and running 3x a week might be stretching it a bit so at least I only have to manage a week that way. Then some plyometrics in the afternoon and family time tonight. We had a murder here the other day (first in ten years supposedly) and dh has been very busy and at work constantly (ie today is his day off but he had to go in anyway) and he finally gets tonight off so it will be nice to hang out together, then tomorrow, his other day off, will be at the autopsy so that doesn't really lend itself to family togetherness either. Gotta take it while we can get it, so I'll talk to you ladies later.

Tummy ~ That's awesome. :bravo: I don't know what you're doing, but it's working..keep it up. Sucks about the murder though, but at least you know the best of the best are working on it. Godspeed to hubby and your family! As for me, I guess I'm just coming off of TOM, so perhaps I'll see some positive numbers shortly. I need to really push myself the next two months, because when November gets here, I won't be doing a whole lot of anything other than shootin' terroists. ;) Modern Warfare 2 comes out November 10th...so that will keep me very busy in the brackets. So, I'm gonna try to push hard until then at least, because my weight loss will more than likely be very slow come November/December!

Greetings!
So, this month finds me up half a pound mysteriously... ok... maybe not so mysteriously but I did have fun so I don't really care... it just makes me nervous about my goal. Anyhooo... work is busy, busier than I've been in a looong time. Why is it that anything good for the students always equals hours of work for me? I sit here eating my lunch and looking at my desk which looks like a bomb went off and thinking "man, if only I had a personal assistant."
cmo4 - I'm still calling you cmo4, you just have to deal with it. Congrats on your loss! You just seem to be shrinking like crazy these days. I sent the registration information for the 5k to my sister who will be running it with me so wooo hoo! Also, I hear ya on the early morning run... it gets creeeeepy sometimes but at least it gets my mind off the time. Speaking of time, are you listening to Ullery's podcast's? That 20 minutes scared the crap out of me today!
Ms P - Good luck with that laminate, I hated cleaning mine until I got one of those steam mops... now it's a breeze! I had to mop and then dry my floor, what a pain!
jacque - I love your new picture! So cute!
Tummy - Woah, that's an amazing loss! Go you!
Miss Mallee - I didn't realize we had such similar stats until you posted your goal. How fun!
Ok ok, I'm back to work. I have 20 good minutes of lunch left and I plan to use them!

HI GIRLSSSSS!!!!
So, I'm back. I know, I know. I took off for the whole summer and you all assumed that I had been run over by a bus-or a big :jeno: or an even bigger :cookie: - but no. Summer has just been crazy busy and I have had no time to myself at all for posting or reading or doing anything. I didn't want to abandon you but one day led to the next......
I am looking forward to meeting new people and catching up with all of my old friends here on the thread. I browsed over in August and it looks like you gals had a fantastic month! :yay: :cheer3: :yay: I hope that our September is even more successful!!!
My September goal is to lose 5 pounds. I am not updating my ticker today as it is the first day of TOM and I don't really want to consider what all of my back sliding over the summer has brought to the scale. We are going away this weekend and I'll update on Tuesday no matter how bad it is. (And I suspect that it will be bad.:yikes:)
So happy to be back with you guys! :grouphug:

Good afternoon ladies!
Susie, Lewis, Mom, Wifey(long time no see hun!), Heather, Karen, ButterflyDiva, Jacque, Bootsie, KimL, dcapulet, Shasha, urockmom (welcome back girlie!)~ Hello and giant high fives to everyone! It's a brand new month and you're going to do great!!! :carrot:
Delphi~ ah yes, Delphi o'clock is the only time I can work in my workouts and not get interrupted 100 times! I don't like it, but it's better than the alternative! Plus, I can usually squeeze in my shower before hubby leaves and getting that in before noon is always a bonus!
MsP~ WTG once again on that 5K girlie! Hope you're having fun cleaning! I really should be doing the same!
Tummy~ Thanks hun! Congrats on the great loss this morning! Woo hoo! I don't know what you're doing, but keep it up girlie! It's workin'!!! :broc:
SG~ Woo hoo! I'm excited about our first 5K! When is yours? Mine is on Oct. 3rd, so I'm not even sure if I'm going to be finished with C25K by then! Ya know, I'm not sure if it was because my adrenaline was cranked up looking for the boogey man or what, but when I was running, and I kept thinking "it can't be 5 mins yet!" and when he said it was the halfway mark for Day 3--I was floored because I thought, "no way! I bet I could have done that!". Like I said, it was probably just because I was all creeped out and not really thinking about running and stuff. Heck, if that's the case, I'm never running during daylight hours again! :lol3:
Well girls, the park was nice. :) We hit Walmart on the way home and I got a butternut squash--yes, add that to the list of veggies never eaten! So hopefully I can find a nice low cal recipe for it and cook it up in the next couple of days! Anyone know any butternut squash recipes :D
Other than that, not much going on. Drinking my water and just finished my lunch, pretty boring now that we're home.
Hope everyone is having a great day!!! I'll catch ya later on!

Ok...I am officially joining in for September even if I know it's going to be a crazy month.
I am still trying to get used to this calorie counting thing which is not going very well since I keep forgetting to write what I eat.
I am going to go easy on myself for the month and my only goal (for now) will be to journal my food intake for every meal.
I have missed you all!

While I'm waiting to digest my lunch I thought I'd see how everyone was doing, can't do plyometrics on a full stomach, that's asking for it.
Delphi - Have you seen those night vision goggles in the special edition? I thought that was too awesome, and creepy all at the same time. That's sweet, but they brought in the big guns from Edmonton to head the investigation, lol, my dh is just happy to be a part of it, he gets all jacked up about stuff like this.
SG - Enjoy your last little bit of piece and quiet.
Urockmom - I think you may have just left around when I started but howdy!
Sandye - I must bottle it and sell it if I can figure out what it is, make me millions and retire.
Dandk - Sounds like a plan, and we'll cheer you on through all the hard work.
NSM - Glad you're back hun and that sounds like a marvelous goal, you do end up just naturally eating less that way anyway. Have you tried doing it the opposite way and planning what to eat the day before or the morning of and then doing it that way? I'm horrible at remembering afterwards too but if I plan it the day ahead I don't have the same issue, just a thought  And missed you too!
Alrighty, my workout is calling, my dd is napping and it's mommy time! Hope everyone is doing their best on Day 1.

Hi Chickies!!!
Just getting a chance to post. Been a very busy day, we ended up starting school today instead of yesterday, I had too much prep left to do yesterday to start (for those that don't know we homeschool). I plum forgot to milk the goat I was so busy so I gotta go do that. Then hopefully I'm going to get on the treadmill.
Good news is that I started out the month with a .8 loss, I just hope it sticks. I finally got to add another 5lb loss smilie to my siggy!
Like your new username Sandye!
Hope you are all having a great day!

Today was our office manager's bday so his assistant made him 2 cakes and brought lots of cookies. We all went out to sing happy bday. Everyone is out there eating right now, and I just came back as they were starting to hand out cake. Its so hard because cake is one of my favorites. I believe it has its own section in my "fatty food pyramid". Oh well, atleast I won't be beating myself up later.

Hi Guys
My SW is 160 lbs, my goal for the month is to lose 6 lbs.
I think this is quite enough considering I have a holiday in the middle of the month and a wedding to attend, wine always lets me down - so factoring in that i may just maintain that week.
But i am determined.
Good luck everyone!

Thank you...I hope I can keep it up....Sometimes I feel that it is easier to behave in the summer (less clothes) so I have been worried that I will go back to my old ways and start hibernating...and you know what that means.

I would love to join this challenge!
My goal is to lose 8 pounds by September 30th! *Crosses fingers* I have 2 birthdays this month, my daughters and my own so I'm going to have to be extra strong to resist birthday treats but I think 8 pounds GONE would beat any food birthday treat!
Tomorrow is my weigh day so I'll get a number goal and add it in tomorrow.
Thanks for this challenge, I just love these and was sad I didn't spot Augusts until it was almost over.
::Edit:: So my official goal is 8 pounds, 171.5lbs by September 30th.

Wow....miss a few days and the Sept goal thread is already on page 7!
Well, finally got internet set up at the new house (I have been going through withdrawals form 3FC, lol) so I should be able to be on here a bit more.
My goals for Sept--to get into the 250s and to fit into those smallest of small size 20 pants I have in storage and be able to wear them in public.
Well, kindof in a down mood....Besides it being TOM, I am feeling all weird and stressed with moving again, and trying to get everything arranged with my new jobs and the custody paperwork, etc. Putting DD in child care for the first time ever is also making me sad. I think the separation is really starting to hit me as now I am starting to miss the ex. Fun times, eh?
I cheated for the first time in over month....I was good at first. Moving day and no new food in the house and roommate went to go get Little Ceasars, so I decided I had been planning a cheat day forever and hadn't had one, so I ordered their smallest meal (1 slice of pizza with 4 breadsticks), which I shared with DD. Not so bad for a cheat day, right? It even would have fit in my calories for the day. Then I ate a whole bunch of chocolate toffees. Like a whole freakin small box of chocolates. Talk about jumping off the wagon. I felt like crap afterwards too and had a sugar headache. The next day I did much better, although I did allow myself to have some carrot cake and pasta salad at a potluck. I think the carrot cake pushed me over calorie wise, but not much. Oh well, back on schedule now. I guess we'll see if a cheat day will encourage more weight loss or if it will come back to bite me in the ars, lol.

I am totally joining and starting tomorrow.
My goal for Sept 30th would be 161 lbs. That's about a 9 lb loss from where I am at right now!
I also want to start excersizing. I just moved so I have tons of unpacking to do but I also want to start getting in walks now that I am back in a nice neighborhood with sidewalks and what not...should take advantage!
Here is to tomorrow....!

Hey ladies....SO much work got done here today. I had no time to post. Things are moving quickly in the sale of our house. We have to go over this weekend with a u-haul and move everything else out and into a storage unit near our land (where we're planning to build...someday!) So, I had to contact all sorts of people today to get things lined up.....lots of busy-ness plus I cleaned the house more thoroughly than I have since we moved in here. I plan to do more of that sort of cleaning Thursday. Tomorrow we're going to help my mom out before she has surgery. She wants to get her house all cleaned up, flower beds weeded, and all that kinda stuff before her surgery b/c she's supposed to keep her shoulder immobile after surgery for weeks. Anyway, super good to see urockmom and newshinyme joining in on the fall fun! Hope everyone has a great OP night!

Gooooooooooood Morning Beautiful People....
LE ~ Have I mentioned it's grrrrrrreat to have you back? ;)
pucedaisy ~ I know exactly what you mean. And thanks so much for the kind words.
MsP ~ Well mom has my prayers and I hope the surgery goes well. Good luck with all that cleaning...you are one busy woman these days. You've got to be burning some major calories though. ;)
hotsplashes ~ and I hope you feel better soon.
mizmizzy ~ :welcome: aboard!
jessica ~ Yeah, a cheat day every now and again is fine in my book, so long as that day doesn't turn into another and another. Glad to see you back for September as well.
Meow Mix ~ :welcome:
Joci ~ You give me hope though. I'm watching you maintain and loving it. I can't wait to be where you are and setting maintenance goals.
As for me, I'm down a few pounds..finally. I think TOM is now offically gone. My hands are bit swollen this morning, but other than that, I'm golden. I have to get running as the morning will be busy, with two workouts, a shower, some wally world and the whole drag the boys out of bed and send them off to hogwarts....erm...to school. ;)
So you ladies have a great day and don't forget to smile. :) :) :)

So many of the ladies (and men) at 3FC have inspired me so I am happy to inspire others. I have had a long, hard journey as others have, so we all need to continue to set goals and reach them.
Glad TOM is on his way out for you....he is lurking, although I always feel him right around the corner. :)
Everybody....have a great, successful day!!!

Hi ladies!
It took me all summer but I finally managed to get my weight back into the 170's. I currently sit at 171 and hope to be at 165 by the end of the month! It took a major life change, broke up with someone who was wayyy to inactive for me, and since then it has been all great!
I'm excited to be back at this and can't wait to see how the month goes. It will be amazzinnng of course! :)

Jessicado, thank you for sharing in your post. I thought I was weird, I have like hang overs if I binge the next day, like an alcoholic does. So the fact that I do, helps me from binging or eating the wrong foods because I know the next day I will pay for it.
I had cramps in my legs all last night up and down constantly I asked the exercise group now I am asking y'all too. Do you know anything that helps prevent them or when you get them to would help to get them out besides standing there waiting for some relief and could not of done that if it had not been for a wall next to my bed.
Followed my menu yesterday but still have to write my menu out for today.

Good mornin' girls! It's been another good start today. I took my vitamin, ate a good breakfast, and I'm down some (1-2 pounds) from the weekend according to my mil's scale. I won't post weight or change my ticker 'til I see eveidence on MY scale, but it's encouraging anyway. I was holding there for a week or so with little to no movement. As we all know by now, you just keep plugging away and it'll show eventually. I forgot to mention, I also lost 5.25 inches last month! I did my measurements and looked back to compare. It's the most inches I've lost in a month since March! I guess the ST'ing must be helping, huh?....plus just the consistancy and increased intensity of my exercise.
Delphi~Thanks, hon. My mom is a tough old bird and she'll be fine, I'm sure. I just want to help as much as I can since she's ALWAYS there for me. :) The calorie burn is great these days...even when it's not formal exercise. I don't have the arm band monitor (though it's on my wish list)...but I KNOW I've been scorching those cals!
Butterfly~Those foods sound good! It sounds like a lot of the same stuff I like to eat. Great job on no junk food!
Welcome all the newbies! This is an addictive thread! Such a bunch of supportive, wonderful people on here!

Goooooooooooood Morning Girlies!!!!! :carrot:
I hope everyone's First Day was fantabulous!!! Are you ready for another great day? :D
FSA~ Thanks again for starting up the thread this month and for keeping track of everyone's info!!! You're the BEST!!!
NSM~ WB hun!!! Glad you're going to be with us again this month! Journaling can be tough at first, but once you start it up and keep it up for a bit, it just becomes second nature--well, that's how it's been for me. :) I keep a spiral notebook in the kitchen at all times so whenever I eat something it's right there staring me in face. I even have a special pen I write with! Goofy, I know, but it works!
Tummy~ Bottle it, box it up, smack a shipping label and send it my way girlie! I'd buy it! :D Thanks for the P90X info once again hun! I'm still on the fence...don't quite know why...I guess I just need to hear some crazy exciting reviews from someone ya know? I'm pretty sure I'll end up getting it though...maybe...
Ruth~ hope your first day of school went well and that the goat wasn't too uncomfortable! ;) Congrats on the loss hun! Great way to start off the month huh? :)
shasha~ Oh I completely agree about the cake! I also believe that there's a special section of the stomach reserved just for cake! Ya know, because there should always be room for cake! Thankfully no Birthdays this month so there shouldn't be any reason for my fil to tempt me with his delicious cakes! :)
Delphi~ Woo hoo! A pizza dude huh? Ya know, you were right to keep on walking because if you ended up dating a guy who smelled like garlicy cheesy goodness, goodness knows what could have happened! Congrats on the loss and for getting rid of TOM!!! I think he's finally headed out of town for me too. And woo hoo on the panties girlie--The 170's!!!!!:carrot::celebrate::carrot: That's awesome hun!!!!!
Jacque~ you ARE an inspiration! I'm so glad you've stuck around even though you made your goal already--it's wonderful to see you maintaining and it totally motivates me to keep going!! :)
Jessica~ glad to hear you're all settled in with the move and such. Sorry to hear about the emotional stuff going on, but with all that you're going through, it's only natural for you to be missing your ex and feeling down and everything else. You're doing great and don't beat yourself up over those chocolates hun! Sometimes you just have to do what you need to to get yourself through it. Delphi's right, so long as one day doesn't turn into another and another--you're good. Sounds like you're back in the saddle and ready to ride!! :)
Hotsplashes~ sorry to hear you're sick hun! Glad you're joining us again this month! Take care and get better soon!
MsP~ Oh you're making me feel like such a slacker!!! I was absolutely lazy yesterday! Glad to hear things are progressing with the house sale! Don't work yourself too crazy or anything hun! And thanks for motivating me! I think it's high time I tackle the coat rack and the coat closet--they're scary! WTG on the vitamin this morning! I was going to ask you about it! :) And bravo on the inches lost last month! Woo hoo! Hey, when do you get your scale back anyway?
Lewis~ thanks hun! Hope you got a great night sleep last night!! Catch ya later girlie!
Mom~ Hey!! Glad to see you're posting in the mornings!! :) Congrats on the loss! Ya know, I have a feeling that this month is going to be a good month for you! How goes the wine-free evenings?
Butterfly~ Woo hoo! You did a great job yesterday!!! Keep up the great work hun!
Bootsie~ I replied over on the exercise thread about the cramping issue :)
Dandk~ I recognize your screen name from a prior challenge I believe so Welcome back!!!! :)
HealthyBunny, MeowMix (I instantly started singing that song when I read your screen name btw!), Mizmizzy, Aprilcp ~ :welcome: This is a great bunch of girls! Just jump right in and make yourself comfy!!! :)
So, I was pretty darn lazy yesterday and after reading MsP's post about how productive she was--I'm determined to get something done today! I've just been so unmotivated! Sheesh!
Got to bed late last night, hubby and I had a big ol' long talk about some stuff (nothing too earth shattering) and ended up going to be after 11:00! *yawn* it amazes me that I used to stay up until 1:00am!!! So, as a result I ended up getting out of bed almost an hour late, but I did manage to get all but my ab workout in (I'll be doing that here in a few).
The scale was nice to me today and I'm no down a full pound from yesterday! Yay!
Well ladies, I guess I should get going--my goal is to clean the hallway where all the coats/sweatshirts/hats are hung up and then clean out the coat closet. Ugh...it's crazy in there! If you don't see me later, it's pretty safe to assume that I was buried alive by the avalanche of board games, goats and Winter gear that's stuffed in there! ;)
Okay girls, get out there and have a fantastic day! And of course, be sure to...
Drink Your Water!!!

Good morning ladies!!!!
I have my workout out of the way, I had kinda lost my workout MOJO, and really had to tell myself, "you don't have to want to do it, you don't even have to like to do it, but you ARE going to do it! LOL, anybody else have that conversation with themselves? It will probably happen again tomorrow...... and the next day, until I really get back in the groove. I am counting on all the GROOOVY chicks here to help me stay focused, and accountable.
Idream- I can only imagine how bad your hallway closet is if you actually keep "goats" in there! Thanks for the laugh this morning! I needed that! Keep on smiling!
Bessie:welcome3: don't miss out on our exercise thread too! most of us post in both places. You are gonna love this bunch of health nuts!!!!
Ms Perception= I don't blame you, I wouldn't have ridden in the dark either! OMG, 5+inches! Way to make it happen! :carrot: THat is soooo awesome! I hope upping my ST will help me lose the inches too! Hey you should post some new pics, so we can see how little you really are now! (like your son says).
Bootsie- it is time to grab a banana, and a big glass of water! (i also replied to your question in the exercise thread! hope you are feeling better by now!;)
LTTG-congrats on the loss! Keep it up! YOu are doing great!
Jaqui9999- unfortunately, you will probably be waiting a long time to hear "you're right" from any man esp. an ex! But way to rock it with your workouts! Keep it up! I second Delphi, I am so glad you stuck around after you met goal!
Butterflydiva- sounds yummy! my belly is growling at me just reading it! I'll bet you feel so much better when you eat that way. I know I do!
Delphi- Hope you are having a Super Awesome fabulistic day! Opps, I guess you must be because you hit the 170's!!!!!
:woohoo: wooooooo hooooo on the panties girl!:woohoo:
Pucedaisey- You crack me up! I hadn't even thought about until you re-wrote it! "sucks about the murder though!" But then again, that's our Delphi! ;)
FSA- just wanted to say hi, hope all is well up North, and just read your email from wayback when. Thanks for checking up on me! You're a doll!!!!
Gotta run girls, I am starving!!!! it is salad time!

So I realized what my problem was in August. While I did lose about 6 lbs, I know I could have done better. There was just a lot of eating out or guests over at our place. We did a little pantry makeover Saturday and Sunday. There is nothing really tempting left in my apartment now other than some nutella. I have a freezer full or chicken breasts and salmon, tons of fruits and veggies in the fridge and I replaced my instant white rice with a big bag of brown rice. Since Monday, I am down 3lbs and I have yet to feel hungry or in the mood for bad snacks. I went kickboxing last night and I really worked hard, I would say more than usual. Its funny, I just felt like things kinda fell into place all of a sudden. I hope I can ride out this high for a long time because the ups and downs can really get annoying. I hope that by next Friday, I can reach 245 and then I will only have 5 more lbs to reach my goal for the month.
Well work is super busy today so I don't have time for personals. I will get to them in a little while. But really quick, congrats to everyone that has been losing lately. You are such a motivation for me.

Good Morning Ladies.
So, I'm only going to update right now, seeing how little time I have considering I have to get ready and run soon. I will try to do personals tonight. :) The last 2 days haven't been the greatest, but that's completely my fault.
Monday I ran out the house without eating anything and didn't return until almost 1 (I was out the door at 8.) So, I came home and grabbed a coke (I stay away from caffeine.) At the end of the day, not only had I been off my plan, but I had 3 cokes! 3! And I don't drink caffeine. Needless to say my immediate withdrawl yesterday was horrible. Not to mention Monday I had an allergic reaction to the flippin' bandaids they put on me after I had two shots from the doc's office. I'm allergic to latex. And then to top off yesterday's horrible withdrawl (headaches) I slipped on my stairs and fell down a few of them and have a nice deep, blue and black bruise next to my right elbow.
On a positive note; I can laugh at myself now that I feel better. XD It was my fault I felt horrible yesterday and only mine. I did manage to get in my exercise yesturday, even if my food intake was horrible. And today, I'm starting things off on the right foot and I'm even going ice skating with one of my best friends (hopefully he'll catch me before I fall and land on my horrible bruise. lol. ) And I still plan on going for a walk and staying OP. But now I gotta run, take my vitamins and go get ready. :)

Hi Girls!
Yesterday was on plan and got plenty of exercise in and even extra water. Today is going excellent so far but I do have to get some more exercise in, only have a 17min walk/jog in so far (outside with kids for their PE for the day).
Tried a new Healthy Choice for lunch today, it was the turkey medallions in gravy, potatoes, and butternut squash with cranberries and apples. I really liked the squash with the cranberries, I am going to have to find a recipe for that because I like butternut squash but don't have any creative ways to use it other than baking it with a little butter and brown sugar.
I hope this post works because I keep trying to get on the last page of this thread and for some reason it won't load, grrr!

September Weight Loss Challenge Team Members and Goals List
Please let me know if I miss anyone or something is incorrect, thanks :)
econ nerd: lose 10 pounds or get below 225 (starting weight is 233)
Apparently I was having a bad math day when I posted my goals... That should read 223 (who'da thunk 233 minus ten could be that complicated to figure out...)
I'm staying on plan and I have 75 ounces of water in already today (and still time to drink some more after work). I got hubby to drop me off at work this morning so that I would have to walk home (about 1.5 miles).

Helloooooo!
Taking a break from all the packing and de-cluttering to show my face in here :D
:welcome: to all the newbies! I'm sort of an oldie that sort of fell of the wagon last month. Can't wait to meet you all.
Tummy: Thanks so much for the suggestion, it makes sense. I think I will give planning ahead a try next week for a week and see how that goes.
Delphi and Tummy: OMG with your CoD chat. I am a CoD widow on Friday nights and I am not so looking forward to the new one. DH thought it was awesome when I mentioned there was chat of the new game in here LOL
Delphi: Congrats on the new decade! I am so happy for you!
urock: It's so good to see you back in here
Sandye: Love the new screen name, still getting confused about it though. Only when I see your picture in there I know it's you. I shall adopt your notebook and "special"pen idea as well, I tried that with a regular old pad and then I misplaced it after the first meal and that was the end of that LOL.
shasha: WTG on hiding away from the cake. It is one of my weaknesses too so I can totally relate.
FSA: Thanks!
Jessicado:  girl. It is a stressful thing you are going through right now, but you'll make it through to the other side.
Ms. P.: Glad to be back as well. It was like there was something missing in my life for most of August ;). Good luck with the house sale. When is it going on the market? Best of luck for your mom on her surgery too.
LE: I guess September is the month for comebacks, huh? Glad to see you! Oh, I have that workout conversation with myself almost everyday LOL! Haven't worked out in about a month though, so I guess I should start talking to myself really soon.
Bootsie: About the cramps, the first thing would be to make sure you are stretching well after your workout while your muscles are warm, second, if you are dehydrated, you might get cramps and last potassium levels, if you are low, you might get them, so having a banana might help.
MissMallee: Ouch! Some days just seem to go wrong all the way :(. Glad it's all behind you and that you're feeling better though.
Ruth: WTG on being OP! That Healthy choice meal does sound quite good. Once upon a time I posted a question about butternut squash here and I got some great ideas: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/food-talk-fabulous-finds/154242-butternut-squash.html
econ: LOL, I belong to the bad math days club too :D
Ok...back to the grind for me...catch you all later!

Wow, things are really moving fast around here!
NSM & iDeaam-I am on that de-cluttering wagon. I went to visit a friend over the summer and her house was just packed full of stuff. Made me totally crazy so since I have come home I have just been giving things away and tossing things out. Feels soooo good!
Thanks to all for the welcome back. I have missed you like crazy!

Hello Chickies!!!
I am still here, just buried under piles of work! It's great to see the September thread so active so early! yayy! As for me, I'm stressed out and struggling to stay OP, but making it so far. I'm staying within my calories and keeping up with the exercise but man, I tell ya... the things I'm craving right now are naaaaaughty!
jessicado - You sound stressed out and man, who could blame you!! Just try to take one day at a time... we're not running a race here so setbacks are no big deal!
april - congrats on getting back into the 170's! Good luck this month!
Ms P - How did your mother's surgery go?
idream - you wanna come clean my closets too? I did the bedroom one but I've got lots of others! And... I can't believe you're down another pound! It's falling off you like crazy! Way to go!
lewis - I have that conversation with myself every time I go to Curves or do any kind of strength training. I keep waiting for that moment when I begin to enjoy it... I'm not holding my breath!
Shasha - I'm loving your positive attitude! Way to go on the 3 lbs!
Miss Mallee - Ouch! Sounds like quite the couple of days you've had. I hope things get better!
econ - Don't sweat the math... I think we've all been there lol!
Delphi - Yay for TOM to have left the house!!! I'll be watching for your weight to drop like crazy now, I'm sure.

NSM ~ at being a COD widow on friday nights. Is it you playing or the hubby? Either way...what platform? The 360? If so, you guys should add me! ;) Have fun with the declutter.
Shrinking ~ Try not to stress too much darling...that cortisol is horrible for the weight loss. I hope things settle down for you soon.
LE ~ I had a freakin' awesome day...how about yourself? Love the new pictures on facebook. ;)
Ruth ~ You know, I've never tried those Healthy Choice meals...are they any good? I usually go with the Lean Cusine.
Miss Malle ~ Ice skating sounds great. Enjoy!
shasha ~ You can reach those girly. I know you can! ;)
Sandye ~ Unmotivated..eh? I guess it's time to clean the dust off the ol' :club: eh? Haha! So did you get that hallway clean?
Tummy ~ What the hay? No post today.:cry::cry:
Well it's been another productive day. Even renewed my DL...the DMV was such a drag, but excellent for people watching. ;) At any rate, hope you ladies have a great evening.

Evening Ladies,
Busy day here, just getting to posting now and I remember why I don't like to do that...
Ruth - hoping your smile siggy is gonna hang around, congrats on the big loss that's awesome! I like the squash in stuffed peppers, that's my favorite and not to mention short on the butter and sugar too.
Shasha - wtg on walking away, i must agree I have never, ever regretted turning food down. Congrats on the food cleaning, it's amazing what little changes can do and sure enough, when it's not there you're one step ahead.
HealthyBunny - welcome, welcome. We love some determination around here.
Delphi - the only thing that stopped me from that edition was Soap's head, just didn't fit my decore kwim? But if you have friend with them then you can try them out and be all creepy yourself, wicked. Awesome loss there wow, it was just waiting, and lurking and bam! YOu do get all the good ones, the church fella from next door, the preachers son and now garlic man! I like playing with the elmos and seeing if I can make them vibrate right off the shelf, that is good fun! I'm just wrting this novel while you wrote that, lol.
Jacque - I always hated summer for that exact reason and now I'm realizing why ppl like it so much. Just wear a lot of warm spandex and you won't be able to hide a thing ;)
MeowMix - Welcome to the craziness, we're all some driven challenge seeking A types ourselves so you'll fit right in :)
April - Good for you making that choice, it makes such a difference when your significant other is on the same wave length.
Butterflydiva - you some fancy girl, that looks delicious!
Bootsie - I get that from lack of hydration only and otherwise I'm not terribly sure.
Jessicado - As long as you're back on track I imagine there will be arse biting. You're definitely going through a lot so getting back and not totally falling off is awesome.
Mizmizzy - Welcome aboard, congrats on the new and nice neighbourhood, those are always fantastic. We're big on the old exercise over here so I'm sure you'll find endless motivation.
Hotsplashes - Get better chickie.
MsP - Now that's some business and a good daughter too :) Burn those calories hun! Cograts on those inches, wow, it must be the STing it's nice to get such an awesome reward from all that hard work.
LE - you sure do work some crazy hours, enjoy your rest. To tell you the honest truth, every morning I run, the first thing that crosses my mind when the alarm goes off is to not go, still now after all these months and never missing a day. My next thought however is, exercise is not an option, it will never be an option, now go. That's my script, it works but it's something I think we all struggle with too so we'll try our best to keep you on the straight and narrow.
LTTG - woohoo on the panties , there's all that weight gone plus more!
Bessie Mary Alice - Enjoy that trail, how nice to have somethign like that so close to home.
Sandye - Well, so far, I'm loving it, the STing sessions are so crazy they burn around 700cal themselves, and today was shoulders and arms and I can barely lift my arms, they feel jelloy, just how I like it :) The ab workout is only 16 minutes but I swear it is almost cruel, like divine torture or something. It's all amazing, I love it to bits, and this is day three, lol, granted I've done all the videos b/f vacation so I kinda know what's coming. The variety is what makes me so happy, you actually only do abs more than once a week otherwise different workout every day. Is that crazy exciting enough for ya? A full pound, holy cow!!! Bravo you, you're a step away from the 130s:fr:
Misspiggy - Hope all is well at school, check in when you can.
Miss Mallee - And to think most of us felt like that all the time before, and didn't even notice it. Congrats on keeping up the exercise amist the headache and yuck.
Econnerd - Ya that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, LOL, work hard, gain 8lbs!
NSM - you didn't fall off, I'm sure I saw you dragging behind the wagon last month :) But super glad you're back. We'll try and tone it down, honest, you should have at least one safe place, lol.
Urockmom - the beginnings of the month are like tornados around here with all this crazy posting, purge on!
SG - Just remember the answer is no :) whatever naughty thing, you will overcome and rise above and laugh in the face of it, muhahaha.
Mystical - Loving the picture! Well with eating under control the exercise can totally wait for sure, and hopefully some sleep will come your way.
It's been some crazy busy round these parts today. DD got up the second I came in from my run, hence no post, then dh needed a drive to work, which he forgot to mention yesterday, so no shower, no checking here and off we go. And my funny ha ha today was dh had an autopsy to watch today and he had to take exhibits (ie body parts) back to work to catalogue them and do whatever they do with them. So what does he try and leave with today? My cooler! Honestly, please hun put brains in my food cooler and he didn't see anything wrong with that, he said no brains, just plastic bags with brains inside. What can I say, I love him anyway but sometimes he's a bit slow.
Got tons of organizing done today, cleaned out the walk in closet and got all my chubby clothes boxed up and ready to send to my friend (she asked for them, lol, I won't just send chubby clothes to ppl) They weight 65lbs in that box, I couldn't believe it but it's nice they are going to be loved in a new home.
So my slow downward trend is still trending, down another 0.4 today to hit the 173.6. I have been eating a lot less animal protien lately but who knows.

My DH and are starting trying to get a routine down. He is going to be taking some weights to the shop so in between his calls they will be able to do at least some weight training. When we lived in the states and he worked in a warehouse that is what he did and he seep to start droping weight just by doing that 3 times a day for 15 minutes. Crazy isn't it... Well hope you all have a great night I'll check in with you in the morning... :)
Tummy Girl Thanks DH just took this picture today we were on our way out the door and I told him to take it so I could have an avatar pic LOL

hi all,
so now that school started today my eating has gone to crap. no planning always lands me here. so, for tomorrow, I will pack some fruit, string cheese, water, and a healthy sandwich.
Just came from running, so at least that's ok.
I hope everyone's getting over the hump of the week in fine style!

I just noticed I've gotten lots of welcomes to the challenge! Thanks so much! I'm one of those weirdos who never feels like she fits in, even over the internet so it's nice to have see some friendly welcomes!
I'm not sure how you guys keep track of our progress for this, do I make a post about it or edit my old one with my progress? Or do you just go by my ticker?

Good evening, girls.
MSP ~ Woo hoo on the weight and the inches loss! You are such an inspriration!
Bessie ~ Welcome aboard!
SANDYE ~ I know you got that closet cleaned and woo hoo on the weight loss! I don't know if I'll be able to see you the next tijme I visit!
LE ~ So good that you listen to yourself! So many times I say "*screw it, I'm too tired!" Actually not so much recently, but oh, in the past, heck ya!
SHASHA ~ Great idea removing the temptation. I find that if I really want something and it involves driving to the store, I can wait it out. Almost out of sight out of mind. Of course I discovered yogurt, and though peach is oh so good, I still crave chocolate ice cream!

Dang! I lost my other posts! They were witty and funny, too! Oh, well.
SG Resist the naughty! You can do it!!!!
[DELPHI ~You survived the DMV! Major points there. I had to spend not one, but two afternoons there last week, which resulted in my missing two ST workouts!
TUMMY ~ Woo hoo on the loss! I told Sandye that I knew you and Delhi would pass me up, and good daughter that she is, said, "they are younger than you." True, but it is more than that. You two work your arses off and deserve to have those pounds fly off! Good job! I have to say that although I would not want brains in my coooler, I think it would be fascinating to investigate (and bring to justice those responsible) a murder.
As for me, I did upper and lower body ST yesterday, and as I missed most days last week due to the DMV, fence building, and a smashed little finger, I may have overdone it. I am so sore! Yesterday I did FIVE miles with Leslie (WATP). For those who are not ready to run, it's a great workout. I sweat much more that doing just two miles on the treadmill. Much more fun, too. Today I did upper body ST. So all in all, a good day.

Well today went very well. Got two walks/jogs in and some pilates. I'm glad I've started pilates again, I always start to feel firm after doing it awhile. The scale was the same today so I'm glad, hope its down some more tomorrow.
I was looking into getting the kids a fitness DVD, I've been thinking about it for while, since we homeschool and I want to make sure and have some kind of fitness program. Not that we don't have enough going on around here to keep them moving, my son is 10 and this year he has aquired alot of chores lol! Sometimes he has to milk the goat, make sure all the animals have water, taking garbage up to the end of the driveway, etc. But come winter time and they won't be near as active.
Delphi I like some of the Healthy Choices, I only get them when they are on sale and I try not to eat them very often, but they do make a nice quick lunch. I used to buy Lean Cuisines but I haven't got any for awhile.
Catch you chickies later!

Yeah that could work.... :)

Good Morning Ladies.
This is merely a drive by posting. This is an off day, so no getting up early. I'm up a wee bit this morning, but I had a killer ST session yesterday, I'm sore all over, so I know I'm retaining a bit, nothing I can do about it..but sit back and admire my muscles. Oh my gosh my back look so good...I'm so glad I have stuck with ST all these months. It really is paying off...the fat is falling off and all those beautiful muscles are sitting there all sexy and stuff. ;)
At any rate, I'll be back later to check in, so until then you beautiful people have an excellent day!

I won't be posting personals until tonight. I have an appointment in Knoxville today and gotta run. But I already argued with myself this morning about working out, but I won! YAY for me! I think having some good music really helped. I treated myself to some new itunes last night to help with my workout. Hopefully, they will keep me motivated for a while! I hope everyone has a really great day.
PS- Delphi thanks for the comment on my pics. I just love the one of my pup with her ears just a-flying! she cracks me up!

Having a hard exercising so hot but I got a feeling if it was not hot I would find some other excuse, I just need to toughen up. Be back later. I love to be in an active groups like this, it strengthens me hearing all your success and weakness 's seeing you doing something about it, not giving up!

Good morning all! I'm on a roll here...3 days in a row remember ing my vitamin. I know it's a small step, but the small steps all add up. So, good breakfast, vitamin, exercise, and plan for a good day. It should be another productive one. I think today will be laundry...this time actually getting everything put away LOL, vacuuming everything, and cleaning up/sorting this misc. pile of junk (mostly papers) in my bedroom.
Sandye-Way to go on the 8 min runs...okay that sounds a little wrong, but still GREAT JOB! Just wait...soon enough you'll keep running alright!
LE-Oh my, heck yeah I have those conversations with myself! I win MOST of the time. Today my little phrase to myself was something along the lines of "No Excuses!"
Delphi-It's awesome uncovering those sexy muscles, eh?! You're doing all the right things to get to "normal" ASAP.
LTTG-Thanks! You're too sweet! I use WATP dvd's too. Well, not since the spring, but in the winter it can really give a nice indoor cardio workout. It was what kinda spring boarded me into running again. And good job on getting your workouts in the last several days...keep up the hard work!
MeowMix-This is a friendly board. I know that's what kept me here when I started these monthly challenges 8+ months ago...just knowing people noticed I was here and wanted to encourage me. It's a great feeling to have that support..even if it is online!
dcapulet-Way to stop the bad trend before it became worse! I know you can turn it right around and get moving in the right direction. Your lunch sounds yummy, too!
Ruth-I like pilates too for that reason. What dvd do you use? I've tried a few and haven't found the "perfect" one yet. Some are too basic and some aren't basic enough! LOL
Mystical-So nice to put a beautiful face with the screen name! Yeah, it's amazing how small changes can make a difference sometimes. It's great that DH is on board with ya!
SG-Come out from the paper tornado and take a break! JK I know you must be swamped getting back to the grading papers routine. Just say NO to naughties, but you know, every once in a rare while you can cut yourself a small break and have something special...as long as it doesn't turn into an all out calorie fest!
Tummy-You don't just send random overweight people your "fat" clothes? hmmm LOL It's nice your friend can make use of them. I'm all about passing stuff along. I gave a bunch to my mom who's on her own little weight loss journey.
I can't recall who asked, but mom's surgery is tomorrow (Friday). It should all go well. She's a nurse herself, so she knows the rundown. Also, the house we're selling is set to close (and be off our backs, yay!!!) the 15th of this month. It got moved up a touch and we are going to finish clearing our stuff out this Saturday and put it in storage while we're living here at the in-laws. Crazy times! I can't complain though. We're SO blessed!

Sounds like everyone is busy busy! Must be the back to school thing.
Delphi - seeing your new muscles must be so rewarding and motivating!
iDream - The running sounds like it is going well! I can't wait until I can run for 8 minutes and not feel like I'm going to die, lol.
I was up a little this morning, but I also was high on my calories yesterday. I was just so hungry last night. I was really low a couples of days this week too, so I guess it will all balance out.

Gangstas..eh? Word up home slice!
LE ~ You crack me up... Word to yo mutha? LMAO! Too funny!
Sandye ~ Wow look at you, all running and stuff. I hope you guys have a great day at the park.
Hotsplashes ~  Too funny! All these drive by's can give one that impression..eh?
MsP ~ Well I wish mom the best and here's to a speedy recovery. ;)
bootsie ~ Is exactly the reason I love these ladies...it's kind of like a virtual Cheers. ;)
Nella ~ No worries..unless you consumed 3500 calories, it's probably just water weight darling. ;)
MeowMix ~ Well we are certainly glad to have you here. THe more the merrier I always say.
Mystical ~ Lovin' the new avatar beautiful ;)
Tummy ~ If I get those goggles, I'm posting a picture just for you...of course I'll be wearing them. So how goes the days...staying pretty busy? What a funny story about the cooler though. You may need to start stashing those bad boys.
Well I got my two hours of Rock Band in early this morning. Kind of my goal, is to get at least two hours in every day..or at least on Tuesday and Thursday. It keeps me active, and now that I'm real good, I tend to dance my arse off while doing. It's proving to be quite the calorie burner. Well I'm off to go smoke and do some laundry. I'll check back in with you homies later.

Morning!
Dcapulet - good plan for today, just one day good, then the next and you're on your way!
Mystical - Your very welcome, glad your dh is taking to this so well, it must be really nice to have a friend in the journey, you know in real life ;)
MeowMix - Some of us update our weightloss through daily posts, some ppl come once a week and post on their weigh in day and even others come in at the beginning and end of the month with their updates. We just write a new post at the bottom with whatever is going on for us. The large majority of us use the tickers to update too. We love to hear about anything so if you lost 0.2lbs and you're excited about it then let us know so we can cheer you on too. It's totally up to you and we will help you on your way with whatever we can do :) I agree, it does feel weird and socially awkward sometimes, even virtually, like you're walking up to total strangers in a parking lot who are laughing and talking and asking them to be your friend too. But unlike real life we are much nicer here, lol, and it's great to have you. I felt the same way when I started on this thread and the ladies are marvelous and I have always felt very welcome here.
LTTG - LOL, it might also be age but then again, I don't have a job outside the house and only one child. She naps, goes to bed at 8, sleeps until 8 and she mainly listens and it gives me a lot of time to do my "work." Also, my dh works a lot so it gives me a hobby too. And yes, I agree it would be cool, he is crazy excited these last few days, they did catch the guy responsible but now they are just building the case. And believe it or not I used you as an example for my mom, she's been thinking about trying to drop the 30 or so pounds she put on in the last few years (hip replacement, both sides, and she had reduced mobility for the few years leading up to the surgery) but she thinks she's too old to try. So I told her about you and that it may be harder but there are ppl out there trying regardless so she should too.
Ruth - How many little ones do you have? Goodness that's a full time job on top of another full time sahm job. No wonder you're up so late.
Delphi - Lots of naked mirror time? LOL me too it's marvelous, I like to flex while getting things out of the fridge. I'll need to be about 20lbs lower to get the same definition as you though so I'm counting them pounds, can't wait. It was pretty funny too, some conversations you just never think you're gonna have with your spouse, ever, but surprises around every corner. Oh I totally want a goggle pic, that would be my computer wallpaper, lol, just like buffalo bill! Yup we're busy and crazy as always, granted it's self induced business but the alternative is a messy house with a fat sahm and an unhappy little girl.
Sandye - All I hear is cars driving by this morning! I'm just so impressed, I mean you essentially doubled your exercise last month and now you're all kicking butt and stuff, just awesome. Enjoy the park again with you little munchkins.
Hotsplashes - LOL that might scare ppl off but it'd be funny! Sounds like an awesome course, you'll be able to fascinate ppl at dinner parties too.
Butterflydiva- If it works then keep doing it for sure, and if we see a large pizza pop up in there be ready to hear about it, lol. But great job staying away from the junk.
LE - So you're a gagsta then too! Another drive by, Glad you won the workout today and  b/c that was too funny.
Bootsie - I'm so glad to hear that the thread is helping. It really does seem that the more active ppl with it the more they get out of it. Is there any way to workout before it gets too hot. Sandye was down in texas for a bit and she mentioned the same thing and she ended up getting up really early from what I recall. And you're probably right, b/c usually where there's a will..etc. Each day you do it makes the day after easier too it's just that getting started and consistent that's a toughy then you're golden.
MsP - putting us to shame with your productivity yet again;) That's great about the house too, nothing makes you feel lighter than unloading a house. What you mean randomly walking up to people on the street and trying to give away my fat clothes is a bad idea, my opening line will be something like, "excuse me miss, but you look like you're about a size 18 or 20, I have something over here just for you..." If I don't get slapped or punched, I'll have a new friend! And wow, your pic, you look teeny tiny, that must feel awesome!
Nella - Chances are it will all even out for sure, I love a good weekly average with the calories, makes it interesting.
Ahhh it's thursday and a nice sleep in day, up at 8 instead of 6. Yesterday I got all the laundry done and beds stripped and all that jazz so today I think it might be the other tow bathrooms, I have not really scrubbed them since we got back from vaca and I think it might be time before the dirt has a coup and takes over. Dh is off today, for real, finally and goes back tomorrow for seven days again so I'm not sure what we'll be up to other than that, maybe some nice family movie night or something.
But I'm down another 0.4lbs today to 173.2, maybe it's the p90x Sandye, maybe you should get it ;) I'm also delightfully sore from yesterdays awesome arms and shoulder workout and hopefully while I'm doing yoga today I don't fall on my face during downward dog.
Have a marvelous day ladies and don't forget to sweat on purpose!

LTTG ~ Hey you! Don't you worry about your loss. You are doing just fine. Believe me when I say you are doing a fabulous job. The older we get the slower our metabolism gets..so it's just amazing that you are doing so well. If anyone should be commended..it should be you.
Tummy ~ Yeah, actually seeing the biceps really well and the upper back, shoulders, and chest muscles...are well defined already..my triceps still have some fat or skin on them...I guess I wont know until I get further along, but it's all gravy baby. And  at the wall paper. Too funny! Have yourself a great day darling.
I so forgot to mention my trip to the tanning bed yesterday. Man alive at all the room in that thing now. I can turn over without it being a task...it was nice actually. I don't do it often, minus a few times in the winter to keep my color...but this time it was great! HOWEVER, there are disadvantages to losing the weight...there's no more cushion for the pushin' ya know? My hip bone annoys the heck out of me when I do side shoulder lifts...dang bones. Even in the tanning bed...

Ok finally time for some personals after like a week off. :D
urockmom & dandk0204- Welcome! Good luck with your September goals.:)
NSM- Calorie counting can be annoying when first starting out. I track on daily plate and I remember that whenever I slipped up I would hate to write it down or just "forget". But I realized that the only person that was screwing was me. Anyways, it might take a couple weeks, but once you get the hang of it, it will get addicting.
ruth- Congrats on starting the month with a loss. I unfortunatly started with a gain, but it just made me work harder! Oh and I love some of the new Healthy Choices too. I think the mushroom marsala is my fav.
HealthyBunny- :goodluck: We are all here for ya!
Delphi- hehe nice! I bet thats flattering to get hit on, even if its not someone you are into. And awesome job on getting in the 170's, color me jealous! My final goal is to be 175.
meowmix- It might be hard to be good on the bdays, but think of how great you will feel 8 lbs lighter. Good luck, I'm sure you can do it! Oh and about not fitting in I know how you feel. I belong to other forums where I post and just get ignored. Thats not the case here at all.
jessicado- Its ok to eat off plan every now and then. I had a couple days last week where I ate crappy for every meal. As long as you can dust yourself off, its not going to matter in the grand scheme of things.
mizmizzy- Welcome, the more the merrier!
Hotsplashes- Hope you're feeling better.
jacque- I know this is a few days late, but I am diggin the new pic!
Late to the game- Hi there! Long time no see. Congrats on being down a few.
april- Congrats on getting that weight back down.
butterfly- Your meal plan is so healthy, but it all sounds delicious.
MsP- Hope everything goes stress free for you. Woo hoo for losing 5.25 inches. I need to start keep track of that, esp if the scale doesn't move.
Bootsie- Sorry no real advice for you about the leg cramps. Has it gotten better?
Bessie- Welcome to this thread. You will love it here.
Sandye- You are chugging right along with your loss. I could not be happier for you. You certainly deserve it with all the hardwork you put in esp after everything you do on a daily basis. :bravo:
misspiggy- Good luck with the goals. Hope school is going great.
Lewisempire- Sometimes getting gym clothes on is half the battle. I literally have to force myself to workout at times.
miss mallee- We all slip up and its hard not to if you are starving. I have definatly been there a few times. Glad to hear that you have dusted yourself off and getting your workouts in.
econ- Wow good job on the water intake. I suffered there a lil yesterday.
shrinking girl- Ugh I hate cravings. I hope you made out ok.
mystical- I like your pic, you are so pretty! Sorry about the sleeping problems, but glad to hear that you are staying OP.
Tummy- Thats kinda funny about your hubby and the cooler. Ahhh men, gotta love them. I so need to get some organizing done too. I feel like I just clean and clean and it just piles up. You are on a roll with the weight loss.
Alright, finally caught up with like 5 pages of personals. Whew I'm tired. Had a bad morning, but I'm feeling better now. Eating wise, great, but just had a little tif with the bf. No biggie we are fine now. I'm down another .2 lbs this morning putting me at 247.2. I had my make up training yesterday with the new trainer. I really like his style. I got a great workout without feeling like I was going to die. I can't wait to go back tomorrow. This weekend my friend is coming down for a few days. It was last minute, and I already made plans with another friend for Friday night. But my boyfriend and her were roomies for a few years so I'm sure they will go hang out somewhere and be fine. I bought a really cute dress for Friday night girls night out. It actually makes me look smaller. If I take any good pics maybe I will post here if you guys are interested. (not sure if this is a picture thread

shasha17a I woud love to see some pictures... Having a trainer you enjoy makes it allot more fun... Keep up the good work :strong: Thank you for your concern on my sleeping issue... Hopefully things will get better LOL
Tummy Girl Yes it makes things better since I have my DH (my best friend) helping me with this journey... Sometimes it can be bad though because when I feel like turning to all the wrong foods he goes right along with me... I think sometimes we can be bad for each other in that way LOL I must say though today he took the weights with him to the shop and they have already had an hour workout today... Better than me. :(
:cheer2: on the weight loss you are doing awesome.
Delphi Thanks Delphi I finally decided to add my picture even thought I hate taking them.. I have been doing lots of scrapbooking lately and I find that I am not in very many pictures... I really think that is because I have never like the way I look and I didn't want to be reminded I had a weight problem... Things are changing for my though now.. Even though I have only lost a few lbs mentally I am really starting to make those changes.
Nella I am sure if you had a high calorie day that being up is just a little water gain . Keep up the good spirits you are doing great :flow1:
Ms Perception :bravo: Yes all those little steps add up. Your are doing great keep up the planning that is awesome...
Bootsie  I find that coming here helps me stay motivated. I know that when I see all of the ups and downs that other people go through all the same things as me. If I don't post here I find that it is so easy for me to get off plan.. This place is my rock the best support from all the wonderful ladies here.
Lewisempire :exercise: Awesome job! Music helps me work out and I love getting new music to keep things interesting... Have a great day!
ButterflyDiva
Hotsplashes Thanks for posting about the water.. It was a reminder for me to drink more. :thanks:
iDream :high: You are such and inspiration to me... Thanks for sharing, I hope that I will be able to get my workouts down and doing my runs without feeling like my heart is just going to jump out of my chest... Maybe you should be my :coach:I need another one of those :kickbutt: sessions. LOL
Jacque9999 Hope you are having a fantastic day! :flow2:
Wow I think I am caught up.. If I missed anyone I am sorry hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Hi Ladies
No downward movement of the scale yet, actually up a .2 but yesterday was POP, actually a little lower on calories than usual and lots of water. I'm thinking its the pilates because I do have some sore abs and other muscles.
Tummy I just have two kids, dd is 7 and ds is 10. Hubby wants to have one or two more kids but I don't think I'm ready, if I didn't homeschool then maybe but right now homeschooing is more important to me than having more kids. I'm thirty now and I'm kind of afraid how a pregnancy would affect me, and I wouldn't want to get pregnant at this weight. I thought I was fat when I got pregnant with my son at 150lbs, I gained 40lbs and had horrible sciatica pain and I was only 20. Then I lost weight and was 133 went I got pregnant with dd and gained 35lbs but the sciatica pain was even worse. So if I ever get pregnant again I'll probably have to go to the chiropractor or something to get from being immobile lol. Anyway how did I get off on this rant? How many calories do you eat a day? Do you use a certain ST program? That is so great to see a loss practically every day! I've been the same for three days in a row and I've been POP, but the scale has GOT to budge within the next day or two.
Delphi toned muscles are awesome, I'm just glad my back fat is about gone
MsP I use Winsor Pilates but I really want to get something different, I've had them for years but I do know they work. I start out with the 20min then after I get used to it again I start the Accelerated which I think is around 50min. Sometimes I turn down the volume and listen to my own music. I tried Pilates Fusion from our library and my legs were so sore for days!
I have those arguements with myself also. I got to bed really late again last night and so didn't feel too great this morning so I figured I would take a day off from exercise but as the day has went on I think I've decided to go ahead and get some walking and jogging done on the treadmill. You girls talking about the CT5K has inspired me to try to improve my endurance with jogging. I've never been able to jog very much even when I tried to slowly build up, but I've been jogging a little slower (5-5.5mph instead of 6+) and yesterday I jogged for 4 minutes, its probably been years since I've jogged that long!
Gotta go outside and play with the kids! Have fun today ladies!

My my my!!!
I turn my back for a few hours and this place has exploded! A new day has dawned and with it, my c25k run, which went well enough. Day three is going to be a challenge for me and my knees are shaking just thinking about 20 minutes without stopping. I don't think I can do it... but then, I've never thought I could any of the times and look how far I've come! If I manage Day 3 I might have to let out a victory cry at 5:30 am and I won't care if I wake the neighbors!!!
Work work work. I came in super early today and managed to get bunches done. I'd planned on staying another hour after work but just realized I have a chiropractor appointment so I'll just have to deal with it. The load is getting lighter and I'm very proud of myself for all of the cravings I've had, I haven't actually *really* considered eating anything off plan or out of my now ordinary diet. It's an empowering feeling, really and I'm pretty happy. Yay!
I did email and ask to be removed from a few committees. I just can't do it all this year. This new class is intensive and it's actually the equivalent of two new classes, plus I have more challenging students this year and I'm absolutely dedicated to helping them do their best so the committees have to go!! It actually feels like quite a weight off my shoulders.
My cycle is all screwed up. TOM is here again about 2 weeks after the last one. I'll call my doc but I'm sure it's nothing major. I'm always screwed up.. it's just usually I never get TOM and now I have too much! Figures.
Ok, I have 10 minutes to do this... let's see what I get done...
Ms P - A picture! It's good to see you! It was me who asked about your mom's surgery. I obviously don't read the dates on the posts before I reply to them. Doh!
Delphi - Your new photo is amazing and you look fantastic and beautiful. Thanks for the reminder about the cortisol... I'm making a very concerted effort to NOT get stressed now! And ooooh, muscles! Go you!
mystical - I hope you get some sleep. Not getting enough sleep is absolute torture and no wonder you've no energy! BTW, I love your photo!
Tummy - As a science person, I can totally relate to your DH. I'm always putting "stuff" in coolers or using my pressure cooker at home to sterilize things and my DH always gives me that look of "you've donated that to the school now, I hope you know that." I think us science types are harder to gross out than most!
dcapulet - Plan plan plan! ... but good for you on the running! Woo HOo!
MeowMix - We usually announce our loss for everyone to see, wait... that's what I do. I assume everyone does the same, mainly because we like the visual applause which happens afterwards. :)
Late - Ouch, smashed finger! That made me cringe just hearing it! I used to do the WATP and I always liked them... though I never got as high as 5 miles! Sheesh!
ruth - I think a fitness video is a good idea. Personally, I think it's a nice idea to train them to take time out of their day for exercise. Just my opinion.
idream - Maaan, I think you're kicking my butt at the c25k. You're probably not even worried about the day 3 run.. Congrats on the 8 minutes. I too could have run longer but again I pushed myself that last minute and so I was definitely ready to stop THAT. It seems like the first 3 minutes are torturous and then my body just goes.... I'm hoping that's how it'll be on day 3.
Hotsplashes - Forensic Science! I'm so jealous!!
OMG, My 10 minutes are up, kids are streaming in and I still have a page to go! Sorry!!!!

SG I agree about the exercise. I've always tried to keep them physically active, we have 9 acres and my in-laws live next to us also with 9 acres and we like to take walks around the property and the kids go too. Sometimes I'll make them go extra laps with me and I'll hear moans and groans about it but I'm like..come on let's go, you need the exercise! My son will try to be lazy and use the 4-wheeler to do a chore and if its not something that he truly needs it for, I tell him to walk. Especially now because he gained some weight at the beginning of the year and started to get a bit of a belly on him. He's always been trim so it was shocking to see a fat roll on his stomach. He's lost about 3 pounds, we're aiming for maybe 5-7 more .

Hey ladies! I just wrote this big ole post with lots of personals, and then apparently deleted it and am now too pissed to rewrite them all, so sorry! I did take the time to read everyone's posts though...which man if you are gone for a few days are alot! We are an active group, yay us!
Off the top of my head though, Shasha--I totally want to see pics! Congrats!
Well, I finally got the Wii moved into the new house, and weighed myself for the first time since last week. I was expecting the scale to stay the same, or maybe even go up since I had that setback day with pizza and chocolates, and then had some pasta and carrot cake the next day.....and have only had time to exercise once (bad me) in the past week, but the scale was down almost 5 pounds!! :carrot: I am sure some of that is water weight from TOM being gone, but who cares! I mentioned it to the new roommate this morning, and she said she had noticed a difference since I had moved in and that my face looked thinner. I was so surprised since it has only been a week, and I hadn't noticed anything, but I am really bad about noticing subtle weight changes. Seriously, I'll watch The Biggest Loser and people will lose like 30 pounds and I can barely see a difference.
I have been making a point to eat really good these past few days though, and am trying new things like buckwheat, so it must be paying off! Especially if I know I can now have a cheat day now and then and it might actually help with the weight loss! Man I can't wait until the Y opens up next week (closed for remodeling right now) and I can start really working out. I should really start seeing results then!
EDIT: I just realized that I have lost exactly 20 pounds in the past month! Holy crappoli!:o I joined in on here on Aug 3 at 285, and today is Sept 3 and I weigh under 265. I had no idea until my Jingle away the Jiggle ticker said 20 pounds when I just updated it.....

Well it's been 2 days now and I have been OP and doing my Wii fit. I don't know how some of you can weigh in each day it is to disappointing for me as I gained 1.6 pounds in one day on the Wii so I have decided not to do the body test more than once a week now. I know it was water and the time of day...but still. I have been off work this week so that has been nice. I had planned to clean out my bedroom closets but have discovered my empty totes are buried and that was enough for me to call it quits. I really should do it though as I am a huge pack rat and it would make me feel better. It would also organize the whole array of different sizes in there. I hope you all have a great day and I will check in again tomorrow.

Holy schemoly girls! Is everyone hopped up on caffeine or something or is it all the endorphins from all of your workouts that's got everyone so chatty? LOVE IT!!
Okay, lemme see how long this is gunna take--starting at 2:08...GO!
LE~ Bwahaha! GOATS?! I didn't even notice that! Ya know, I wouldn't have been surprised if one had come trotting right out of there--yes, it was that bad! I found all kinds of stuff in there! But I conquered that bad boy!! And heck ya, I argue with myself all the time! Every single morning when I hear that alarm go off I growl and say, "ugh...5 more minutes...*beep-beep-beep*...for the love of Peter, Paul and Mary! I'm still tired! Ugh...*beep-beep-beep*...grrrrrr...FINE Okay, I'm getting up! Are you happy? Are you? Sheesh!" and then I hear another voice in my head reply, "Yes. I am happy you get yourself out of bed...now get your butt downstairs and get that workout in!!!!"
Shasha~ Way to go getting rid of all the tempting stuff! That is such a huge part of changing the way you eat! Sorry about the tif with your bf, that stinks! Glad you're liking your new trainer!
Molly~ man alive--3 Cokes? Well, I'm sorry you had a Coke hangover, but at least you realized your mistake! Hope you had a fantastic time ice skating! :)
Ruth~ I just bought my first butternut squash ever and I found a super yummy sounding recipe on cooking light . com for a lasagna--oh it sounds so yummy! I plan on trying it out this weekend! Pilates...I have always wanted to try it but haven't found one that fits yet. Might have to hit up Netflix and try some out!
econ nerd~ I have bad math days just about every day!
NSM~ just an fyi--I might be changing my avatar soon, so just be sure you're on the look out! ;) Hee hee, my special pen--I don't let anyone use it ever! I swear, I'm a nut! So how goes the journaling?
urockmom~ well then, do share what you've decluttered! I need some more motivation! I'm almost ready to just take all of my yard sale stuff and take it to Goodwill instead...but...I would like a little extra cash too...;)
SG~ Oooh girlie, you CAN do Day 3!!! I just feel it in my bones! I'm going to come here on Saturday (that's the day you'll be running it right?) and I'm going to see a post from you that says, "I DID IT! I ran for 20 minutes straight!!! I ROCK!!!" and if, for some crazy reason I don't--then so be it. You'll try again! And you'll get that 20 mins under your belt and move on to Week 6. :) I have faith in you may dear!! :) And heck ya--wake the neighbors when those 20 mins are up, what are they gunna do, yell at ya? *snort* Who cares? You'll have just run for 20 mins straight--you're a superstar!!!!! :D And WTG taking yourself off of some committees! Sometimes you just gotta say "No!".
Delphi~ wooooooooooooooooooooo-ee girlie look at YOU! You look amazing! Love the new pic hun! And congrats on those muscles! Isn't it amazing the changes you're seeing? And yep, I think we might just need a Friday Challenge or two--whatcha think? ;) And woo hoo on the roomier tanning beds! I hear ya about the hip bones though--sometimes I forget that I don't have all the hip padding that I used to and when I go to lay down on the floor to read to the girls at night I'm surprised when my hips hurt!
Mystical~ Awww! Look at you! You're beautiful! So nice to put a face to the name hun!! :) You're so lucky to have your dh on board! Mine's still not and it's frustrating because HE'S one of the main reasons I started all of this! (well, in support of him because he was supposed to change his diet due to high triglycerides...) Sounds like you're doing great! Have fun with the HIIT! Are you doing walk/running or what? And listen hun, if you need a :coach: or a few good :kickbutt:s I'm your gal! You just give me a holler and I'll whoop your butt!!!! ;)
Tummy~ I flex when opening the fridge too! :lol3: Yes, that was crazy excited enough! I'm buying it asap! Probably once I finish this mega long post in fact! Congrats on the loss again hun! You're so close to getting out of the 170's!!! Amazing work hun!!! And OMG, I am so glad I wasn't drinking when I read your cooler story! :lol3: Can you imagine if he put them in there and you didn't know it? And then you opened it up to pack a lunch? Bwahahaha! That would be crazy!
dcapulet~ okay girlie, tough love time! No more eating like crap! I'm glad to see you planned your day yesterday--now make it stick! Got it? Good! Okay, tough love over, now it's time for praise: Woo hoo on getting your run in yesterday girlie!! :carrot:
MeowMix~ oh this group of girls is the best ever! I joined them in May and have felt nothing but welcomed and supported (not to mention amazed, inspired, motivated...) the whole time! As for posting any losses/progress, feel free to post whenever, however you want! Updating your ticker is great, but we can't see your ticker if you don't post so ya gotta do that too! Tummy's right, we'll cheer on any loss! Heck, we've even been known to cheer about new panties! So post away my dear and especially post if you're needing some motivation or extra cheering on--we're here for ya!! :)
Mom~ glad you had such a great day yesterday! 5 miles?! Holy cow, that's a lot! You're kickin' some serious boo-tay!!! Glad the DMV **** is over with--see, that's another reason you need to move here! First of all it's the BMV ;) and secondly--it's dead as a doornail! You walk in, you get helped, you walk out--easy peasy! ;) So, you mentioned coming to visit--just let me know when! You know I'm always ready for a visit!! :D
Hotsplashes~ you gangsta you! Sorry you ended up with a migraine! Those suck! And ooooh, I'm so jealous! I'd love to take forensic science!!! Maybe one day when the kids are older! Have fun in that class!
ButterflyDiva~ your meals sound delish! Great job eating so healthy!!! :carrot:
Bootsie~ Hey, that's what we're here for!! :) Now, I hope that you get your workout in today and that you stay OP as well! Oh yeah, and are you drinking your water? :D Have a great day!
MsP~ Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!!!! Look at how teensy your legs are!!!! Girl, you look fantastic!!! Sounds like you're going to outdo me on the productivity today--but there's always tomorrow. ;) Yeah, 8 min runs-- made me giggle. Every time I type 'runs' I can't help but think of, well, ya know. Call me immature I guess. :D WTG remembering your vitamin! I used to be the same way so I know it's a major victory hun! Just keep it up now! :)
Nella~ yep, I find that after a higher calorie day I'm up a little too and you're right, it does tend to even out when you have lower calorie days as well. Keep up the great work!
Jessica~ WOO HOO! That's crazy fantastic girlie!!! :carrot: I'm glad you've got your Wii all set up and now you can get settled. :) Glad to see you and hope you'll be posting regularly now! Woo hoo! 5 pounds--that's insane!!! :)
Okay--2:54 Dang!!! Granted, I did tend to the girls a few times, but still--that took a while!
So the park was nice, only 2 girls showed up but the weather was perfect and the girls had fun. After that we hit the grocery store, stocked up on some stuff and came home so we could chill out. I ended up having a microwaved lunch mainly because by that time it was 2 o'clock and I was pretty dang hungry. :) It had veggies in it so I'm cool with it--just need to make sure to drink lots of water today to get that sodium out of my system!
So, I'm going to order the P90X today! :carrot: I hope it gets here ASAP! I'm super excited to get in some intense workouts! OMG--did I just type that?! Who is this crazy woman I have become?!
Well girls, I need to fold some laundry so I better head out! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and since I'm crazy about the ol' H20, here's one more reminder for you! :D
Drink Your Water!!!

Whassup homies!
This is just an accountability post for me, will come and do personals in a few hours. Yesterday I made a conscious effort to write all my food down and it went really well. Hubby brought some treats last night and because I knew exactly how much I had eaten and how much dinner was going to be I actually managed to fit a little piece in without going over my calories. I am really digging the flexibility of this.
Anyways, I will be back to do personals soon. In the mean time Peace Out!

Delphi - Ahh yes the bat wings, makes me feel like a super hero! Hope ya didn't burn that hot behind again ;) Lovin' the avatar you look sweet and hot!
Shasha - Yes pictures are welcomed and encouraged and please do! Glad the new trainer is great after the last experience hopefully he'll be on time too!
Mystical - It must be nice to be able to workout at work, wow that's like getting paid to lift, I like it! And thanks, it's really nice to see the results a bit faster now so it's helped keep my motivation up there to keep going. Glad you finally got some zzzz's and now you'll have enough energy for the workouts, enjoy your HIIT and let us know how you like it (or curse us to death while you're doing it, hehe)
Ruth - Ya, those boys sometimes, we had problems having a second one and I'm pretty sure it was the weight although with dd I was 192 and everything was alright minus my blood pressure (which was terrible!) We tried but I'm glad things didn't work out when I was 220 even though it was hard at the time, I can't imagine how hard that would have been on my body too. I'm all for wanting kids to have healthy moms now instead so one is fine if that's what's ment to be. My friend had the same thing with her first and now she's a lot heavier and has no sciatica pain, pregnancy is weird that way i guess. I kind of cycle my calories a bit I stick between 1400 and 1600 (usually at higher end my average weekly is 1550) on training days and on my day off I'm around 1200-1300. Then I usually burn between 1100-1500 cal a day with my exercise 6 days a week. The losses have been great but I usually have to get my head right so I'm not disappointed when the day comes that it doesn't happen, kwim? Congrats on the jog!
Tummy Girl

SG - the 20 minutes isn't bad, you will be amazed at how all the other days prepare you for it and then when you're done be sure to run around like rocky and sing eye of the tiger. I've heard of weight loss affecting TOM, releasing stuff from stored fat and making it happen more, not sure if it's reliable but yuck regardless.
Jessicado - OMG 5lbs, what an awesome surprise, take it an run! And that's fantastic, 20lbs is remarkable and what a testament to doing it when times are tough just imagine how awesome you'll be with less stress!
Tummy Girl
09-03-2009, 04:43 PM
Bigmid - I don't get big jumps liek that so I think that's why it's easier to weigh daily for me, I get the occassional up day but it's TOM or salt and it's usually not much. If I had huge variation I probably couldn't either.
Sandye - LOL, I love getting the big 4L milk out, you get the best pump! That's too funny. I'm so excited you're getting it, I like company in my torture! It will definitely help ya spice it up for sure. And thanks, it's nice to be smaller and see those pounds off faster, great motivation every day. I know, I would have kicked his arse, but luckily he bought a new one for the office that is now the official "brain" cooler.
NSM - Consider yourself accounted. Glad it's working, that's exactly why I love it too, when it's all written down you know what you have room for and what you don't. It takes alot of the decision or momentary desire out of it anyway. Good for you!
Just posting funny today b/c we're having internet issues and I don't want to loss my post :) It's menu day again, I swear I just did that but it's been a week of food already done, it just flew by. So gonna go plan some veggie goodness for the next 7 days and then do an hour and a half of yoga, oh my!
Also, almost done HIIT, only one day left on Saturday, can't believe it, it seemed like only yesterday that I was cursing Sandye's name and loving it all at the same time.

Hi girls, just got back from lunch. It is soooo hot outside here, sheesh. I really hope it cools down soon because there is a huge fire in So Cal and it hasn't been getting too much better. TOM is just starting for me, so I can feel myself getting bigger. One of my friend's lives really close to our work, so we went over to bbq at his new pad. I had 2 hot dogs and some chips, but I am still within my calories. Tonight I'm going to do step aerobics. Hopefully it cools down outside a little so that I don't lose the drive to go. Oh and I will take pics to post tonight. I haven't lost too much weight and I haven't take pics at my SW of 255, but I will post pics from when I was around 290 to show a comparison.

Recovering from last night's run, but feeling pretty good. My favorite capris and falling off, so it's all worth it.

Is it too late to join?
If not I'd like to see 190 by the end of September, that would be 11 pounds.

Ok, as promised, I am back for personals before this thread gets any longer :D
urock: You are so right, getting rid of useless stuff feels so nice, I specially love it when somebody who wants it more than I do gets it (I do a lot of freecycling).
SG: here's some :dust: for you. You know what? I think it's a great idea that you asked to be removed from some committees. Your priorities have to change, and by that I mean you and your health, kwim?
Delphi: Hey you sexy you! Are you still doing MFC? Or are you doing some other ST'ing now?. It's the hubby who plays CoD online with his friends on Friday. He likes his first person shooters old style, so they do it on the PC, it was actually sort of nice when the computer was not working properly 'cause he couldn't play and I had him all to myself
mystical: I hear you. I don't sleep very well if I have not been active during the day, and that can become a vicious cycle, hope it gets better for you soon.
Tummy: You are right, I didn't completely fall of the wagon but I was holding on for dear life. At least I didn't gain any weight ;). You make that workout sound so good that I might consider it once I've gotten tired of all that I have now and join you and Sandye he he. LOL at your DH and the cooler thing, men are sometimes truly clueless.
dcapulet: I always dread a change in my routine because I know that will throw me for a loop, hopefully you'll get a handle on things really soon.
Meow: There's no rules on our little corner and that's what makes it so much fun. You come and update us on your post however you like as often as you like. Welcome!
LTTG: Glad to see you back at it. I must have missed the pinky story. Hope you get better soon!
Sandye: Wow, look at you go chickie, you are a runner now! Thanks for letting me know about the avatar LOL. Once I move and I have a decent sized kitchen I will set up a nice journal station with a pretty pad and pen. For now I have to keep either writing it in scraps of paper until I go straight into the computer or just run to my ipod, but hey, at least I am remembering.
Hotsplashes: Glad to hear you are feeling better now. Forensic Science eh? Sounds really interesting, I kinda considered going into school for that once, but I changed my mind LOL
LE: Glad you won! :D, can you come and have that conversation with me now?
Bootsie: That's right, giving up is not allowed in here!
Ms.P. You are so productive, I am so jealous. I am sitting here looking at the piles of things that I need to pack up and I haven't managed to do any of it today. I always get my burst of energy in the evening though. Good luck to your mom tomorrow.
shasha: Yeah! I am a "forgetter" too, no wonder I don't lose as I think I should, but you are right, I am only sabotaging myself. Of course we like pictures here! so do post if you feel like it :)
jessicado: 20 lbs! :woohoo: on the panties! Congrats.
bigmid: I can't do the daily weigh in thing either. And the wii? I just ignore whatever it has to say about my weight now anyway, that thing is crazy and mean :P
FSA: Bet you can't wait for DH to come home. Are you going to be away for the long weekend?
Butterfly: No fast food til November? Sounds like a good plan to me. Actually, hopefully you won't even crave it by then anymore. The other day I was walking by a McD's and it smelled so disgusting. When in November is your bday? Mine's on the 24th :)
CanadianCutie:, layddi and slimmercindy: :welcome:
Did I get everyone? I hope so, if not, I apologize. OK, now to try and get some packing done.
Note to self: come to the thread earlier tomorrow so I don't have to spend an hour doing personals :)

Good evening ladies! I'm checking in and catching up tonight so that tomorrow I only have half as many personals to do! I'm one smart cookie huh? ;)
Bigmid~ looks like we must have posted at the same time! I'm an avid daily weigher--I know it's not for everyone, but it keeps me in line and now when I see a gain I know it's just par for the course and just a normal fluctuation. Now, back at the beginning of August I was singing a different tune during my 10 day stall out, but really, I knew it would start moving again. :) I'm a packrat too and need to do some serious purging! I did a big clean out at the beginning of the year and it felt soooo good! I really should do it again ASAP!!
NSM~ 'whassup homies!' We're totally hard core aren't we? ;) Oooh, a fancy little journaling station?! I don't have anything near as fancy--now I'm jealous of your future place to log your food! Ooh, you should totally get the P90X! The more the merrier! Man, I bet if we harass her enough, Delphi would jump on board too--you know she'd tear it up!!
Tummy~ Okay, call me crazy but when I read this: "I love getting the big 4L milk out, you get the best pump!" my crazed brain saw this: "I love getting the big 4L milk out, you get the breast pump!" :lol3: Guess that's what happens when you've spent as much time nursing babies as I have! ;) Okay, so now that I got that out of the way...Hahaha! Brain cooler! Now that's funny! "Honey...have you seen my cooler?" "Which one dear? The blue one or the red one?" "Neither--my brain cooler--have you seen it?" "Ohhhh, that one! Yup, I know exactly where it is!" Lastly, BRAVO to you hun! This is your last week of HIIT!!! Ya know what, now that I'm finished with it, that last week seems like a cake walk! That's the one I do on my HIIT days and I've added an interval. There's nothing like the feeling of completing it and thinking, 'well now that that's finished, it's time for my ST'ing!' instead of 'OMG, I am so glad that torture is over!!!!!' Have fun and do be sure to come here and sing your Eye of the Tiger for us k? :D
FSA~ Hey girlie! Glad your hubby will home tomorrow! So, what's on the agenda for you this weekend? Anything super fun and exciting? :D Here's some :dust: for you, since you were so generous with it!! :) If we don't see you before, have a wonderful weekend!!!
Mystical~ Oh I started out with walking for sure! I did the walking at a brisk pace and then jogging for the sprint intervals--there was no way in heck I was going to try to jog and sprint! I still don't! Now I keep my walking pace at about 4.0'ish and jog/run at 6.4-6.7 (it all depends on how I'm feeling). I figure I might restart the 8 week HIIT program with running after I get the C25K solidly under my belt--but for now, I'm just doing Week 8 (well, technically I do one more interval) on my HIIT days. Have fun, and remember, just do the best you can--if you can't run and sprint it doesn't matter, what matters is that you increase intensity. For some people that might mean going from a slow walk to a brisk one, just find what works for you! :)
shasha~ I'm looking forward to seeing some pics girlie!!! Heck yeah! Post 'em here!! :) Sorry it's still so stinkin' hot down there! Hope the air isn't too horrid for you either! I heard that it's pretty bad down in So. Cal. :( Hope you had a great workout tonight!
ButterflyDiva~ Mmmm, pizza! Amazingly, you'll be surprised how easy it is to quit fast food! Once you go without it for a while it's like you forget how much you used to like it. I balk at how fattening some of the stuff I used to eat is! I wouldn't set foot in a fast food joint if you paid me to! No way! And I never had that problem before. Truth be told I wasn't a huge fast food junkie or anything so that does play a part--but believe me, I've eaten more than my fair share! ;) Keep up the great work and you'll make that goal--I'm sure of it!! :)
CandianCutie~ :welcome: Jump right in and good luck!!!
dcapulet~ aww, good to hear! I sometimes worry that my tough love will be too tough! :) Glad to see you can take it! :D And congrats on those capris!!! Won't be long now before you need a whole new wardrobe!!! :carrot:
layddi~ It's never to late to join!!! :) :welcome: Good luck!
Slimmercindy~ and a big ol' :welcome: to you as well! Good luck!
Well girls, I think that it'll be another early night for me. I am just pooped! I went to bed at 9:00 last night (hence the lack of a nighttime post) and woke up at 5:00. I wish I could say I slept straight through, but alas, my lovely children don't think I need the sleep. ;)
I hope everyone had a great day! The weekend is almost here!!! Anyone have any big plans? We're sticking around here and doing some paint shopping and stuff--oooh, ahhh...;) I think I might just make a trip to Goodwill to donate some stuff--anyone care to give me a swift :kickbutt: to just get rid of the girls' clothes instead of trying to sell them all? Please?!?! :D And other than that I think we might try to go to an apple orchard and do some apple picking with the kids. Might have to try to organize a bbq with the ils too if we can, I dunno.
Okay, ladies, I need to get the boys to bed and then hit the hay myself! Have a wonderful night and I'll catch you chickies tomorrow!!! :)

Tummy I will try getting up earlier in the morning my walking buddy is traveling around the Good old USA and will be back I think in two weeks. Miss her...Jessica that is great 20 pounds in the last month :woohoo: go girl go! I am thinking of getting a yoga tape, a beginners type, for I know nothing about it but eveyone seems to enjoy it, that has done yoga. I love kick boxing though but not enough room in my house to kick box unless I do some rearranging, might just do that. I danced to the music today while I cleaned house , glad no one came in and caught me they would of had a good
laugh! I am fixing to go get the rest of my 45 minutes in, hope y'all have a wonderful Friday! Thanks girls for all the encouragement your wonderful!

Hey Ladies,
Thanks Newshinyme, Shrinking Girl, Tummy Girl, Shasha17a, and iDream.
And ice skating was amazing, Delphi! Also, I just love how it doesn't take too long when you start strength training to see a difference, even if that is like picking up a 2 year old who weighs 50 pounds and he feels lighter (personal experience, ;) ) or seeing you're new and improved chiseled self in the mirror.
:carrot: WTG on the running, Sandye. I can't wait until I'm in better shape to start running again. It's so freeing. :) I run outside and my favorite is fulling in the fall when most people are still in bed (about 6am.) It's refreshing since you're getting sweaty and the crisp air cools you down.
Shasha17a, of course we want to see pictures!
All righty, so I didn't update last night because I was just too exhausted. Very, Very busy day. Ice skating was so fun, but I need to start practicing regularly again since I was practically on the wall most of the time. Hopefully my soda withdrawls will lighten soon. Tomorrow I think I just need to force myself out of bed early, walk to the park, may be swing, walk around it a little bit, and walk back home. After taking some Tylenol to prevent any more horrible headaches. Other than that, I really haven't been eating OP, just because I've felt horrible, which has made me feel more horrible. Makes sense, doesn't it? But I have kept up with my exercise. :)
<3 'Night Ladies.

Happy Frrrrrrrrrrrriday Ladies :carrot:
Sandye ~ Friday challenges sound good to me, or whatever, or whenever. Anything that keeps me up and active...I'm all for it. So what cha thinking?
Tummy ~ Bat wings...erm..I'd rather have a batarang. So what's on the agenda for the weekend?
NSM ~ Ah a PC gamer ..eh? Really that's the best way to go. I can't do it though. It just seems a bit unnatural to play a shooter with a keyboard and mouse. I know how ya feel though, because it has robbed many hours of my life from me...and probably many, many more. ;)
Jessica ~ :congrat: on that twenty pounds.
MsP ~ I don't know how I forgot to mention that you look fanfreakintastic in your new picture. Wow..you just look great!
And :welcome: to the new comers...
Well, I'm off to eat and get both of my workouts in. Dang weight is doing the whole fluctuation thing again. It's weird how these humps to another decade are like that. You body gives you the decade, then taketh away, then giveth,...and then taketh away. It's enough to drive a sane person batty...good thing I am no where near sane...eh? ;) At any rate, the weekend is upon us and I have another Saturday as my day off...pretty neato actually. Well gotta run, I'll try to check in later.

I can't recall who asked, but mom's surgery is tomorrow (Friday). It should all go well.
What kind of surgery? My mom just had both knees replaced and is doing amazing!!! Hope all goes well for your mom!!!
jacque- I know this is a few days late, but I am diggin the new pic!
:thanks:
Jacque9999 Hope you are having a fantastic day! :flow2:
As for me today. I finally got some sleep can't believe it I slept 10 hours last night. I guess my body was just exhausted I guess I was close to :faint: LOL... I am feeling much better and hopefully I will be back on schedule.
:thanks: and your body must have been exhausted. Now maybe you will be caught up. I used to have such bad sleeping problems it drove me crazy!!!
My my my!!!
I turn my back for a few hours and this place has exploded!
I know what you mean!!! What a chatty bunch!!! I can't keep up!!

Good morning chickies, and HAPPY FRIDAY! On my way out the door, but just had to share. Since starting this journey on July 1 at 186, I made it to 175.8 on August 20. For two weeks I have been gaining and losing the same pound. Well, today, I am 175.0!:carrot: I'll be back for personals tonight. Have a great day!

Gooooooooooooooood Morning and Happy FRIDAY Ladies!!! :carrot: Woo hoo! The week is almost over! Oh I am soooo looking forward to the weekend!!! :D
Bootsie~ gotta love dancing while house cleaning!! :) Only ones who see me doing that are my girls and the only ask me to stop dancing once in a blue moon so I guess I'm not scarring them for life or anything yet. ;) Ah, now kickboxing is something I have yet to try. I did the Tae Bo thing a long time ago, but as far as a real kickboxing class -- haven't gotten a chance to try it. Maybe one of these days. Yoga has always intrigued me, but until I can figure out a way to squeeze it in without the kids--I doubt I'll try it. Somehow I don't think yoga is supposed to be interrupted 100 times and cause stress.
Molly~ oh Fall is definitely my favorite time of year and I am so excited that it's just around the corner! I'm really looking forward to doing some running in the crisp Fall air!! :) I'm getting all giddy just thinking about it!!! :D Sorry to hear your soda withdrawals are making you feel icky. Keep up the great work though, you'll get through it soon. Be sure to drink lots of water and try to stay OP throughout so you don't end up having to make up lost ground, kwim? Your walk through the park plan sounds lovely! Hope you were able to get it in!!! :)
Delphi~ Let's see, Friday Challenge...um...I dunno...purge and organize every room in the house maybe? Seriously, I feel so far behind! School started and everything went to pot. I need to just buckle down and get stuff done! Instead, I'm hanging out here spending an hour writing replies and then I'm off checking the other boards! Sheesh, healthy living sure has it's drawbacks huh? ;) Seriously though, I think I need to establish a little balance ya know? I love this group so much so I'm definitely not giving it up, but I need to quit checking in so often I think. :( We'll see. Okay, anyway, I'm with ya on the new decade stuff! I was up over a lb yesterday and thankfully all but .4 is gone today, but it seems to me that whenever I'm getting ready to enter a new decade my body likes to tease me with losses and gains. Whatever--I'll just keep fighting the good fight as you always say! ;) As for today--I will be tackling the new upstairs playroom. It was the boys bedroom so there's tons of stuff in there already and I need to organize everything! Not looking forward to it at all. Plus, the kitchen is a wreck and there's general tidying to do...ugh...
Jacque~ glad to hear your mom is doing so well! How's the vacation going?
Mom~ WOO HOO ON THE PANTIES!!!! :carrot: See? I TOLD you! I TOLD you you'd see a drop!!! 175!!! :cheer: Yee haw!!!! Now that's awesome!!!! I'm so happy for you and proud as all get out too!!! You have really done such a fantastic job of sticking it out through all the ups and downs last month! And all while exercising and eating healthy!!! You're awesome!!!!!
Oh, btw, for all you newbies--Latetothegame (LTTG) is my Mom!! :D
Okay girlies, well here it is, Friday! Whew! It's been a busy week and I'm really looking forward to a long weekend! We don't have any major plans, but a trip to Sears to buy paint is planned for tomorrow and then on Sunday we're hitting an apple orchard and Monday...I don't know, maybe a BBQ? A friend of mine is going to be in town for her hubby's HS reunion and we're supposed to meet up, but I haven't heard from her so I need to call her. I haven't seen her since right after Katrina when we headed our separate ways to different states. :( I'm super excited to see her! :)
I've gotten rid of almost all the weight I gained yesterday, just .4 to go to be at my ticker weight. I think I might just hold off on updating my tickers until it sticks for a couple of days from now on, I feel like lying or something. ;)
Alrighty girls, well, avoiding the playroom isn't going to get it organized is it? I guess I should suck it up and get to it. Sigh...I don't wanna! Delphi, I need you! Come over and :kickbutt: me into gear!!! Have a great day girls and don't forget to...
Drink Your Water!!!

Just a quick note to wish everyone a happy & safe holiday weekend. We'll be traveling to help my parents at a festival all weekend. Hopefully I'll be too busy to partake in the yummy fair style food goodies.
Oh, and back down a bit, 183.2! Wahoo!!! Haven't been to the low 180's in over a year. SO close to 170's ! Can't wait!

LTTG ~ :woohoo: on the panties girlfriend. Way to stick it out to. Our hard work does indeed pay dividends my dear. :carrot: Good job!
Sandye ~ Get your butt in gear and get that room clean. I bet you can't do it in under three hours...what ya say? Can ya do it..huh..huh? Get to it. Unfortunately, I have squat to do..house is tidy, finished all the laundry yesterday...and just mopped the floors...sooooo, can I come over and help you? ;) I hear ya on the boards. I was so active around the entire site, I finally had to narrow it down to just our two challenge threads. I was spending too much time on the site. You just have to find that balance sweetie.
Joci ~ Thanks dear...big plans for the weekend?
Nella ~ :congrat: on the loss sweetie.

Here you guys are!!! I was still posting over on the August one!!lol
Delphi: You made me laff the Decade be Giveth, the Decade be Taken away... the fluctuations frustrate me too. HOpe you get your workouts in and YAYYYY for you having a saturday off!!!
Jacque: You are just way to chipper that early in the morning!!lol
LatetotheGame: YAYYYY for ditching that final lb!! Enjoy your weekend!
iDream: I have already had over 30oz of water.. are you proud of me?lol I hope you get to do the Reunion! And BBQ sounds fun too! Good Job on getting back down to "almost" ticker weight! Enjoy your weekend.
Nella: Good job on being near the 170s! I am aiming for that also! Enjoy your long weekend!
Butterfly: Good Meal plan!! I should start doing that more. I keep it in my head.. .but it doesn't really keep me accountable as i can always "forget' the slipups. I hope you enjoy the weekend!
This weekend is filled with meetings for today and tomorrow with publisher, agent and marketing guys. They don't believe in holidays. Sunday I get to go sailing on my friend's new sailboat. UP the Niagara River!! WOOHOO...

Nella~ stay strong this weekend amid all the fair goodies!! Congrats on getting into the low 180's! That's fuel for the motivational fire for sure!
Delphi~ HECK YA you can come over!!! Want me to give you directions? 3 hours??? Uh...you haven't seen this room have you? It's 20X25 and filled to the brim with all the boys stuff, plus hundreds of books and an insane amount of toys! Thankfully this is the same room that I went through at the beginning of the summer, so it's more organized than before, but when we put the girls' playhouse together up there, things got taken out and left all over by the girls (and the boys too). Anyway, I need to not only clean/organize but re-arrange as well--better be worth some calories!! ;) So 3 hours...I'll see. Oh, in case you're wondering why I'm not doing it already--I'm just taking a break for my morning snack and I just finished cleaning the kitchen! ;)
ButterflyDiva~ yeah, I thought the same thing about chocolate and all things baked (I'm a huge baker and love, love, love that stuff!) but now, well, let's just say that there's a package of Hershey bars in my cabinet that have been there for months and I haven't so much as given them a thought (well, until I wrote this that is ;)) and I've baked a few batches of muffins and I've maybe had 2 out of dozens of muffins. You might surprise yourself girlie! Your menu sounds delish once again! Yummy!
Hotsplashes~ I AM proud of you! But, I've got in 64oz so come and catch me!!! ;) Sorry to hear your weekend won't be spent relaxing! Darn marketing guys!!! Have a great time on the new sailboat though, that sounds like fun!!!
Okay girls, got the kitchen clean and now my break is over! Time to get my butt moving before Delphi comes and beats me!!! (although I sure wouldn't mind a visit from her! :))

All you cleaning, organizing chickies are getting me motivated- my apartment is a disaster! I know I'll feel better when its clean, so this afternoon, that's my agenda. I'm supposed to take the day off of work today (because the last 2 weeks have been INSANE, long hours, working on the weekends... hence, the sty that is my apartment) but I am going in to meet with the bookkeeper and do some house cleaning there. Still, a short day, and a long weekend!
I plan to go shopping for a dress for my brother's wedding, which is in 2 weeks! Unfortunately, TOM came yesterday, and I feel really bloated and tired. I went up 5 pounds yesterday, from the morning to the evening, with my usual diet and all! I'm back down to normal this morning, but i'm not ready to sing "I Feel Pretty!" But keeping on plan, eating wise, and drinking lots of water.
OK, let the motivation begin!

pucedaisy ~ Hehe, my rendition of I Feel Pretty is super awesome I tell ya... Good luck with the cleaning to.
Sandye ~ You can do it love. Just think of all those calories you will be burning. Man I sure wish I could come over...that would be grrrrrrrreat! Alas, I am stuck in Mayberry and Elvis has left the building. Can't wait to hear how good you feel after you have finished it today. So chop chop dahhhhhhling!
hotsplashes ~ Have fun on the sailboat..that sounds exciting. I'm so envious! ;)
diva ~ Menu looks good today. ;)
Well, as for me, I'M SO BORED! Sandye and I have been doing these cleaning challenges for months, and I've just about cleaned and reorganized everything until there is literally nothing left to do..but repaint or remodel.. Oh well, I guess I'll just relax a little and if I can steal the TV..perhaps some DDR or RB.

Good morning everyone. Well TOM is in full force today. I woke up STARVING! I mean like really strong hunger pangs. Usually hunger pangs like this happen to me like an hour before lunch or in the late afternoon before dinner time. I never wake up this hungry. I needed some protein I decided so I switched my breakfast and lunch meals to accomodate that. I had my catfish and brown rice for breakfast and I will eat my fruit/yogurt/granola for lunch. I am feeling fat and happy now. I'm up a couple lbs but I think/hope that its because of TOM and the hotdogs I ate yesterday for lunch. I'm going to drink lots of water today. Its only 8:30am here and I have already had like 32oz. I was going to take pics last night but after we finished everything we had to get done for the day it was almost 9 and we were exhausted. I will get on it this weekend though. So now I'm just waiting for this work day to end as we are getting into the long weekend. One of my oldest friends is in town this weekend so that should be lots of fun. I'm going out tonight (girls night) with another one of my local friend's. I can't wait...its been a while. I will be back later for personals, hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday.

Morning!
It's going to be so much easier to catch up to 2 pages of posts. Yay!
I am determined to make today a productive one. Need to go stock up on veggies and do lots of packing. Hopefully I can clear out my living room enough to make space to do some sort of working out, it's kind of tough in a little one bedroom apt.
Sandye: Oh aren't you a smart cookie! My journaling station is still a fantasy in my head, hopefully I will actually make it happen. Oh, good luck with that playroom thing, sounds like a joy
MissMallee: So, did you make it to the park?
Delphi: Oh no! You'd better let the Darth Scale who's boss, maybe with a light saber? So what's the cleaning challenge for today?
LTTG: Woo hoo! :cheer:
Nella: Thanks, have a safe trip and take some :dust: with you!
hotsplashes:  Here we are, as crazy as ever!
ButterflyDiva: I am with Sandye. You can totally stop craving that stuff if you stay away from it long enough. It won't even taste good to you afterwards ;)
pucedaisy: There seems to be a thing with the board where Sandye and Delphi keep challenging each other to cleaning and organizing -specially on Fridays- and then some of us jump on it just for fun. So join right in. I don't even attempt to keep up with them 'cause those two are insane, but they sure motivate me :D
Shasha: Yeah, I am sure it's all water. TOM is the  I say. Just keep at it and you'll have a nice surprise at the end of it. Have fun with your friend and girl's night out.
Allrighty, all done and it wasn't even an hour :carrot: I guess I will go shower now and then get going with all the plans for the day. Catch ya later homies!

Morning,
I just closed rather than minimized my personals so here's the shorter, less witty version...
FSA - enjoy that dh of yours :)
Shasha - I don't know 290 to 247 sure sounds like a lot to me! And can't wait for those pictures, yeha! Enjoy your girlie time.
ButterflyDiva - Your very welcome, we are a great support and an intervetion squad when the need arises, anything to help.
Canadian Cuite - Welcome! It's so nice having another cutie from "up north" round here, we are slowly taking over, hehe.
Dcapulet - Your very welcome and glad those pants are falling off, involuntary nudity, awesome job!
Layddi - Welcome to the challenge, it's never too late. And for that labour day goal you can do it if you want it bad enough!
Slimmercindy - Welcome to you too, and onederland, awesome goal, look forward to celebrating that with you!
NSM - The more the merrier, I took before pics so I might just be able to convince you after I get all shredded out, LOL, ok back to reality, less giggly is more like it but it will be interesting to see the comparison anyway. And depending on how clueless my dh is I might have a cooler for sale pretty soon if anyone is interested?
Sandye - LOL, boobies boobies! Sorry sometimes when I think of my 15 months breastfeeding I just blurt that out. I can't imagine that 4x over, ouch! I did already offer it to NSM but I may have a slightly used cooler for sale soon if you need one ;) I'm really excited about being done something else, we should all get big exercise lists and just start checking off stuff we never thought we'd do, run for 30 minutes, run a 5k, finish a HIIT program and on and on. And I really was thinking that I would drop the HIIT once I finished and just stick to the running and the p90x but you know the more I think about it the more I might leave it and see how it goes. I have tons of energy right through all the workouts and I don't want to drop it just b/c. How nice to see an old friend, some nuch needed girl time I would imagine. you didn't have your girls weekend either, so enjoy yourself!
Bootsie - Variety is the spice o'life for sure. I'm a big fan of all those worlouts too and it keeps those muscles guessing!
Miss Mallee - Your very welcome. It makes you wonder all what garbage is in that soda cuz it sure is hard getting off it and you never hear of ppl having broccoli withdrawal. Good for you sticking it out!
Delphi - Well if I had a choice I'm in for the batmobile, dream big, right? But since it seems that I don't I'll take untoned tricep flab. But maybe batman himself, ahhh, that's the ticket! Ok so enough of my fantasy life (we've been playing too much arkham asylum, can you tell?) We're just doing the same old stuff we always do, sleep, eat, play with baby, workout, eat, reapeat. Dh is working for the next seven so we're in a weekday mode and yesterday was more the weekend round here. Do you guys have any big plans down there? Ok, so don't go removing walls or anything, lol, I can't wait for the day you post a picture of you with a slughammer.
LTTG - Well all be darned look at you! all 175 and stuff, congrats and way to stick it out, i'm super proud of you, that took some grit.
Nella - Congrats on the drop and enjoy yourself this weekend!
Hotsplashes - Yup for some of us long weekends are just a time when the stores aren't open on Monday. Enjoy that tiem on the river, how beautiful.
Pucedaisy - Yeha for the extra days off, it sure is nice when everythign is all tidy and such but it's a full time job on it's own. Enjoy looking awesome in that new dress, at least TOM will be long gone when you get to wear that fab new dress out and about.
We headed into town last night to do some grocery shopping for the week, does anyone else need five more crispers in their fridge? I'm shoving fruits and veggies everywhere. But we're all stocked up minus a few odds and ends that I will have to get closer to home.
We had a wicked storm last night, lost power all that jazz which continued right through till about 8am today. So I wasn't "allowed" to go running. DH said he would handcuff me to the bed if I tried, "insert naughty joke here." But with lightening I dont' venture out either. So I'm going to head downstairs to do HIIT today and do running tomorrow. I know Sandye I'm not supposed to do it two days in a row but I'm gonna anyway :p. It's still black as all get out around here, it looks like 10 at night but hopefully the worst is over.
Sort of stayed the same today 173.2. It was orignally 172.8 then right before I got off it went up a bit to the 173.2, so we'll call it even for today and see what tomorrow brings. Gotta run, later chickies.

Pucedaisy~ Ahhh, stupid TOM showing up right when you have to shop for dresses! Argh! Well, on the bright side, at least he'll be gone by the time your brother's wedding rolls around! Have fun cleaning--I know I am! NOT!!!
Delphi~ okay, so here's the deal: I went up there and decided to clean everything off the floor, put the books away and all the toys that were scattered everywhere and empty the room of things that don't belong there, oh and clean the closet too. Once I got that done I called it a day. The floor is pristine and everything is where it should be. That's not to say the room is finished--I need to reorganize it all, move furniture and find a new place for all the stuff on the desk that I'm going to smash to bits with a sledge hammer (the previous owner left it here and I loathe it!)--but I figured I could use hubby's and the boys' help since it's not MY stuff in there ya know? However, I can now walk by the room without feeling the urge to scream! ;) One of these days we're going to have to plan a meet up ya know! I would love to meet all the great girls in this group! Can you imagine what a blast that would be? The lot of us all holed up in a hotel chatting until the sun came up :blah: at which time you and I would bust out the bugles and wake everyone up for our work out!!! Yeah, that'd be cool!!!
Shasha~ aww, man, TOM is such a jerk! Sorry he's messing with your appetite! Good thinking eating more protein, that'll take care of those hungries!! Have a great time tonight and also visiting with your friend! WTG on that water girlie! You're makin' me proud!! :)
NSM~ Yo yo homegirl!! Who you callin' crazy yo? Me and my homie Delphi? Yeah, you got that right! Hahahaha! Oh I'm so gangsta aren't I? Good luck with the clearing out stuff! I am very lucky to have a basement for the treadmill otherwise it would be smack dab in the middle of the living room or play room! I seriously need to tackle the basement though--it's horrific! And to think it was all sparkly clean in January! Hmph! Oh well, I'll get it done even if Delphi does have to kick my but all the way!!! ;)
Well girls, I got the new play room as clean as I needed it to be to prevent me tossing every last thing out the window. ;) It's waaaaaaaaaaaay better than before. Saving all the heavy lifting for hubby and the organizing and purging to the boys since it is their stuff after all. Just finishing up my lunch now (my yummy pita pizza) and next I'll tackle some of the Goodwill stuff. Oh, and then there's laundry...always laundry.
Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

Tummy: Ewww! no thanks, Sandye can take it. :P
I definitely will want to see your post P90X pictures when you're done. I hear you on the 5 crispers. Sometimes that's what stops me from buying more, but I sure am proud of the contents of my fridge nowadays :D.
So DH wanted to handcuff you to the bed and you didn't let him? Tsk, tsk. Naughty things and lightning sounds kinda kinky LOL.
OK.. now I am going....

Tummy~ you snuck in on me! Hahaha, yeah, boobies, boobies! I tell ya, I thought nursing one was time consuming! When the girls came I was a 24/7 milk bar! And to think, I didn't lose weight during all of that? Dang Ben & Jerry's!!! ;) Oh I'm with ya on the list! I figure so long as there's these challenges I'll be changing things up and trying new stuff all the time! I'm still kind of shocked that I took on the C25K though--I really, really, really did not like running when I was young. I played soccer for 7 years and was center fullback and well, it didn't require much running. I could do it and all, but I didn't like it one bit. Now, for some reason it's different...could be the fact that I'm all alone and the only thing I hear is the music of my choice and the birds beginning to chirp first thing in the morning. :D Glad you stayed out of the storm, I'm curious to see how my workouts will change when the cold weather hits. I might just have to hit the community center and use the indoor track there. Oh and about the fridge--absolutely!! Hubby and I were just chatting about getting a second one for the garage! With 4 gallons of milk, 2 containers of coffee creamer, V8 Splash, various condiments, my stockpile of yogurt and sugar free pudding (my only vice I swear!), my container full of precooked chicken (I cook in bulk on the weekend), left overs and then all the veggies--I have zero room! So yeah, I'm thinking it's time to get a back up one--but just a little one for all of MY healthy food! ;)
OMGosh, I need to shut up!
Okay, off to place an order that is long overdue!!! :carrot:
Oh and thanks ever so much for offering your lovely cooler to me but, um, NO WAY!!!! Blech! :barf:

Ok, I'm starting on page 11 and seeing how far I get in the time I've got left in lunch. I feel like I'm missing out on so much!
First, let me gripe  TOM is definitely back and with it an actual increase in my weight, naturally, which wouldn't bother me had I lost anything at all in the past week but no, I'm just treading water here. GRRRR. Anyway, so long as I get a nice drop after it leaves, I'll be fine. Just don't be within 10 miles of me if there is no drop after TOM leaves. I'm sure it won't be pretty..
Tummy - Oh, if I manage to make the 20 minutes I will likely shout it from the rooftops while blasting Eye of the Tiger from my ipod. Tee Hee. And I had to laugh at the crispers comment... I know exactly what you mean. DH has been complaining he can't find HIS food for all the "fresh junk" in the fridge! Hilarious!
dcapulet - Isn't it great when your clothes start doing that? I have two pairs of capris I wear to work and the other day I realized I can't wear them anymore for fear of them actually falling down! yay for you and loose pants!
NSM - Thanks, it's hard for me to quit things that I've volunteered to do because I know it's hard to get people to volunteer but as an ex teacher once said to me "Just remember, after you retire, no one is going to raise a monument to you in front of the school." I totally think they should though!
idream - Ooh, I love visiting the apple orchard. It just always makes me smile to see everyone out and enjoying themselves. Good luck on the toy room. My organizational skills have been put on hold while I try to get ahead at work so I can breathe again. Until then, my house will be a disaster because DH gets lost when he tries to clean... it's like a foreign language or something, I swear.
Hotsplashes - Sailing! I'm jealous! have a fantastic time!
Delphi - I'm all for the remodeling! I expect to see a photo of you wielding a hammer very soon! ;)
Shasha - Sorry TOM is having his way with you but way to go on changing up your eating to accommodate... very wise. I also cannot wait to see your pics! I'm terribly excited, I love progress pics!!
Ok... I'm kind of caught up but I did skip a couple of posts! Speeeeeed typing! Have a great day chickies!

What the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the 2nd day where I spent like an hour typing out personals and then all of a sudden the page just refreshed itself out of nowhere and I lost everything! ARGH! I am so mad right now!
I am not going to go back and do everything again, but off the top of my head:
Delphi congrats on getting to the 170s!
Shasha, sorry TOM is here....hope it goes fast and pain free for you!
Welcome to the newcomers and good luck on reaching your goals. I did have more personal things written for each of you before...sorry!
Late to the game--congrats on getting past your plateau! Such an accomplishment to have stuck it through! :carrot:
Sorry everyone else...I did have more personals written, but I can't justify spending another hour to go back and look at everything again when DD is already getting really cranky that I have been online so long.
BTW what does Woohoo on the panties mean? I get that it is a positive thing, but haven't heard that term before. I thought at first when ShinyNewMe said it, it was a type and perhaps she meant pants or something, but then saw it used a bunch more times by other people, so now I think I am just out of the loop on this phrase.
Weight was down another few pounds today....what the heck! I mean I know I have been doing great diet wise, but still, wow--I never expected to lose this much! I thought maybe it might be because the new room has carpet and maybe that was throwing the Wii off, so I tried it in the hallway on the hard floor, but the difference was only a little bit. So yay me! I can finally fit into clothes I haven't been able to wear for over 2 years...so much fun!

Hoy crap, girls! It took me an hour and a half to READ all the posts. I won't have time for personals, but jessicado "wooHoo on the panties" is from the July or August thread when someone got sexy new panties and someone else congratualted them with "WooHoo on the panties!"...and so it began as the congratulatory remark for any great accomplishment. Ya gotta love it! LOL
Mom seems to be doing well after coming out of surgery, though it took an hour longer than planned. I'm hoping she recovers well because she really does not like to be inactive like she has to be at first. It was a shoulder surgery on her rotator cuff which had multiple tears. Anyway, otherwise the aday is going well: vitamin, OP eating, somewhat productive. It's my rest day, but I was debating if I should do something since tomorrow I won't have time for anything but moving and related driving. (We are moving out of our house and storing everything all in one day with 5 hour drives on either side of that.) Then I thought how much of a workout the moving will be and the wisest thing I can do today is REST UP because it's gonna be a strenous day. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! I'll be MIA for a few days, then catch up on Monday.
P.S. Thanks for all the sweet compliments on my avatar!

LOL jessicado. I just went back a couple of pages and we do use that woohoo on the panties thing quite a bit.
Like Ms. P. said, it all started when Sandye got new panties a while ago and we got all excited about it.
If you are ever bored you can go back and look for the original post, hehe. But now that you you know you can start using it yourself :D
Ms. P.: Glad to hear your mom came out of surgery alright, here's to a speedy recovery for her. Good luck tomorrow with the move, hope you don't end up too exhausted after that.

MsP ~ Glad to hear mom is out of surgery and everything went well. That is a blessing indeed.
Jessica ~ Yeah, MsP explained it pretty well. It was an innocent remark NSM made and I just thought it was the funniest thing ever.....
Shrinking ~ Haha! I'll be sure to get one up soon. And sorry to hear about TOM...he is a big pain in the arse! Hope you get to feeling better and he gets the heck out of dodge.
Sandye ~ :woohoo: on the panties! See I knew you could do it! You are my sunshine, on a cloudy day...when it's cold outside...... Well at least you did it and we can work on the rest of that stuff a little at time ya know. Like one Friday you can do just the furniture...so on and so forth every other Friday. That way it doesn't seem like such a huge task, if you breakdown said tasks..eh? See, I's got me some smarts in here somewhere. And  at your gansta talk...ROFL!
Tummy ~ Ah I'm so jealous. Everyone just loves that game. It's on my christmas list..along with that new ghostbusters game. ;) Don't you hate when you hit the close button on accident? I've done that more times than I count...No big plans here...same ol' two and four with us. I've been getting up early to play Halo Wars on Saturday mornings (hence me taking Saturdays off this month) so I'll do that, but the rest of the weekend will be spent watching movies on Netflixs I suppose.
NSM ~ None for me..just me eggin' Sandye on. I don't have anything left to clean. :( Though if I didn't rent here and I owned it...I'd be tearing down walls left and right. So how goes the calorie counting?
Shasha ~ Hang in there darling..hopefully TOM will be gone soon.
As for me, I've not been at all productive...just finished up a few more hours of RB while the wee one was sleeping..but other than that..nodda. It's so good to get those workouts in early..because then I don't feel so bad for being lazy the rest of the day.

 girls!
Just dropping in to say hello! I still don't have my internet. My cell is off, the rent's past due, yada, yada. Same old. The VA has a freeze on hiring so there is no hope of another position or fulltime till October. So I applied for partial unemployment. Let's hope that goes through. Bit of good news, my BFF found out that she's having a little boy! His name will be Nicholas Alexander, Nicholas being the male version of Nikki (BFF) and Alexander being one of my favorite names of all time. All we know so far is that he's going to have a big head and likes flipping off the nurse when they do ultrasounds.
The thread is exploding, as always!
:welcome: to all our newbies!
I'll probably be posting sparsely but my goal for this month is 10 lbs. I also have an exercise goal of 1400 mins.
I'll post when I can. Love ya lots! :grouphug:

Hi Girls!
The scale finally moved a little, down a .6 from yesterday.
Been pretty busy today with school and all so just now getting a chance to post and catch up on the thread. I haven't got my exercise in yet but plan on it soon. I bought a new exercise outfit last night so when I came home I exercised just so I could wear it lol! I've been wanting all day to get in there and do my workout, but just couldn't get get away from the kids.
The kids and I may be making sugar cookies tonight to decorate. I've been telling them for ages that we would do it. I need willpower to only eat two!! I plan on allotting out so many a person and then freezing the rest, hopefully that works.
Craving some beef, too. I've been out of ground beef for awhile and normally I use it fairly often. We don't buy the nasty fatty stuff though. We usually get a lean hunk of meat ground up or we get a whole or half of beef that has not been fed hormones, antibiotics, and is pasture fed. We also eat ground venison and goat too. I'm not sure what I want to make with it tonight (dh is picking up some on his way home) but I'm thinking something easy like hamburgers with lots of veges on the side.
DH is home now so catch yall later!

Evening ladies,
NSM - you know if I let him do it once I'd never get out of there and there's just so much to be done!
Sandye - Dh's grandma had twins and she always said that's why god gave her two, lol. I never found breastfeeding to do anything either, a myth I say! I only liked running alone, even younger (and fitter) just for those reasons. I only ever was fairly good at it once and it's one of those things you forget inside a chip bag I guess. I'm kind of dreading the winter too, dh has some gear for running in -20 to -30 and some of it fits already and the rest hopefully by the time I need it. I'll need some mittens too and one of those hats that bankrobbers wear then I'm set! I'll have to post a pic of me all frosty too, it'll be hilarious.
SG - my dh says "where's my pop, your hippie food is in the way" they do sure have a way, don't they?
Jessicado - congrats on the weight again, you're obviously working hard, WTG!
MsP - That sounds like one long day ahead. It sure will be nice to have it all taken care of though, and lift with your legs girl. Glad your mom's out and doing good.
Delphi - So you're cheating on us with Halo! LOL well you have fun and I won't taunt you with Batman, promise :)
JasonsLea - Hope the job comes through for you and great news about your friend, it's so exciting to be a part of that.
Ruth - Glad the scale budged for you, and enjoy your dinner! I do enjoy some grass fed beef, it tastes so different too, I never would have guessed that.
Finally finished a very wet day around here. DD would not go to bed tonight, it took half an hour of putting her back constantly for her to stay. SHe's usually all love you mommy night see you tomorrow and then demon girl arrived all trying to bite and hit. Hopefully we will not be seeing that again, but I have a feeling we just might. I'm going to go hit the sack and wake up at the crack of dawn to go get that run in I missed today. See everyone tomorrow.

Jacque~ glad to hear your mom is doing so well! How's the vacation going?
Thanks...yesterday was tough day for her as it was the first day she got out of the house. Just for a doc appt and then she had to go for an ultra sound to have her legs checked for blood clots. All is good. I wouldn't really call this a vacay, however I did get one day where I was outside by her pool for most of the day. I leave in a few hours for a busy weekend at home.
Joci ~ Thanks dear...big plans for the weekend?
I am leaving mom's in a few hours and will be home around 4:30. I have to stop by a friends house who has out of town relatives in that I want to see. Tomorrow I hope to go to my friends boat and trailer on the river with my son for a few hours....then back home to a cookout with my BF. Monday will be catch up day since I have been away for a week. Then back to the normal routine....which I am so looking forward to since I have been out of sorts for WEEKS.
Don't know how long ago you changed your avatar...but I LOVE IT!!! You look great!!!
Good morning everyone. Well TOM is in full force today. I woke up STARVING!
I hate that SOB!!!! But remember he will leave eventually :)

Glad you popped in to say . Good luck with the unemployment....and you goals for the month.

Goooooooooooood Morning Ladies!!!!! :carrot:
SG~ SEE?! I TOLD you you could do it!!! :cheer: WOO HOO on the panties!!!!! :carrot::broc::carrot: So, how many neighbors did you wake up? :D Oh my hubby is the same way with cleaning! I swear, whenever he has to tackle something big like the garage or shed he just stands there with his hands on his hips staring at it all. He'll do that for a good hour if I let him but I don't--I get in there and stark huckin' stuff out of the way and throwing stuff away--that gets him movin' alright! ;)
Jessica~ I keep forgetting that there are some that don't know the story behind 'woo hoo on the panties' I see it's been covered, but just wanted to add--I was the one who posted about the new panties! See, we get all excited over any little victory! :) Speaking of which Woo Hoo on the panties for the great loss!!!! :carrot:
MsP~ Haha, sexy they are not--just plain cotton Hanes--I'm not ready to hit Victoria's Secret just yet ;) Glad to hear your mom is doing well! By the sound of it, she won't be down for long--just remind her to take it easy and not rush the healing! Speaking of which, take it easy today girlie! I mean, don't go and get yourself hurt or anything moving all that stuff! We can't have our girl out with an injury now can we? Have a great weekend!
NSM~ it still makes me laugh just thing about how woo hoo on the panties got started! Ya know, I think I might just have to go back through the posts and re-read some of them, they were quite comical!
Delphi~ Yeah, I'm glad I at least got the room tidy again, but of course the girls got in there and now there are legos all over. Oh well, that's easy enough to fix. My plan for this weekend is to get all the toys from the old downstairs play room up there and then start prepping the old play room for it's transformation into a formal dining room (which is what it's supposed to be). However, it's a really small room, so I'm not even sure if our table will fit in there! How they can call it a dining room is beyond me. But anyway, it needs to be painted and when we start to replace the carpet with laminate that's where we'll be starting. Well, when we have the money that is. ;) Hope you're having a wonderful day off chickie!!!
JasonsLea~ sorry to hear about the job situation! I hope that you land a job soon and that things start looking up with all that! Congrats to your friend! New babies are so exciting--so long as it's not me having them from here on out! ;) Take care and post when you can! Good luck on your goal this month!!!
Ruth~ congrats on the loss!! Hope you survived the sugar cookie extravaganza! Mmm, I'm already looking forward to Christmas baking! Oops, maybe a little too much! ;) We might be buying a side of beef from my il's neighbor's parent's farm -- did I lose ya there? -- it should be interesting to see where we'll keep it and how different it will taste, but I'm looking forward to adding lean beef back into my diet that's for sure.
Tummy~ yeah, the initial thought of nursing 2 was kind of exhausting at first, but ya know, ya just roll with the punches and you figure it out. I loved nursing my babies, but I gotta say, it sure is nice to have my boobs to myself again! ;) Winter might just drive me inside--however, I'll stick it out as long as I can. Once I start wanting to hibernate in bed I'll know it's time to hit the community center or the treadmill. Congrats on finishing your HIIT girlie!!! :celebrate: Was that you I heard singing yesterday? :D
Jacque~ glad to hear all is well with your mom, hurray for no blood clots! Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead, I hope you have tons of fun!!! :)
Well ladies, it's Saturday!!! You know what that means don't you? Yup, I had my C25K run today! And, like ShrinkingGirl, I COMPLETED MY 20 MINUTE RUN!! :carrot: I didn't listen to the regular podcast this time though, I decided since I didn't need any cues today that I would listen to my own tunes--glad I did, the techno stuff is kind of getting a bit stale--but I did kind of miss Robert talking to me. ;)
Another happy moment this morning--down a full pound from yesterday so that brings me to below my ticker!!! 141.4 This time I'm leaving my ticker alone though--I don't want to jinx it by changing it prematurely! ;)
Oh, oh and I ordered the P90X yesterday!!!! I was going to order it from this weird website I'd heard about, but for some reason the site wasn't working so I hit eBay and found it brand new--complete with guides for $59--free shipping too!! So I hope to have it soon so I can tone up for real!
Speaking of which--anyone finding that they're a little less firm now that they've lost some weight? My back end looks all droopy and sad! Granted, I haven't really been working the ol' hiney all that much, but geez! I'm hoping it firms back up otherwise I may just need a full body lift when I'm done!
Well girls, I've :blah: enough. Hope everyone has a fantastic day!! Get out there and be good to yourselves!!! And of course, don't forget to...
Drink Your Water!!!

Mornign Ladies,
Jacque - have a safe trip home and enjoy your long weekend, sounds like a nice time.
SG This one's for you...
Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger
Congrats!!!
Sandye - You ran 20 minutes!! You're awesome! You can have some song too :) It sure was me, singing and dancing and carrying on. One good thing about HIIT two days in a row is getting two days off running so today it was super easy to run (hehe so I went farther:devil:) Heck I kinda wanted to hibernate in bed today, but it will definitely be an adventure, I more worry about the dark, firstly, like you, I am scared of the boogie man, second, in winter we get daylight from 10a-3p and that's it so I would rather not get plowed by a car too. The only option in these parts would be a treadmill and I'm not sure if I want to spend my new waredrobe money on it, yet. I'm sure that old rear end will perk up in no time, mine's good, at least I think so...yup, just checked it's fine, but my lower abs are looking a bit unfortunate these days. I do have thirty pounds on you though so maybe when I'm down in that neck of the woods it won't be so perky :( but I'll be skinny :) Have a great day hun, TTL
A marvelous day this morning, the exact opposite of yesterday although the road was a bit soggy today for running. I had energy to burn this morning, not sure where it came from but ran for an extra 4 minutes today, just because I wanted to and there is this stop sign that I just had to get past. Today's the final day of p90x week 1 as well, just some kickboxing this afternoon and then rest day ahhhh. Oh I hear my darling getting up better run.

Wow everyone has been doing and accomplishing so much...that's awesome. Sorry I don't do everything on a one to one maybe as I get better with the forums I will do personals but for now I read them all and celebrate your success with you and will report some of mine when I have them. Congrats to you all it's amazing to me how busy some of you are and yet still have time for the exercising and the personals.. wow I'm lazy:) Nothing new to report I have been OP and getting in my exercise everyday and weigh in is tomorrow and so is TOM so we will see.

Okay...here is hoping I don't lose personals 3rd day in a row....I am going to keep copying everything I am writing periodically, lol.
Thanks everyone for filling me on the "woohoo on the panties". I figured it had to be something I missed, but I like it!
Ruth mmmmmm--fresh baked cookies! It is always so much harder for me to resist cookies when you can smell them actually baking. Way to go for planning it out beforehand!
Sandye and Tummy--yup I've been bf dd now for 2 yrs and 3 ms (she is still going strong. I was going to wean her, but now with the separation I am going to wait a bit so she can adjust to all the moving, etc), and anyways, it didn't help me lose a pound. Myth too in my book!
Jasonlea--good luck with the unemployment and getting caught up on things!
SG and Sandye--WAY TO GO!!! You both kick ars! :carrot: That is awesome! I can't wait to get to a treadmill and get started, although I am sure it is going to be a darn long time before I am doing any full 20 mins.....
Sandye--hope that pound stays! Changing your ticker is always so satisfying!
Tummy --wtg on running the extra 4! Man you gals are motivating!
Well, it was actually fairly short to catch up on personals today...where did everyone go?!
Scale was down ANOTHER 1.5 pounds today! The only major difference I have made is I have been eating buckwheat and blackbeans everyday this past week, along with the normal fruit, veggies, steel cut or Irish oatmeal, etc, and apparently my body really likes the addition of the buckwheat or something! I have actually been eating a little more lately, but for some reason for the past few days I can actually feel my tummy working alot lately. (I don't know if that makes sense, but I am just aware of like this kind of satisfying working feeling in my stomach). I can't believe how the weight is falling off this past week, but I don't expect it to last for much longer. Anyways though, the scale is below 262! I am probably going to reach my goal of being in the 250s much earlier than expected at this rate!
Trying some new workout videos and did 30 day shred for the first time yesterday. All these squats and lunges in all these videos are making my legs hurt the next day, lol. Can't do C25K on all these hills at the new house, so am walking up the hills and running down them. Not quite the same I know, but as I can;t run up hills yet, it will have to work until the Y opens up next week and I can get a membership there and attempt to continue on the treadmill.

Good evening ladies! This is going to be a super fast drive by post to report that I've tried another new recipe and it was AWESOME!!!!
Ruth~ remember the butternut squash lasagna I mentioned from Cooking Light? You GOTTA try it! It's time consuming to make (especially since you make the sauce from scratch too and well, I think anything over 20 mins it time consuming ;)) but soooo worth it!
If anyone wants the recipe just got to CookingLight.com and search for butternut squash lasagna or butternut squash recipes and you'll find it--it's soooo good! And my meat loving hubby even went back for 2nds!!!! MMMMM YUMMY!!!
Okay, I'll be back for personals tonight--hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!!! :)

Hey Ladies,
All righty, let's see how much I can squeeze in before my nephews get here. Even if they live like 2 hours away.
Yes, fall is amazing, Sandye, but I'm just as much a fan of summer. Then again, my birthday is in early August and it never rains on it, luckily for me since I live in Washington. It always seems to get cloudy for my best friend's birthday though. XD And I'm feeling much better, thank you (due to water, and some times with frozen lemon slices.)
I hope you have fun this weekend, Nella! And congrats on the weight loss!
I did make it to the park, Newshinyme. I loved it. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk there and I spent a half an hour just swinging. Very peaceful when there's literally no one there. I had to walk up a mean hill on my way home, get work out, but man, I just had to shower when I go home.
XD Broccoli Withdrawal? Tummy Girl, I love that. I'll have to remember that one. And as for crispers, yes. One of mine is way too cold (everything freezes) so that's for drinks, which leave me with one. We often are pushing things in every little place we can!
Jessicado22, congrats on the weight loss! Perhaps in the beginning it was water weight and now the fat is just falling off? It's like it's jumping ship! Or you're making it walk off the plank. ;)
I'm glad your mother is doing well, Ms Perception! I hope her recovery is better than expected. I know how hard it is, but I assume she's going to have physical therapy? You will be so sore after moving. Rest is the best. :)
Shrinking Girl and Sandye, :congrat: on the 20 minutes run!!
So, yesterday I ended up getting up a little later than I wanted, which is fine because I think my goal time for getting up was a little too early for my current sleeping schedule. But I am getting make on track with the low dose muscle relaxer I must take before I go to bed. Who would have thought I'd be grateful for a medication that makes you drowsy?
Anyways, the park was amazing. Very relaxing. I took a route there that passes by my old house, which is very weird to reminisce. The park was relaxing, until I had to walk up the mean hill on my way home. I should have brought my inhaler! It wasn't too bad, but enough that I was mentally kicking myself in the butt.
I haven't been OP completely this last week, but I haven't been as bad as I used to eat. This week will be better. And tomorrow is the no coke day, I've been slowly stopping drinking the stuff since the withdrawals are so bad. I steal small sips from my mother. ;) Today I had volunteering in the morning and then I crashed when I go home since I was on my feet for practically 4 hours with only 6 hours of sleep since my best friend spent the night. I didn't exercise today, but there is tomorrow.
And now, I am so glad I am caught up, but now I must leave. I have 2/4 of my kitties laying on my feet desperately seeking their loves (and one's getting viscous.)

Evening Ladies
Bigmid - nothing new to report minus the fact that you're doing fabulous! Congrats on doing all those awesome things for yourself. And it does take some getting used to on the forums but don't feel you have to, I like doing it and if you don't then just let us know how it's going :)
Jessicado - Thanks you're a sweetie and you too my dear are endlessly inspiring so don't forget that!
Sandye - I better get that one right away, tonight was a flop at my place, dh didn't know what to think, I loved it and dd ate most of it but she helped make it and that is always a sure fire way to get her to eat it. But dh will eat anything and he was not impressed. I better try and rescue tomorrow's dinner with something delightful or he's gonna disown me.
Bootsie - Were you golfing in the rain?
Miss Mallee - LOL on the kittens, my daughter does that. I have to give credit to my mom for the broccoli she always said that things that are good for you don't cause withdrawal when you stop them only bad things do that. I believe it was in the no smoking/drinking lecture. Oh well at least I listened to part of what she said  Are you going cold turkey with the soda on Monday? Should we evacuate a 10 mile radius around you? Let us know we're here to help ;)
Delphi - Hope you had success against the covenant today and kicked some guys butts too, show em what a girl can do ;)
Dh's is working nights so I'm going to go enjoy a good book about nutrition then hit the hay, ahh the life of a RCMP wife. Actually it was kind of funny today, he went to leave for work and the patrol car had a flat tire. I don't know, this struck me as hilarious, we took pictures of him changing the tire in full uniform. Another officier even came over to help, it was priceless.
Tomorrow is a delightful rest day and let the old body heal up a bit, I'm feeling a little rickety after my first week of p90x so it will be nice to do nothing. Hope everyone is having a more eventful long weekend than I, TTFN.

Hi Girls! I don't have time to catch up on all the posts right now, will try to tomorrow night. But I'm excited the scale was down again today (Saturday) a .6! The cookies from last night didn't do me in. I didn't get to exercise today like I wanted but I got hours of walking in at the huge flea market that we have in Louisville about once a month. We haven't been to it in a looooong time so we had a good time.
Have a great Sunday chickies!

Good morning ladies, hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. We have been been so busy this weekend with trying to get all the shopping completed for my boys to start school this next week and my DH took me out for a day of shopping for my birthday. I had lots of fun, he bought me lots of new items for my scrapbooking so I will be able to get all the old pictures into my books now yeah!.
As for eating we did go out to eat one night and instead of having the usual big cake at home I decided this year just to buy a single serving for each of us at the local bakery at least that way we are still having cake without going overboard or at least me going overboard LOL... I don't know what we will be having for my birthday dinner DH is cooking. I am thinking it will be something on the grill with some side dishes of veggies but not sure. Hope everyone has a great holiday... Kind of funny I told DH I guess this year I'm the holiday hahaha...

Good Morning Ladies!!
Tummy~ I almost posted the lyrics too!!! Great minds think alike huh? ;) So what was it that you made that hubby didn't like? I can't imagine that it could have been all that bad if your dd ate it! I didn't even bother trying to feed the kids the lasagna, 2/4 of them don't like regular lasagna so I wasn't about to waste any of it's yummy goodness on them! ;) Haha! Ooh that makes me sound so mean!! I think I'm going to get new resistance bands after all, I don't want to have to be concentrating on holding the straps and not letting them slip while trying to do a wicked hard workout! ;) What kind do you have? I saw some online at Target that look cool.
Bigmid~ don't fret about not doing personals, we don't mind! :) Like I said before, just pop in whenever you can and share your victories or ask for help--that's the kind of stuff we live for! :D Glad to hear you're staying OP!! WTG! Keep up the great work!
Jessica~ where are you? Are you still here? I can barely see you...you're melting away girlie!! Seriously though, congrats on the crazy losses this week!! :carrot: You're doing awesome!!! WTG with the extended nursing too! I think the longest I went was around 18 mos--might have been a little longer with one of the girls, truth be told I can't remember (there's that mommy brain again). I do know that I'm so thankful that all of my kids were able to nurse and that I produced enough (MORE than enough!) for all of them. :) Hurray for boobies!!! Hope you're enjoying the 30DS, I personally just couldn't get into it--maybe Jillian and I just clash or something. ;)
ButterflyDiva~ another yummy sounding menu! I love reading what you eat--gives me ideas for my own menu! :)
Bootsie~ oh you must check out that recipe!! It was so dang good!! I can't wait to eat the leftovers! WTG dancing in the rain!! And pushing that golf cart--that had to burn some calories!!! :carrot:
Molly~ Summer used to be one of my least favorite seasons--until I moved here. :) CA summers in the valley suck eggs--100+, dead dry grass everywhere, Spare the Air days every other day or daily (that's when they declare the air unhealthy and advice people not to go outside)--blech!! Here we have green grass everywhere, lightning bugs, and this Summer was crazy mild (except the week my mom came to visit :(), but usually it stays in the upper 80's low 90's and while there's some humidity, it's not awful. So now Summer isn't on my Most Hated Season list anymore ;). Good luck tomorrow--you can do it! Coke is not the boss of you! You just remember why you're quitting that stuff!! We're here for ya if you need us!!! :)
Ruth~ congrats on the loss girlie!!! Oh a huge flea market!! I love those things! The kids don't so much so we tend not to go to them. :( One of these days I want to hit the giant one that happens in OH (I see it advertised every year in the Midwest Mag) and go it alone! :D Ahhh, that would be awesome!!! :carrot: Not sure if you saw it, but I tried that butternut squash lasagna--it's to die for!!!! Ya gotta try it out! :)
Mystical~ so, wait a sec, did we miss your Birthday? Was it yesterday or is it today? Because I don't want to miss out on wishing you a Happy Birthday! Heck I'm just going to say it just in case,:celebrate: :bday2you: :celebrate: :D Sounds like you had a great day yesterday! Hope your Birthday dinner was super yummy!!!
Well yesterday was a whirlwind! I was running around all day then the lasagna making extravaganza--man those things take a long time to make! Whew!
We were supposed to go to the apple orchard today, but it looks like it's going to rain all day so we had to cancel it. It works out though, I need to clean the house before my friend and her hubby come over. Oh I can't wait to see her!!!!!!!!! :carrot:
Up .2 from yesterday (glad I didn't change my ticker ;)) and down 1.25" for the week. I do believe things are starting to slow down for me--which doesn't bug me as much as I thought it would. I sort of expect it since I'm on the cusp of a new decade. ;)
No exercise for me today--other than power cleaning the house--and I got to sleep in until 7:00!! :broc: That was nice!
Well ladies, I better get going, the house isn't going to clean itself and hubby certainly isn't going to do it without some encouragement...so I better go get my cattle prod and encourage him a bit!
Have a wonderful day girls and don't forget to...
Drink Your Water!!!

Mornin' Ladies...
Whew, yesterday was one LONG day. It started so early with our Halo Wars marathon and didn't end until five that evening. Talk about being exhausted. I usually don't like an RTS, and there are plenty reasons why, but your mind can feel like jello after such a long stint. Needless to say, my burn yesterday was horrible...don't expend many calories saving the free world apparently. ;)
Well the scale is still doing crazy stuff...think it's time to replace the battery. It comes on, then shuts off..or the numbers are half jumbled. So I have no idea...Just gonna keep fighting the good fight and get a new scale when I go out next week. I've been wanting one with a fat percentage thing on it anyways.
Well you ladies have a great day. This long weekend for us in the states is a much needed break...or at least for me it is.

Well hello there chickies!!
Yesterday was a fantastic day, nothing much could kill my mood after completing that 20 minute run and I'll tell ya, I looked at week 6 and I'm not even worried about monday and wednesday's runs. Hoo! Don't talk to me about that 25 minute run though. I'm still a chicken at heart I guess!
I'm running into a bit of a conundrum time-wise. I want to spend the entire day working on work stuff but my house is a bit of a disaster area so I want to clean as well. Not to mention I got one of those new steam cleaning thingies and I really want to try it out. But, I guess work comes first and I'll do a bit here and there on the house.
I did see 213.8 this morning and so I have hopes that TOM is on his way out after our third affair in 6 weeks. I'm hoping for a bit more of a loss than that after he leaves but we'll see.
idream - Way to go you! Big scary 20 minutes down... only 10 minutes left to make it, I think we could go all the way! Your story about your DH and cleaning the garage had me in stitches, it's the same way here only my DH won't let me throw stuff out since he's a pack rat and so sometimes I sneak out there while he's at work and clean a bit...and he always notices when he comes home but he can't quite figure out what I've thrown out.. teehee. Oooh I hope you like the p90x!!
Tummy - Thank you! Thank you! I'm still in awe that I did it! Hooo! Running in the dark is scary for sure! I'm always on edge in the morning and I end up running in a fairly remote part of town and not only am I scared of the boogy man but also random kidnappers and murderers that I'm sure are lurking in the cornfield. My imagination gets away from me sometimes but boy is it motivating to move!
Bigmid - Don't worry about personals, it's something you ease into... kind of like the exercise. When I first started I really didn't do much at all but I keep adding a bit more here and there as time progresses and it's usually because I WANT to...so you never know... you could find yourself wanting to do a bit more at a time. It's all a progression, ya know?
jessicado - You sound just like me when I started, I wondered how on earth i could ever run for 20 minutes....and I'm telling you, it's always been challenging but not impossible. I may have wanted to stop a lot yesterday, but I never HAD to stop, so I didn't! You can do it! Congrats on the weight loss, that's fantastic!
Molly - Caffeine withdrawal is horrible. I slowly weaned myself off a long time ago and now just have an occasional cup of coffee on the weekends which usually makes me jittery. And man do I love kittens, aren't they just the best? Crazy little beasts!
Delphi, Mystical, ruth and everyone else... HIYA

Good Morning Ladies,
I will have to make this quick before I run out the door to church!
I've never looked at it that way,Tummy Girl! I'll have to remember that one. :) Hahaha. Yeah. I'm going cold turkey, but if worst come to worst I have my mini diet 7 ups left. I don't think an evacuation will be needed, I will have to keep myself busy though. ;)
This summer has been crazy here, Sandye. This is Washington State and it got to 102 degrees. I live close to Seattle. It was horrible! Not to mention our air conditioners are broken. And thank you, I'm going to need it. It's started back to Washington weather; rain. I am just going to have to walk in the rain. I hope it doesn't pour today.
I love kittens. :) Then again, I love animals, Shrinking Girl. ;) I have 4 kitties and 3 foster (senior) doggies. Yes, I have a full house. I used to be completely weaned off caffeine, but this summer has been horrible for me; boredom wise. When I have caffeine, I'm up all night.
All righty, well, I've just eaten my breakfast and had some time on my hands. I'm waiting for my grandmother to call. It is raining outside, I just hope it lightens up for when I decide to go for a walk. I might just have to use this exercise machine my grandmother gave me; though it squeaks. Anyways, I'll hopefully be on later tonight.
<3 Ladies.

Morning Ladies,
Ruth - oh a flea market, I do love those! Hope you found lots of little treasures and congrats on the weight loss too!
Mystical - Happy early birthday chickie, sounds like you figured your way around those situations with no issues, good for you! Do your boys start on Tueday? It's funny how it's different all over the place.
Sandye - I have the Bali ones from Wal-mart but they but I won't advise those ones since they just broke though. I'm going to find a way to use them without one handle until next weekend when we head into edmonton and I can pick up a new pair. Also, I don't think they were enough resistance so I had to keep backing up until finally pop! I'm going to go to a fitness store and look for some heavy duty ones. It was just three bean, avocado and charred corn salad w/lime dressing! Honestly, what could be wrond with that? However the three beans were, green beans, chick peas and black beans, hehehe. See my daughter loves chick peas and for some reason when I was looking at the recipe I didn't notice them in it and dh does not like them. I even added toasted tortilla wraps in there to make it crunchy but still no dice. My daughter eats a lot of really crazy things, I'm actually pretty proud of her palate these days, can't say that about her dad though.
Delphi - Well I hope you had a blast, my eyes go all weird after a whole day, I like the idea of mind jello though, that's just about right, lol. It's a long weekend up here too, i think you guys copied us :p I want to know how you like that new scale too.
SG - Your very welcome my dear, it's a pretty awesoem accomplishment, i just had to sing for you ladies :encore: It is truly one of the best feelings to do something we never thought wecould, it opens our minds to all the other things that we think we can't, b/c maybe we can! And I'm waiting for animals to come out of the bush and eat me, that's my crazy boogie man. Maybe wolves or coyotes or something, they're gonna get me and I just run!!! Enjoy your "day off," the work of teachers is never done, my goodness, a dear friend of mine is one as well and it never ceases to amaze me how hard she works too.
Miss Mallee - Have a wonderful time at church and wow is that ever a lot of animals! I love the foster dogs, that's great, do you take them from a humane society?
Wow, what to do on my day off, I don't even know, I might just venture into my basement storage area and start going through some things, we are hording items of no particular value and it's about time to purge. Not to mention we're not really unpacked from moving in February.
Down another 0.6 today to 172.6, getting closer to those 160's, can't wait. I've been toying with the idea of doing a month of whole-food vegetarian just to try it out but my poor dh is kind of having a freak out about it. I was still planning on cooking meat and such for him but he's not taking this well. And the funny thing is I haven't eaten any meat in about a week, which he hasn't noticed and it only bothered him when I said something. Ah well he'll come around, eventually, once he sees his life isn't going to be that different.

wow...there isn't even a full page since my last post yesterday. People must be off having fun weekends!
Sandye--that lasagna sounds awesome! I may have to try it one of these days when I have extra time on my hands! You are so close to your ultimate goal..that must be so exciting! And man, I cant even imagine 7:00am being the day you get to sleep in.....I would die! I love sleeping in, lol.
Bootsie--I have never heard anyone so happy their golf cart died, lol. Glad to know I am not the only one who loves the rain!
Miss Mallee -- Good luck on your no coke day! Hope you don't have any withdrawals! And way to go for kicking you butt up that hill. Just think when it won't even be hard anymore! And wow on all the pets! That must be so much fun.....now I miss our cats, lol. (Had to leave them both with the ex for now till we figure everything out).
Ruth--Congrats on the scale going down! :carrot:
Tummy--you made me curious after all the talk about P90X, so I just got the P90 and P90x. I am sure if it is hard for you though I am going to have uber hardships with it, lol. WTG on having some rest after your first week! LMAO on your hubby's reaction to starting veggie, lol. I'm a vegetarian and I couldn't get my ex to touch half the stuff I made and he was deathly afraid of tofu. He started working at this bio-diesel car shop though, and they were all a bunch of healthy hippies and would force him to eat things, and once he tried them he actually liked them!
Mystical --Way to use your noggin on buying the single slices of cake.....I never would have thought of that! (And then I would end up eating the leftovers).
Delphi--LMAO. Think of how many calories your Halo character expended though! I'm sure you'll make up for your down day later from what I have learned about you though!
SG--that must suck so much to have TOM so much in such a short time! Hope this one leaves you soon and the scale keeps going down! And another big congrats on that 20 mins, that is just so awesome!
Well, I knew it was only a matter of time before the scale went back up after it has been going down every day for the past week. Today it was up over 2 pounds to 264. Even though I knew it was going to go up at some point, I am a bit annoyed it had to go up on my weigh day for the Jingle challenge. Of course I guess that is my fault for eating a really big dinner last night (it was a healthy one and all buckwheat, beans, veggies, etc, but big and I probably really overdid with the avocado as I already had one earlier in the day), so of course the scale was up today, even if nothing else but the sodium in the beans. Oh well, even with the added 2 pounds, I still had a 5 pound loss from last week's weigh in for the challenge, which is good!
Even though I did put today's weight in for the challenge instead of 272, I am too lazy and am going to cheat and not change my tickers, lol. Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone!

we got these single servings of cake but they were enough for 2 or 3 peple I think LOL so I ate what I wanted and gave the rest to the boys LOL I know it wasn't actually my birthday but we went ahead and had the cake LOL. My DH has to work today so I am doing the grocery shopping and the laundry while he is gone today and tomorrow is the Holiday/Birthday. I am still not sure what we are having for my birthday dinner I guess it will be a surprise. :)
Tummy Girl Yeah, the boys start on Tuesday, they are a little nervous they are going to new schools and my youngest is starting high school... My goodness where has the time gone.. It's crazy to think that my kids are all growing up... YIKES!!
IDream Thank you so much for the birthday wishes, not you didn't miss my birthday it is actually Monday Sept 7, I was a labour day baby LOL I am sure my mother didn't think it was a good labour day hahaha. You see my husband thinks when someone has a birthday that they should have fun for the entire weekend so in our house you don't just get one day you get the entire weekend to shop and do whatever you want... I have tried for years to tell him that I didn't want to celebrate my birthday any longer but I gave up that fight and just humor him now. It has been a wonderful weekend so far and since my birthday is on the holiday I actually get an extra day LOL... So far I think I have gained 1.5lbs but I know that is from being out on the road and eating things I don't normally and from not getting enough water in. I am sure that it will come back down just as soon as I get my water back in me.
To everyone else I hope you are having a great weekend and you enjoy your holiday. I will check in throughout with everyone later on. :)

Who wants to read a story? Just post it in the MisAdventures of Shari album. :) I got in three hours of walking yesterday. Actually, it was about 4 hours but 3 of those hours were back to back. It sucks being poor and having no transportation. I was all over freakin San Anto, going to a Target, Walgreens, and Walmart because they all had really good sales on groceries that I also had coupons for. Target was a 30 min bus ride away, Walgreens 15 min. I suppose it won't have been so bad if I had started early in the day like planned. But no, I woke up in horrific pain this morning and stayed in bed till late afternoon. When I could walk, I went to the clubhouse to use the phone. I called in to work then called Susie cause I really miss my dog Pullo (she's keeping him until I get the money up for my pet deposit). She said she would come by after 6 so I rushed out to hop on the bus for Target. I shopped, waited an hour for the bus, and managed to get home a few mins before 6. I waited for 2 hours and she never showed up. With my phone being off, I had no way of calling to see where she was. Since it was Saturday, that meant it was the last day for the sale at walgreens and also my yogurt coupons would expire. So I left the house around 8, while it was still light, and hiked over to the Walmart. I tried calling Susie about six times from there but she never picked up so I left a message and took the bus to the Walgreens. It was a little after 8:30 when I got there, I got my stuff, tried calling Susie again from a payphone, and missed my bus. By this time, it's completely dark and drizzling rain. So I laced up my boots, gathered my bags and umbrella, and started the trek home. I left the Walgreens around 9pm. I got to the Walmart around 11. Since it was already late and I was walking home anyway, I did the rest of my shopping at Wallyworld. I get in line and try to pay for my things and it wouldn't take my card! Seriously?! :tantrum: One of the few times I actually have money on the card and it doesn't go through. So I ended up using the money I had in my pocket and I left around 11:20. My apartments and the Walmart are on this very busy interstate-like road that has no sidewalks. There is the hiking trail that runs behind Walmart into the river bed under the bridge but the part that is on my side of the river is just a bunch of tall grass and woods, ok to hike through when it's broad daylight, no way in **** when it's pitch black. So the only way to get home at night is to walk the road, hugging the guardrails and praying you don't have a run-in with a drunk driver, soon to be roadkill, or some jackoff who thinks it's amusing to ride the guardrails and scare the **** out of whoever has the displeasure of walking that way. I did just that, and I made it. I got past the guardrails and did a Russian march through the tall grass (I wanted any creatures lurking about to know I was coming though) until I made it to the sidestreet leading to my apartments. I stood there, breathed, and thanked the big man that I wasn't hit by a car or bit by a snake, rabid raccoon, and/or possum. I turned my head and was startled to see four deer staring at me! Two adult and two babies. I looked at them, they looked at me. One of the adults took the Bambis and walked off a few feet then stopped and looked at me again while the other adult stood his/her ground and gawked at me. I started to walk away when another deer popped its head out of the grass! We all watched each other for a few minutes then I continued my walk home. I got home a little after midnight. My back and hip hurt and my feet were swollen, I just wanted to crash. But, of course, since I had to use the money in my pocket at Walmart cause it won't take my card, that meant I had no money to put on my laundry card so I had to wash my uniform for work in the tub and hang it out before I was able to get to bed. Nice. :dz: Buuuttt, I guess the brightside is I got plenty of exercise, I saved $18.77 with my coupons and the store coupons, and I got my first raincheck thingie from Target (this was also my first time shopping there too). They had 80% lean beef on sale for $1.49/lb but they were all out when I got there. I've never had a raincheck receipt before and it just tickles me.
Whew, that's a novel! Hope you all have great Labor Day! :grouphug:

Hi Chickies,
I am late in starting. Still thought it was August! lol
I will be bold and say I want to get to 178.
Other goals are: eat OP and not let school freak me out!
I am not going to try to read everyone's posts before this - but I'll pay attention from here.
Have a day! :carrot:

Hey Girls!!
Sandye and SG Awesome on the 20min run!! I did 5 minutes straight on Friday which is great for me, I am really excited about it.
Sandye Thanks for the recipe, I found it and put it in my favorites. I used to make regular lasagna for my husband on special occasions and you are right, it is very time consuming. I hear ya on the kids not liking the flea market. My two kids like the smaller local flea markets but the huge one they started getting a little impatient toward the end. I was getting a little impatient too...hehe...with the dh, every time he sees tools, he has to look.
Well, good news the scale was down again for the third day in a row! Lost a .4, it may go back up tomorrow because I didn't track my calories today (almost impossible on Sundays) and think I may have ate a little too much. I'm down 2.2lbs for September so far.
Hey to all the rest of you chicks! Sorry I don't have time for more personals but I am just exausted and still have to decide on the cabin for our vacation next week.

Well just checking in sounds like everyone has been busy this weekend. I am still off for tomorrow and then back to work. I think I like vacation time better. Happy early Birthday for tomorrow Mystical I hope you get a great supper suprise. How do you like the holiday birthdays?? Mine lands on Thanksgiving again this year and there is absolutly never anything to do as most places close on the holidays. I had weigh in again this morning and the results were not what I wanted. The upstairs scale decided it would be fun to be a different number the 3 times I tried and the Wii said up .9lbs. I have been so good this week with food and excerise and especially my water (for the amount of time I run to the bathroom you'd think the pounds would fall off lol) I hope it is just do to TOM and next Sunday will show the actual results.

Hi All
I'm down 3lbs so far which is truly a miracle since i had a boozy meal and choc fudge ice cream at the weekend. Perhaps it will show up on the scale next week. I am mystified, the only thing I can put it down to was either I had already lost a pound or so before the start of the month (I hadn't weighed myself for a few days before September, so the loss might really be over 2 weeks), however, i was really sticking to my calorie counting the rest of the week and also doing a lot of exercise since i have run around 15k all together this week so maybe the exercise did it.
Hopefully I can make it stay off. You guys are an inspiration, thanks.

Jason your a-lot braver than this old Texan .I would never walk in the dark with all the critters around here. Dogs coyote's,mountain lion, rattle snakes won't even walk in the day light with out my dog Lee or my friend Donna. Your right the Lord was watching over you!
I don't go to San Antonio very often but every time I have gone it has rained so ready to go again but don't see that anytime in the future. We got a half inch rain here 2 days ago what a blessing!

Hey Chickies
What a great morning! Then again, the morning always feels great after my run... I love endorphins.
Well, I am down another lb from yesterday... bye bye TOM!! I'm happy to see the weight finally move after being stuck at 215 all week and starting to become worried I won't make my sept goal. Thankfully I'm feeling back on track.
Don't have time for personals as we're running out the door! have a super day!

Happy Monday Ladies,
Jessicado - I think the grand thing about p90x is that you can taylor your intensity a bit. The first time I went through the videos b/f I started the 90 days it was learning the routines, getting used to stuff, the second time was trying to work harder and still figure it out and now I've completed the first week (third time for most videos) and I am jumping higher, doing deeper squats, etc. so you really can work to your own level depending on your fitness. I'm sure you'll do great with them, it does take a fairly large time commitment but I know it will be well worth it, i've noticed big improvements already. Ya that veggie thing is gonna be interesting, it seems it's partly b/c he feels like all vegitarians/vegans he knows are very high and mighty about their lifestyle choice and not to mention are more junk food veggies than I intend to be. He'll come around, it's just going to take him some time. 5 lbs a week is rather awesome! And no doubt you didn't eat 7000cal worth of avocado so I betca it's that salt or just your bosy adjusting.
Mystical - :bday2you::balloons::celebrate::balloons: enjoy your dinner, whatever it may be. HIgh school, oh my, that is going to be a shocker, no more baby there. I think I'd cry a little.
Dcapulet - Woohoo on that run! You have yourself a great long weekend.
JasonsLea - I enjoy me some possum, lol, that's what we call an adventure!
Inthemidst - I like that, be bold dang it! I think we could all stand for a bit more boldness every now and again. Welcome back.
Ruth - Rocking it girl! Three days in a row, that must feel awesome after sticking for a bit. How long are you going away for :(?
Bigmid - for the scale being stupid, I hate the differences, even if it's up I'd prefer that to the bouncing around garbage. Hang in there TOM is a goat and can easily be behind that or a million other things so keep on keeping on and it'll be gone.
HealthyBunny - Or a lot of hard work? lol, credit hun, take credit! Three pounds doesn't fall off by itself and you ran 15K! You're doing great, congratsm that must feel awesome.
Bootsie - Great job! 1.5 in the first week :bravo:
SG - Oh look who is only 13 small little pounds away from 199! I betca October, that's gonna rock! Congrats on another pound, they're falling off as you run. Have a great day.
Had an awesome run this morning too, ran to the stop sign and back and took one full minute off my time from Saturday, super excited and there was a nasty head wind the entire way back so I bet I can do better on Wednesday. Those endorphins are fantastic SG, I think we have four choices to get them, drugs, alcohol, food or exercise, hmmmm, I wonder which is best?
Got tons of orgnaizing done in the basement yesterday although I was stressing dh out (he's a pack rat and I'm a purger) I didn't throw out any of his stuff but he gets really nervous anyway. He usually just leaves the room and if he doesn't see he's ok. Found lots of stuff I couldn't find since the move so that sure was nice, almost unpacked, after 6 months. I even found some journals from high school with some weight stuff in them, it kind of breaks your heart for the person you were, kwim? I even have some old measurements so I'm going take a look and see how much skinner I was than in high school.
Down another 0.4 today to 172.2, almost ready to bid 170 goodbye and five pounds from lightest weight ever, marvelous day, just marvelous.

Goooooooood Morning and Happy Holiday Monday to you all!!! :carrot:
Ahhh, okay let's get right to it! :D
Delphi~ girlie, where are you? It's not like you to not check in the morning! I need my Delphi fix!!!!:tantrum: Hahaha!! Hope you're having a nice relaxing weekend and that you don't end up re hurting your wrist with all of your gaming!! :)
SG~ Hey you! Yup, we did it! And I KNOW we can conquer that 25 min run too! Aren't you just blown away at how far we've come in such a short time? I gotta be honest, when I saw the plan I thought I'd be repeating weeks for sure when we got this to point--but so far so good! :carrot: I'm mailing off my 5K registration from tomorrow! Have you signed up for yours yet? :) Congrats on the loss today, and good riddance TOM!! Now let's hope he STAYS gone!!! ;)
Molly~ My Aunt & Uncle just moved from the Seattle area to FL of all places! They're in for quite the climate change! I saw the crazy heat you guys had this summer--wicked hot for you up there! Makes ya wonder what Winter will be like huh? Hope you're first day being Coke free is going well! Remember, we're with you in spirit!!! :)
Tummy~ thanks for the head's up! I think I'll end up getting the ones at Target, they're made by Naturals or something like that--they've gotten great reviews! Hopefully they have them in store so I don't to order them I'm already all miffed that I have to wait on the P90X to get here. ;) Haha, yeah, I'm pretty sure my hubby would have turned his nose up at that dinner too. There's only so much 'rabbit food' I can give him before he starts beating his chest and looking for his club  So, you mentioned you're not eating much animal protein these days--how are you getting in all your protein in now? AHA! You snuck in on me again! Congrats on the loss and the basement organizing! Wanna come over and help me with mine? :D Boy does it need it!!!
Jessica~ Yeah, I've never been able to sleep in much, even as a teenager--but I tell ya, I do like being able to wake up after the sun comes up once in a while! ;) It's hard to believe that I used to have to be dragged out of bed every morning and now I'm up at 5:30 without someone pulling on me or nagging me to get up! :lol3: Sorry to hear your scale took an upwards turn, but you still lost a crazy amount there didn't ya? Woo hoo!!! As for the sodium in the beans--since I'm so sensitive to sodium, I always rinse my beans first. :)
Mystical~ :celebrate::bday2you::celebrate: There! It's Officially your Birthday so you get a Real Official Happy Birthday Wish!!! :D Your hubby sounds so sweet! What a dear to pamper the Birthday person all weekend!!! Hope your Birthday dinner is scrumptious and that you have a wonderful day!!!
dcapulet~ Hi right back at ya! Hope you're having an awesome weekend!!! :)
JasonsLea~ girl, now you're on dedicated bargain hunter!! I don't think I would have gone through all of that! My hat's off to you dear--you ROCK! And you're crazy gutsy for braving that scary sounding road! Now, as a mother I need to don my Mom's Hat and give you a verbal thrashing for putting yourself in such a scary situation! I say the following with much love: Don't you EVER do that again!!! You hear me?! You could have gotten hit by some loony! You could have gotten snatched off the road by some icky perv! Okay, I'm done  sorry, but the Mom in me could not be contained. ;) Hope you have a great day and that you get to see your puppy today!! :)
ITM~ Hey girlie! Glad to have you back with us again this month! I know what you mean, Sept kind of snuck up on us there didn't it? Good luck on your goals this month!! :)
Ruth~ Woo hoo! Congrats on the 5 min run!! :carrot: That's great! Oh and yeah, you gotta try that recipe! It was even better the next day! Mmmmm! Uber YUM! Congrats on the loss too! Woo hoo!!!
Bigmid~ ahh, the fluctuations of the scale--gotta love/hate it huh? Don't sweat it, it's probably water weight or muscle! Remember, your scale can't tell you "hey, you've lose 2 lbs of fat, but you gained 1.5 lbs of muscle so I'm only showing you a .5 loss" :) Keep up the great work girlie!! :)
HeathyBunny~ WTG on a fantastic first week!!! That's awesome! And great job on getting in 15K this week too! :carrot:
Bootsie~ Congrats on the loss hun!! I'm with you, I'd never have braved what JasonsLea did! I'm too chicken! Keep up the great work, you're doing awesome!!
Well ladies, I'm happy to report that I'm down a bit today and sitting at 141 today. :) I'm going to change my ticker and keep my fingers crossed!
So my friend came over yesterday and it was so wonderful to see her again! It was just like no time had passed at all and we just picked up where we left off. She's such a hoot and I love her to bits! ;)
We decided to order out for dinner and I had a totally huge NSV! Everyone ordered Olive Garden and I had left over butternut squash lasagna and salad (my own, not OG's)! :carrot: AND--are you sitting down? I did NOT have ANY bread sticks!!! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: And the very, very best part was, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything! It used to be that I'd throw my healthy eating out the window in situations like this or if I managed to stay strong I'd end up feeling bummed out that I didn't get to eat what everyone else was eating. So I'm extra happy that I didn't feel even the slightest twinge of that. :) I made sure to look at the calorie content of the lasagna and the bread sticks before they ordered--the lasagna has over 1000 calories  and one bread stick--150!!! Holy cow!
Today we're going to just hang out around here and relax. Hubby's going to mount his TV on the wall and I'll probably get the toys up to the new playroom (finally!) and if I'm feeling extra ambitious, I might bag up all the Goodwill stuff and drop it off (if they're open that is).
Well, off to change my ticker! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!! Be sure to remember to...
Drink Your Water!!!

Tummy Girl: lol Love your packrat vs purger story. Congrats on your loss - the 160's are in sight now!

Sandye - I'm going to have to check out those bands too for fear of wacking myself in the head if another handle whips off. I black eye is not what I'm going for. I'm still doing dairy for now, just ff yogurt and egg whites but I haven't had milk in about 12 years now anyway. I feel so much better, I thought I was feeling pretty good after I changed my diet the first time but this last week I've had so much enegy I could burn it for fun, I've run farther and faster and Saturday I did two workouts back to back and was perfectly great afterwards. Seems like the proof is in the pudding for me. And I've been looking into the protien thing and it doesn't seem that I need as much as I thought. There's quite a few athletes who are veggie and their protien levels are around 10% or less of total calories so I haven't got it all figured out yet but ever study I'm reading and summarizes of studies are pointing to less protien being a good thing. Too confusing! So the protien answer is beans, lentils, legumes and nuts, with some dairy thrown in for now. Wow that was a long answer to a simple question, lol. Maybe I can tackle your basement when mine is done, it's still got a ways to go I'm afraid. :woohoo: on that loss hun, almost done a decade! Again :) I think we're going to need more pictures soon, and in spandex! Head to toe spandex jumpsuit, that's the ticket. Enjoy your cleaning, I may be getting around to more of that soon too, my basement oddly enough looks messier than when I began but there's a method to the madness, I hope :dizzy:

Hey ladies! Sorry for not posting, but it's just been a lazy weekend for us. So lots of sleeping in and staying up late. I've been all bloated and I have no clue why. I've been drinking more than enough water..but I think that is my problem..too much water...again. And it sucks not having a scale that works. It said 174 this morning...and I KNOW, that is not correct. Stoopid technology!!! Probably get out tomorrow to run some errands...so I'll pick one up tomorrow..but in the mean time, not having an operable scale is a pain. I NEED TO FEED THE OCD.
Well I'm off, we have watched so movies this weekend it's ridiculous..and I'm off to watch some more with the boys. We really have enjoyed our time off here. It's been great! You ladies have a great day and I look forward to getting back to routine tomorrow.

JasonLea--wtg on getting all that exercise and staying committed to both using your coupons and getting places!
IntheMidst-- God luck on getting to your goal!

LMAO....okay so apparently the reason the board was moving so slow is it apparently decided not to refresh all the way since my last visit and didn't show all the latest posts.....weird huh? It just refreshed now though with my post and I saw all the new ones.
Sandye--not eating OG breadsticks is AMAZING. Seriously, I LOVE those things. Tons. They are like crack to me. Especially dipped in alfredo sauce which makes them all the more healthier. There is no way I would be able to go to OG and not eat some. You are awesome!
Delphi--Lol at the OCD on scale weighing. I used to never weigh myself and would just judge my weight loss or gain on the size of clothes I was wearing. After I started a few months weighing myself though, I HAVE to do it every morning or it just doesn't feel right. When I moved last week and didn't have it with me for a few days I was going through withdrawals. Hope you get your new scale soon!

So the first week is done, and I managed to lose 1 lb!! I'm wicked excited about that because I have been doing somewhat crappy in the eating department, but I should be starting a new job this week. Monday thru Friday, with set breaks through out the day. It makes it soo easy to stick to an eating plan when I'm busy like that!! I'm so excited!!
Congrats to everyone doing great!! I need to catch up on this thread, I've been busy the last few days and missed like 5 pages... Lol.
Alright so with the OCD scale weighing... Haha... I totally fit into that! I have to! And somedays I get little surprises when I think I'm gonna be upset! I love it!! I live by my scale!

Hello ladies it has been a wonderful day. I have lots of phone calls and messages for happy birthdays, and we ended up just cooking some steak on the grill with a side of veggies. Not to bad considering. I have spent the day with family and friends so that is always nice for a birthdday.
Thank you so much Tummy Girl and IDream for the birthday wishes you ladies are awesome.
Well have to run for now ladies I will check in tomorrow after I get the boys off to school. I just might need a mental pick me up since my baby starts high school can't believe it. Have a great night ladies. :)

Evening Ladies!
Delphi, darling, I haven't told you how awesome your new picture is, or maybe I did, but I'm just looking at it now and wanted to say how fabulous you look, maybe for the second time but we cannot hear that enough. You can always go to the truck stop and get on the weigh scale there and I bet ya you find a date too . Hope you had a marvelous day with all your munchkins.
Jessicado - Wow no wonder it was slow, lol, that's almost non-exsistent! Wow doing awesome that avocado is almost gone ;) I think you just might be the first red up on the board this month!!!
Aprilcp - Congrats on the pound and the new job! This is kind of a part time job, just keeping up :)
Mystical - So glad your day went well and not too scary for dinner either, that's a bonus. And you're very welcome :) for tomorrow! Just come pick me up after I faint when my dd goes to kindergaten.
Not much going on around here either today, working out and meal prep for some busy days coming up. Look forward to hearing everyone's adventures tomorrow.

Hey ladies, sorry for being mia the last few days. I had such a fun weekend. Didn't go out of my way to work out, but I did a lot of walking/running around in the waves on the beach. One of my friends came to visit us this weekend and we had a lot of fun. The only bummer was that we ate out a lot, but I'm ok with that because I made good choices for the most part or only ate half of my plate anyways. Now I'm just relaxing tonight, not really looking forward to start work again tomorrow.

Hi all! The last weekend of the summer is coming to a close, with me at work. (I try to avoid thinking too much about the end of summer every year). I'm hoping the combo of diet and exercise will help me handle my seasonal affective disorder.
I'm addictice to challenges. I just signed up for Halloween challenge, and I am EXCITED.
Sending a big  out there to everyone for being on the boards and as supportive as always. Thanks ladies!

Good morning girlies!!! :D
ITM~ Thanks hun! I avoided them yesterday too--see, we have TONS of left over bread sticks and enough salad to feed a hutch full of rabbits for a week! Too bad we don't have any rabbits! ;) I had no idea those things had so many calories!! And to think I used to eat a minimum of 2 of those things when we went to OG!!
Tummy~ :lol3: Spandex?! Good gravy woman, do you want your eyes to burn straight out of you head?! NO WAY! Pictures perhaps soon, but NO SPANDEX!!! I searched high and low for those bands locally and it's a no go. They're made by Natural Fitness and they have a set of 3 bands for $25 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EOV4K6/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000ZSA246&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0ZNGTTAVKKPJ4GEY07G0 They also have 'professional' ones, but after reading all the reviews on these things--I think I'll go with the set. Apparently they're fantastic quality. Yeah, my basement is crazy scary! I had the whole thing spic and span, organized and as pretty as it could be (for an unfinished basement with no walls) and then hubby went and took down the big shelves I had all the holiday stuff on...ugh! Then I went through and purged the kids' room and threw the stuff down there with the intent of selling it all...needless to say, that hasn't happened yet. I just hate trying to clean it without hubby--the girls would be into everything if I took them down there--plus, there's some pretty big wolf spiders down there!!!
Delphi~ sounds like you had a wonderful weekend!!! Nothing beats taking it easy after a crazy week huh? Glad to have you back with us--mornings just wouldn't be the same without our Daily Dose of Delphi!!! :) Hope you get a new scale soon--we don't need you going nutso on us!! ;)
Jessica~ woo hoo! Congrats on the loss girlie!! So, what are you going to do when you hit your September goal way early? Are you going to set another one? Because you'll be making that goal in no time at the rate you're going!! :) WTG!!
april~ yeah, this thread gets pretty crazy sometimes! :) WTG on the loss!!
Mystical~ So glad you had a nice Birthday! Aww, you poor thing, it's tough when your littlest one is suddenly so big and grown up. I'm still in shock that my girls are 3 already, seems like just yesterday I was pg with them. Ahh, but when they go to Kinder, I might just throw a party! ;) Well, maybe I'll miss them a little
shasha~ sounds like you had a fun weekend! WTG making good choices when you went out to eat--that's a true sign of a lifestyle change right there! Great job! Hope your first day back at work is nice--well as nice as work can be anyway. ;)
dcapulet~ I was reading over the Halloween Challenge also, but decided that I'm just going to stick with one group. I love the ladies here and I'd hate to have to divide my time between them and another group. ;) Plus, I really shouldn't be on the computer as much as I am as it is! I think I have suffered from SAD as well--I'm hoping that this year will be different now that I'm back on my meds...we'll see!
Jacque~ crazy isn't it? I mean, when did I get old enough to be married for (almost) 10 years, have 4 kids and be almost 40?! The long weekend messed me up a little too, just sleeping in an extra 1-1 1/2 hours in the morning throws my whole routine off!
Well ladies, it's another cloudy gray day here and I'm actually just fine with that. :) I won't be spending much time outside today once I hit Wally World for some produce so it's not like I'll be missing out on any nice weather. ;)
I had a pretty good weekend, we got some stuff done yesterday which was nice and the new playroom is nearly finished being organized. Can you believe it Delphi? I actually tackled it this weekend--aren't you proud of me? :D
So, I just need to finish that up, get the downstairs one completely empty (there's a desk in there now from the new playroom and it's in pieces everywhere ) and then I'll call it a day. We're going to paint the downstairs room as soon as I prep it so that means I may just be challenging Delphi soon! ;)
Other than that, I don't have a whole lot going on besides the usual laundry and stuff.
Well, best get to then huh? Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that you're rested, refreshed and ready to take on a brand new week!!! Now get out there and have a wonderful day and don't forget to...
Drink Your Water!!!

I was away camping this weekend an went off plan... Not going to beat myself up over it and will get rid of the poundage I brought home with me as soon as I can.
On the plus side our treadmill has finally been fixed - it's been out of commission since May! Now I have no excuse not to get some exercise in on the days I can't hit the gym. My plan is to add in some walking every evening - I'll strap the hubbies netbook on the machine and watch my TV shows each evening - that will give me a good 40-50 minute walk each night.
I too appear to be becoming addicted to challenges! I joined the Halloween and Thanksgiving ones (along with this one and the Valentine's challenge...) LIfe is good :D

LE ~ I got it...you put on the wonderwoman costume and go at the house cleaning. But you MUST leave the costume on until hubby gets home. (Bow Chicka Wow Wow)Then your reward for cleaning will be rewarded. Your mission begins in t-minus thirty minutes..then this message will self destruct. ;)

Girls you think your getting old having children in high school? Here I am with a 16 year old grandson and daughter just had another that is 5 all together and now ladies I used to be the young one and now I am one of those old people! Those old people that I thought was old are in the rest home or close to it or gone! Time flies fast enjoy every moment of it before you know it ,its gone!
Got a 4 mile walk in with my dog Lee this morning and sit down and that big thing jumped right in my lap and was all wet! He thought that was so funny if a dog could laugh he was laughing! It was a great walk though and of course God had some wild flowers for me blooming, so pretty. I find it amazing as dry it is, he always some flowers along the path I walk.

 girls!
NSV today, I actually got my lazy butt up at 8 this morning! This is history, people!
As for my trek a few days ago, believe me, I'm going to try my hardest to never, EVER do it again! Texas has way more strange critters (bigger too!) than Bama, I'll say that. Sandye ~ I doubt I'll tell my mama about it cause she'll probably give me the same speech! I promise I'll try to avoid such a thing.

Hello ladies, I got up early to get my exercising in and it is the first day of school and my boys have had me running all over the place LOL... My oldest son's bus was on the other side of the school so he didn't catch his bus so off I went to take him accross town to school and I just get home and settled and here comes my other son his bus never showed up so here we go again to his school.... I think the transportation dept gave us the wrong place or times for his bus stop so hopefully they will get on a bus to get home today LOL. So now I just wanted to drop in and check on all of you wonderful ladies before I get moving. I am so motivated and ready to go with my new routine (schedule) I am finally getting the right mind set thanks to all the great support here. I'll check in again later... Have a great Tuesday! :)

Back at work today and feeling a little flustered. Back in April I found out that my former roommate opened up credit cards and a bank account in my name. Since then I took all the right steps and the cards were closed in my favor. I had pretty much lost hope that the police would contact me with anything, but finally this morning I got a call from the detective on my case and he wants me to send him all the paperwork I got from the CC companies so he can work locating her. Now while I'm happy that they are trying, I was kinda glad to just put this behind me and move on with life. I feel like I'm going to get my hopes up and get no justice for this. Oh well, I'm pretty much expecting it so I guess it won't hit me as hard this time. I'm just thankful that I'm cleared of the fraud because I have heard horror stories of other victims.

Back from a not OP weekend. I failed to get much for exercise since we moved the majority of our stuff from our house we're seliing Saturday and then drove 6 hours to my 15 yr high school reunion Sunday, visited some friends Monday morning then drove the 6 hours back. It did not lend itself to much time for exercise. Food was okay. I'm just glad I've started the second week of the month off right. I got in exercise, healthy food, and my vitamin today. Back to the routine! I still do not have my scale (no clue when I'll get it back either) and am REALLY sick of it. I keep telling myself to just deal with it and learn to not be so dependent on it, but I KNOW I'd be doing even better if I had that daily accoutability. I'm gonna try to call the company anf ind out when I can expect to get it back. Otherwise, good to see people doing well with all their healthy choices. No time for personals. I had to read and catch up on everyone's news ;)

Good morning ladies!!! [It took me so long to type this & my mom came by that it turned into afternoon! :D]
JasonsLea~ Yikes! Creepies & crawlies...Makes me run for the treadmill! Good for you getting up early this morning!!!
Bootsie~ Those doggies are funny aren't they? I have two that are in a constant state of jealousy. If I pet one, the other pushes in, and over & over & over. But they do make you smile. Don't think of yourself as old, think of it as seasoned....;)
Cheri1957~ :welcome: We are all happy to have you here BUT you probably want to lose 100 overall. What is your goal just for this month so we can help you take it in achievable chucks?
LE~ OK, loving Delphi's image of the Wonder Woman costume! Download the theme song and play it at LOUD volume as you are cleaning. Also a selection of empowerment songs, e.g. She Works Hard for the $, I Am Woman, etc. Fold & boogie.....
EconNerd~ Glad you had a good time camping! Those cookouts can be dangerous though... Last time we went it poured, the tent leaked, and the kids kept asking, "Why are we doing this again?"
Sandye~ Congrats on the new playroom! Doesn't it feel great to get things organized and done?
Jacque~ Ditto that. I don't know where the time has flown. But, I console myself that I really do try to appreciate all along that it does go fast and we have spent lots of great family time together.
As for me, I had a terrific, fabulous, outstanding, awesome weekend. We went to this terrific resort, kind of like a cruise that doesn't move. The only problem was that the food is fantastic and there is tons & tons & tons of it. As I was TOM, I was after everything that didn't move. Unfortunately, much of it moved onto my plate and then into my mouth!!!! But, it is the kind of place that offers lots of activities as well so I went mountain biking, and played tennis, and went on a huge vertical hike so I did get in my exercise just not my usual routine. Today is the first real day of my kids being back on their school schedule so I am back on my exercise & eating schedule and feeling better for it. I am absolutely determined to make my goal this month.
Hope everyone has a fabulous OP day!!!
Oh, and :congrat: to all the losers!!!!

Hi Girls!
Tummy We are only going to be gone 4 days (3 nights). This was a kind of spur of the moment vacation. If we really enjoy ourselves, I want to plan a longer stay sometime next year, hopefully after I've lost all my weight.
Sasha What a nightmare that must of been! I hope this person is caught.
Well I didn't get to report in yesterday but the scale was up 1.4 yesterday  I know I didn't eat enough on Sunday to gain that much. Also wasn't feeling that good yesterday so I didn't exercise and didn't feel like cooking, dh wanted chinese so I reluctantly agreed. I tried to be careful but I ate more than I should've. The scale was down .4 this morning so now I'm only a pound up. I'm sure I would be back down or closer to it if we hadn't ate the chinese but oh well, I'm back on track today.
Catch you chickies later!! Gotta get my house cleaned up!

Afternoon Ladies!
Hiking got cancelled, seeing as my car decided now would be a good time to break. My DBF is out fixing it now, though and it should be as good as new in a few hours. :)
Tonight's my niece's first soccer game of the season. Tomorrow night is the younger ones game. They are turning 12 and 8 this year! Yikes! I can't believe how fast they are growing up!
My sister is now 6 months pg and I can't wait for her to have her baby! Boy oh boy is she getting crankier by the day. :) My first nephew!! It should be a blast.
Staying on plan with eating today, and really hoping I can fit in some jogging tonight after the game. It's been getting dark early lately, and I'm really not a morning person... Lol.
Well gotta go pick up somethings. Catch you all later!

I aswell had a 4 day weekend, man o man was it hard! The stress of getting everthing ready for my son's first day of "Senior Year" today,
"Whaaaa-haaaa" "my baby!"
Well glad to say it did not go that bad, I could have done better, but just to be on the safe side, I didnt want to get discouraged. So I will not weigh myself until next Monday.
Ruth135-I don't know how you do it, I would drive myself crazy, weighing myself everyday.
