100 lb. Club - Please help me pick a dress for a baptism-photo's of both inside

Let me start by saying I'm not reall into dresses. I've always been a tomboy, but feel it is appropriate to wear one being the Godmother of my neice for her baptism. I picked up two dresses at Kohls, and since I don't really know what looks good as far as dresses go, I thought I'd ask all of you which you think compliments my body more, or just overall looks nicer. One has kinda ruffle sleeves, but is at the same kind kind of sleeveless, ( see 2nd pic as to what I mean by sleeveless ) the other has short sleeves. Help?!

I like the first one.

2nd one - u look hot!

08-26-2009, 11:08 AM
I like the second one :)
08-26-2009, 11:10 AM
obviously, they both look good, since the votes are split! I vote for the 2nd one.
08-26-2009, 11:11 AM
I like the second one because the pattern is smaller. I also like the neck line of it too. It looks real pretty on you.
08-26-2009, 11:12 AM
both are super pretty. I like the second one, but you can't go wrong with either.

I like the second one! I like it enough to see if there's a Kohl's around here so I can get one. I loooove blue and brown together and think it has a GREAT neckline. I also love dresses/shirts that have the line under the boobie. Makes boobies look GOOD makes waist look SMALL!
The top on the first one has a little too much extra material (it's hard to tell in pictures), I think you look sleeker in the second dress.

I like the second one a bit better, but both are fab dresses!
I like the second one
but you look great in both!

Dress #1. The detail around the neckline will draw people's eyes up to your face. The larger band around the waist defines a very lovely waist and brings out an hour-glass shape. Also, bigger patterns are more fashion current.

They both look good. I say go with the one you are most comfortable in.
Although both look very pretty on you, I like the second one better.
08-26-2009, 01:17 PM
Wow, that's tough. They both look fabulous on you.
I like the bigger band in the first one.
But I like the neckline better in the 2nd one.. :dizzy:
Aggrrrhhh. I vote for the second one.

both look very nice, but I vote the 2nd one
08-26-2009, 01:27 PM
I'm going to have to ring in for the second one. I think the neckline and sleeve design give you a longer, sleeker look.
08-26-2009, 01:30 PM
I like them both - I guess not helpful, but you're getting mixed answers anyway! :D
08-26-2009, 03:06 PM
i like the 2nd one the best .. i like the smaller print .. but they are both lovely dresses :)
08-26-2009, 03:27 PM
Second one, hands down. I like the pattern of the first one better, but I think the cut of the second is more flattering.
08-26-2009, 03:36 PM
I like dress #1. They both look amazing! ... I like the lacy piece on the dress.
08-26-2009, 03:37 PM
2nd one...to me you look much slimmer in it. maybe cause of the pattern? Love the color!
08-26-2009, 05:36 PM
I like the second one better. It's really flattering--you look great!! :)
08-26-2009, 05:58 PM
I like both, yet I prefer the second one more.
08-26-2009, 06:07 PM
I like both sleeves, but I like the neckline of the second one better. I feel it is more flattering than the other one. But (obviously) it is a close call.
08-26-2009, 06:16 PM
They're both nice but I'd go with the 2nd one definitely.
08-26-2009, 07:57 PM
They're both flattering on you, but I like the 2nd one better because the print is littler and has more colors. I think you'll have more options for shpes, cardigans to wear over it, purses, etc.

I like #2 the best.
I like #2 best. You look great! The pattern is very flattering and the neck line is gorgeous. You look good in both but I myself would wear #2.
08-26-2009, 10:42 PM
Both look good, but I definitely like the first one better. The wider black stripe is more defining. You look like you have a more defined shape and it just fits you so well!
:) Enjoy! Excellent choices - both of them!
08-26-2009, 10:54 PM
Both dresses are beautiful, but the second one is much more flattering!
08-26-2009, 10:55 PM
Definitely the second one (but both are cute)!
08-26-2009, 11:17 PM
I am also going to have to vote for the 2nd dress. Very pretty
08-26-2009, 11:27 PM
I like them both on you! but i vote for the 2nd one!

They are both very pretty but I vote for the second one hands down :)

thanks everyone! I was even considering keeping both since I have a wedding in Jan, but I"m actually hoping to go down another size between now and then.
08-28-2009, 10:06 AM
I like them both , but since you will be standing up ,in front of the church I would pick something with a little more sleeve.
08-28-2009, 04:31 PM
Depends on the church, though.
Well, buy #2 for the baptism and get #1 in the smaller size for the January wedding :) Though if the wedding is in Wisconsin in January, you might freeze your bum off!! LOL

I like the second one.

so, I just gotta say, Kohls might just be my new fav store. I was browsing there and saw the same dress went to clearance for $10.00!! The one that had more sleeve on it, and the majority of here liked better on me. The only one they had left was just a size large. So, I go to cust service and ask if they match prices. They said they couldn't cause it went on clearance. I said, really? She said you know what, why don't we return it, and then turn around and buy it again? I said that would be awesome!!
So, bottom line, I got the brown and teal dress for $10.00 What a deal!

Wow ! Your'e my kind of shopper.
09-03-2009, 10:14 PM
:congrat: A bargain AND a beautiful dress :D
