Good grief! I hope both of you are asleep right now!

I'm playing hooky from school today 'cause DD extended her visit and begged me to stay home. I feel very guilty!!!! I know people do this all of the time, but I don't. I'm glad to have one more day with DD, though. It will probably be weeks before we see her again.

I hope all of you have a great/productive day! Stay OP and to quote Vickie "drink your water"

Hi Ladies. We got back from Maine on Saturday. The week was wonderful! It was sunny and hot all week. Only Friday morning was there any clouds. The water was amazingly warm. Usually its in the low 60s, but last week it was close to 70, very swimmable for us! The water was for the most part calm with enough waves for the girls to body surf. Friday the water was a bit rougher and a stronger under tow, but we didn't swim much. I believe Saturday the affects of Hurricane Bill were much greater. Eating was OK, drinking was much more than usual. Oh, well, it was vacation. After we got home and unpacked everything we went to my sister's for a cookout. My Nephew who is a meterologist in FLA was home for a few days. It was great to see him.

I did start fresh yesterday - I gained 5 pds on vacation, but that is sort of what I had thought I would. I'm hard core going forward. I've got this coming week off as well. Need to keep on track and really work to do that. Seems being home is tough for me, its easier to be at work where I bring everything. I grocery shopped this morning -- loaded up on fruit and veggies. So, I'm getting all healthy stuff in.

Rhonda, congrats on selling the house. When do you close?

Maryann, sorry Leo is having a tough time with the treatments. I hope he is feeling better. Congrats on the loss.

Vickie, congrats on your continued losses as well.

Sloan, enjoy today with you dd.

Hi Sandra, Nancy, Coco and donna!! Hope I didn't miss anyone!

Good Morning Chicks! I slept for 7 hours once I went to bed so I think I'm good.

Sloan, I'm glad you stayed home. We have to enjoy life when the opportunities present themselves.

Paula, I'm SO glad you had a great time. 5 pounds is something you'll be able to manage. Again, we have to just enjoy our lives with abandon sometimes. As long as you get hard Core as I know you will, you'll get that off in no time.

Mary Ann, I'm glad the east coast was spared a visit from Bill. Hang in there and stay cool. We are experiencing an early Fall, I believe. That makes me grumpy because I hardly got to swim in my pool at all this year.

Rhonda, what's up GF? What had you up in the wee hours of the morning?

Sandra, when do your tournaments start again?

I REMEMBER you! How long have I been here screwing around?

Welcome back, Terry, right? You are awesome when you put your mind to it. How's your little girl?

You're going to love it here. Not everyone is doing Core/Simply Filling but the language is still universal.

Hey chicks! DD is on the road, and I need to get serious on core. I have been off for several days, and I hate to see the scales. I have fruits, veggies, and some ww frozen meals for lunch, so I am ready for school lunches this week.

Hey to the new girl! I have been here for about 18 months, and I love these chicks! Welcome (back) to the group :D

Vickie-I'm glad you got some rest.

Thanks, y'all, for the props about staying home today. I really am glad I did! I remember a quote from Stephen Covey that said something like: at the end of our lives, chances are that we will not say "I wish I had worked more". Most likely we will wish we had spent more time with our loved ones.

Hi ladies. So far I'm doing well back on track. I'm down 3 pds already from my vacation gain -- which is great. Its going to be a hot day today, going to dds school to meet her teacher this morning and then she has gymnastics at 5:00. I think we'll go to a small local zoo this afternoon. Tomorrow she is taking a trail karate lesson, should be interesting. Its going to be hotter tomorrow, I'm thinking we'll head to the beach for the day -- her lesson is at 5:00, so we should be back with plenty of time to spare. Friday we are heading to the Cape Cod canal and doing the bike trail. Its 7 miles in total. Should be fun, it supposed to be fall like by then.

monkeypoodle, welcome back!!!

Sloan, glad you enjoyed you day with dd. Work will never know!!

Well, off to have breakfast. BBL

Good Morning Chicks! I'm on the run today. Gotta go get on the treadmill and get ready before the window guy shows up. We'd like to replace all the windows as they are 18 years old. We're settling to replace all the cranks and 4 glass that are foggy. That should get us a few years before we take the plunge and buy new windows.

I'm on program and trying to be good before my splurge on Thursday.

I only got 7 glasses of water in yesterday instead of my usual 10. I must be better today.

:woohoo: I get to see Rhonda soon. I'm soooooo excited!

I got called to sub yesterday and barely had time to make a lunch----however, (drum roll please) I did great foodwise and even rejoined WW this morning. I programmed the automated system to not call me for subbing on Tuesdays. I will only sub on Tues in emergencies. I want to get to WW weekly and stay focused.

:welcome: Terry!! It's so good to see you here. Guess what. I weigh 1 pound more now than I did when I first joined back when you were here. Have I been screwing around (Vickie, I borrowed this from you.) or what?

Paula, good for you losing those 3 lbs. You're doing wonderfully.

Sloan, don't feel guilty. Like I said earlier, I subbed yesterday and that was first day of school.

Maryann, it's scorching here, too. Maybe we'll melt some lbs?

Vickie, we have a tournament Labor Day Weekend but it's not far from home. Our next biggee is the TX State Senior Olympics in Oct. I am pumped.

Hi Ladies:)

Just got back from the c center and we did meet with the lung specialist and we have options of several chemo treatment, but it will be up to the specialist & our chemo doctor discussing which is right for us.

Going back to see the doctor on Sept 4,and according to the specialist Leo is healthy and he doesn't see why we can beat this again.

Told us to make plans for our next cruise next year.

PAULA-Have a wonderful time in Maine.I think everything will be fine ,and thanks for the congrats. Congrats on your 3 lb weight loss, and on vacation to boot. You're doing great.

VICKIE-Glad you had a good nights sleep. Luckily we didn't get the hurricane as we don't have a good system to get the tourist or locals off the cape if we needed to.

MONKEY POODLEWelcome :welcome2: back to the chat. I think I remember you,but that was a while ago. I was on WW flex and core plan but both didn't work,so now I counting calories in stead.

SLOAN-Looks like you prepared for school with all those healthy snacks.

SANDRA-I like your idea about melting the pounds away. Hope that I get off the 160's soon have 8 more pounds for that.

Have to go, DS is on the phone, see you guys in the AM.

Maryann-I am so glad to hear the doctor's idea for a cruise next year! That's very good news. I hope you and Leo get to do that!!!

Paula-3 pounds off already! That's great!

Sandra-how did it go? I'll bet it was just like riding a bicycle! Was it fun? Did you like it as much as you thought you would? I can't wait to hear!!

Vickie-I just put my pool away. We did not get to swim much this summer either. We have had the coolest summer in my memory.

Had a busy morning first to have my hair cut ,go grocery shopping and than cook dinner.

It looks like the weather has finally broken and it now easier to breath when going out doors.

SLOAN-Thanks,We were thrilled to hear the doctor work,so even though Leo has the cancer, the treatments for the lungs has improved as they're many more chemo drugs for this type.

PAULA-Have a fun day at the beach.

Hey y'all!
I have had a very busy day again today. Writing these new lessons is very time consuming, but I'm hangin' in there. Some of the students are having a hard time, but for the most part, all is well. My eating was better today, mostly because I was so busy.

Maryann-I'm glad it has cooled off a little. Enjoy!

Paula-I hope you had a wonderful day at the beach! I wish I could have gone, too.

Well, the beach was wonderful, but mobbed! It was one of the last beach days ahead before school starts -- today its like fall. We ran into a friend who moved from our town about 4 years ago, her daughter and DD were friends when they were 2. Of course they didn't remember each other, but played like old friends. Then last night DD did a trial karate class. She loved it! So, this fall its gymnastics and karate. Did I mention she was moved up a level in gymnastics? She took lessons this summer and was able to move ahead a level. She won't be in class with out neighbor, which for some reason I feel bad about but she could care less. Oh well.. just wanted to do a mommy brag for a minute :)

Well food wise I'm doing well, still holding onto a 3 pd loss from Sunday. I'm going back to Saturday am for WI. So far so good. We went out to dinner last night and I got a chicken stirfry. I estimated points for the sauce -- it was very, very good. I bought a lot of peaches, apples and plums on Monday. I've been snacking on fruit through out the day. Being home this week I have been doing better than usual.

Rhonda, any word on a closing date? Are you going to rent in Canada for a while and head to TX later or are you moving soon?

Maryann, enjoy the next couple of days. It feels like fall. Saturday is going to be a washout with Danny heading our way. Oh well. How is Leo doing?

Sandra, congrats on getting back to WW. I hope you connect with the leader and the group.

Well, off to shower. Only a few more days of vacation for me. I love taking 2 weeks off. BBL

Good Morning Ladies:)

Have a doctor appointment this morning to remove a growth on my nose,it started to bleed when laying on it while I was sleeping, and I'm so paranoid, now that Leo has cancer .

Other wise noting going on,it looks like we are going to get some cooler [window opening] days. I can finally take advantage and get some walking done sometime this afternoon.

SLOAN-I guess the students are not ready for studying yet. Give them time,I sure they will be coming around. I found that be busy stops me from overeating also. I found out from a woman in the beauty shop yesterday that Hurricane Danny is heading straight for us on the Cape over the weekend. Don't know how strong the storm is going to be.

SANDRA-Great going on staying OP. I'm going back to my WW books to get ideas on different kinds of meals. I'm also going to up my low calories from 600 to 900 and lower my high calorie count to 1400 instead of 1600. and see if I get better results.

PAULA-Glad you had a great time at the beach, we still have the mobs of people in our town. Try to stay away from them as much as possible as I don't want to catch anything and bring it home to Leo.

Congrats on holding 3 lbs off, and by all means if Sat AM is a good W-I day then that what you should do. Going out for a walk when I get back from the doctors.

VICKIE-Have a great time at the races hope you win something.Enjoy the day out with your sister and BIL. Nothing better than getting together with the family.

Maryann, I am doing so much better staying op since I rejoined Tuesday. It's easier so far. I hope that continues.

We haven't gotten to see Rhonda and Doyle yet. We've talked on the phone; and if all can be coordinated, we'll see each other soon. If not? We'll see each other in December.

Good Morning Ladies:)

Had my growth taken off my nose and it hasn't formed a scab yet,so I have to parade with a big bandage on my nose. UGGGHHHH!!! Hope I will be able to take it off by Sun when I'll be going to church, but We might not be going anyway if Danny is going to hit.

Starting Tuesday I'm going to combine my calorie counting cycling, with a low carbing. I think I eating too much bread & bread products, have to focus on veggies & protein instead.

SANDRA-Happy that WW is working for you,I can't go back to WW or their meeting anymore, especially if it didn't work for me. I just met a woman from my class and she told me that since the economy going down all the old members are all gone along with the WW leader. The new members are just a a handful so they might close the the to two meeting in our town and if want to continue with WW we have to go out to the next town.

Have a great day, will look in later

Went biking today with DD - we did the bike trail along the Cape Cod canal. 7 miles both ways! She did great, it took us just over 2 hours. I think we saw the President flying over head when we were done. There were 2 military helicopters heading from the cape toward Boston -- one larger one being escorted by a smaller one. My guess it was him....that will be my brush with fame :)

Hope you all had a great day.

Maryann, I hope your nose heals. Keep dry tomorrow!

TGIF :carrot: I have been so tired this week! Got together with teacher friends after school and ate too much. I'll do better tomorrow. We don't have plans for this weekend, so I'm going to take advantage of it.

Sandra-I'm so glad you are having a good time with subbing. I'm also excited that you will be seeing Rhonda this weekend. I know you two will have a great time.

Maryann-I hope you and Leo will be safe if Danny makes landfall. Will you have to evacuate? Don't take any chances! We will be watching the news and praying for you.

Paula-Your two weeks off sound like a dream. I'm glad you got to spend time with DD before school starts. Is she excited about going back? I hope she has a great year. I enjoyed reading your mommy bragging. Moms need to do that sometimes!

Good Morning Ladies:)

It raining cats & dogs, and I'm not going out to step in a puddle  Seriously, we are expecting for the winds to whip up from Danny some time late afternoon into tomorrow, they really don't know. The winds are going to be 40MPH but we're used to those as we get them every winter.

Well this morning I wearing a smaller bandage this morning,as the larger one is making me crossed eyed.. Still not scab, hope that it doesn't leave a scar, but if it does I be putting more makeup on that spot.

PAULA-Big:cheer2: Congrats for riding your bike so far.We have a bike path that starts in our town and goes to Bourne. We haven't been on it yet as with all the doctors appointment we just didn't have time. Thanks hope it doesn't leave a scar of I might have to overdue the makeup on that part of the nose.

SANDRA-I live is a small town on the cape and we only had one place in our town and that is in the Holiday Inn conference room.We have there is surrounding towns.

SLOAN-Don't think the storm will be as bad as they predicted, and if so we don't have to evacuate as we live on higher grown. They only problem we have here on the Cape is when the tourist that don't have there own homes will have to leave and go over a two way highway that lead to two bridges to get off the Cape. Thanks you have a great weekend also.
