100 lb. Club - Do you know what is SO AWESOME about weight loss???

I've had a day from ****.

Kids. FIGHTING. ALL. FREAKING. DAY.

I had to clean the house from top to bottom because it's a daycare day tomorrow and it got out of hand this weekend.

My three year old boy... is a three year old boy.

My husband is being over melodramatic.

I think I'm getting the flu. Or something.

And I'm facing a week of having to amuse 5 kids at the ballet studio for two hours EACH DAY while my older girls do their exam prep courses and THEN taking all five on the bus home.

Oh and my period is STILL not over and I'm holding like 3-5 pounds of water weight.

Okay okay. I'm getting to why weight loss is awesome.

Because after the **** of day that I had... I grabbed my Bella puppy, put on my mp3 player, strapped on my runners and speed walked for over an hour. Five miles. In the POURING warm rain. While my husband bathed and put all of the kids to bed and then cleaned the kitchen.

And now... it's okay. I walked. I got out all of my frustrations. I breathed. I sang. I drank the rain. I frolicked with my dog. I felt sorry for all of the poor suckers driving their gas guzzling vehicles around, drinking their $7 coffee's and STILL stressing about their lives when they COULD be doing what I was doing.

Freedom... courtesy of weight loss.

happy sigh :)

Can I just say that - "I think I may be falling in love with you". ;)

Gee, I hope you weren't too creeped out by that. Maybe it'll sound a little less creepy if I remind you that I've been married for almost 24 years with 3 grown children.

I know, it still sounds creepy. But I just can't help myself! :smug:

Can I have your husband??

I would kill, KILL to be able to go out and walk my stress away in the evenings!!! OMG!! That sounds so wonderful!! I think I may try to hire someone a couple times a week for this!

Anybody else but me think it's just amazing that with all that stress she went for a walk instead of a binge? Very cool.

Very cool indeed. That's what a health minded/health conscious/committed person does. Finds something that relieves the stress - in the short term (immediately) and extends to the long term (benefits that last long after the task is done) as well. Very cool indeed! :D

awesome post!!!! its so true! that our bodies dont know the difference between physical stress or mental stress, so our bodies get all riled up to either fight or run away.

so when we exercise, we release the tension in our bodies, and actually feel relaxed afterwards, not to mention those lovely endorphins!

i loved your post and the image of you speed walking in the warm rain! :running: thanks for sharing!! i agree with everyone, excellent post! put a smile on my face too!!!
you rock! :cheer3:

your post is very inspirational!

i also find it relaxing, than when i'm stress about something or in a bad mood, i just want to get out of the house and just go for walk/run.

i agree having a goal of losing weight, definately has its perks !!

You are so very welcome my friends! I was tired out by bedtime and had a GREAT sleep and the scale was down 1.4 lbs this morning to 237 (holding period weight) so that means the water is on it's way out :) All very good things :)

I actually didn't even think of eating... all I could think was "I have to move, I need to move this body, I need to go!!!!" and so I did. The fact that I THOUGHT that made me feel better than anything!!!!

I love this!!! The first part sounded like my day yesterday in a way....my husband is out of town though so I got on the trampoline with my 3 year old and we jumped (I held her and we bounced high lol). Soon we were joined by my 8 & 5 year old. We had fun! No fighting, got them tired before bed time & I got my release!

Rock on girlie :)
