Hi there!!!
I just weighed myself and found myself tipping the scales at 220lbs.. I really really need to lose weight... I hope to gain inspiration from this forum... and any advice that will help me reach my goal.. would be great... thanks!!!

1st mini-goal: 10lbs by 30 Sep.
2nd mini-goal: 10lbs by 31 Oct.

Possible?

Possible - yes. Probable? Maybe.

While I lost more than 10 lbs each of my first two months, and started out at a similar weight (I'm shorter), I have never had good success with time-bound weight goals.

I can control my exercise. I can control my food intake. I cannot control how my body responds or what the number on the scale will be. Weight is made up of too many variables. The scale does not measure fat loss (which was my goal).

Thus, why not make goals that are behavior goals instead?
