Default Insatiable Hunger!

I don't know what's going on with me today... maybe TOM is coming, or maybe it's the vitamins I've been taking, but I have been hungry literally all day today. Like, starvation-mode hungry.

I tried to pace myself by having some small meals spaced out... but I woke up early and ended up having TWO breakfasts (cup of Fiber One cereal, then an Egg Beaters omlette an hour later) by the time I'm usually waking up.
Then I ran out to do some errands, and it took all my willpower to not stop for fast food on the way home. When I got home, though, it was on! I blew through TWO Lean Cuisines and two individual servings of frozen veggies. I know that what I ate was healthy, but I ate so MUCH of it... and to be honest, I'm still a little hungry! I'm not hungry enough to go foraging in the fridge again, but I know that given an hour or two, I'm going to want to binge.

I feel like I'm going crazy... I've never been SO hungry for SO long before! I've only been consciously dieting for five days now (today is Day 6), and I've made some pretty drastic changes, though I'm sticking with Weight Watchers and eating all my points every day. Has this happened to anyone else? What do you to to stave off the hunger without eating all the food in your house?

How many points are you eating?

You can expect to feel hungry sometimes when restricting foods, but you shouldn't be ravenous and insatiable... unless you aren't taking advantage of zero-points foods to fill you up.

Perhaps you could check in over in the Weight Watchers threads... see what the folks over there have to say.

Good luck!

Lots and lots of water. Also, I find if I have a lower calories day, the next day, I'm a lot hungrier than usual. For example, on Wednesday, I only had about 1300 calories, I just wasn't hungry. At my weight, that is way too low. The next day, I was starved, I felt like I couldn't eat enough.

Also, fruit and big salads (with more things like cucumbers, tomatos, peppers and less lettuce) really fill me up. That combined with water, and I'm good for a long time. Also, plain fat-free yogurt is good to get me going in the morning with some fiberone. And water!

I was like that today. Yesterday, I had a cup of Cheerios and 1/2 cup skim milk for breakfast with my two cups of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a sugar free pudding cup for lunch. I just wasn't hungry at dinner and went to starbucks and got a Venti Pike Place. Sipped on that throughout the night.

Today I am making up for it. We all have days like that and you will probably find yourself rolling points over from some days and taking advantage of them on others. I don't do WW, but I do that quite often with my calorie counts. It has worked out fine so far for me.

As the other 2 posters said, finding low cal options that will fill you up is a big factor in staving off the hunger and a potential gain.
