Mini-Goal Photo Album - First 100 lbs gone

The first picture was taken at the beginning of the year. I was my starting weight here of 425 lbs. The second picture was taken last week after 100 lbs gone at 325. You don't notice the difference yourself (except for your clothes falling off) until you see pictures side by side. The first picture has TGH (The Gorgeous Husband) in it.

Holy moly, it took me two years to lose my second chin but yours is already gone! And even without comparing the photos side by side you can see a huge change. Congratulations, and here's to the next 100 :)

My 14 yr old niece weighs 100 lbs ~so you lost a whole 14 year old girl!(A pain in the butt 14 year old girl ~That is LOL!)

Whaddaya mean you can't tell unless you put the pics side-by-side? Of COURSE you can tell! You have lost half your face!!! You were very pretty in the first pic (and your hubby is very handsome) but you are simply stunning in the second!

I'm going to tell you what my BFF told me a few weeks ago, because it applies to you too. She said, DC, as beautiful as you are now, in 50 lbs you are going to be a flaming knockout. Leslie, as beautiful as you are right now, when you get to 250 you are going to be a flaming knockout. I promise. You look AWESOME!!

I want to say that it's been hard but it's actually been surprisingly easy. I can't tell you why or how but one morning I woke up and said to myself this is it.... life is going to change. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. The food part has been a breeze... there really is no secret to it. We all know what and how we should be eating. The exercise was a bit tougher, only in the sense I couldn't get around very well at first and it hurt and I would get all hot and sweaty and yucky. That didn't last long though... it's amazing how adaptable the body can be !! I also have an amazing support system around me. That helps tremendously !!

If there's one thing I would say to anyone wanting to be on this journey is don't beat yourself up and don't be 'obsessive' about it. We don't always make the best choices but the more we dwell on the ones we've made in the past the harder it is to move forward.

Always look forward, never look back, and take one day at a time.
