Depression and Weight Issues - i've been stuck at losing weight

i didn't know Lithium could cause a person to be this way. i've recently been weening myself off with a Dr's help. i am on Abilify now.


Does lithium really make it hard to lose weight?

It can effect people that way. For me, it makes me feel bloated, I am losing weight on it.

Lithium is nasty stuff. Hopefully you will get off it.

I've never been prescribed Lithium, so can't answer your question. I have taken Ambilify and had to quit that. Too many side effects and the withdrawals were worse than any medicine i've ever been on. But, it's different for different people so... Good luck with that and hope the weight starts to come off again!
