Don't know what the challenge should be but I'm in anyways lol! I love a good challenge! So are we talking exercise, weight loss, or veggie related? Or maybe some combination? Maybe a Halloween challenge or is that to far away? I keep hoping that I'll be able to drop another 20 by then so I can look a little good in a costume and not have to where something tent shaped again this year lol! :) MrsVegan00 08-13-2009, 12:47 AM im not sure lol. i love a challenge as well so i thought it was time, it can be a combo i need to get motivated a little more and i thought a challenge can do it, what is the basic one they use on the veggie challenges? maybe we can go from there! lol. its so random it might work! =) GypsyLove 08-13-2009, 07:38 AM Well looking at the last 2 or 3 challenges it seems like the weigh in days were on Fridays and there wasn't a specific goal named so I guess you can just try and lose what you can in the challenge. I've never tried to make a challenge before I've only joined in so I'm not sure how to best do it either. Maybe we should just pick a start date and end date and see if others want to do it too? Lately I've been losing around 2 lbs. a week when I actually stick to my workouts and of course going vegan about 5 weeks ago has been helping me sooooo much! so 2 lbs. a week for 3 weeks I'll make my goal a nice safe 6 lbs. for now. If I lose more great but I'm trying to lose at a healthy pace. Yay for the new challenge!!!! :D MrsVegan00 08-16-2009, 05:31 PM thanks girls weigh in tomorrow good luck, basically just put your goals youd like to accomplish is a short time and see if you can do it for that long it is 22 days. Just try to hold yourself to a challenge youve set for yourself and then maybe you will know you can keep going and keep up the challenges, maybe be vegetarian for this many days or try cutting out that soy ice cream, any little thing thats been bugging you try and cut it out for 22 days and then see how you feel once this is done, see if you have lost any weight, see if you feel better about the choice. MrsVegan00 08-17-2009, 09:20 AM This Morning i am 197.5 excited about my weight loss already but ready for some more, my goal to keep is to keep my vegan consumptions healthy, drink a lot of water, keep up with my running, days i cant run then i want to do some kind of exercise, just keep myself active, i work in a bakery and it is hard on some weekends not to want to come home and eat so i need to try and work on myself with that one as well. k ladies i will be back later after work. ta ta Darby1 08-17-2009, 11:51 AM I'm up this morning, due to an out of control weekend. When will I learn? Anyway, I'm starting at 192. I'd like to lose 5 lbs. in the next 3 weeks, putting me at 187. My goals for this challenge are to keep up with my current work out, and add two more days of strength training. I do Weight Watchers, so I'd like to be sure to stay within my points every day (including weekends!!). When I do, I lose weight consistently. Good luck everyone. I have been really bad lately with weighing myself EVERY day! I'm going to try and only weight myself on Mondays just for this challenge which is great since I just had my first binge in over 2 months EEK! Oh well, I just gotta keep truckin along. I could never get up that early unless I was sleep walking to the fridge LOL! It's been to hot for me to run outside at the moment so I've been hittng the treadmill 4 times a week. I take yoga classes 3 times a week which is my favorite but I was a bit bummed out that our instructor was out sick yesterday. I of course hope she feels better I just needed my yoga fix for the day. I expect to weigh in monday the same weight to be honest just because of all the salt and fat. Me and my mom both retain more water then average when exposed to a lot of salt. Darby1 08-24-2009, 08:54 PM I overdid it again this weekend, so I didn't weigh in. The way I eat when I overdo it now isn't even half as bad as my daily diet used to be, but it still doesn't help with weightloss. I did walk 3 miles this morning and I did my volunteer job which was probably another 4 hours of walking. I say hours because the classes go by the hour and I have no idea what the mileage might be. And I did do a 19 mile bike ride on Sunday. So at least I'm exercising, right? I will stay on track this week and not weigh in until Thursday or Friday. I know the scale will be up and I don't want to mess with my head until I know I'm back down. Oh, and I went to a bbq on Saturday and brought two vegan side dishes. Only my husband and one other person knew that I'm vegan. My husband is vegetarian and so is the other person. As it turns out, in this sort of small group of maybe 15, 6 of us were vegetarian/vegan! And we didn't even know it! So there were lots of veggie sides for us to eat. It was great. GypsyLove 08-24-2009, 10:35 PM I've been very good about not missing my workouts. I just started weight training saturday but I've been running and doing yoga for a few months now. I think I've just been getting overly excited about all the new yummy recipes I have been finding recently lol. I have to keep a better eye on my portions. Today I brought a big bowl of stir fried veggies and tempeh over brown rice and if I didn't stop myself I would have eaten the whole thing it was so good! I've been trying to lose this weight for a while now and it's going away very slowly but still at least it's going. I'm used to the pace of it and I've started making some good healthy habits to stick to so I'm not worried about giving up. It's just annoying to work so hard and not see immediate results, guess I gotta work on my patience next lol! Frigg 08-24-2009, 11:25 PM Blah. I dieted really good for about half of the week, then really dropped the ball. I weighed this morning with my clothes on and it looked like I lost nothing, but I'm waiting for a new scale to come because the one I have is always inaccurate. I missed yesterday's and today's workout just because I was all bummed out over a tiny fender bender I got into yesterday. Don't worry, everyone is fine! It was so tiny that all that was on my car was some scuff marks and some of the other guys paint. I was more bummed out over the $500 deductable that I have to pay my insurance even though the damage was like $100 and that's really just labor cost to buff it out. I got the guys license plate before he called me an idiot and sped away and I really hope they find him. so yea....I'm feeling a bit blaaaaaaaah! Haley8203 09-07-2009, 07:04 AM MrsVegan00- that's great about the gym. there's a gym at my school but since starting back my exercise has really suffered part of the reason is cause we've been able to go to the beach and then i don't have time for exercise lol but there's probably only another week and then it will start to feel like fall is coming and no more beach :( i'm back to 300, really gonna try harder this week!!! GypsyLove 09-07-2009, 11:13 AM Well today is the end of the challenge and last weigh in. I weighed in at 193 again so no loss for me this past week. I started at 197 though so I did lose 4 pounds the past 3 weeks so I guess I'm not totally disappointed. How'd everyone else do? Not to rush into anything to fast but I'm really hoping for a Halloween challenge!
