The scale has been an annoyance to me lately, so I have been looking for other ways of gauging my progess. I started out in a 32 jean at 268 lbs. and I am down to size 24. Although I am still huge for my height, at least it is starting to go in the right direction. All the 3x tops were falling off of me. Yay! This feels good. I wanted to share my good news.:carrot::D

No doubt on the size changes. Great Job.
I'm 5'2" and I started out at 316 and was barely fitting into my 32's. Now, I'm at 255 and I'm between a 26 and 28.

Four sizes is HUGE!!! I also started out a 32 (but too embarrassed to be seen in jeans, good for you) and had to really start buying new clothes at size 24. That is a BIG DIFFERENCE in size!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!! And it only gets better!!!!

Awesome news! :carrot:
I'm not even sure what size jeans I was once up to, all I know is that any jeans they had in the plus-sized section of the stores were too small for me! :o I'm now down to about a 24 myself; it's a great feeling, isn't it?

Congratulations on the lost sizes!! Honestly, I keep track of inches lost as they are often a better indicator of our success. The scale can lie to us saying we have gained lbs when we have in fact may be retaining water, etc.
The scale is not always our friend, but our tape measure doesn't lie! I measure once a month and track the measurments in an excel spreadsheet along with my weekly weight losses/gains.
I wish you continued success!

congratualions on the shrinking sizes...Isn't it wonderful to have 3x seem sooo biggg. I treated myself shopping when my size 28 jeans looked to baggy to wear in public, although I've had a few slip ups since then......keep up the good work. hugs

I'd say 56 lbs is alot more than starting in the right direction!
congrats on the smaller sizes!!

You are doing great! I think the times when the scale seems stuck are a real test to whether we will succeed or not. It takes determination to get past it, but it always drops if you just hang in there and stick to your plan. It's great that you are looking at other ways of measuring your success, that really helps. The NSV thread is a great help too, focusing on all the positive things that come from losing the weight is so helpful. Smaller clothes has always been a huge reward for me. Enjoy those smaller jeans, you've worked hard for them!
