Almost forgot when I posted in the other thread.

Good morning ladies, don't forget today is WI day.

I'm down a pound but still not down to my lowest weight along this journey. I try not to kick myself but it's a little frustrating. With my cruise coming up I can almost guarantee that I will gain a few pounds. Speaking of my cruise the stats for the week of the 17th will not be posted until the 20th; both Dee and I will be out of town.

Mack and I did a 7 mile hike yesterday that was very nice. Here are some pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4106149...57621926561670

Shannon you look GREAT.

Suzanne - Trying to stay on plan in Vegas is like staying on plan on a cruise. Vegas has some of my favorite restaurants. My last couple of trips (I live 2.5 hours away) I have packed a cooler with ALL of my food for the weekend.

Shari - Glad you are in your new apartment. It may take awhile but it will all come together.

Mindy - Hang in there, the 170's are just around the corner.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I think taking that pic really helped me re-energize my journey. :)

Hope you all had a good Monday! Heading to bed, so I'll try to post more tomorrow.

*sigh* Ok so I know I'm not eligible anymore for the title. I can't believe what a challenge it has been to get the computer lately. when this challenge started I thought I would never ever miss a weigh in day, but instead I missed 3. :-(

Good Job everyone keep up the good work!

Good Wednesday morning to you all. I have missed exercising yesterday and Saturday but for the most part I have been doing level 2 of the 30 day Shred. I only lost one pound last week but i have been very snacky lately. I usely only have my scheduled snacks but lately when I get home from work I think things like only a few cheezits won't hurt or a couple of almonds here or there and as you are guessing I can't stop at a few, which is why I refrain from crackers/chips/fries. Last night we were at a football scrimmage for 2 of my sons and before I new it i had eaten 5 BBQ potato chips. When my kids are playing I get nervous and I was just eating out of habit so I am definately going to have to stop that. Saturday is the Football jamboree and I am going equiped with frutis and quick veggies like carrot sticks. I just need to be more diligent in my planning. I still have a lot of weight to loose so I need to stay on track.

Hope everyone is doing well and stays on plan!!!

I have a question for everyone...What are your favorite healthy snacks?

RangerChic

Favorite healthy snacks would be Clif and Cascadian Farms bars. I'm a huge fan of anything Clif and Cascadian Farms makes. I have yet to find one of their bars that I didn't like.

Before I forget I wanted to see if anyone was interested in being team leader for the next challenge. I have several trips planned so didn't think it would work with my schedule. If you are interested drop Dixie (blue team leader) a PM and let her know. In the near future she will be posting the information for the next challenge.

OK.... snakes for me are mostly fruit; I especially love frozen grapes. I also have found that the cheddar Quakes (mini rice cakes) taste like cheese doodles, one of my favorite chip like snacks.

I'm taking a break from the treadmill today due to a blister that got stepped on by one of the dogs. I never new a blister could hurt so bad.

Mikayla - Good to see you still posting. You are always welcome here.

I've gotten off track, due to camping etc.
I think it's the lack of a consistent routine due to kids in day camps, camping on the weekends & my working split shifts (I can come up with loads of excuses! LOL)
But I'm trying to get back on track between now & the 14th (when we go on our next camping trip)...
Shannon-you look great!
Cat- I tried looking at your hike pics but the link didn't work?!
Amy- 1 lb at a time & before you know it you'll be at your next goal!

Need to get ready for work- have a great rest of the day!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far. I've been getting back into the work routine and focusing on staying on plan. Tried to make it to the gym but have been working overtime since I've been back and I'm just exhausted! (You would think there'd be less of this at a gov't. job, not more - ha!)

My favorite healthy snacks: raw zucchini chips, cauliflower flowerets, fruit (particularly cherries, cantaloupe, or watermelon), almonds

CAT, I would be interested in doing it since I was thinking I can't do another challenge myself (does the leader have to be *in* the challenge? I'm still losing a few/maintaining for another 6lbs, but that's it). If so, let me know.

Got my TOM yesterday, so hoping the scale is friendly to me Saturday. Though, if it's not this weekend, if it makes up for it next, I'm okay with that too. :)

Shannon, I don't think it would be a problem. Just drop Dixie a note and confirm.

Busy, crazy couple of days around here. Haven't worked out in 2 days, so I made sure I did tonight. Walk/jog 3 miles. TOM is fast approaching and raising havoc. Weight is way up. I am feeling stuck in a rut. When I was 191, I got stuck there for a long time. Now I am 181-183 and feel stuck there. Why is it so difficult to get to that new decade??

I think sometimes our bodies just take awhile to adjust to its new size and fuel requirements before letting go of more weight. Kind of like it's resetting itself. Hang in there, keep watching what you're eating and working out and you'll get there! :)

Hey all, TGIF!!!

I think I'm going to at least be back down to 131 this weekend, I can just feel it. Even though TOM is on, I feel "thinner" if that makes sense. :)
Anywho, heading out for my walk/run. Have a great one all!

TGIF is right! Things have been way too intense at work lately - only been back for 4 days and I'm ready for another vacation!! On the bright side, have been sticking to plan really well since we got back. The only question is whether it'll be enough to undo the damage I did while I was gone. We'll see. Jeans are fitting looser, so I'm hopeful.

Ok well, I'm at 131.5 this morning which is less than I was last week, but still .5 higher than I hoped. Anyway, it's a loss! Still have TOM and all, so hopefully, next week will be 130 or 130.5 at the very least.

Not much to report. Still waiting for TOM and hoping for that bit of a loss.

Have a great weekend!!

I've been sick for a few days, hope it will help my weight loss this week, haha...

Wow, this is an odd new problem to have. I had 1800 cal to eat today (with the zig zagging, it was originally a 1600 cal day, but missed 100cal a couple of days, so those added on), and here it is 11pm and I have eaten 1500 cal and cannot stomach another morsel. Not sure if I should try to eat more tomorrow or let it go..

Morning ladies, just wanted to pop in and see how everyone was doing. Hope you all are having a nice weekend. I've been working on getting the house clean and packing before I leave on Wednesday.

I'm super excited about my trip but have packed WAY too much "stuff". I usually only take a small pullcart and shoulder bag but this time. I have a decent sized bag to check plus my regular bags. Winter clothes and layering on a cruise just seems wrong.

I will get stats posted Tuesday but next week they will not get done until Thursday.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend.

Hi everyone!! Glad to see everyone has been sticking with it (unlike me). Well, we drove across the country to PA...had an awesome summer with family...drove back to CA and I will fly home to PA on Weds. Whew..what a summer but it was a blast!! Unfortunately it was absolutely terrible for my weight, but I am trying not to stress and will just jump back on the wagon Thursday!! It will come back off and I will definately be joing the fall challenge...I need it!!
CAT - where are you headed? I still have the trip to Yellowstone in Sept and I am really looking forward to it. Have fun wherever you are off to!

Shannon - great work... it would be great if you were the next leader!

Well, just wanted to touch base. can't believe summer is almost over!

Shannon- I have that problem all the time. I don't eat enough. It is 10:00 pm and I have eaten 1060 calories. How do I do that??? I will probably have a small snack before bed, but not much.

Cat- Have fun.

TOM arrived today. I am hoping with all hope that he takes a few pounds with him when he goes. Can I please see the 170's??? I am really tired of these low 180's.

Good Luck Shannon, with your new job as teamleader :)

I'm still in bed, getting over the flu, but being off food for a few days does help the weight loss.. I hope it doesn't backfire next week!

Tanya - I am doing an Alaskan cruise.

Miriam - Sure hope you are better soon.

Mindy - Hang in there.... the 170's are coming.

Shannon - I can't think of a better person to lead the Red Team. Thank you!! If you would like my Excel spreadsheet send me your email address via PM and I'll email it to you.

Still no progress on the darn scale today. I am getting seriously annoyed. I want those 170's so bad and they are just not getting here. :( Can I have a little hissy fit now??? I will have to report a gain for weigh-in also. BLAH!!!!

Shannon- Congrats and good luck with the team leader job. I'm sure you will be good at it.

Sorry team, I'm up 2 pounds this week. I had a little too much fun in Vegas, but was hoping I'd have worked all that fun off by today. Wishful thinking on my part apparently :(

OK.... Red Team I have a small rant.

Please do not post your WI after the deadline (Monday at 11:59pm), give yourself an extra freebie, or change your numbers.

Just about every week this happens and it really messes up the numbers for the TEAM.

There will be a delay in this weeks stats until I hear from from Dee and find out how we want to handle this.

I've got a great deal I need to do today before I leave tomorrow morning and will do my best to get this taken care of.

Dixie will be doing some clean up (deleting those that are out of the challenge) on the WI thread. If you want a record of your weekly weigh ins now is the time to secure those.

Ack, forgot to post my weight in the official thread. Sorry about that all. Guess I'm using my last freebie.

Well ladies I am out of here until the 20th. Don't forget stats for next week will not be posted until Thursday. I'm going to go ahead and start a "Week 12/13" chat thread so be sure to look for it.

Have a good week!!!
