Today was my weigh in day and I'm down 2lbs but technically they would have been lost in July so I don't know if they count. Since this is the first of August my current weight is 227 and I'll weigh in next Saturday...hopefully with good news (although, I'm going to a wedding Friday night so I'll have to dance my pants off to keep the calories down!! LOL)

ok I am going to say some curse words here f**k, s**t, GDMF
done now......how can I unofficial days be down 1.0 for the week and on the day it counts be +1????
geeez what a bumpy ride......ate all points every day still had 11 out of 35 flex and 29 ap points that I did not touch and still gained!
ok really done now LOL next week I will drop a ton (?)

nancylmrn I hate it for you that you are up this week.......I know how frustrating that is.......but I bet that you have a big loss next week when your body has a chance to catch up with those 29 awesome activity points! Man - I wish I could just get 10 activity points in! :)
I used to weigh myself just about every day....but I would fluctuate so much just on a daily basis, that I found it frustrating. Then, I read some posts on here that encouraged me to just weigh in once each week and that has really worked out better for me.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi there Nancy,
I thought that if I can offer some insight on the plateau/activity points ... this info was like pulling teeth from my leader (when I attended meetings) - but finally she told me this info & I did see results when I worked the plan :dizzy:
** when Weight Watchers designed the points plan & encouraged exercising, it was intended for people who were not previously physically active & therefore activity would considered to be at low-moderate **
** they did not anticipate for people to be "exercising" more than 4 pts/day (& that's why it says in the WW books something like "you can choose to use or not to use your activity points") **
* it is not advisable to leave more than 3 or 4 pts remaining at the end of each day (if you exercised, then log those pts, use all or some if you need to achieve either a zero pts balance or 3-4pts) *
- there is a method to the points calculation madness - do not fall into the trap of "if I don't eat all my points ie. 8 remaining at the end of the day I'll lose more weight" b/c your body will not consume enough calories & will go into starvation mode.
so if your total daily AP is for example = 6 (workout= 4 + 45min walk = 2), try to use up at least 2 of those points (easily 1cup of skim milk, a svg of cheese, or some a Skinny Cow ice cream)
Stick with it!! You Go Girl!! :woops:

I'll give it another week. If I don't budge it's Wendie Plan maybe and shake up my workout routine.

Sorry I have been MIA. I was at a wedding last weekend and decided to just weigh in this weekend.
Yesterday I was at 221.5. I lost 4 lbs last in August, but I am actually .5 above my last weigh in back in July. That's not bad considering I was in Vegas and nearly every meal was a buffet.

Hello, all. I have struggled with weight since very young. I have tried diet after diet but always get discouraged and give up. I always do better if I have "partner" to tackle the journey with. Last year, I started WW at home with a co-worker. We both were doing okay but she decided it was too hard and quit. After doing it alone for a month, I too threw my hands up in the air and went back to my old eating habits.
My husband and I are ready to start trying for our first child. After realizing lately that my closet seems to be shrinking all of my clothes, I bought a scale this morning and weighed myself. WOW --- 258.8 lbs. The largest I have ever been in my life. After crying for a good hour, I went grocery shopping and I am prepared to start this journey once again starting tomorrow. I just remembered this website. Not sure why I forgot about it before.
Everyone here always seemed so helpful. I never really posted due to embarrassment, I just read.
This time, I will be posting no matter how embarrassing. I think the help on here will be exactly what I need to remind myself that I am not alone.
Good luck to everyone. It looks like you are all doing VERY WELL. Keep up the good work.

Hopped on the scale this morning.. After a week of long walks and great food I am down 2.4. I have now lost 16 pounds with Weight Watchers. Which puts me at 150. I am so excited to think that next week I might be in the 140's. I havent been there in 5 years... I also go a new haircut on Friday. I cut off 12 inches of my hair into a cute little bob.. My friend Whitney was like "Wow your hair cut makes you look so skinny" that is when I had to tell here well it's not just the hair cut.. I have lost 16 pounds!!!
LOL

On an off the threads for the past couple of years. I have been watching people at school - parents, teachers, staff, etc. lose weight with WW for the past couple of years, but never tried it. I started 4 weeks ago and have lost 10 lbs as of this morning...oh yeah, I better change my stats! I am finding the points system much easier than counting all the calories and fat grams, etc. Thanks for everyone's inspiring tales. I'll keep reading to keep up the positives of dieting.

Hi Chickies!
I started weight watchers on August 17, but decided to do Thursday as my official weigh in day. My starting weight was 188.6 (The day I started and last Thursday) and my current weight is 188.2. Soooo not what I expected it to be. I have uh oh'd my points a couple of days, but for the most part I have done good. I started exercising with the Wii My Fitness Coach Tuesday. I probably haven't been doing it long enough to make a differnce in weight, but boy do my muscles sure know something is going on.
Any tips/advice anyone has to offer would be great. I am kinda disappointed since when I was doing daily weigh ins and not counting them I got down to 187.4.
I look forward to having you all as a support group. I think I'm going to need it.

s200n - great job on the loss this week!
Welcome boatingmommy.
Kasey - don't worry, I'm sure you'll see the loss at your next weigh in. I think I may have mentioned before that I had to stop weighing myself too often, because the daily fluctuations drove me nuts! Keep on exercising and keep journaling. You'll do great! :D

Good morning, all. I weighed this morning and despite a few set backs last week, I still lost 2.6 lbs. :D Considering that I was off points a few days last week, that is a lot better than I expected. Thank you all for welcoming me. It is much appreciated.
Kasey - don't get discouraged. It will take your body a little time to get used to the dietary and activity changes in your life. Even though it was .4 lbs, it's still a loss and I think you should be proud of it ;)
Michelle - congrats on getting rid of the 7 lbs!
ernurse - way to go!! :carrot: That's a huge loss. People here are wonderful; they'll be a huge help for you. Welcome!
