It has been soooo hot and muggy here these past few days. It was almost 100 deg. with high humidity. I thought that this might be the type of weather you experience, ledom, in the summer. We have gotten some cooler air from Canada and it seems so refreshing.

ledom~I have been where you are now re: diet & exercise for the past year. I don't know how to get out of this slump. I honestly feel like a slug. I hope you had a good 4th of July, our's was rather quiet. We spent most of the day with some friends and family down to the lake. You must be relieved that your D's dental surgery is behind her. Does she have a sore throat at all? When I had my wisdom teeth out, just one side of my throat was sore, but not too bad. The best part of having my wisdom teeth out were the pain killers. Did they ever make me feel good:dizzy: I wish your D a speedy recovery.

judi~Welcome back. I'm glad you made it home safely. Your new RV sounds really nice. Wen will you get it? 4 lb. isn't bad. Once you start back to eating and exercising they will come off in no time. It's very hard to eat right on the road, and when you are travelling in a vehicle most of the day, it's very hard to get any exercise.

Hi Lana, I hope you are enjoying your summer so far.

Take care and have a great day.

the slump....that is where I am too.

Alice, hopefully we will get the RV before the next trip. The one that we want is in Oregon and there are complications with financing and bringing RV's into Canada. Your 4th of July sounded very inviting. It must be so great to have a place at the lake.

Ledom, send warm wishes along to your D...poor girl! I am glad it all went ok.

The weather here has been pleasant...not too hot or too cold. It is so nice to be up at six and see the sun already shining.

Morning Lana!

good to hear from you.

Lana, I have been watching that heat wave in the n.e. and yes, you have been getting a sample of summer weather in my area. Actually we have had a mild (for us) summer, though it is starting to get uncomfortable. Sometimes it starts much earlier than this though.

Poor D, basically she is ok but she is uncomfortable. Her biggest prob. is with nausea. I don't know if it is because she is swallowing a little blood or if it is the pain pills. No complaint of a sore throat yet, I hope she'll be spared that discomfort. I am getting pretty worn out too, not getting over 4 hrs. of sleep at a time because I have been getting up to give her meds. We'll both be happy when this passes. Vacation is sounding good right now, we both just want to get out of town and a change of scenery. I think by late next week we'll be able to leave it all behind for a couple day jaunt up to the north part of the state where we like to go for short trips.

Yesterday I was able to maintain the PMD for the most part - just a couple bites of D's pudding was as far as I strayed. Hoping for another day of good behavior.

Have a good day everyone.

Ledom, I am sorry to hear about your poor D's discomfort! Give her a hug for me. My D came over last night. She bought a 2nd hand Nikon in mint condition to learn the photography basics. She has a digital camera and a point & shoot but wanted a more hands on approach. We are going on a photo shoot next week.

I have my guest here. It is ok. I am tired though still from the last trip.

Lana sorry to hear about the heat.

Are you at the lake this weekend Alice?

I love summer!!!:D

ledom

Alice, I think I addressed my comments on your heat wave to Lana. Sorry. I wonder if it is affecting Lana's neck of the woods as well? Have you gotten cooled off yet?

D is doing much better in a way, the nausea has passed but now she has a migraine. Poor child, she never even gets a headache - I can only guess it is a combination of everything she has been through. Luckily she (and I) got a lot of rest yesterday.

Well back to the weather, it is HOT HOT HOT here. Our summer has finally begun in earnest, it is steamy hot because we are also getting these little afternoon showers.

Judi, that is neat about your daughter and her camera. What a nice thing for you to be able to share.

I am reading one of your favorite authors judi. I got Maeve Benchy's new paperback, Scarlet Feather. I have read 1/2 the book in the last day, wouldn't be surprised if I finished it today as that is about all I am doing.

Take care all.

The weather these past 2 days is like fall!!! It's been rather cool, in the 70's and windy. We've had mostly clouds today. It seems to go from one extreme to the other. We have been busy today down to the cottage getting rid of a lot of accumulated junk.

ledom~I read Scarlett Feather a couple of months ago and enjoyed it very much. How do you like the book? Oh, your poor D and what she is going through. I hope she's better soon. Migrains are not any fun:(

judi~That's wonderful about your daughter wanting to learn more about shooting photos. She will have a good teacher.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Well, it is Monday morning and I feel hopeful for a better week. I just finished a walk and though at 7:15 I am drenched in sweat - it would be impossible later in the day because of the heat.

D is feeling almost back to normal. We have an outing planned today and she is so excited just to be getting out of the house. My cleaning and cooking are 85 percent done for book club on Wed. which is totally unlike me. Life is good.

Thurs. we are getting out of town for a couple of days. I think it will give me a whole new perspective on things to view them from a distance.

Now is such an exciting time for D. We are busy getting her ready to move on the 25th of August, one of our stops today is to a new shop in town that specializes in organizer type furniture and gadgets, this is right up her alley. (Can't believe she is a daughter of mine in that regard.) The day before her surgery last week she and her roomate went to the college and actually got to go into the room they have been assigned. She is so excited - seeing the room seemed to take away her anxiety about everything. Also, she has been getting some phone calls and invitations from a boy I totally approve of. He has been in her class since 3rd grade but finished highschool a year early and went away to college. He works in the library during the summer. A smart boy with a good work ethic, what more could a mother wish for  . Guess I have to watch myself though, last night I told her I approved of him and she rolled her eyes and said I'd made that more than obvious. SO, guess I better cool it - could be the kiss of death if I approve too vigorously.

Kittys are well, Ricky Martin is still living in the peach tree in the back yard. I believe you are right Alice, that some big animal frightened him. Either that or he was kidnapped by aliens, he is being very weird still.

Ya'll have a good day.

My guest is gone (discreet...yahoo! yahoo!) So I am on my own.

I shudder even to think about weight loss...but now that things will be more or less normal I am going to start treadmilling regularly.

I bought some thongs with fruit on them (very Carmen Miranda-ish). Thongs that go on your feet that is...not those other kind.

Alice, we have cool fall like weather too. What a strange summer. Forget fall...I am not ready for fall.

Ledom...Things sound so nice for your D. That is wonderful! I am always the happiest I can be when I know my D is HAPPY! My D stayed overnight on Sat. just impulsively...I love that! On Wed. we are supposed to go out and do a photo shoot. And good for you and your early morning walk already...good way to start the day and probably an indication of a good upcoming week. Poor Ricky...could it be that he just likes the tree???

Alice, how is that Lacee doing?

Hmmm, I haven't read that book...I should pick it up.

I hope you all have a super day. I feel happy this morning!!!

It's starting to get hot again, but it's only going to last a couple of days before we get into the cool 70's again. I totally agree with you judi, this is a very strange summer. DH & I went for our walk very early this morning before it started to get hot. Over the weekend we had smoke from a Canadian forest fire near Quebec. Sun. morning the sky was this eerie yellow and the sun was an orange red. The winds today are blowing the smoke away, but we may see more of the smoke towards week's end.

ledom~That's neat your D got to see her dorm room. She must be getting very excited about going away to college. I'm glad that she is recovering nicely from her surgery. So sorry to hear that Ricky Martin isn't over his fright. We had a dog once that we think was frightened by a bear, for the longest time she wouldn't go out at night without a human accompanying her, it was up here when it happened.

judi~What a nice surprise your D staying overnight on impulse. I hope you have a great shoot on Wed. Miz Lacee is as bratty as ever. We took her down to the lake swimming when it was unbearably hot last week, and she was not a happy camper. Friends of our's were down with their dog, a cousin was there with her dog, thankfully not at the same time, they took turns. Have you gotten any word about the French Bulldog? How is Marley doing?

I hope you both had a good Monday. Take care.

Well, I spoke too soon. D and I have had an awful day. She has been deathly ill with nausea. I finally took her back to the Dr., it appears that everything is going well with the surgery healing but that maybe she has a stomach virus. It is going around here. We'll keep an out and see how she progresses.

Yes R.M. definately LIKES the tree, he drapes himself and naps there all day long.

Ledom, I am SO SORRY to hear your D. has maybe caught a bug on top of everything else. Poor kid, give her a big hug from us:love: The news about her school is great though.

Alice, no I haven't heard anything yet about the French Bulldog. I bought a book on them and I think they are such cuties. How is Lacee standing the heat? We are supposed to be in for a few days of real hot weather. Are you spending most of your time at the cottage?

I had the gardener move my lilacs from down in the garden to the top of the hill near my house. Hope they like that better and will get healthy. I am feeling quite happy about my yard. It is starting to look like it is going to come together finally.

Same old...same old in the diet dept.:^:

ledom, I am awfully sorry that your D caught a stomach virus, especially ontop of having wisdom teeth removed. I hope she feels better really soon. I imagine it must be cool for R.M. in the tree while he naps.

judi, no I haven't been spending too much time down to the cottage. It has been too chilly these past few days, it's a lot warmer away from the water. My cousin, who I spend 2 weeks with in the summer, will be arriving Sun. for her vacation, and I will be going down then. Lacee doesn't seem to mind the heat very much. No matter how hot it is she likes to lie in the sun.:?: Does Marley or Bentley like to lay in the sun no matter how hot it gets?

The dieting dept. is also like that with me...same old..same old. I just can't seem to get motivated.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

D is feeling better this a.m., but weak and still in bed. Whew, I can't tell you how horrible yesterday was - she kind of scared me. We will get through this and neither of us can wait. The temps aren't helping! We have hit our summer stride w/ 100 plus the last couple days and not much releif in sight. Just makes you not wanna do nuthin'!!!

I am just disgusted with myself right now, can't seem to get a grip on diet and exercise and I am doing just what I have done so many times before - letting myself go and ruining my hard work of last winter. I think I need a therapist!!!!

Well, aside from that everything is fine.

Cats love the hot weather, it is the cold weather that turns them back into indoor kitties. All 3 of them complain when I bring them in at night.

Alice I'll trade you a few of my hot degrees for a few of your cool ones?!?!?!?

judi, how long have you been in your house? Landscaping does take time to settle in and look like you want it. I love lilacs. My mother grows them. Now I have this huge, and I mean huge, bouquet of white lilies that she grew. I have a large fan shaped vase that they are in and I put them in the fireplace, they fill it up. I think they are so pretty but the smell gets to me a bit. This seems the place that they show up best without overpowering me with that sweet smell.

Talk to you later.

judi
07-09-2002, 04:16 PM
in the matter of lilac smells, I mean...I love strong flower smells. The white is always more fragrant too. We built our house about 9 years ago and have been in it about 8. Your mom sounds like she is such a good gardener. My mom and grandmother used to love gardening too. Gardening and cooking..both.

Alice, Bentley loves to find a patch of sun and lie in it. We especially noticed that when we went to Ca. with him ...while Marley doesn't like the sun. He looks for shade even though his coat is short right now. The breed originated in TIbet maybe that has something to do with it. But Bentley can't get enough of the sun!!

I hope your D is on the mend, Ledom...the poor girl!

DH is home today. So nice when he is at home.

I took a major food haul to the food bank. I am going to quit stock piling food like there is going to be a depression or something. It felt good and it cleaned out my cupboard and pantry. I am on a new thing...I am trying not to be such a "consumer" of stuff. I plan instead of getting new to "maintain" what I have...yard, house etc. spend money on maintaining stuff instead of adding to a burgeoning pile of c*&p! I think my love of buying and eating are connected somehow.

Time for an afternoon nap!

After yesterday's humidity today is rather refreshing. DH & I just got back from our walk. We met a friend who was on her daily walk and she inspired us to go farther. While we were on our walk, a lady was walking her Chocolate Lab in a nearby field, and another couple walked by us with a Yorkshire Terrier. The Yorkie barked at us, then it was trying to get at the Lab. All the way down the street you could hear the Yorkie yapping at the Lab. I just bet the Yorkie would've won in that fight!

ledom, I'm so glad that your D is doing better. You both will get through this. I can relate to your 100+ deg. weather. When we had the heatwave last week the only place you could get cool was in the water. I would be more than happy to send you some of this cool air we've been having;) I also love the smell of lilacs. Our lilac bush is right outside our bedroom window. When I open the bedroom window whenever they are in bloom, the bedroom smells sooooo nice!

judi, Marley is the smart one looking for shade. Shamrock was the same way about lying in the sun, after she was diagnosed with a heart murmur that was a no-no. Before Shamrock we had 2 Bostons at the same time, and whenever the heat came on in the winter they would sit on the registers and their bellies would be pink:eek: My MIL gave DH & I a purple lilac cutting and a white lilac cutting from her trees. The white lilac for some reason didn't take, only the purple one took. When we moved I wanted to take it with me, but DH said no. I nurtured that bush for years to get it to where it was and I was so sad to leave it behind.

I hope you both enjoy your day!

I meant to tell you Judi - I hear you on not aquiring more things. I am also trying to lighten up. When I visualize how I'll spend my time when D leaves home this fall I think of things like paring down objects in my house.

I hit a real low last night in terms of how I feel about what I am doing to myself with this prolonged period of in-activity and overeating. I am really really sick of it and am ready to snap out of it. Today is going to be a challenge as I am having all the ladies over tonight but I don't even think that will stand in my way. Enough is enough. I am ready to stop it!

I feel wiped out this a.m. I was planning to get up and do all this STUFF this a.m., but I just feel puny. Think I'll go back to bed and just do LESS stuff in preparation for tonight. I am hoping I'm not getting the stomach thing.

Well, I just wanted to check in.

Oh, I love the smell of lilacs too - it is just the lilys that get to me. My mother grows flowers for wholesale to local florists and I am a beneficiary of her talents. She took this up when she retired from bookeeping almost 20 yrs. At 78 my mother is one amazing woman.

judi

Don't be too hard on yourself Ledom, maybe give yourself the summer off...then when you D. leaves in fall you will be on to a new phase of your life. ..then you can really get going.

Your Mom does sound like quite a women...lucky you to get the flowers and veggies!!

Alice, Bentley is on a perscription dog food...he has allergies:( and is not going to be allowed any snacking at all. He LIVES to mooch and eat but he lost a pound this month. Poor Boston! He has antihistamine pills & salve too. He went to the vet yesterday, it was a second opinion and he definitely has some problems. My poor D. she loves him so much so she is all stressed. He also has 2 tiny warts on his lip and they can't take them off. (Non transferable to humans so we don't have to worry.) They are coming over tomorrow to spend the night.

I am reading "Tender at the Bone", it is by the editor of GOURMET, it is about growing up and food. Very good. I am also having the most relaxing summer read with Rosamunde Pilcher's "Coming Home."

Yes, Ledom...downsizing is in order for me...well, if I can't exactly downsize I don't plan to expand in any way.

My cleaning lady broke her hip. It was awful. She said she was asleep on her couch and jumped up for the phone and her leg was asleep. She fell down and CRACK! She had to have an entire hip replacement. I think I am going to do my own cleaning now...I can't imagine finding someone as good as her and that I will like so much. It will be a way to burn some calories. I was even out gardening early this morning.

It is going to be hot here today.

Well have a good 'un!

Another cool crisp day, more like early Oct. than July! It was so cold last night I was actually wearing my winter bathrobe! It's supposed to start getting warmer, so they say.

Lightening things in the house seems to be in the air this year. We've cleaned out a lot of junk in the cottage and we are doing some serious cleaning out in our house. Every Aug. our volunteer fire dept. has a yard sale. They take anything and everything, so every week DH loads his pickup and drops everything off.

ledom, I agree with judi not to be so hard on yourself. There will be a moment when everything will "click" together and you will get back to dieting. Yesterday a GF & I were talking, as we usually do, about dieting (as we were eating our fried scallops & fried clams:o ) She said something that really made a lot of sense. She read somewhere that the best diet is to eat smaller portions of the foods you normally eat and exercise.

judi, poor Bentley. What is he allergic to? Your D must be beside herself. Is it something he'll grow out of? Lacee is a first class moocher. The breeder fed her at the table from the start, and I didn't have the heart to stop the habit. When Lacee was a puppy she had a lot of pimple type bumps around her incision when we had her spayed, then she developed them on her snout. The vet said not to let her eat out of plastic dishes, or let her play with plastic chew toys, as there are a lot of chemicals in them that can cause allergies. Now she eats out of ceramic dishes, and when we're travelling, metal dishes. We also had the same problem with Shamrock. Many years ago, we had another Boston that was allergic to fleas. I hope he's better soon. That's awful about your housekeeper. I hope she'll be up and around soon.

I'm cooled down from my walk and it's time to make breakfast. Take care and have a great day.

Ahhh. I am testing my sea legs this morning. I got so sick yesterday. The stomach virus that D had. I had to cancel bookclub at the last minute. I woke up feeling settled in my stomach a bit and I don't feel like I have a fever, but I do have splitting a headache. Will head straight back to bed in a minute. We postponed our little trip until next week.

Thanks for your kind words on the dieting front. I know I'll get it back, I just don't want to lose everything I worked so hard for before I do. Am living on popsicles at the moment.

Sorry to hear you caught the dreaded bug Ledom. That is a drag. Hope it is a short lived one.

Limoges and Lacee;) "They" think Bentley is allergic to meat and meat by products. He can only eat some "potato protein perscription" thing. Poor guy, tonight after I thought he had gone to bed (my D. and he are here) I opened a can of beef stew up for Marley and wouldn't you know it ...hisself came up the stairs to check things out. He looked so deprived. I felt so sorry for him.

I got a book on the remainder table at Chapter's called "Fat Chat with Tamara" (or How I lost a 100 pounds and you can too) by Tamara Hill...8 simple secrets and 1 NB step...as soon as I found out what they are I will pass them along. I need INSPIRATION.

Today the art gallery in Vancouver had a showing of paintings by Georgia O'Keefe, Frida Kahlo and Emily Carr. My THREE favourite women painters, it was wonderful. There were also films about the artists and their work. It was such a thrilling exhibition. I plan to go again and revel in it. The Vancouver art gallery has a big collection of Emily Carr and this spring I went to the Georgia O'Keefe Gallery in Santa Fe. I saw a show in San Diego of Frida Kahlo and other Mexican painters in the 80's in San Diego. I have read numerous biographies about these three women and find them as people totally fascinating.

The weather here is around the 80's...hot enough but not too hot.

ledom, that's awful you catching that stomach virus and having to postpone your trip. I hope you're feeling better soon.

judi, poor Bentley being allergic to meat. :( Doesn't it break your heart when Bentley looks up at you with those big brown eyes and cute little face and you can't give him anything? Well, for that matter, any dog's face:^: I would definitely be interested in those 8 secrets to lose weight. I know I need SOMETHING!!! The art exhibit you went to sounds very interesting. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I will be bringing my food (notice that was first on my mind?) and clothing down to the cottage for my 2 week stay with my cousin. According to the weather people, next week should be a glorious week! At least if I forget anything I don't live very far.

Take care and have a great day!

ledom
07-12-2002, 09:49 AM
Alice, you must be so excited about your getaway. When does it officially begin?

judi, I am SO jealous! I would love to see that exhibit. Good for you for taking full advantage of that opportunity. I was at the Georgia O'Keefe museum a couple years back. I'd love to see an original Frida Kahlo. I only recently became familiar with Emily Carr. Right now I am reading a book that is very much about her subject matter. It is Annie Dillard's book, The Living - which is set in the Pacific Northewest beginning with the first white settlers and following a family through about three generations.

I am feeling much better now. Whew! That was nasty stuff and I am glad it is over. D is finally looking as if she is making a full recovery - we have had a rough couple of weeks and are ready to begin enjoying summer again.

One good thing though - I rediscovered fruit popsicles. What a great treat, they have 40 calories and are as refreshing as ice cream.

aleka

ledom, I'm glad that you are feeling better. Speaking of popsicles. Have you ever tried the Welch's sugar-free juice bars? They are really delish. I have discovered sugar-free fudgsicles! I will be heading to the cottage tomorrow, as that's when my cousin is due to arrive. I am really looking forward to seeing her!

Hi judi  Are you still having hot weather?

Hope you both have a great weekend.

ledom
07-13-2002, 09:45 AM
Have a WONDERFUL two weeks on the lake. Will you be able to check in with us during that time? I will check out those Welch's juice bars.

Wierd how bad things can turn you around a bit. Starting off with a really empty and sensitive stomach from my virus, I have been concentrating on SHRINKING it. Just not eating as much or as often.

I will alway start this thread with the PMD diet because I think it is nutritionally sound and that it works. That said, you gotta mix things up to keep from getting bored with an attention span and screwed up diet mentality like mine. Anyway, I do seem to be doing better with food the last few days. Maybe when I feel stronger with this attitude I'll start back with my exercise. I am not weighing yet, I just can't bring myself to.

I have been eating something really nice since the summer produce started coming in. I use olive oil to sautee eggplant, make a tomato sauce by sauteeing tomaotes in olive oil. Then I layer the eggplant, crumbled feta, and the tomatoes with a sprinkle of italian seaoning and bake about 45 minutes. cover the dish for the 1st 40 minutes. Then I cook up a little whole wheat pasta and have it together. It is so tasty.

Ledom, a good book (one of the many) on Emily Carr is by Maria Tippet. She lives here part time on the island and teaches at Cambridge. I went to both Emily Carr's houses in Victoria, one that she built (written about in "The House of All Sorts") and her familial home. The show was so good on the 3 artists, I plan to go again next week.

Have a fabulous time at the cottage Alice. It must be SOOO nice there. Bentley, is giving us all a hard time by mooching and we can't give him a thing:( He is starting to look all eyes and legs. He is going to the vet again in a couple of weeks. We try to explain to him why we can no longer share goodies with him but alas I don't think it is making much of impact.

We are having a nice time with the D, the dog and the BF. Way too much eating though. I did manage to resist dessert though, a blueberry pudding with a cake topping that everyone raved about.

Did you hear the CNN news on the connection between fat and cancer...scary.

I don't want to go near the scale and am content to wait out the month.

Today there is a little artisan fair here that we are going to. They have beautiful hand crafted things, baking, paintings etc. Last week I bought a distressed & decoupaged spice cupboard and a bathroom cabinet. My D wants to get some of the same. I know I am down sizing but this is helping to organize. The prices are so good too...one can have a handcrafted thing for little more than the price of a manufactured thing.

Hi Lana and Shebacat!

Everyone have a good weekend:strong:

That news report on cancer and overweight caught my attention too.

Too bad we can't have the help with our diet problems that poor Bentley has. Sometimes that just seems to be about what I would need to be successful, someone witholding food.

I am not a regular Oprah watcher but recently saw her show. She is looking really good again. She is one TV personality I relate to. Keeping a steady bead on keeping your weight down is HARD! But it cheers and inspires me to see her never giving up in the end.

judi
07-13-2002, 04:17 PM
Yes, she inspires me too. It is about never giving up...no matter how long it takes to get one's #$%* together. I have decided to do a little tithe for the food bank on whatever grocery I buy now. It reminds me to think of others and that NOT everything is about food, eating it, cooking it, stock piling it.

Probably that cancer thing might motivate me more than vanity. My mom was overweight most of her life and then she lost a lot of weight without trying and then had cancer and didn't find out until it was too late to treat it. Now I am wondering if her weight was the cause of it.

Went out to dinner with friends last night. After dinner we went back to their cottage and had some belated Carvel Ice Cream Birthday Cake. It was chocolate, yummy, but felt sick the rest of the night. I keep forgetting that I can no longer eat chocolate ice cream!

I did not see that CNN news story about overweight and cancer. Did it say that being overweight causes cancer or just certain cancers? I have one question though. Don't thin people get cancer too? My mother was overweight most of her life, she had cancer, but she also smoked too much.

After a few errands I am off to the cottage! I will be coming home every day to take my shower, I'm only a hop..skip..and a jump from home so I'll be checking in to see what you guys are up to.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

mornin'

Hi Alice! The thing with being fat apparently is that the fat stores some toxins in the body...yuck! Sure, thin people get cancer but think about it this way...look at all the old people around, lots of them right? But, you see very few really fat old people...most of them are thin. It is scary.

I found I feel terrible after eating ice cream too now. I used to eat it no problem but now I feel awful. I had some about 2 weeks ago and it did not work its former magic. Good, I say. Now if I could get to the same place with sour cream, cheese etc. I also no longer can eat peanuts without feeling queasy...it is the fat in the stuff. Peanuts used to be a trigger food.

I now have cable internet and it is so fast...I have been printing off new recipes to try like crazy.

Enjoy the cottage..lucky you:cool: !!!

mornin' Ledom!

It's good to hear from everyone this a.m. I am just back from an early paddle. My first one in almost 2 weeks. It was particularly nice. Calm winds and even somewhat cool - some distant thunder made it a little threatening and I didn't dawdle like I might have but I got in 3 hrs. of steady paddling. The thing is, 3 hrs. of paddling feels like about and hour to me. I am so captivated that time flies.

I weighed last night, and while I am not happy I found I was down 5 lbs. from about 3 weeks ago. That is very very good for my morale.

Well, I won't chat long today. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Way to go Ledom:strong: 3 hours paddling and a weight LOSS! I'd say that was a good day:cool:

Alice, I hope you are having sublime weather at the cottage and a great visit too.

I am looking forward to week, I have a few little things planned. The weather is in the high 70's and it was nice to wake up in a room flooded with sun light this morning.

Came home to take my shower, I'm waiting around until I go to the drugstore to pick up some prescriptions, so thought I'd check in.

ledom, congratulations on the weight loss and 3 hrs. of kayaking. :smoking:

judi, so far the weather has been fantastic, but I think we may have some T/storms come through later.

Take care and have a great day!
