Hey all - quick check in :)

Last night I lifted weights. It was the first time in a LONG time that I went to the gym 3 times in a row! I plan on going again tonight for an hour of cardio. Was perfectly on plan yesterday - let's keep it up today!

I had a good day yesterday too. Stayed on track with my food and did 45 minutes treadmill, 45 minutes mega mix workout class.

I haven't lost any weight but I def feel I've lost an inch give or take a little.

I have been tempted and hungry all day, but managed to stay away from the donuts at work and remain binge free for the day. I didn't do perfect, but I did pretty dang good for everything I was faced with! I haven't been lifting for the past 2 nights at the gym. I just haven't been in the "mood". I will get back into the lifting routine tomorrow because I know it is so important!

Any shorties have Thanksgiving/Christmas goals?! If so, how are you going to get there?!?!

LindsB - I'm trying to get to 141 by Turkey day. I ate more junk yesterday, wayyyy over did it, probably clocked at least 1900 calories. I did do 45 minutes of cardio, though.

I couldn't help myself, I weighed myself this morning...146.8. Ugh!!! I'm not officially recording it since it wasn't my official weigh in day haha. I am so mad at myself for binging those three days which is probably contributing. I also have been weight lifting - but I hardly think a week of lifting weights would make me gain 2.5 lbs of muscle.

I don't think I'll make my Thanksgiving goal :( but I still have 2 weeks, and if I hit it REALLY hard and stay binge free I just MAY be able to pull it off.

I guess I just need some encouragement. I've learned that I absolutely cannot keep junk in the house, no matter how disappointed I am to eat a yogurt for dessert lol. At least I've been working out! That's a step in the right direction...before I would eat crap AND sit on my booty all night.

I am determined to stay on plan today (one day at a time) and I WILL go do some cardio tonight :)

I too don't think I'll hit my turkey day mini goal weight wise, but i do feel a difference in my waist and arms in regards to inches. I do lift a little as well and muscle weighs a lot more than fat so I'll deal with the no weight change as long as I'm getting leaner. a few years ago i had a trainer and he told me once to think of it this way "take a huge bag of cotton and 1 brick, the brick is smaller but ways a lot more cause it's solid" So when I feel down about the weight issue, i think of that.

I think I went over my calories by 100. I had a good dinner, but with TOM coming soon, I got a craving for chocolate so I had a WW mini choco cake before bed. so worth it tho, it was sooooo good lol

I did 45 treadmill and 45 zumba. My zumba class is a riot, my instructor makes the best/funniest faces during the workout, u can't help but laugh and enjoy the time there.

Same here LindsB. I'm religious with marking down every little thing I eat (Monday - Friday), but come the weekend, forget it lol

I was bad this weekend, not with my eating, my drinking. I went 7 days without an alcoholic beverage that I went crazy overboard saturday. Let's just say my bf had to put me to bed lol. So I prob had bout 2000 calories saturday, but i did work out a lil earlier in the day.

New day today, eating good, writing it down, gym tonight.

I´m the same !! Weekends are tough, although I´m not a big fan of routine, I know I need it... yesterday was a holiday here and that didn´t help either, but at least I did do 90 mins of cardio and managed to stay in the 1.300 - 1.500 cal range, above what I usually shoot for (1.000 - 1.200), but still ok...

This weekend I´m going to Amsterdam and I´m really worried about staying on plan, I have to find a way to do it, without giving up too much of the "fun"... Any suggestions ?

Fatpants - Thanks for the advice´. I´ve incorporated sprints into my running schedule, so we´ll see how that goes !:)

How was your Thursday, shorties?

I'm hangin' in there! In the middle of a WACKY work week (flip flopping between day and night shifts) and trying really hard to stick to eating plan.

So far, so good.

I'm planning on Zumba tonight, but I fear I may be a slug due to lack of sleep. Ugh!

Anyway, weighing in tomorrow morning. Will keep ya posted!

I feel tired and like taking a break from the gym...if I do I'll give myself a horrid guilt trip though...

Hey haven't posted in here in awhile. I am still at 174..I've been bouncing between 174.2 and 174.6 and NOT liking it at all. I'm so sick of seeing 174. I'm hoping tomorrow morning maybe it will be 174.0 or 173 but who knows. I did 65 minutes of workout today which I'm pretty proud of. Did 35 minutes of BFBM and 30 minutes of WATP...I'm proud of myself. I'm really trying not to get my hopes up about the scale in the morning but it's so hard not too..if it doesn't budge I guess I'll just work twice as hard tomorrow! Hope everyone is having a good day!

LindsB - That's exciting that you're about to move into a new weight decade. Keep up the good work.

I lifted weights today. Had the day off today so I was lazy (minus the weight lifting part) which was nice. I'm hoping for a "good" number on the scale tomorrow but I don't think I will have a loss - oh well maybe next week :)

Hang in there! I haven't seen much scale movement, either.

I'm just having faith that the calorie controlled diet and continuing to be diligent with exercise will eventually cause the pounds to come off :)

TGIF LADIES!!!

Good thing I worked a little extra hard mon-wed cause yesterday was a bad calorie day, but sorry, but soooo worth it. My boyfriend & I went to the mall walked around for about an hour or so then went to lunch....Buffalo Wild Wings. I got this burger that was soooo worth the calories. 110% honest it was the best burger I've ever had!!! Plus had some Godiva chocolates we got at the mall. So even tho I didnt have a good day calorie wise, it was a good day with my boyfriend wise. We don't do things like that very often.

Today i go back and tonight i'll do a lil extra at the gym.

Saw a small change this week on the scale, which is encouraging... hang in there!

I've been strategizing on how to come up with bulky "fill me up" foods that are low on calories.... will report back with results.

Well I was lazy and didn't work out, but I am back on track and did pilates yesterday. It looks so easy but don't be fooled, my whole body is SORE! :D

The scale read 145.8 Friday :censored:, but today it read 144.6 :carrot:

I'm going to try to not weigh myself until Thanksgiving. I know I won't make my mini goal, but I at least want it to say 143.8....that's 10 lbs lost! Keeping my fingers crossed. :goodluck:

JLNichols -- I just do a video on Netflix watch instantly. I don't have a car and did not feel like walking to the gym (snowing :() Netflix has a surprising variety of workout videos on their watch instantly as well as their mail dvds! I recommend it if you don't wanna buy the videos and need a good selection if you get bored by the same workouts!

Got on the scale this morning and was down to 172.6, and can't wait to see 171 (I don't remember the last time I was 171). But hopefully I make it to my thanksgiving goal weight of 170!

JLNichols -- woo hoo on the weight loss! :D It's always exciting when we see the scale moving in the direction we want. I'm rooting for ya to make it to your Thanksgiving mini goal!!

I did well yesterday on my diet. I did not exercise yesterday because I went over to a friend's and by the time I got dropped off at home it was 9pm...gotta be in bed by 10pm to catch the bus in the morning and if I exercise right before bed I am pie-eyed awake :hyper: BUT I am definitely going to do my Pilates video tonight (or go to the gym...haven't decided if I feel like walking there!)

:( Ugh I knew I shouldn't have signed up for the gym. It's an 18 month commitment, only $25 a month, but when I signed up my boyfriend's car was fully functional and I thought I was going to be driving, not walking, when I wanted to go. Oh well, dem's da breaks. :yes: I can at least go on weekends if I don't feel like walking, but I feel like that's such a waste of $25 hehe. Why does Minnesota have to be so cold!??!?!?!? :shocksn:

^I psych myself up everyday just to get through the Shred... just finished Day 13 (I did both levels 1 and 2 because I had the time...) I'm hoping it'll get me out of my 4-month plateau!!! I really want to get to 140s before this year ends! You better go to the gym and get your money's worth, girl! Walking in the cold burns 20% more calories (read that somewhere)!

thelittleflower-- I'm in a COLD location too, and my gym is about a 20 minute walk...it's not always pleasant, but you're burning extra calories on top of your workout. Go with it!!

Jillian Michaels videos-- I've tried them before too, when I was in a slump, to mix things up a little. If you're in the right frame of mind, they can be really fun & effective. Keep it up girls!


As for me... finally got my ticker/signature today :) 20 days on plan!!

NSV this week: Went running with a serious runner-friend. I ran the longest distance I've ever gone in my WHOLE life: 7 miles! No walking!
Working toward an 8k in Jan :)

went to the gym last and asked if someone can measure me, but the girl who originally measured me wasn't there so the other girls didn't want to do it since each measures differently. I was a lil annoyed but understood. Woke up this morning to see that my TOM showed up so now i'm glad i didn't get measured last night lol, but my jeans feel great even tho TOM is here so thats a big plus.

Question.......I stay at my boyfriends on the wkends and not close to my gym so was wondering your thoughts on a video I can do while i'm there

Newbie here! So glad to see a shorties section!

My goal is to lose 15lbs and become addicted to the gym! I feel like maintaining will be easier if I like going to the gym. I joined a new one about 3 weeks ago and I already look forward to going. Its a small gym so I'm not sure just a number on a ID card. They already know my name! They have classes almost every night right at 5:30 perfect for getting out of work at 5. The works outs are intense, its a great variety and everyone is so friendly. I feel like since I am already meeting people they will hold me accountable for going. Its also 2 miles from my house which is great for where I live my old gym was 25 min away.
I signed up for some personal training sessions to help get me on track too, hope it works out for me.

I've done the Jillian Michaels ones before, but everyone's different. Take a bunch out from the library, and then buy the one you like the most for cheap on amazon!

Hey kids. I used to be a frequent visitor to this thread and 3fc but then I just stopped coming by I think mostly because I started seeing a dietician on a regular basis but I think it might be nice to get back into the swing of things again on here and have the extra support. Hi Ladies,
Today I'm at 144.4. It's become so cold here that bundling up and going to the gym then debundling and working out then bundling up is a HUGE hassle. So, I'm going to start packing workout clothes for work and then walk straight to the gym after I get off the bus so I won't get too comfy/lazy. But I have been doing pilates at home :)

I'm hoping to get to 139.9 by the end of the year.......I can do it if I could just get my booty to the gym...stupid winter and me not being more motivated!

I must say...it's soooo hard to stay on plan & on track when my coworkers are ordering Chinese take out, Juicy Lucys, and chicken fingers with fries. I just have my Healthy Choice TV dinner, which pales in comparison to deliciousness....but then I picture next summer and that keeps me in line.

Why must fattening food be SO tempting?!?! :(

Hey Everyone! I'm happily starting a new workout for the month of December to switch things up with my exercising. The past 10 days I have been at a standstill with my weight, so I thought it'd be a good thing. Instead of doing WATP (Walk away the pounds) w/ a Jillian Michael's DVD; i started the BL Workouts today. I figured I'd alternate days. I did Cardiomax today and 30-Day Jumpstart ..so I'm pretty excited..Hopefully this changes my stand-still and I will start going back downward. As of this morning I was 168.6--I want to see 167 before Tuesday if not sooner. Well enuff about me... I hope all ya'll wonderful shorties are doing good!
