Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful day to be alive. I got my exer. in and soon I'll be off to run my errands and all. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy this thread.
FSA and Sandye-I completely agree it's sad people feel like they can't keep up with the thread and drop it. When I can't keep up, I just skim and post what I can. I KNOW I need this support and it's been a lifeline to me...staying accountable and being inspired everyday!
Have a great day ladies! I'll hopefully hop on later and catch up with everyone.

Hi,

I love reading everyone's posts.
A shout out to ShrinkingGirl: Thank you for the 2 window trick!!!

I enjoyed a piece of my friend's ___ _____ ___ last night at 9th grade orientation but skipped all the bread, entrees, and swamped-with-dressing salads....Italian Night Potlock. lol Feeling proud - cause I am back to eating OP today.

Hope you all have a wonderful and successful day today! :carrot:

Good morning ladies,
I bought the body fat/hydration scale last night. It thinks I am dehydrated, so maybe I'd better get a clue from CMO4 and DRINK MORE WATER.
I'm planning another jog after work today. Should be fun. I'm hoping that these pounds are a problem I can run away from. :)
Have a great Thursday!

Hi ladies.

What a morning. First of all, my computer is having problems this morning. I've reset the settings, so I'm hopeful it will actually stay on long enough. This is actually the third time, I've tried to write a post...so fingers crossed, I worked the kinks out of my puter. Not much time now though. I did get my day two in this morning and on the treadmill. I liked it much better...rather my knees liked it much better..I prefer outside, because at least the occasional car goes by, but I will be using the treadmill from here on out...haven't checked my band, but when I check in later, I'll see what the calorie burn was..the treadmill said it was 210, but my gowearfit is always more accurate...anywho, I'll talk to you ladies later and Sandye I am drinking my water. ;)

Tummy - that is an awesome NSV! I need to not want Lemon Merengue Pie (I know spelling is bad, LOL) and doesn't it feel good to have someone check you out! Woo-hoo!! Have a GREAT DAY!

Shasha17a - you are sooo right. I felt like it way TOM! Yikes! anyway, sounds like you have a solid plan for the day. Good Luck and with the double date tonight.

Crazymomof4 - You Look GORGEOUS! You have come such a long way!!!!

Mystical - If you want more cleaning.....I know exactly where you can come next!!! LOL I have 2 preteens and a husband that is more like a child. Have a great on plan day.

Ruth135 - CONGRATS!!! on losing the weekend weight and your added loss! LOVE IT!

Delphi - you would fit right in with my boys....they love Rock Band and Guitar Hero! You need to get more sleep so that your body can work at losing!!! Take a nap if you can...3 hours isn't enough!

Shrinking Girl - DQ....awe.....I dream of it sometimes! LOL

Late to the Game - they told me not to worry about personals. It was my goal to do personals once a week and then just post what I'm up to the other days. Don't not come here because you cannot keep up with everyone. These ladies are awesome!

Woo - hoo I got personals done!!! I want to do them at least once a week!

And another woo-hoo as this morning the scale moved in the right direction!!!! It is unofficial yet as I go to the center tomorrow and I will let you ladies know.

I also bought myself a treat! I rarely do this, but I am an AVON rep and got the preview of what's coming. They had a GORGEOUS teal that I just HAD to have. I collect nail color like most ladies collect shoes. I love doing my nails different every week and I really love this color. It came yesterday. I was so excited.

Well....I had better get to work. I work from my home designing wedding albums for photographers and this is the BUSY season.

bye for now

Hi Girls,

Don't have a lot of time right now, but hope everyone is having a great day.
Scale was down a tad this morning, .2 which means I've met my original Labor Day goal, so I'm happy because I hardly ever reach my goals, probably because I set them too high.

Wanted to mention I've discovered oolong tea and I really like it. I've been trying to get into the habit of drinking hot tea at least once a day, usually in the morning.

I didn't get any intentional exercise in yesterday but I was quite busy and got over 14,000 steps in according to my pedometer, I love that thing!

Hi everyone. Work is a little busy so I will try to work on personals after lunch sometime. Dinner was ok. We went with another couple who ordered 4 rolls while we ordered 3. I tried to make the healthiest choices possible. The 1st roll had tuna, crab, avocado and it was wrapped in cucumber..no rice. So good! Then it got confusing. Then when more came out, we got the rolls mixed up and the other couple took our roll and we took their food, which wasn't a roll at all, more like a crab meat in a mound with tempura flakes and some other stuff. All the names were confusing and we forgot what we had ordered. I swear we didn't order this and kept saying it througout dinner. I did my best to not eat too much of the tempura flakes. Then the 3rd roll came out, one that my DBF ordered and it was almost identical to the 2nd. We didn't even finish half. So I tried but I was annoyed. We didn't realize until after we got the bill that we had switched rolls on accident. I'm up a couple lbs this morning and throwing myself a pity party. But today is a new day and I'm back OP. I will not be self medicating with food!!!

Sorry--have been missing in action as I have been gone since Sunday dealing with starting the sole custody and then spending a little extra time down at my parents. I didn't stick with my exercise routine while gone(I went for one walk for 20 min), but yesterday when I got back I did 1 1/2 hours working out! (1 hr Wii, including the long island run, and 30 min Turbo Jam).

I am really proud of myself though as I did stick with my diet. On the way down we had to stop and I was starving, but I drove past Quizno's (my favorite sandwich shop ever!) and instead went to Subway. I was going to get a WW veggie wrap, but I guess they don't make wraps anymore. I was so tempted to get a sandwich, but instead I got the veggie salad with ff dressing. Seriously, I have NEVER gotten a salad as a main dish at any restaurant before! I like salads, but if I am eating out I would prefer something much unhealthier!

Even without working out though, my hard work dieting paid off, as this morning the scale was down another 2 pounds! Only 8 more pounds to my goal! I haven't tried fitting into the goal jeans yet (they are a small size 20), but I do now fit comfortably in some of my other size 20 jeans and my 22s are getting baggy! Pretty great considering last month I was barely squeezing into the size 22s and could wear a size 24 fine!

Well, since I have been gone for like 5 days, I am not going back to read everything, but the few posts that caught my eye:

Latetothegame: I can't even believe how frustrating it would be to see that little weight loss for such a long time! Way to stick with it. The plateau must end sometime, and then the weight will be sure to come off!

Crazymamaof4: I actually tried veggie dogs a few weeks ago, (even though I have been vegetarian for 15 years, I have previously avoided the fake meats)....and I liked them! They only have 45 calories, so I put a little ff cheese on them, and roll them up in like half of a low calorie tortilla and top them off with condiments (ketchup and mustard is crucial), and I thought they were awesome! Of course, I haven't had real hotdogs in years, so I am sure my tastebuds are off! My meat loving husband tried them though and thought they were good, just the texture was off a little.

Well, I didn't get any exercise again today, I let myself stay too busy again. I need a good :kickbutt:, I definitely need to exercise tomorrow and Saturday because I won't be able to on Sunday.
Not sure of my calories today because I attempted to make sushi tonight and I have not idea how many calories it was, I didn't eat very much of it though because it didn't turn out that good, I used brown rice. I have a thing about not cooking white rice but I think on the rare occasion that I might make sushi, it really needs to be white rice. I also made salt and pepper shrimp  with a side of bok choy and spinach. But I also had some root beer with ice cream, but not that much. I don't think my calories were that bad.

Oh, and I think I hate the new bathroom color, I told dh that I would do anything if he would repaint it, lol. It looks like baby poop or something. I think I'll just get a light brown or taupe which is what I was originally going to do. Maybe a little boring but at least it will go with just about any decor.

See you guys tomorrow.

Hey, just doing a quick check in before bedtime. I did some step aerobics tonight. It felt good to mix things up. Also signed up for some sessions with a trainer. I just know that I will be getting an awesome workout. Hope everyone is as excited for the weekend as I am. Going out of town again to spend the weekend with DBF and his fam for a bbq. My parents are driving down as well to visit. I'm so excited as I hardly get to see them anymore. Well, catch up with everyone tomorrow. Nite!

Good Morning Ladies

Gonna make this quick as my puter shuts down soon after start up. I'm gonna take it apart and clean it today and check my graphics card...some of the problems I'm having can be due to the card pulling to much power due to it being faulty, hence the puter shutting itself down in to a low power mode..or power save mode and not waking up. So hopefully I can get it straightened out today and get back to my regular antics here. Still no change for me, I'm still swollen from painting and my poor hands are sooo bad due to the swelling. At any rate, I hope you ladies have a great day and wish me luck with the puter. I pray that I can repair it myself...I don't know what I would do without my Internet assess...I'd go batty I'm sure.

Good Morning and TGIF Girls!!! :)

MsP~ Yes, checking in, even if it's just to say hi is a great way to stay motivated and accountable!! :) Of course, we certainly don't mind more do we? :D Hope you're having another great day!

ITM~ "_____ _____ _____" Now what on earth was it you had? I can't figure it out for the life of me! Come on, dish!! Great job avoiding all the bread, entrees and super swamped salads--that's awesome!!

JeanneP~ Oooh, you'd better start guzzlin'! You did see me swinging my :rollpin: at Delphi for not drinking her water right? Don't make me break it out again! Hope you had a nice jog yesterday!!

Delphi~ Noooooooo! Please oh please let your computer fix itself! We've already lost Jacqui to computer issues, Tummy's gone, we've got tons of our girls MIA--we can't lose you too!!! Quick, shoot me an email with your phone number, carrier pigeon route, address, Pony Express trail--anything! We can't lose our Delphi!!! Whew, wow! I'm sounding a little hysterical and needy aren't I? :o Sorry about that! ;) Yeah, the treadmill is waaaaaay easier on the ol' knees! I'm hoping that once I get through the whole C25K program I'll be strong enough to venture outside and do it for real. However, by then it's going to be Winter and brrrrr...I don't know about running in the snow! Hope your computer rights itself and you don't lose contact with the outside word!! :)

Jewelie~ Thanks hun! Woo hoo on the loss girlie! Do keep us posted on your WI today to k? Hey, nothing better than a special treat to reward yourself for a job well done! I never paint my nails and I'm forever washing my hands and it starts chipping the first day, plus I have man hands! Lemon Meringue pie! Mmmmm! I love lemon anything! Like, lemon cheesecake! Shhhh! Don't tell anyone I said the 'C' word! ;)

Ruth~ good for you getting all those steps in! Oolong tea huh? I'm trying to drink green tea (I got one with an orange flavor to it) and I'm still forgetting to drink it. :dizzy: Oooh, I just saw you need a :kickbutt:!!!! Okay, here it comes...:kickbutt::kickbutt::kickbutt:!!!!! Okay, now I expect to see a post from you today saying you got your workout in k? Sorry you don't like your bathroom color, that's a bummer. Hopefully you can find a color that you like better soon. :)

shasha~ aww, sorry about the dinner mix up! I bet you're just up a little water weight and it'll be gone in no time. I'm proud of you not self medicating with food! :carrot: That's a big step and one you should be proud of! Oooh, a trainer huh? Now what I wouldn't give to do that! I think I could use some help with my form and it sure would be nice to have someone telling you what to do and keep you motivated! Have a great weekend hun! Nothing big is planned here so I'm not all that excited, just glad to be able to sleep in past 5:00! ;)

Aclai~ :carrot: Congrats on 2/4 goals made already! That's awesome!! Keep up the great work!!! :)

Mystical~ Ahhh, it's great to hear that you're doing great!!! Sounds like you had a wonderful day yesterday! And drinking all your water too...*sniff*...makes me so proud! Tell your ds I'm proud of him too! :) Hope you're having another great day!!!

jessica~ glad to hear you're doing well! WTG on staying OP with your eating!! Considering what you're going through I think that's amazing! I hope that everything goes smoothly with the custody stuff! Keep up the great work hun!

Well ladies, it's another sunshiny day and it's supposed to be warmer today so no open windows for me :( It's supposed to be hot and humid all weekend too so I'm not sure if I'll be spending a whole lot of time outside and I really should--I've been feeling like a recluse this week.

I exchanged my shoes yesterday and got the other pair, the left foot is still feeling snug, which is odd because it's my smaller foot...hmm...I'll give it a week and see how it is.

I did my HIIT this morning--decided that, although I like nighttime workouts, I end up staying up too late to get my C25K run in at 5:00 like I want to. So, early morning HIIT it is! I still have my Upper Body ST'ing and Abs to do, but I'm still feeling full after breakfast so I'll wait a bit.

Hmm...other than that, I was up slightly this morning but I knew I would be, I only got in a little over 64oz of water yesterday and it was one of my higher calorie days. Calorie shifting is tougher than I thought it would be! I'm so used to eating around 1250 a day that on the days I'm supposed to eat over 1500 I'm lost as to what to add!

Anyway, that's all for me. I have a mountain of laundry to do, a house to clean, a workout to get done, kids to entertain...ahhh, the restful life of a housewife! :lol3:

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and be sure to...

Drink Your Water!!!
:D

Hey girls,
Just a quick hello, as I need to get ready to go. My sister and I are going to see Julie & Julie and then going out to lunch. We're going to P.F. Chang's and I've already picked out what I'm going to eat that will fit into my points for the day.

Anyway, good news today! I weighed in at 189.5, which was my goal for the month (to get under 190).

My new goal for August will be to drop 3 more pounds which will put me at 186.5.

ruth-there is actually a rice specifically for sushi. I think it's just called sushi rice, but it makes it much easier to make sushi. I think the regular stuff just doesn't stick together enough.

Delphi- As I just went through a week of computer problems, I wish you lots of luck with yours!

Have a wonderful Friday, everyone!!

jeannep- What kind of scale is it? We have two tanitas at home, one just tells weight and the other one tells fat% and I think water hydration. How does your scale tell you your hydration? I don't use that one because I'm use to mine which just does the weight.

Delphi- Sorry to hear about your computer. My laptop at home is being dumb too. Once I turn it on I have to leave it alone for like 10 minutes before I can attempt to start the internet. Hope you feel better soon from your day of painting.

Jeweliek- I love nailpolish. I used to collect them, but I it took forever to use it up and then they would get wierd. Good for you treating yourself. I think we all need to do that every now and then. Also yay for the loss. Even if its unofficial. Let us know how it goes at the weight loss center.

ruth135- wow! 14,000 steps is incredible. My mom recently started using a pedometer and shes been telling me to get one. I think I will order it off amazon. How was the shrimp? It sounds delicious! Sorry the sushi didn't turn out that good. I love bok choy though, I need to make it sometime.

Aclai4067- Congrats on meeting all your goals so far. You are chugging right along.

mystical- Ugh I hate it when weight goes up for a few days. That happened to me this week too. Glad to hear yours is going in the right direction now.

jessicado22- Congrats on the 2lb loss and making the right decision at subway.

crazymamaof4- yuck, I hate hot and humid weather. I know whenever I go see my family overseas in the summer time, I will take a shower and get dressed and start sweating immediatly. I wish I didn't have weekend plans, it would make it easier to eat OP. But I think I will be fine because I last weekend I kept thinking that I shouldn't mess up and then have to confess here. It will keep me on track.

darby1- I so want to go see that movie. Let us know how it was when you get back. Congrats on meeting your goal for the month. :carrot:

So I'm annoyed. I was down 2 lbs on Tueday right after Aunt Flo and today I'm back up. So that means I maintained from last week. It frusterates me because I'm still so early in the game. I figured that I would atleast be able to get through 1 month without stalling. I think maybe I need to up my calories. Right now I'm between 1600-1800, and maybe I should be eating that once I get to 220? I don't know. I'm starting training sessions at the gym next week and I will see what the trainer says. I know I already mentioned this, but I'm going to a bbq this weekend at DBF's grandmas house. Its about 5 hours away and we are leaving tonight. Yuck to LA traffic. Usually when we leave town, we eat on the way out. I told him that I'm going to make some salad tonight and he better love it, lol. I'm so excited to see his family and my parents are driving down for the day tomorrow as well. I will get my workout in tomorrow. I looked up my gym in that area since I can go go any of them in other towns, but they closed it down. But his mom is kind enough to get me a 2 day guest pass at her gym so that will help me stap OP atleast as far as working out goes. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday, TGIF everyone!

Hey ladies!

I'm here it's hot and beautiful. We went sight seeing yesterday after we landed from our overnight flight (with no sleep :() and the wedding is tomorrow so we're super busy planning and putting all the food together, it's an outdoor event in the back yard kinda low-key but still 50 ppl after the ceremony for dinner/BBQ. Went for a jog this morning, and 35 minutes here in this humidity and with these hills, OMG that was enough, but great workout none the less.

Foods been pretty good at least on my end when ya can't control the ingredients you sure have to go teeny tiny with the portions! It's been good and everyone has been very understanding as I knew they would be. And the best part, my fil and soon to be mil almost had their jaws fall off when we got off the plane, shocked at how I looked. It was awesome, and now mil wants to go hiking with me on my days I'm not jogging cuz i'm so darn "skinny" was her word, lol.

Gotta run back to help out downstairs with veggie chopping and something or other. TTFN

Stupid scale was up a little this morning. Not quite a pound though....but still a gain and not a loss....:(
Oh well, I know it happens to the best of us!
I have made a new goal of not snacking at night....am hoping maybe if I quit doing that, it will help speed things up. Already got in 1 1/2 hrs exercise today, so off to a good start to hopefully see a loss tomorrow!

Afternoon everyone :)
Doing a quickie drive bye.

So busy that I didn't take my walk this a.m.

Doing well - but not as OP as I could be.
I skipped my Sunday weigh -in & will weigh in on August 31.

Should keep me in suspense & more OP to see if I make my August goal.
I'm off.

Well I think I am alright now. Thanks for all the well wishes. The great thing about being a geek, is that you know a lot of geeks. Collectively we all brainstormed and it was indeed the graphics card I installed a few months back. So after I cleaned the motherboard, fans and the card...it was good to go. So I'll be back later or in the morning to catch up on personals and all of your news. I just love reading it. I think people are fascinating. Anywho, I'm doing well, POP...as usual, and just trying to let my poor body heal up. I'm hopeful that I can get back to my routine by Monday...it's killing me not to. I feel so lazy when I'm not exercising myself into the ground.

Sandye Thanks for the :kickbutt: I did 40 good minutes on the treadmill and I'm thinking about doing some pilates later.
Shasha The shrimp is great, I've made it a few times and we all love it. I use a recipe that doesn't deep fry the shrimp, its not super light but its not too bad calorie wise. Here is the recipe I use http://chinesefood.about.com/od/shrimprecipes/r/spicyshrimp.htm
Sometimes I don't use as much oil and you can always cut back on the salt if its too salty for you. My husband always gets it on the chinese buffet and has wanted me to learn how to make for a long time. I love that it's pretty easy and doesn't take a lot of time.
Darby Yeah I know about the sushi rice but I was trying to stay away from the white rice and make it healthier. The brown rice I used is called sweet brown rice and is supposed to be good for sushi because it is sticky but it was too sticky, wet, and mushy and just gross. The kids didn't mind it though so I pawned it off on them lol. I told DH last night to go ahead and pick up the sushi rice today after work and I make some more because we still have plenty of the cut up veges left.
Delphi Glad you got your computer fixed. They can be such pains sometimes.

So I'm up a pound today and was shocked because I knew I didn't eat that much yesterday so I was able to roughly figure my calories from last night and at most I had 1700 all day. Then I looked at the calendar, yep PMS is due. I hope its gone tomorrow.

Hey to all the rest of you chickies!

Hey everyone, I wanted to check in after being missing for a few days. Thanks to all who wished me a Happy Birthday. :) It was amazing. And from my last post (page 13 or 14) I've lost 7 pounds! I'm quite excited that I lost and didn't gain any on my birthday. And I ate my ice cream cake and pizza (movie theater 1/2 pizza) I did watch what I ate. I'm one of those that buys a huge drink and extra large popcorn for movies; my trick this time was I didn't buy anything. My friends ALWAYS share everything. G.I. Joe was amazing! I'm reading to catch up on everything I missed, but I wanted to check in before my best friend and I get our belly buttons pierced and go to the closest Lover's. Sort of a Happy Birthday to both of us; Mine was on the 8th and her's is 8 days later on the 19th. I hope everyone is doing great! I will be posting soon to everyone else, I just wanted to update my progress in case I get stolen before I can read all the posts. Needless to say; I've lost 2 more pounds than my August goal. :) What's even better is I haven't been trying. I mean, I've been watching my meals and walking an hour a day, but not "I have to lose weight." I actually lost 2.5 before my birthday for organizing the office and moving Christmas decorations and the HUGE air conditioners upstairs. I was sore! I hope all of you are doing great! Keep on trying. :) We CAN do it!!

Hello Ladies!!

Sorry I was MIA... Getting ready for my first book signing!

FullsteamAhead.. my goal is to be out of the 180s.

Sadly.. my meds have made me constipated.. I hate that. All bloated and icky feeling. So now I'm on Fiber.. EWwwwwwww tastes like drinking Tang Flavored Sand.

Not being able to ride my horses takes away so much of the physical activities that kept me in shape, I am having a hard time finding other things to replace it. Especially since I am limited on what I CAN do because of my back. Go figger.. to get my back better to avoid surgery... I have to lose weight and get in shape.. yet because of my back.. I have very little I can do as far as actual exercise.... I am going to try swimming. And I am SOOOO not a swimmer...

So have a wonderful weekend ladies and I will post results of my book signing!!

Hi chickies!

Wow, first day back to work and I get a migraine! Sucky! Those long, 3 hour and yet pointless meetings do it to me every time. By the time the end of the day came I couldn't even manage to stay late and get some real work done.. and the drive home was done at 40 mph and on back roads because I could tell I was definitely impaired. But, an imitrex, 3 16-ounce bottles of water and a 2 hour nap later... and I'm feeling nearly human (except for that whole feeling like I'm breathing underwater thing that imitrex does to me).

I've scanned everyone's posts but don't have the energy to do personals. I will catch up tomorrow, I promise (I think). Right now I'm just feeling thankful I worked out this morning and didn't put it off until tonight because it would never have happened.

I am feeling a bit low right now because no one at work seemed to have any inkling I've lost any weight. I know my ticker says 2 lbs but that was a month ago (weigh in and measurements tomorrow!) and it was minus 6 lbs of fat and plus 4 lbs of muscle at the time and my DH keeps saying I'm shrinking.. my work clothes were so loose and yet no one said a word. I'm asking too much, I know... but still.. would have been nice. Oh well. Hopefully I'll have an excellent weigh-in tomorrow morning and I won't give a crapola.

Take care!

Good evening ladies!

Darby~ Mmm, P.F. Chang's is so gooood! I am so glad there's not one out here to tempt me! Their orange chicken is too good to resist! I hope you had a great time at dinner! Congrats on already making your August Goal! That is just awesome!! :carrot: Good luck on making your next goal, looks like if you keep going the way you are, it's in the bag! :)

FSA~ thanks hun! And no problem with the reminders, I'm just glad nobody is throwing rocks at me for being repetitive! Glad to see you're back into the swing of things with your exercise!! I'm so proud of you!!!

shasha~ hey don't sweat those 2 lbs, I'm thinking it's not going to be sticking around long. It could be water weight, it could be muscle--remember, the scale can't tell the difference between water/fat/muscle! ;) You're doing great! Just keep your eyes on the prize and ignore that evil Darth Scale for a couple of days. :) Have fun this weekend! I'm with you--LA traffic is awful! I never could figure out how people could drive in it every day! Nor Cal was bad enough for me, but So Cal? No thank you--every time I had to be in a car on the freeways there I would have to practice deep breathing!

dcapulet~ sorry to hear your week isn't going as well as you'd like, but, you're exercising still right? So you're doing a great job there! I'm a calorie counting freak! It really does keep you on track (well, at least it does for me :D)), so I bet if you start keeping track you'll have an easier time staying OP. How's your son btw? Is he back to 100%, I hope so! :)

Mystical~ :carrot: Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Yeah girlie!! That's awesome news! See, you just needed to get settled and back to your healthy self and now things are back on track! You did a great job getting through the past few weeks, you deserve a metal for staying as on track as you have been with moving and unpacking and and and...WTG hun!!! Congrats!!!

TUMMY!!!~ aha! I KNEW you couldn't just leave and not check in! :D Yay! So glad you're having a good time and YEE HAW at makin' those jaws drop chica!!! I bet that felt fanfreakin'tastic!!! :broc: You have fun with your family and check in if you get a spare second or two. We already miss you tons and hope you have a great time!!!

jessica~ hope your no snacking goal is going well! It's tough to stop snacking at night, but once you get into the habit of not doing it, well, it's way easier. Keep up the great work!!

Susie~ girlie I was just about to call you out to see where you were! Glad you checked in! Sounds like you're super busy--be sure to take some time for you k?

Delphi~ okay, I can officially breathe now...whew! I'm glad you got it figured out! :) Man, you're still sore from your power painting? Geez, I'm sorry hun, I know how you hate being laid up. But hey, isn't that great? I mean, it's wonderful to think that you're getting all bunched up because you can't exercise isn't it? :D I've recently become the same way--I'm even thinking about ditching my Day Off! Still on the fence though...Anyway, we'll catch ya tomorrow girlie, hope you get a good night's sleep!!!

Ruth~ Woo hoo!!! :carrot: Atta girl!!! That's what I wanted to hear! WTG hun, you did awesome! Glad you were still able to workout after the brutal whoopin' I gave ya! ;) LOL That shrimp sounds yummy--thanks for posting the link to the recipe! Sorry about the gain, stupid TOM strikes again--why does he insist on bringing extra weight with him? And in some cases, like yours, have it sent on ahead of him? Why?! Argh...

Miss Mallee~ My goodness, you're a weight loss machine! Congrats on surpassing your goal! Wow!!! Sounds like you had a great Birthday! Hope you have fun getting your belly button pierced! Ahh, I remember when I got mine done...man it hurt right afterwards!!! It's long gone now though--ditched it when I got pg with my first. ;)

hotsplashes~ ooh, a book signing? I didn't know we had a bonafide author in our midst! Congratulations, I hope it goes well! Sorry to hear you're backed up, that's just rotten! I don't have any real advice for you, just plenty of fluids, fiber, ya know everything they tell ya to do. Anyway, looking forward to hearing about your book signing! Have fun!

SG~ aww hun, sorry you had a migraine! Those are simply awful!! I hope you feel 100% soon!! Ya know what, chances are people are noticing, but sometimes people don't comment because they don't want to bring it up for lots of reasons. Jealousy or guilt that they aren't doing something about their own weight, they don't want to offend the person who's losing weight (by acknowledging that they look better than before, kwim?) and sometimes people are just oblivious and don't notices things like weight. No matter though, because YOU know you're losing weight and inches and are on your way to a healthier you! :D You have so much to be proud of!!! You just keep up the great work hun! Btw, I'm not sure if you saw my post over on the exercise thread from yesterday, but I gave you the breakdown of how many calories I burned during the C25K. :)

Heather~ getting up off of my butt was my biggest struggle. I would start a diet, lose 20 lbs and never exercise--all the while telling myself I should. It's tough to get motivated that's for sure. The one thing that's helped me more than anything is this group of girls and seeing all the hard work they put in every day. For some reason, there's something about having to report back to these girls that keeps me on track and working out. I will say this though, you just have to take that step. Even if you don't want to, even if you hate every second of your workout--once you finish you'll be proud. You'll be so glad you got up and DID it! You'll feel like you did something good for yourself and you'll feel energized emotionally. And the next day when you're sitting around saying to yourself, 'I really should get up and exercise' you can look back to the day before and remember how good it felt to get that workout in, to be able to say you did it. You just have to get started...one step at a time...Come on, you can do it!!! :)

Well girls, tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have to wake up at 5:00 to workout! Whew! Although, something tells me I'll end up waking up early anyway . Oh well, it's always nice to have a little quiet time in the mornings after my workout so it's all good.

Hubby went to the Colts game tonight with his Big Boss and I got to stay home with the kiddos. Not that I mind staying home, but I was kind of bummed that I didn't get to go too--especially since I was invited and it was in a Suite! Ahh well...

I made a double batch of squash muffins today--I had a ton from the garden and I knew you could make zucchini bread so I found a recipe online and tweaked it to make it lower in cals and fat. I put them in the freezer for another time since I have banana muffins already made for the kiddos. Man I love baking...and breads like pumpkin, banana, zucchini--but especially the pumpkin--they are my weakness! Mmmm...man alive, I'm going to need lots of will power come Fall!! Girls, be ready to sprinkle me with :dust:!!!

Well ladies, I'm going to turn in for the night. I'm tuckered out and need some shut eye! I hope everyone had a great Friday and that you all have a wonderful weekend!!! :)

Night all!

Hi girls, a big hi to you all. I am heading to bed ...the sun really made me sleepy. congrats to all of you on the losses.

To those of you who are battling with the scale hang in there! FInd what works best for you individually as far as how often you WI. My weight fluctuates a lot so weighing in too frequently really frustrates me though it works great for others. Just keep in mind that it's natural for our bodies to fluctuate on a daily basis and keep at it....the fluctuations tend to go downard with time....: ). Ohhh jessica, wtg on the workout! :carrot::carrot:

oh i cant find the post now, I must be quite tired. SOmeone mentioned being on plan and losing weight but not exercising yet. Please don't despair, sometimes we are working on multiple goals of that nature and we dont always do everything at once and it can take some time. Bravo to you for being OP and on your weight loss! :) :carrot::carrot: clearly, exercise is also something you are striving for and that in itself is great....keep at it and remember the positives and the good changes you have made thus far and are journeying on making even more! : )

catch you all tomorrow. A big hello and hugs to all of you. Hope you sleep well girls. Talk i n the morning....

miss mallee... happy belated!

crazymomma: yep, no prob with exercise, but that was never my problem. it's always been the food. I think you're right, counting is the way to go. and yes, my son in 100%, thanks for asking! just in time for vacation. And i have to give him credit... jogging with him keeps me honest, exercise wise. tonight, he just wasn't in the mood for a run, but i talked him through it, and he was so happy when we were done. :) who knew i could be motivational?

Delphi: glad your CPU is working again!

So i'm posting it here to to be accountable:

For vacation week: Su, Tu, Th, Sat... C25k wk 8. We will also being doing massive walking (between 2-5 hours a day), swimming, too. I vow for at least one sunrise beach yoga session, and I may even rent a bike!!

Good morning girlies and Happy Saturday to you all! :)

I'm off to a gloriously late start--ahhh, it felt so goooooooooood to sleep in past 5:15!!! :carrot:

FSA~ sounds like you had a nice day in the sunshine yesterday! :) I totally agree, sometimes you have to take one step at a time--get one part of your fitness plan going strong before you can tackle the next. I always started with drinking my water and eating right and said, 'exercise will follow'. The unfortunate part is, it never did. However...that was before I found THIS wonderful group!! :D And well, you know how that's working for me! ;)

dcapulet~ ooh, you and I melded together would make the perfect diet and exercise machine! I can stick to an eating plan, you can stick to exercise--we'd be good to go! Glad to hear your ds is going great! I think it's wonderful that you motivated him to get his run in yesterday--great job mom!!! :) So you're heading out tomorrow for vacation? Will you be able to check in from time to time? We can't have too many of our girls MIA at the same time! ;) Have fun and do be sure to get that sunrise yoga session in--if for nothing else, the view! :)

mars~ :celebrate: Congrats on the loss!! Wow, there's nothing like joining a contest to get you motivated huh? WTG!!! Keep up the great work and check in when you can! Good luck on the work contest!! Are there prizes involved? :D

Well ladies, like I said, I got to sleep in this morning and it was wonderful! :) Got my last day of week 2 in, breakfast in and I'm rarin' to go--well, once I get my shower in that is. ;) No big plans this weekend other than yard work and housework so nothing too exciting.

Still debating on working out on my day off tomorrow or not...I guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow huh? Maybe just a brisk 30 min walk? I dunno.

Okay girls, well you get out there and have a wonderful day! Be sure to be good to yourself and of course, be sure to...

Drink Your Water!!!

I just read t hrough all the posts. I slept so good last night and feel rested today.

Mars, Mystical, and to all on the losses....congratulationssss :carrot::carrot::cheer2::cheer2::cheer3::cheer::co ngrat:

Delphi, I am so glad your pc is okay now. Good for you knowing how to take it apart and do all that! What's up with the swelling girl, how are you now? Hope your better, hugs.

Tummygirl, wonderful to hear from you. I hope you got a chance to catch up with your sleep last night and are having a wonderful time at the wedding. WTG on that run and even on no sleep and with the heat, amazing! great NSV by the way...:) chat soon .

Shrinking girl, sometimes people notice weight loss and don't always say something becaue they are afraid of saying it the wrong way or offending you. Also, if your still wearing the same clothes (and they are loose , etc) the loss doesn't show up as much to others....when you go out and get that new size and show off that smaller bod they usually take notice more! Hope you feel better today........anyways girl...your rocking it so keep up the great work. You and DH notices ;) have a great weekend.

Hi Sandye :) oh the squash bread sounds yummy. You do sound like a little baker, lucky kiddos and DH! : ). Hope you got a great nights sleep last night and wake up to a great new day! hugs girl, keep on shining.

hi susie, wtg on checking in , keep at it...... :) have a great weekend.

ruth, I always get bloated during PMS time...hang in there it will pass. Hope your feeling okay.

sasha, Have a wonderful weekend with your DB and your parents :). That's great she got you a gym pass.

Hotspalshes, hi there. I hope you feel better. How about walking? It is one of the safest forms of exercise and it helps strengthen the lower back...among other things of course. Let us know how you make out with swimming, I absolutely love it and I must be working my back because I feel it a little. Keep us posted : ).

dcapulet, wow that is a lot of walking. How I would love to go on marathon walks like that....keep us posted.

heather, hang in there girl ...just keep at it and think about what types of exercise you would enjoy doing. If we do exercise we dont particularly like it makes it hard to stick with it. wtg on being OP.

Hi to all you chickies, sorry i f I missed anyone. ok, going to post this and brb.
