Hello everyone! When I was in highschool I played almost every sport and my senior year I tore my ACL without knowing it. I had no health insurance. When I started my weight loss journey I found it extremely painful to begin a running or walking program. I recently had an MRI and discovered I have a torn ACL amoung other problems. I am having surgery on Aug 20th. Does anyone have any suggestions of exercise I cant do to stay on track!
Thanks

I found this for you and it looks helpful. I hope your knee feels alot better!

the advice is walking on a torn ACL does not cause any more damage. Running on a loose joint can.

here's another helpful link that suggests swimming and cycling!

I hope your knee feels alot better!

I know last year when i went thru my surgery...p.t. had me doing the bike ...you don't want it to get stiff around the knee...she had me doing other good knee excercises...to strenthen before my surgery. In the long run that is what really got me going so fast. I think the key is mobility tho. I had minimal muscle loss, i was very lucky.
