Labor Day Challenge…
Okay girls. Jess did such a great job organizing the swimsuit challenge and everyone was so successful… let’s kick this up a notch. Labor Day is Sept 2nd this year. That gives us a little less than 2 months for the challenge.
Let’s post our goals and check in weekly (or more if you like – even better).
Go with program goals (water, journaling) or pick a weight or size goal (I want to lose 10 pounds or I want to be a size 12)… whatever goals you have that might motivate you.
Don’t be afraid to set your goals. Remember, shoot for a star and you may land on the moon.
I heard that once and loved it…. It’s better to set high goals and come close to making them, even if you don’t quite get there than to set mediocre goals you know you can make. Who is more successful…. The girl who sets a 2-pound goal and loses 2 pounds, or the girl who sets a 10-pound goal and loses 6 pounds?
Let's help motivate one another... if you're doing well on the challenge, post advice on what's working!

Great Idea! I'm having a completely off track week and have plans to get back on track - a goal will make it that much better.
I'd like to loose 10 lbs by Labor Day. Now I just have to find the courage to get on the scale and determine what that means!
Also, I've still been really diligent with my cardio work-outs but I haven't been very good with ST or Yoga. So, my fitness goals will be to ST 3x a wk and practice Yoga 2x a week.

I AM SOOOOOOOOO IN!
i want to lose 10-15 by sept 2 depending on how I do with my july 10 goal of being 200 at the mo i'm 205.5 and losing 15 would bring me to 190 I'll post my other goals later
as i'm still pouring over my winning points stuff my sis left me!

I am committing myself (to this challenge, not to an institution, although perhaps I should. :dizzy:
I will drink at least 8 glasses of water each day, continue to weight train each day, walk two times per week, play raquetball two times per week, and eat all of my fruit and veggies servings instead of substituting in Baked Lays for the points.
It's a tall order, but hey...they say it takes a month to make a habit, so if all goes well, I should have some awesome habits when it's over.

I really really need this challenge to jump-start me into losing again!
Goal #1: So, it's about 8 weeks... let's say I want to be down 15 pounds. (I'm going the distance too - aiming high, maybe I'll make it:cool: )
Goal #2: exercise!!!! I'm going to try running... (insert scary music here) I am going to walk 5 times a week, gradually building up to running (okay, jogging)... By Labor Day I want to be able to run 1 mile.
And that's enough for now!

Wow - everyone is aiming high!!!!
Awesome goals girls. My summers are usually filled with nights out (mainly to get out of my hot apartment... I live on the top floor and have no AC)... so that usually results in more drinking which is why I always seem to plateau during the summer months. So I've got to kick this in the bud!
Goals:
1). Lose 10 pounds by Labor Day
2). Limit alcohol consumption to 4 drinks a week (usually it's 4 a month, but it's the summer!)
3). Weight train 3X per week
4). Swim 4X per week
Jayne!! I laughed out loud... I'm committing myself too!

Gosh, compared to everyone else's goals, mine sound kind of wimpy...
1) Lose 10 lbs by the end of the challenge.
2) Go to the gym 3x a week AND add an additional form of exercise (either Pilates or walking) 3x a week.
3) Continue to increase water consumption.
So, that's mine!

Hey everyone! I didn't fair too well on the last challenge. I started out great, lost 8 pounds, then gained 5 back. So, I'll give this one a try. I want to think about my goals first.

For the summer challenge, with being hurt and having a gain of 4lbs during my recovery time, I only came down 8 lbs (and that was all in the last 4 weeks, averaging 2/week).
I did, however, put my best foot forward, and it just so happens that I am going to Thailand on September 1, so I will call this my Thailand challenge!!
My goals for sept 1/2002:
1. Journal on weekends
2. Weight goal: 14 lbs down, for a grand total of 58.4 down. that's 1.8 a week, which is less than I am averaging now.
OK gotta run.

Ok, I'm in too! I super-duper sucked on the last challenge, but I'm psyched now! My goals:
1. Lose 15 pounds
2. Do aerobic exercise 3x a week- work up to 45 minutes (currently doing about 30, so if I add 5 minutes every 2 weeks- perfect!)
3. Strength training- this is my big problem! So my goal is to do it 3 x a week.
4. Fit into my "skinny" jeans. I know I can do it!

Awesome girls... how's the first week going. I didn't limit alcohol to 4 drinks this week... more like 7 this week. But it was a holiday.
Besides that - I'm on my way. WI is tomorrow.. so I'll check in then.

Good morning Ladies!!
I am "in" too! I have blown WW off for months now, and it is time to stop and lose these extra 10 pounds. So, here are my goals:
1. Drink at least 64 oz of water daily.
2. walk on my treadmill at least 3-4 times a week, 2-3 miles at a time.
3. JOURNAL, JOURNAL, JOURNAL!!!!!!!!
We can do this!!! I would like to be at least 137 by Sept. 2nd. That means 10 pounds for me!!!!
