Assorted Chocolates Challenge Week 1:D
So I figured we needed to build on our challenge so every week i will be challenging our group on one part of the entire picture of successful weight loss. Planning, Exercise, Diet, Mindset and Rewards and the final week we will be challenged to put it all together for our final push.
the participants in our challenge are as follows behind each person's name is the number of pounds that you need to lose each week to meet the challenge goal you sent me

this weeks challenge is about planning. if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. so take a second and plan the remainder of this week thru sunday. either meal by meal or just a general eating plan ie: i will follow phase 1 of fat smash. u can post your plan here for the week or daily. but put it out there so we can see it girl! we need to encourage each other. and if you know u want to eat some bbq etc...plan it! then its not a huge issue. of course along with your meals plan your workouts! :woops: so if you know u are going to eat that bbq u can plan some time with the good ole stairmill! :ebike:
weight loss is all about planning ladies. how many times have u been caught in the mcdonalds drive thru because u failed to plan. didnt thaw the chicken or forgot you worked a double shift?? we can get through this part we just gotta do it! now go! lets rock this challenge ladies! :cheer2:

The planning challenge is very hard for me this week, because I'm going on vaca from Thursday- Sunday. Meals will be sporadic, no exercise facilities, and I'll be surrounded by people who are eating all sorts of deliciousness (I'm week, I know).
Hmm, maybe I do need a plan to get through it and not gain like five pounds in four days!:o
So here is the plan:
1) Eat only three meals a day, and two snacks.
a) One of those three meals must be a salad, or a dish with only veggies, meat and cheese, devoid of any high carb product
b) No snack should be over 300 calories
c) only ONE dessert/ sweet item (so its either the cheesecake of the frappachino (NOT both!)
2) Only one alcoholic beverage per day, if any. Preferably wine and nothing too sugary
3) Try to do at least two miles of walking on Friday and Saturday
4) Get my mind in gear to start back on Monday!!!!

So I gained a pound. But I deserve it. Today starts my new WW week and I am making it a personal challenge to stay within my my effin points!!! ARGH!! I can do this. So hitting the gym and here is my paln:

these challenges require people to post a little more often since there are only a few of us. one of the challenges i have in mind will require us to post more actively so ladies come on out and share yr thoughts! lets be active participants!

So far this week I had 1 bad day but other than that I've been on plan and just pushing forward. I have been jogging on the treadmill and am aiming to jog at least 5 times a week.

Assorted Chocolates Challenge Week 2
Let's Get Moving Ladies!!! So this week's challenge is based on physical activity! If you are trying to lose weight with out exercising you will lose very slowly and u will end up flabby. period point blank! its not healthy to sit on your arse whether you are a fat chick or a skinny chick. Regular exercise gives us a healthy heart, shapely hips and butts, flat stomachs, thinner thighs and sexy toned arms! isnt that enough to make you get off your butt and work it girl! :drill:
so this is a 3fc game of tag! you may have played before but here are the rules. i will post first that exercised then i will tag 3 people to complete 30 minutes of any exercise of their choice. then those people each tag 3 people and so on. each tag is 30 minutes.you can keep track of your tags in your signature or on your own. so if i get tagged ten times this week then i need to complete 300 minutes of exercise. this challenge is ongoing throughout the challenge since there are so few of us. that way you wont have to work off 20 tags in a week. but you could! :D

I am happy to report I did 90 minutes of cardio today including 4.5 mile run and the crosstrainer! I stayed within points and I am feeling good about it!

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile ladies. I was on vacation for 2 weeks an was totally outta control...gained 3lbs :( but I'm back now an did well 2day. I am accepting the exercise challenge with open arms because that's been my weak spot but I'm ready to dust off the treadmill and actually use it. I will stay OP and drink 64oz of h2o daily.

Apparently that plan crashed and burned:bomb:. Horribly:eek:. After losing around 8lbs, I'm back to square one for the fourth time (4th!). Which means that I've actually lost 40lbs in the last 6 months and I have nothing to show for it. I really can't do this anymore. I just can't I am making a public declaration that this will be the last time during this weight loss journey (barring illness or some extremely extenuating circumstances), that I will be in the 150s. THE LAST TIME!

Hi my little chocolates....
I did so well yesterday. I stayed on track and worked out even though I could on manage 45 minutes before my totally gave out. Needless to say I am on rest today plus the fact that it is my official WI DAY! I hope the WW scale is nice to me today.
Hey I know everybody is busy and doesn't really have the time to be on here like that.........but since this is a challenge it is hard to liek discuss and what not without people really posting. i love love love my PT and i had an awesome workout today so both of my tags are worked off and i need to tag again so im tagging caliyah, goodday and cake!

i have PT again at 7 which is good because i am much more productive when i see him early. starts my day off right!
i talked to my trainer about losing pounds and he doesnt want me to be worried about that right now just focus on being fit and being healthy and being able to complete the workouts he gives which are quite challenging. he feels like if i drop two sizes and the scale hasnt moved thats okay because my entire body shape will have changed. but i am big on pounds lost. i dont want to be a 195 pound size 10 lol. i want to lose weight and shape my body. idk. maybe the pounds will come off anyway. what yall think am i being silly should i just focus on inches and sizes & not worry about the pounds

Brie - I think you should just work on being fit and the inches will start coming off. But then again I can't really give you advice on something I obsess about. I am so anal about pounds. I will lose some inches or whatever and I am cool with it but after a couple weeks I am like okay where the eff are results on this scale!!!!!
I WI last night wasn't happy though. I lost next to nothing. I know this is a result of working out so hard and my muscles repairing and next week will probably be awesome. I was so excited to go and it jsut sort of bummed me out. Oh to the gym today to work off the dang tag :)

OMG Im so sorry ladies Ive been completely neglecting this thread:( but I have been getting my workouts in and posting on this site in general daily I have also been writing in my blog.
I went to the gym this entire week mon-thurs
each day I worked out for a hour so at least I did complete my tags lol I took two classes I think did weight training and the couch2k running program so this week so far I have worked out for at least 240mins so I am happy about that.
Whats the plan for next week?

Hey ladies I'm still here eating is going well, but my work is keeping me crazy busy so fell off with exercise and posting. But I will work off my tags plus exercise is a stress release 4 me and I really need that right now. I will try 2 post on most days.

brie-its great u r losing inches. I believe that the pounds will eventually fall off, just keep doing what u r doing.

Assorted Chocolates Challenge Week 3
This week's challenge is all about FOOD! We love it but we hate it! It can be our best friend or our enemy! Food keeps us alive we need it to function but we dont need massive amounts of it as if we are going to hibernate at some point :yawn:!
this week i challenge all you chickies to do the following things everyday!
*eat at least 5 servings of fruit/veggies
*drink at least eight 8oz. glasses of water
*take a multivitamin
* limit processed foods (shop the perimeter of the grocery store)
Also, try a new healthy recipe this week and share it with us whether you like it or not!
i know i have been struggling with my diet and it seems that some of you ladies have as well. i didnt want to ask too much of everyone just enough to get us back to healthy eating and the scale sliding down!
:lifter: dont forget that the tagging game is still going strong and when u get tagged just go ahead and immediately tag the next 2-3 people so we can all get pumping! :exercise:

i had a few slip ups with food last week but i'm staying focused on pushing forward. i was listening to the podcasts by jillian michaels from biggest loser and they have been a big motivation - i highly recommend them they are online through KFI radio. i have been trying to push myself past my comfort zone in my workouts..trying to take it to the next level and i think that has kept me trying to stay on plan with food.

So today I did try a new recipe. I did these black bean and corn quesadillas (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Black-Bean-and-Corn-Quesadillas/Detail.aspx?prop31=1). They were really good. Even though I ate 2 tortillas it wasn't too bad since I used low fat cheese and no butter. I didn't get the whole wheat tortillas. I'm too broke for that right now. I'm trying to eat less meat and more veggies, beans, and whole grains. I haven't exercised in the past three weeks, but I am doing a lot more walking. I need to get it together. My plan was to be under 200 by by 25th b-day (August 23), but I know I won't make that goal :(. I'm kinda sad about that, but I need to pull it together and work myself harder.

Yes I know I'm not doing good at all... I a really struggling with my food intake. I can stick to my diet when I am at home and nothing stressful is going on, but throw in some stress and being knocked out of my routine and it all goes haywire.
This weekend I went to visit my brother and aunt, and I ate so so much crap it was ridiculous. I had actually gotten down to 150.2, and then went home and ate waffles with syrup, breaded chicken cutlets on white bread, some ultra-sweet danishes, a bunch of cookies, chicken wings & french fries, and lots more.
Four weeks left for this challenge. Can I do 20lbs in four weeks (5lbs/week)? I sure are **** am going to give it a shot!

caliyah - i love jillian's podcasts. i learn soo much. i used to listen to them every sunday while i cleaned and cooked and it helped my week go smoother. maybe i will start listening again
umm my eating is better today. it hasnt been stellar. i am going out of town in the morning so thats an issue as well. i am going to try to make sure i make the best choices possible and i am bringing my workout gear.

I have the right food and the right attitude today and my only goal is eat POP and make it to the gym today. Yes that is one goal bcause it goes hand in hand! Hey I worked off my last two tags last night. Hallelujah :carrot: I did pretty good on food yesterday and I made it to the gym. Actually I did go over a few pts but hehe I needed salad dressing on my salad. So I can not complain one bit about yesterday I reached my goal.

On another note: I stayed on track yesterday! I made it to the gym and got in 70 minutes of cardio even with bloating and cramping. I was so proud.

Happy Monday Ladies!
My goal for this week is to get seven hours of cardio in. I couldnt help but to weigh in this morning and the 240 is leaning toward 239 lol I was down to 220 in feb so all the weight im relosing is just extra work but Im motivated nonetheless. I am trying to break the 220 mark this time.

So why did I learn today that there are fresh baked cookie in my building at 2:00 everyday? And you can only buy them in bundles of three. I gave in and had them. I will definitely NOT be making that a habit. But I had been on plan thus far and will work out this evening. I think I'm just gonna have soup for dinner.
Anybody read the beck diet solution? I have it and am reading it now. It's more about the mental part of loosing weight and there are these little things you should do everyday. Haven't done them yet, but I could see how a lot of them could be helpful.

So in terms of how I am coming along…so this past week was TOM and I have not at all come near a scale, I really feel like taking a two week break from the scale. I fell off the exercise wagon because I felt so bad I just did not have motivation/energy to workout. I can be so out of it during TOM and I had about two or three not so good days where I was a bit off plan…. = / but I am now strictly back on plan. I’m getting ready to push myself harder this week. Okay ladies, let’s do this!!!

I have to be honest this is very challenging though but I guess its normal to not feel up to things on certain days. You just have to be able to get back in the game. I find that as long as I get my butt to the gym I dont really mind working out. Ive been doing great with it but sometime like yesterday when I dont go I feel guilty and bad and I dont know why. But your knocking on onderlands door so good luck with that
Sweetshauna - your doing your thing seems like you are getting closer to goal keep it up!
This week sounds like a great new start though I did work out over five hours last week the only day I missed was saturday.

You can do this Matilda! i feel everyday you just have to keep on renewing commitments and pushing yourself. HOnestly so long as we keep going we are going to get there. We need to do this for ourselves because we deserve this and 215 is a wonderful birthday present. You can do this! That's what I had to do to push myself through the past week or so to eat on plan even though I had a hard week. I knew I said I wouldn't do it but I decided to step on the scale...and it said 199!!!! The weight just came off as soon as TOM ended. I'm finally in onederland, I seriously was almost about to cry. Finally in onederland, last time i was in onederland and stayed there I was 13/14 years old and even then I was just barely in onederland. It's been forever since i've been this weight. and now that i'm in onederland i'm staying there! = )

Only ran 4 miles last night. Didn't want retain a bunch of fluid for muscle recovery the day of my WI so I cut it short. I will get back on it today!!!! I hope to have a great WI and my eating has been on point! I even had flex points left over this week.....WOW!

Assorted Chocolates Tardy Challenge Weeks 4 and 5
So we all know we have to eat right, drink lots of water and exercise to be fit. But what about our brains?!? we definitely need to shrink our bodies but along with that it seems the hardest thing to shrink is our minds. we can hear ppl tell us how great we look and still see an obese person in the mirror! so the remainder of this week's challenge is twofold!
everyday i want u to share 5 different positive things about yourself with us!
2 have to be physical and body specific whether its i have a pretty face or i have a sexy a** whatever but 2 things everyday have to be about yr physical appearance the other 3 can be about your brain or your booty! whatever u choose!
also, i want everyone to think of a non-food rewards system for when u meet your goals! i know we all have goals so what do we do when we meet them??? whether its a new book or new workout gear or a massage whatever! figure out some things that u can reward yrself with that wont effect yr waistline!
this week negative thoughts and comments are not allowed :nono: in order for weight loss to stick we have to change not only the outside but the inside! let's do it chicas!

In the final week of this challenge it's time to balance the things we learned during weeks 1-5 and make this our best week yet! If you know u need to work on planning refer back to week 1, exercise week 2 etc. You know better than anyone what you need to improve on. Maybe you have a bad habit of rewarding your weight loss with food and putting yrself back at square 1. this week make sure u set a goal and reward yrself.
whatever yr struggle even if its something different than what is listed make a plan for correcting or dealing with it and come here and share with us. you may be able to help someone or vice versa!!! dont forget to weigh in and i will announce the winner next week!!:carrot::carrot::carrot:

I havent weighed in hopefully I will see a loss this friday this month I am going concentrate on doing a cycling class every friday morning its only a half hour but its still tough. I also think Ill stick more to jogging/running this month as well. I like to switch up my routine a little

Hey ladies..
...so I weighed in today and I unfortunately gained 2 pounds and I'm up to 199 = ( I've been updating my weigh ins for the challenge on the first page and I started off at 206 in the beginning of August when we started the challenge and it taken me all this time to lose 7 lbs and keep it off. (Not like the 2 lbs per week I hoped for...) I've noticed I lose weight in chunks and it just yo yos. Anybody else go through that? t has been a struggle from the start. I'm re-evaluating my eating and my workouts...i just signed up for a gym..i have been running from time to time on a treadmill at home but i think i'm going to kick it up a notch now because I haven't been consistent
