Yep I said it! I mentioned Christmas in JULY! But hear me out!

My last Challenge "4th of July Blast Off" was such a success I'm going for a more long term challenge!

Join me in weighing in weekly with a goal of...*drum roll* 50lbs by Christmas Day!

Wow this would be great. I don't think I could reasonably loose 50 lbs (I'd actually be at goal). But Maybe I'll set goal of 35 lbs (Goal 175). Start Weight on 7/15 - 210.

I need a good kick in the butt, and a way to remind myself this is for the long run!

I'm down for 50 pounds, though I always have to keep in mind that ANY weight lost is progress!! Starting at 250(ish), which is my highest weight ever - been fighting some health problems that have forced me to be inactive for a few months (along with poor eating, though that's nothing but my own poor choices!)

I am so in for this challenge. Losing 50 lbs would put me at 214 which would be the closest to 200 that I have been in probably 10 years. It's also perfect because I husband will be home from a year long deployment and I would love for him to see that his wife is thinner, healthy, and happier.

I usually weight in on Tuesdays so I am gonna to be posting a few days after everyone else, but I've learned the hard way to weigh myself only once per week.

I'm a newbie too - I am terrified at the thought of trying to lose 50 lbs by a certain date, so I'd like to focus more on the workout totals. That's 22 weeks of workouts at ~4.5 hrs. per week, or 45 minutes a day/6 days a week. That is a big challenge for me, but just what I need to keep me motivated!

I would like to join. If I could lose 50 pounds by Christmas I would be over the moon (and then some)! Summer and Fall are my best times of year for weight loss, so I am going for it!

We are taking a one week vacation to Cancun in November, so hopefully this will help keep me on track during that week.

I am a little late but I already have christmas as one of my target dates so I am joining in on the fun!! As an added perk I need to do well because I am spending Christmas in Hawaii and want to look my absolute best :)

Goal: 40 lb by Christmas Day (That's about 2.5 lb a week), and to fit nicely into a new bathing suit I just bought (Its a size 12, and snug) or to have to buy a smaller one.

This last five weeks I've been thinking that I've been losing soooo slowly, but this just goes to show that I'm actually doing it pretty on par with what I have been wanting. 10 lbs. in 6 weeks! I may not make 50, but I'm going to be close if I keep up the pace that I'm at! And close is good enough for me!

Mom, this is my first challenge too, so I'm not sure if we are supposed to be adding or editing. I sent the OP a PM a while back, but she is MIA. I see others are editing too, so there are a lot more people still doing the challenge than I had thought. :)

I changed my goal to 40 pounds because 50 was just unrealistic for me. Even 40 will be tough!

How is everyone else doing?

Late arrival, ,but my goal is to be below 200 by end of year. I'm not particular by how much, as long as its 199 or lower. 2 lbs a week seems doable, which puts me at 32 lbs, which would be great, but I just want the 17 to get where I wanna be at years end.

I'm new here...so Hi! :hug:
I'm not new to losing weight though. I lost 50 pounds last year, only to put it all back on after having abdominal surgery (which was unrelated to my weight).
But I want to do this again and this time with some support. So here I am!
I'd love to join the Jingle Away the Jiggle Challenge, even if I am a little late. I'm not officially starting my new diet regimen until September 14th though. I have to go grocery shopping first, which I only do on the weekends because the nearest grocery store is quite far away. I'm considering this week as my last week of "freedom". I'll try not to overdo it of course! :p
So my goal for the challenge is to lose 28 pounds, or 2 pounds per week. Which would make my weight 219 pounds. My weigh-in will be on Sundays.

not exactly sure why we need to gain/retain weight when TOM is expected, but we do. also kicked up excersizing time this week, increased cardio by 15 mins and moved up another 5 lbs in weights, and i'm fiddling with how many extra calories blah blah.
