Announcements and Forum Help! - Help With Site Question
Hi, I'm looking for some help with rules because I don't want to break them so please bear with me. I'm an Inedependant Designer and have recently gotten several requests for "Plus" Size Handbags. I am not a Plus Size woman so I was new to this dilema. I went ahead and Created a few and am looking to get some feedback. I'm not looking to drum up business but just get some honest input, (I don not have a www dot but a private site for viewing Photos) Is there anyway to accomplish this without offending the sensiblities of this site? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Karen

Why do plus size people need plus sized handbags??
Can't we just carry regular bags??
What's the difference?? Extra storage for snacks?? Ridiculous ...

That was sort of my question too - what, precisely, is a "plus sized" handbag, as opposed to a standard one?
Of course, I know that proportion sometimes makes a big difference. At my higher weight, there were pieces of jewelry that I couldn't pull off because they were delicate and tiny and I was, well, not. Even now, I need things with a little heft, or they get lost on me. But handbags already come in a wide variety of sizes, from tiny and delicate to big and roomy.

In general, you aren't going to be able to go to many places as a brand new member to a community and just ask for feed back on your new product that you have for sale. I suggest that you check out a place that you are already a member of - or just put your designs on Etsy and see how actual sales go.

But I am REALLY curious what makes a purse "plus size". The only thing I could think of is a longer strap.

A plus size purse?
Just when I thought I heard it all.

I have done some research!
Apparently the key differentiators between a "plus size" purse and a regular purse are:
1. Ample straps to fit larger arms comfortably.
2. Larger purse body so as not to look teensy in comparison to torso

Hmm, ok... Just one more thing to get rid of once we drop the weight I would say.

I'm new and have just been reading. I'm also new to forums, and have already messed up trying to get something put on here. Don't know where it went. Anyway, I'm plus size, hate shopping, trying to lose weight, and have the yoyo effect. I'm the kind of person that needs to have bells and whistles when I lose a pound or two. Any suggestions about buying clothes for the plus size lady. I'm not too particular about what size purse I have as long as all my junk fits in. Please help.
