Awesome garden Trazey! I LOVE to see city dwellers farming their little corner of the world! Wow...no weeds either! I spent 1/2 the day pulling weeds and still have a plenty!

I planted a second season crop of watermelon, cantaloupe and cucumbers today. If we don't get an early frost, this batch should be producing mid-October. Oh my, more weeds. ;)

Great garden !!!!

About the only thing I am able to harvest at this time is spinach. Planned to put in peas but didn't get around to it this year... not sure what happened there..lol.

The only downside to gardening is come winter I really miss my fresh tomatoes.... nothing else compares.

So what's your address? And how big of a bucket should I bring?

Beautiful garden and I'm so jealous. I've just started growing annuals in containers on my little apartment patio, and am now considering that next year I will see what I can do with growing my own little container veggie garden.

How easy is it to grow jalapenos? I love them and tomorrow I will have to buy just one for a recipe I'm doing this week. I don't even know if the store will know how to charge for one jalapeno pepper. :D

That's great!!! :D

My "garden" this year consists of 4 big pots on my deck with some peppers and tomatoes. Gotta start somewhere. ;)

I'm proud of the NO WEEDS that's my little routine every morning to get my coffee and scour the landscape LOL my DH says I'm a bit anal and that the outside doesn't have to be as clean as the inside hahahah

and Pita the jalepenos & cayenne are super easy, i bought a little plant already started for $1 at the market assuming it would die the next day but it really took like crazy! the peppers are hot but not mind-blowing

better health3

You have absolutely no idea how freaking jealous I am! LOL.

You and me both. Oh how I would love my own garden.

Enjoy Trazey.

It's just not fair!
I'm in Zone 3--I'm guessing you are a Zone 5? Our first frost free date is supposedly May 21st--but we had frosts in June this year--and NO RAIN until this week, practically.

Not that we planted anything. I still haven't figured out the timing of everything yet.

We DID build boxes in anticipation but then ran out of money to fill them with dirt. Sigh.

That does give me a whole year to figure it out, though!

I'm jealous as well! Everything looks so great Trazey!

Alana-- We built a 10' x 4' x 16" 9tall) raised bed this year and I know what you mean about not being able to fill it. We were, but my goodness, it does cost a bit -- unless you know someone with a lot of compost AND you have a way to get it. And the time to fill it!! It took me hours to fill it with all the components mixed well!

What a tidy and gorgeous garden. That eggplant is too cool. I neglected to plant any eggplant this year. :(

I was gonna say I am so jealous, but I guess everybody is! I wanted to make a tomato patch, tilled up the soil, then didnt have the money for plants, then got theplants and the soil was already hard, so I just said forget it. Theres always next year! Enjoy your wonderful garden, you should be proud!

I didn't plant any this year either. I'm the only one in my family that likes it, and I only like it breaded and fried in eggplant parmesan...so I skipped it. Baba Ganoush is good at some restaurants, but I have never found a good recipe. Egg plant is so strange. One year I planted a six pack of plants and harvested probably 6 eggplant. The next year I planted 2 that some guy had extra and gave them to me. They looked terrible and you could tell they sat in his potting shed a little too long...I went ahead and planted them and they went crazy. Probably got 30 eggplant total from those 2 sickly plants.

This year my going crazy veggies are zucchini/summer squash and tomatoes. I pick 4-5 zucchini, and probably 3-4 yellow summer squash every day and my tomato plants are over 5 foot tall and absolutely loaded, (I'm talking 100's) of giant green tomatoes. I've had to steak cages with fence posts to keep them from falling over from the weight. When they start turning, I'll be doing the salsa dance for days!

I'm terribly jealous too! It all loods beautiful. I simply kill everything!

Add me to the jealous list. My garden consists of a pot of basil (which I really have gotten a lot of use out of) and a couple window boxes of begonias and double impantiens. I'd like to do more, but my apartment gets really bad light for veggies.

You have absolutely no idea how freaking jealous I am! LOL.

Me too! I have a HUGE back yard and so many trees that I get absolutely no sun at all. I tried container tomatoes and peppers on my deck last year, and even the sun there wasn't strong enough for more than a few anemic fruits. I love my house and my trees, but man, do I ever miss growing vegetables. :(

Oh the bright (ha) side, I have a lovely shade garden out front!
