Default Well hello there...

I been fat all my life and now I decide I want to loose the weight..lol It's not easy. I started walk/jogging on July 1st. Very Painful but now I'm good, had to work those muscles harder. My sleep and diet aren't that great. I rarely eat junk food. I only eat twice a day if I eat more I get full and sick. Yet I can't loose the weight. I work as a nurse aid in a nursing home and I'm always walking back and forth. I cut down off my soda and now I just been drinking water and vitamin waters. Mostly water since its cheaper..lol
Now my sleep, since I work from 2pm to 11pm. I wont go to bed till like 5am since I cant fall asleep. But I get my 8 hours of sleep.

So I really don't know what to do. So I hope to find some good advice in this forum.

Thank you for your time

Hi and welcome to 3FC!

Could you give us some detail about your diet and we'll see if we can offer any advice?

Hugs

Eating twice a day is NOT healthy. It will also change your metabolism if you aren't eating consistently. Is there a way you can eat the same amount of food but split up into 5-6 smaller meals? I know sometimes I am just not hungry, but I will eat something (usually about 100 calories) just so that my metabolism stays in check. When you don't eat often enough, your body thinks it is starving and then it grabs onto and doesn't let go of what you give it because it isn't sure when it will be fed again. Good job on the start of running/walking. Keep it up!!!

hello! welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey! i'm also a cna..for now anyway. i just graduated nursing school but i have to wait to take my boards. i've been a cna for about 9 years tho and struggled with the 3-11 shift. i would go to bed around the same time and it really messed with my weight as well. i found that working the 7-3 shift helped me get organized with my eating and exercising. i also slept better and more regular. is this an option for you??

thanks for the welcome....
My diet usually consists of rice or beans and chicken or fish or stews around 12pm then for lunch break at 7pm ill eat the same thing I ate when I woke up. We are in a budget so yea. I drink water though out the whole day.

Now my work schedule I couldn't work from 6:30 to 3. I wouldn't be able to go to sleep at an early time I may have insomnia.
