Arrow Where Do You Shop For Pants? Size Related Quest.

Hi!

I was not quite sure where to post this. It's kind of related to the "Pants Size" thread. I was noticing that a lot of people who are the same height as me and around the same weight, or even heavier than me, are wearing WAY smaller pants sizes... so I was wondering...

Where do you shop for pants? Or clothes in general? I'd like to know because I'd like to go to the same places and see if I fit into the same sizes! Just curious. I'm sorry if this question is in the wrong area. Please feel free to move it if need be.

For pants, I normally go to Lane Bryant. While I actually buy most of my tops and dresses at "normal-size" stores, I still have to get pants there.

Can't wear Catherine's pants anymore, they are all too big now. (Wow, I think that may be an NSV!). Lane Bryant mostly, I also have 2 pair of jeans from Costco, Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" jeans. They go up to a size 18 there and I think they are the most wonderful jeans I've ever owned.

I buy mine at Lane Bryant, and just recently got a pair I really like at Belk.

I get mine mostly from Goodwill. Mostly I buy Gap, Old Navy and Levi's there. And occasionally Lucky jeans. I can wear a 4 in all these brands now. I'm 5'3"
and just about 130 lbs (alot of my weight is on top though).

I love DKNY jeans (size 16) from Macy's-- they're not expensive, maybe $50, and they fit like a dream!

Mrs. Lovett, I know what you mean! It seems like people my height and weight are wearing fours, sixes and eights, while I'm wearing a ten! I think it all depends on how our weight is distributed.

I buy mine at yard sales~thrift stores Ect for the moment ~because They are too expensive to buy new when losing weight.

I buy Name brands usually regardless.
They just seem to be made better to me.
Levis/tommy hilfiger/gap/Old Navy/LEI ~Iactually think they sell LEI at walmarts now and I know they sell Levis strauss there.)

Maybe go to a local thrift store....Or a local walmart...to try things on and The prices at both are reasonable.

Just a added note:
My mother weighs 2lbs less than me and is actually 2 inches taller than me and wears a womens size 18 & 20's
(she weighs 190 and is 5 ft 7inches)
My daughter is 5 ft 2 inches weighs 164 and wears 10's and 12's

I am 5 ft 5 inches and I am wearing size 12's in All brands and some 11 jrs when I find them.) I actually wear the same 12's that my daughter fits into at a smaller weight.... So it's basically a shape issue also.Even though she is shorter My mom is taller
We all lose our weight differently & our shaped differently.

I buy pants at Lane Bryant and Fashion because of their "right size" selection. I wear a 22W and am an apple shape, so jeans from most other stores are too large in the butt and hip areas. I occasionally find decent fitting pants at Target as well.

Question

Hmmm... I see a variety. I shop at Target mainly. I fit an 8 in women's and 11 in juniors! Why am I so big? I'm 5'4" and 137.5 lbs. Don't know what shape my body is... I kinda don't fit into any of the categories really. I have no butt, a large bust, small-ish waist, and large thighs. What does that make me? I don't really know!

I have to second DKNY jeans, I go to Younkers...they fit great and aren't as expensive as I would have thought. I always shop the sales!! I also have a really cute pair from the Buckle. They are from when I was in a 14/16 and need to be replaced but I will not do that until goal .

I'm an 18 and I buy my clothes at New York & Company. They have a great website if the store is out of 18s.

Another DKNY fan here. I wear a size 4R (though the 4S sometimes works). In most brands I wear a 4, but occasionally I buy 2 or 6 - it really depends upon the brand.

Of course "vintage" clothes can be a size 8 or 10.
