G'day all,
It is late here in Hong Kong, I have had a lovely time sending off some emails and having a read what you are all up to.
I thought Slavika would have been back by now, pleased to hear she is having a good time.
I am enjoying exploring the city but got a bit of a surprise today. There are very few toilets to be found so I don't drink as much water as I should but the occasion does still arise that I need to use one :D
I was getting a little desperate today when I spotted some public toilets when I went in there it was just a hole in the ground http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif I won't go into anymore detail, I am sure you can picture the scene ;)
Other than that, Hong Kong is quite unbelievable coming from little ol' Adelaide in Australia :D. So many skyscrapers. I met someone who said the only other place where there are so many sky scrapers is Manhattan.
Tomorrow we are off to Macau, another island off the coast of China.
I think I am staying within my points, had some really good food but also some very ordinary food :(
It will be interesting to see what I weigh on my return. I joined the locals again for Tai Chi this morning, I really enjoy it. It must be very good for you, there are some quite elderly people doing it as well, they seem really flexible.
Dh is starting to turn out the lights, I think it must be time for me to sign off.
Cheers
Maria

Hi gals....this site looks really nice :)

Lily I am not happy being a "Senior Member" either, I will have to think up something else like you did.

What happened to Thread #99?

Did you check out the smilies, not as many as before, but a couple of cute ones I will have to try to fit into the conversation. ;)

The spell check will come in handy.

Got to go and see what is new, I will check on you all later.....Trudy :D

As for the Ones under the post that is in the signature. You need to use the BB codes for that. If you have one you need help with let me know

I have a couple for you two. Will send an email as soon as I get them.

I Really need to start using the spell check!

Hi Everybody Well LILY if we don't find our lost thread should we just consider the next thread to be No. 99 (again) :?:
Board looks nice tho, don't you think? I think I will have to take a computer course for slow learners to learn how to use the avatar/pictures feature. YIKES. :dz:
Smilies are sure cute. hee hee :D
Ok, looks like a lot of our gals did not find there way to our brand new board yet. Maybe tomorrow.
I'm with TRUDY I want a nice new name too just like our LILY has. AND a cute little avatar too. Never heard of that word in my entire life until today. I think I will like it almost as much as I like Lily's "ALAS".
Ok, it's beddie time for me, before I go, Hi there Lela, that was a pretty SMALL post you typed up. How are you doing, and what have you been up to.
Night all.

Hi Lela, nice to see you back. What have you been up to?
Try as I might, I couldn't get an Avatar to work Lily. Thanks for sending me the addresses. I need to go to school to learn how to do the fun things. I thought of a name for myself, but forget where the spot is to change from a Senior Member. Oh well, tomorrow will have to do.

I hope the rest of the gals find us. It could get lonely with only the 4 of us posting.

I just noticed at the bottom of where we post the reply there is ATTACH FILE: - and a spot for VALID FILE EXTENSIONS: gif jpg txt....does that have something to do with placing an Avatar? Hmmmmmm???

Well, see you all tomorrow..Good Night :)

Hi all.

Just found my way here. It all looks different but change is good.

Well we've had quite a day. My husbands brother passed away this afternoon. So you can guess it's been busy at my house. All the arrangements have to be made by phone as brother lived in Jacksonville, Florida. DH's Sister is just too upset to even think . She has been caring for him for the last couple of years. Anyway the funeral is set for Sunday we will get there late Saturday. All of our fight arrangement were made way last fall. At least we will be there for SIL and we'll be able to get her through the first few weeks. It was a shock but not really unexpected as he had been sick. He was not in good health at all but over the weekend seemed to be getting better. Needless to say this is not the way we'd like to start our vacation.

Hi all, I think Lily should give all of us computer lessons. How about it Lily? I never heard of an Avatar either. It is snowing here today but not very much. So much for the nice weather we were having. Karen I am sorry to hear about your bil. It is still hard even when it is expected. I will say a prayer for all of you. I thought we were on Thread 99 too. I wonder where it went. Trudy my cassette player ate my tape over the weekend right in the middle of a good story. Haven't replaced it yet. I am doing a shampoo study this week. I will probably wash all the color out of my hair. So far I am down another 1lb- tomorrow is wi so I will know for sure. Have a good day all, Peggy ;)

Ok All: If you have a picture you want to use as the Avatar. It needs to be on your computer somewhere. Then go into your profile. Click on Edit Options. Then go down to the very bottom where it says Avatar. And click on it. Once there Click where it says Use Custom Avatar "yes" Then Click where it says You can upload from your computer, on the browse button. Locate the image you want and double click on it. This should bring it into the box. Then you can click on Submit Modifacations.

To change the Text Underneath your user name. When in the Profile, Click on Edit Profile. Scroll down until you see "Custom User Text" Thats where it says Senior Member. Just erase it and type what you want then Click on the Submit Modifations at the bottom.
This is also where the Signature option is. You can use a smily there or and image but you will have to use the BB code to do it. If you click on the vB code it will give you some instructions. If you need help holler at me.

The browse button at the bottom when reply will just let you add and image if you want. Wont be there all the time. You would have to click on it each time you wanted the image to appear.

Lela: Good to see you back!

Slavika: The thread is gone I look all the back. We will just make the next one 100 as thats what it really is.

Karen: So sorry to hear about DH Brother. My thoughts are with you. Its still hard even tho it was expected.

Peggy: Good for you! Sounds like you will have a great WI!

Hi everyone,

I like the new board. it's nice to be able to scroll down and see the post . now I can remember (well look and see) who said what .
I need to find me one of those little guys like lily has, like the rest of you never heard of a avatar before.

school been going good, but it does get harder as I go I will change class again next week don't know yet what classes I'll have will find out Thursday.

beside school, I can't think of much that I have been doing, just the every day stuff.

My DD was home this week end and will be home again next week-end March is such a hard month for her with spring break, but she is doing better this year and I guess each year will get better, we just try and stay busy and not think to much. and I try to stay out of the kitchen an away from food. I haven't gain any more weight but then I haven't lost any either, so once I can get pass March I should be able to get back on the losing track once again.

KARON will be thinking about you and your family

guess i had best close for now don't know if i've ever wrote so much at one time

night all

Thanks for all the help Lily. You certainly know a lot about 'puters. I am trying to find a cute Avatar....work, work, work. ;) I like the little guys you found. :D

Peggy glad to hear you are down 1 lb. You are on a roll. I have learned so much about 'puters here from these gals,.... much more than I got from a Night School Course. My cassette player had better not eat any of the Library tapes, I would hate to have to pay for one. Now you're on a Shampoo Study... do you just keep on going on one study after another? Sounds good to me. :)

Karen Really sorry to hear about your BIL. My prayers are with your family. This is not a good way to start your vacation, but at least you will be there for your SIL.

I saw Slavika today, and is she ever nicely tanned and healthy looking. She brought me back a freshwater pearl anklelet (I always wanted one) and scented sea shells. Dee came too and she is looking good.

I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow... :)

hi everybody
LILY Thank you so much for giving us lessons on using avatars. I went with the little doggie but in the next few days I will search around for something different. You are a very "smart cookie". Should use that under your name. :D
LELA Glad school is going ok for you and that you are sticking with it. How long do you plan on attending classes?
PEGGY What's this about a "shampoo study"? Did I miss something when I was away? :?:
KAREN sorry to hear about your bil. It's always difficult to lose a family member even if they have been sick a long time.
TRUDY :smug: Well with Lily's help we changed our names and also have an avatar. Oh we are just so smart. It sure was nice to see you and DEE today at Tea Time. I missed you guys. Dee looked good today and that makes me happy.
Good night all.

Lela: Sounds like school is working out for you. How much longer do you have with school?
Must be nice having DD home for a bit.

Peggy: Let us know how the shampoo testing goes. What product are they using?

Trudy: Glad to hear Dee is looking good. Bet that pearl anklet is pretty! I bought one when I was there. Love the anklets in the summer time.

Slavika: I think you should be MasterCook, or Master Chef. You are a super cook!

Glad you figured it out. Heres another place to look for clipart:
http://www.barrysclipart.com/

When doing a search look for "GIF Animation" or "ClipArt". Dont look for Avatar. Might end up in some really strange places you dont want to be. Dont know why this board calls it that. ;)

Hello don't get lost!

I'll be back :)

Thanks for all you prayers. DH is down with a cold now I think it is the stress of his brothers death. He doesn't do a lot of talking about his feeling so it comes out in the form of some kind of sick. When His other brother passed away a year and a half ago he wound up in the hospital with an infection around the lining of his heart. He is going to the doctor tomorrow!!

Lily thanks for the lesson . I'd like another name got any suggestions??

I like the idea that you are notified when someone post.

Had a big crowd at my meeting tonight. Was a good meeting. I'll miss them all while I'm gone. Never thought I'd ever say that after the slow start when I took over that meeting. Things change.

Hi all, Karen I hope that your DH is doing o.k. This has to be very hard on him. Slavika I think if you go into your profile you can stop the e-mails. L ela I admire you for going to school. Went to Wild Oats yesterday and bought some No Pudge Brownie Mix. It is almost too good. A friend gave me a recipe for WW cookies. They sound good. After I try them I will send Lily the recipe and she can put it on your recipe page. Have to run now - computer is acting strange today. Peggy

Hi Margot! Good to see you!

Karen: Super Leader! Cuz you are a great leader! Sorry to hear about your DH now. Hope he doesnt end up in the Hospital this time. Wish Guys would talk, but they sure have a hard time letting thier feelings out. My DH is the same way. Im sure this is really hard on him.

Maria: Sounds like you made it!I looked at the places when you posted it and they look pretty nice. Course that thread is lost now. Maybe you shold post it again in case others missed it.

Peggy: Those No Pudge brownies are yummy! Havent made them in a long time.

Hi Everybody
LILY Thanks once again for the computer lesson. Please note I have a new little avatar, waving to you and the rest of the gals. :D
I had a pleasant day out with my friend today, shopping and lunch. The one thing I bought today was some finger nail products. When I was in Maui, I actually grew finger nails but when I got back here with the furnace running all the time I guess they get dry and snap off. My DIL told me some things to get so I did and I worked on my nails a bit this evening.
Well I see my "friend" the dentist tomorrow
I gained weight when I was in Maui, and my lunch was fairly big today, but DH was out of town for the day and evening so I didn't have to make a big supper.....I hope that evens my day off.
ALAS it is so easy to gain weight and so difficult to lose.
TRUDY and I are thinking of ordering some of the Baker Cookies. For those of you who have ordered them, what are your favorites.
Night all.

It's just me again. I was just wondering why my little computer guy (actually it's Ralph I think) looks like a postage stamp with that white around him. Ok here I'll try again.....

Ok, that's better now, fixed.

Guess what TRUDY we have more similies now.
I love this one :nono:
It means "No, No, don't do DAT" :D

DH went to the doctor and got pills for the flu and pills for depression. I'm sure glad he went. We finally tracked down DH other sister. So now she knows about her brother. Don't think she'll make it to the service on Sunday but at least she knows.

Had a busy WW day lots of new members and one that I sent a special card of encouragement to lost 5 pounds. She was thrilled and so was I . Did tell you guys that One of the members in my Tuesday group hit a 75 pound loss this week. It took a year for her to do it. She still has some to go but she is a success already!!

Slavika I get the e-mail too and I need to stop them before I leave. Going to check out that profile thing now.

See you guys later

I just typed out this "lovely" post...and then I lost it. :?: Where do they go?
Slavika I love your "waving computer".. he is so cute. You found the right one. I am going to take a look at your finger nail supplies, I need some, my nails are always breaking. The new smilies are teriffic. :D
Karen I am glad to hear your DH went to the doctor.. it will make the ordeal a bit easier. I feel for you going to the funeral this weekend.
And yes, that member who lost 75# is a success already, and you helped her become one. That has to make you feel good. :)
Lily..I can't stop the e-mail from arriving either. I used to take a shortcut and click on the wgbcreations site you made, and then go to the members board, but now that doesn't work...?? Any solutions, oh wise one? Another good name for you would be Web Wizard.
Peggy Better get that recipe typed out...I need chocolate. :o
Maria Hi to you in Sydney. The apt sounds luxurious.. need the site to give it a look over again. :^:
Margot Hi to you too!! Check back and let us know how you are doing.

Slavika, Dee (if we can talk her into it ) and I will be ordering some BB cookies, and your input as to the favorites will be taken into consideration. I read on Dotti's board that they have changed the ingredients and so the points are higher.... is this true?

Well, I am sending this off now..no doubt you will be getting your notification in the mail telling you Trudy has posted.... :smug:

Good Morning all, Looks like it will be another nice day. The snow the other morning only lasted for a few hours and then was all melted by afternoon. You can't imagine the commotion it causes in the morning with the traffic when there is a little ice and snow. Karen, glad you dh went to the doctor. I hope it helps him. You have to be a good leader to your members. Haven't tried the BB Cookies. They sound good but I also saw over at Dotti's that they went up in points. You gals try them and let me know. Definitely lost 1lb this week. I think the mall walking with my friend at night helps although last nite we stopped at Gloria Jean's and had a vanilla caramel latte. Can't do that every nite. Lily thanks for the lesson. I am still working on it. The shampoo thing is a 2 in 1 vitamin shampoo with conditioner. It is in a secret bottle so I don't know what it is. I like it so far. They give you $12 and the shampoo to use for a week. Maria on the lose thread we were wondering what a fully serviced apartment means? It sounds wonderful. Trudy will post the recipe tomorrow. Have a good day, Peggy ;)

Hi Everybody For those of you who have been receiving "e-mail notification " everytime somebody posts on a board that you posted on and don't want that feature, Suzanne has fixed the problem. Go back into "profile", then go to "edit" and opposite the "e-mail notification" box, click NO. When you click on "NO" now it stays on "NO".
Thanks Suzanne.

G'day all,

Still very limited with my internet access, however I take every opportunity that I get albeit for only a short time:(
It is really nice to get a chance to read what you are all up to, love your avatars!!!!
I am well and adjusting to life in very busy Sydney.
The apartment is very posh and by serviced it means that each day someone comes to make the bed and do a bit of a tidy and twice a week the place is vacuumed and once a week the sheets and towels are changed.
I think it is a little over the top for someone to make the bed each day after all I have nothing else to do but I am happy for someone to vacuum and change the sheets.
I hope to try and find some sort of course to do in the 4 months that I am here. I am not really fussed what I do as long as I learn something and have a bit of a commitment with something whilst I am here.
I have searched the net and have found a few things worth following up. In the meantime I am knitting furiously to try and get the jacket finished for my daughter, I have a few books on the go and I am trying to straighten out some of the files on my laptop.
Speaking of books, whilst in Hong Kong I read a book called 'Wild Swans' it was a true story of 3 women, grandmother, mother and daughter and how they experienced China before, during and after the time that Mao came to power. If you get a chance to read it I would highly recommend it.
Take care all,
Cheers
Maria

Good Grief! I had bookmarked the old site with the message about updating the site. I just kept going to it all week and it never changed. Today I finally thought it might just be bookmarked to that message and it was. So, anyway I found myself here. What a change! I hope I can follow Lily's instructions about getting an avatar(?). First thing, I don't know where my "Profile" is. Whoops! Just found it! How is that for being computer illiterate? Have patience!

This is a cool looking site!

Karen - I am so sorry to hear about your BIL. It is just never easy to say good-bye to anyone.

So glad Dee was looking good too. Wasn't she supposed to have a procedure in March that would help her?

I have so been needing to talk to you all! I have been OP for 2 weeks and, I mean, OP (perfect). I have lost .4 pounds and yesterday a whopping .2 pounds! I am going to try something new. I have been going after work. I have a real problem in that I drink all the time. Yesterday I estimated that by the time I went to WW I had drunk 100 ozs. of liquid. (I know I am weird.) To not be able to drink or eat before WW would just be too much for me, I know. Anyway, I am going on Monday to weigh in on my break at 10:30. I can refrain until 10. And I will see what I really weigh. Do you think that is a good suggestion? This is what I have come up with.

Boy, is my post a plain-jane! I will try to work on it!
Glenda
