I am wondering if anyone has a scale at home that they feel is very accurate? My scale is cheap and very old, and I'm pretty sure that it under-weighs . . . every time that I go to the Doc's office I'm always weighed about 6-8 lbs more than at home. I'd really love to get a more accurate scale for at-home use . . . any suggestions?

I have a digital scale that I bought at Wal-Mart for $35. It weighs to .2 of a lb so even smaller losses are able to be celebrated! I know, for me, when I weigh at the doctors office I am clothed - as opposed to weighing at home in my birthday suit, so the number is always higher at the office.

Does it really matter that you weigh exactly 110 pounds or do you just want to lose a few pounds? If you just want to lose a few pounds don't bother wasting your money on a scale. Just lose "x" pounds on your scale. Why get caught up in an arbitrary number? You could step on 20 different scales and they could all say something different.

Thanks! I am actually comparing clothed weighing on my scale to clothed weighing on the doc's scale. I like that the scale you speak of weighs to .2 of a lb. I'll check that one out! Thanks again!

My scale is old, has a cracked window, and underweighs by several pounds. I am in a unique situation in that I am a dancer (and a SAHM now), so I feel even a 5lb loss or gain very significantly. Having been a sufferer of eating disorders for decades (under control right now), I just don't like the surprise that I get each time I go to the doctor's office. I'm planning to replace my scale anyway, so I just wanted some opinions.
