Im new to south beach starting today, I have been reading around for a while and think you beachers can help keep me on track, just got my supercharge book but have not read it yet.
Im 44 married 18 years, have 4 children and 3 1/2 grandchildren all living with me so its pretty hard to watch what I eat when all we do is eat! being from the south and having to cook since I was 12 has really put the weight on me. So here I am hoping to learn from all of you the ways of this diet, Hope you dont mind questions from time to time.:)

:welcome3: Momofstbernard! I'm glad you have the book, make sure you read it thoroughly so you'll understand the fundamentals of this plan to ensure your success. :) We have a Phase 1 thread going that you will find very helpful and motivating, and please look around at the rest of our forum, too. We have some tasty recipes in the recipe section to give you lots of variation for your meals, and you'll find lots of answers to questions you may have in our FAQs.
Good luck, and we hope to hear from you often!

Good Morning MomofSTBernard:sunny:and:welcome2:

Wow! What a busy home life you have. I'm glad you've decided to hang out here. Most of my weight was lost just making healthier decisions and moving more. I am 7 weeks into SB as a new lifestyle.
I was thinking this morning how much practical information is here at the :beach:. The book is great, but whenever I have a question I just type it out.
Best Wishes! Save a little time for yourself and come visit us often.

:welcome3: Mom!

So glad you are reading the book first. It's key to success on any plan, IMHO, but especially on this one. Feel free to ask questions as you work through the book, and check out the stickied post in our main forum on how to prepare for success on this plan.
