Does anyone know anything about acai berry or acai. My friend drinks it, claims it aids weight loss, but yet doesn't see anything changing for her. Just curious. I am starting fat smash, and thought I would add that in as well.

Acai has been proven to be a great antioxidant, which puts it in the same category as other "superfruits" like blueberries. Antioxidants do a lot of things in the body, including helping to prevent cell damage.

Antioxidants do NOT, however, do anything for weight loss. And if you're drinking it in juice form, it's most likely going to be adding excess calories to your day. And Fat Smash doesn't allow juice anyway, at least not in the first phase.

i asked my boyfriends brother about this because he works for a major pharmaceutical company. he said that it is a good antioxidant and will definitely aid in digestion and...ahem bowel habits (i can definitely attest to this) unfortunately, it does not help you lose weight. it gave me a bit more energy tho so it might be worth a try! good luck!

I love acai berry juices...but I am with Mandalinn, that I use it like any other superfruit-blueberries, pomegranate, etc. They are extremely nutritious and healthy...but they don't have anything to do with weight loss, only general health.
