Actually I feel darn right incredible! The plan I am on is counting calories with walking as exercise. I walk 5-6 times a week some of those are hikes in the mountains. The walking has helped me immensely. At first I started with 30 minute walks but now I go for usually 2 hours and a lot more when I hike. I love to walk, its my time to think, daydream about my goals and think about things I have going on. The walking has toned up my legs a lot. Food wise I always eat over 1500 calories a day, usually around 1800. I tend to eat the same stuff for breakfast and lunch because I enjoy them and they fill me up. I still probably eat at McDonalds once a month maybe twice, but my kids actually prefer subway now lol. I have found that soda is something I can live without but chocolate isn't lol I will have a candy bar maybe once or twice a week and other weeks I won't have that overwhelming urge for one. Nothing is off limits for me I have things that I can live without, and things that I still eat but no longer 4-5 servings at once. Thank you. I am very fortunate that I am a stay at home but both my kids (7 and 9) go to school so I tend to do my big walks while they are gone. When they get home from school they sometimes like to go for a hike and the weekends they like to hike with me also. They do sport practice several times a week and instead of standing watching if I haven't been for a walk that day I walk around the field and watch at the same time. When they were playing hockey I would walk around the ice rink during practice for the whole time we were there. If we havent planned a hike on a weekend day I will get up early and get my walk in before everyone gets up. With summer upon us I will get up early and get my walk in before my husband goes to work, take them for a hike, or just plan on doing it while they are practicing their sports. I am counting calories and walking about 6 days a week. As of right now I am vigorously walking for about 45 minutes a day (3 miles)... and I'm adding more every week.
