20-Somethings - A Thread for getting out of the 160s

Pages : [1] 2 3

Hey Ladies- I haven't been around in a couple weeks, but I'm back and I thought a thread for the 160s would be great motivation for me.
I saw there was one for 170s and 150s, but I didn't see a 160s.

Is anyone interested in checking in and having a support thread for getting out of the 160s?

I'm at 169.4 this morning ;) My goal is 135, but my mini goal is to see 159 because it's been waaaaayyyy too long since I've seen that on a scale.

I'm going to be joining a gym today (because my eliptical isn't doing the job anymore) I plan on going to a Power class two days a week and a cardio class three days a week.

Anyone with me? :carrot:

06-15-2009, 01:13 PM
I'm at 164.25. I was at 163.5 before this weekend, and i'm a little disappointed i went up, but it's not surprising because i was visiting friends and definitely ate/drank a lot.

Yaay for trying to get to 159!

06-15-2009, 01:15 PM
I was thinking about starting this thread as I've been hovering in the low 160s for a month or two (I had 1 day at 159). It is my June goal to hit 155 by the end of the month, which would be more weight than I'm accustomed to putting off in a month, but hey, it's a goal and if I set the bar high even if I fail I'll (hopefully) be out of the 160s! I haven't weighed myself since Friday, and I made a deal with myself not to get on the scale again till this Friday since I was getting a little obsessive, but I think right now I weigh 160 and hopefully this will be the push I need to really break into the 150s.

06-15-2009, 01:17 PM
I weighed in at 161.5 on Friday. I'm preparing myself to see the scale go UP this Friday at my weekly weigh-in, since last week I lost 3.3 pounds and I'm convinced my scale was wrong.

My goal is 130/135 but one of my mini goals is 155 - which I want to reach by the time my family visits on July 22nd. (They are going to be so surprised to see the weight loss!) So I sooo want to be out of the 160s!

My plan is to continue going to the gym 4 times a week (45-55 min on elliptical and a little bit of weight training). BUT, I'm going to start running on the treadmill too. I'm scared as ****, because not only am I overweight and suck at running, but I step heavy with my right foot, so my running on a treadmill sounds like this: *BOOM* (right) boom (l) *BOOM* (r). sigh.

06-15-2009, 01:47 PM
I have been in the 160s for wayyyyy to long!!
I have been 163.8 for over 2 weeks and i desperately want to break into the 150s hopefully this thread and all of the encouragement and accountability will be just the boost i need!

I am in! But I was 161 this morning, so hopefully not too far to go. On the other hand that was down 1.5 from the day before, which seems unlikely, so maybe it'll pop back up tomorrow. I hope not as I find that demoralizing despite knowing there is nothing to worry about.

06-15-2009, 02:17 PM
I am @ 167. Thanks for starting this thread, I will post as and when I have progress.

06-15-2009, 04:20 PM
Count me in!!! I'm on a huge deadline I'm constantly thinking about (wedding in September)... My goal for that is 145, but I think I might be pushing it with the way my weight loss has been going (slooooow).
I've been weighing 165 the past 2 weeks or so, this morning I weighed 163, but I've been a little sick the past two days so I won't get my hopes up, since it's most likely water weight.

We can do it!!!

06-15-2009, 04:41 PM
I was 159 for a mili second about a month ago and that wasn't good enough! I start boxing again tomorrow (after recovering from a back injury) and I hope to make it twice a week along with going to the gym 3-4 times a week. I want to be 155 by the end of July.. eek! Guess I shouldn't have eaten that pizza last night.

06-15-2009, 05:46 PM
I was thinking of starting this thread too!!
I weighed in at 168.2 on thursday.
I'm doing WW and 30 DS

yay can't wait!!:cb:

06-15-2009, 06:05 PM
I'm in! I've been hanging out between 161-163 for at least a month now...time for some forward progress!! I'd like to break my plateau and get into the 150s before July (seems like it should be easy, but it's proven to be very hard!).

06-15-2009, 06:21 PM
Yes, yes, yes! I'm in!

06-16-2009, 04:26 PM
I cheated today and weighed myself on the scale at the gym, even though I said I wasn't going to weigh myself till Friday. I'd been feeling really fit and just couldn't resist a peek, and the scale read 156...yikes! I think most of that is water weight so I'm going to wait a week to officially declare myself out of the 160s, knock on wood. It's about time I had another big drop though--It's been happening about once a month for the last three months, where i see some very incremental and yo-yo progress, and then shed about 4lbs pretty quickly, and then hold steady again, so we'll see.

06-16-2009, 04:54 PM
Hey i was just wondering if i could join! I am 168lbs and hoping to get out of the 160's! Only problem is i'm not 20 anything til next year! :( can i still join!?
Jess x x

06-16-2009, 05:14 PM
jellybelly... yes of course you can join! :)

06-16-2009, 06:02 PM
Thank you! just what i need to keep tabs of meself!

06-16-2009, 06:56 PM
yes yes yes! i have not been in the 150's since high school. i weigh in tomorrow and i should be around the 164-163 mark but my goal is to be in the 150's by July 1st. i weigh in on wednesdays, so i guess i will weigh myself tomorrow and keep posting my progress!

06-16-2009, 08:08 PM
today I am at my lowest weight since freshman year of high school and maybe even eighth grade!!
I am 163.4 so I am hoping that this week I will get into the 162s :)
I had sushi tonight for dinner and hopefully the sodium wont do anything funny to me in the morning I was so good today!! i hope everyone else it doing great too

06-16-2009, 08:21 PM
i'm so in! i've been stuck here for a bit. i went down to 159.8 and lost it, and then somehow in a matter of 2 days was back up to 165. I've been stuck there for quite a while. Going through some really tough emotional times right now, so it might not work out too well but i'm going to try!

...and I gained a pound overnight. I didn't exercise at all yesterday, but I also stayed on plan with the eating. Why??? I hate when this happens. I can handle a stall much better than these little ups and downs that have me second-guessing and berating myself and wishing I had skipped dinner or telling me I should do more exercise as a punishment... I know better than this! I do. Weight fluctuates a little, my plan is sound, I can have one freakin lazy day, and there is no need to punish myself even if I do screw up, which I did not. I am trying to train myself like I trained my dog: lots of praise for desirable behavior and just silently and quickly moving on to something positive when I screw up. But all my good intentions can't change my thought pattern and I am having a rough day in terms of self-image. And now I am off to the gym to replace bad thoughts with good behavior. Probably the endorphins will help, anyway.

06-17-2009, 12:35 AM
Hey ladies- today was good for me- I did splurge on chipolte, but I stayed under my calorie limit :)

06-17-2009, 11:30 AM
so i'm down to 162 YAY, of course it's becasue i've been such an emotional mess i haven't eaten in 3 days. i'm hoping that i can eat ok enough that it won't all come back on. keep our fingers crossed!

06-17-2009, 12:26 PM
i weighed in this morning and i am at 163.0 which is 1 lb over goal for the week yay! hoping to see the 150's sometime in the next week or two! keep up the good work everyone we can do this!

06-17-2009, 12:49 PM
164.4 on the scale this morning! Ugh I feel so close yet so far away. I had dairy queen for the first time in AGES last night. A small cappachino heath blizzard. 600 calories. Planned, so I didn't go over in points or anything, but I felt pretty sick afterwards, even if it was good. I have ice cream almost every night - skinny cow sandwiches or 0 pt fudgicles, but the blizzard was a bit much, even a small! Funny how your tastes change. I used to be able to eat that whole thing no problems.

Keep on truckin' gals... we'll be in the "getting out of the 150's" thread soon enough!

06-17-2009, 05:22 PM
Hey all, just thought i'd post to say i lost another 2lbs today! wahoo! 166lbs now and going down!
:D :D
we can do it!!
Jess x

06-17-2009, 05:46 PM
I was up this morning due to water retention I was up to 165.4 UGH!! but I drank tons of water to flush it all out and I already and back down to 164.8 so I am hoping that when I wake up in the morning I will see a loss because I have been perfectly on plan for the last week or so!!

06-17-2009, 11:02 PM
Oh, perfect thread. The 160s are my nemesis- I've always gotten stuck here. Oh how I long to see a 150-anything on the scale! Some of you ladies are so close- keep going and beat the evil 160s!

06-17-2009, 11:34 PM
I'm still at 169 :( tomorrow is another day I guess :) hope hope hope :)

06-18-2009, 01:38 AM
I'm going to Alaska for 3 weeks...hopefully I will manage to lose a pound or two while I'm gone, but my focus will be just maintaining around 162-3. I hope this thread is still going strong when I get back, though it seems like a few of you will have reached the 150s by then!! Best of luck!!

06-18-2009, 08:04 AM
I had gained this past weekend and then lost a little and gained a little, so I was at 164 yesterday morning. Yesterday was also my day of rest from serious working out, and I didn't eat particularly well (hot dog for lunch, burger for dinner) but when I got on the scale this morning I was 162.8.

It was unsurprising since I knew I had been retaining a lot of water, but it was still happy making! Hope I don't pop back up tomorrow.

I'm really really hoping I can keep myself under control this weekend and not go crazy eating just because my brother is coming to visit. Normally when he comes (which is every couple months) eating for us is sort of an event, we get ice cream and pastries and go out to taco bell. I just need to say no!

06-18-2009, 10:38 AM
Weighed in at 168 today, woo.

Ruby and icandoallthings- ahh, you guys are so close! Be good. :)

06-18-2009, 10:46 AM
Third day in a row in the mid-150s...first time out of the 160s in 3 years!! See you in the next thread :)

06-18-2009, 12:18 PM
Third day in a row in the mid-150s...first time out of the 160s in 3 years!! See you in the next thread :)

Congrats! Me = jealous!

06-18-2009, 12:27 PM
Thanks Ruby...Good luck this weekend resisting the taco bell, you are soooo close :)

06-19-2009, 07:43 AM
161.8, up 3 ounces. I probably would have actually lost if I had gone to the gym yesterday, but I was a bit put off because it was raining outside and I was up two pounds yesterday. =b By next Friday I WILL be out of the 160s. =)

06-19-2009, 08:05 AM
I weighed in at 161.8 today too, which is a one pound loss for me! If I can stick to my guns this weekend, I think I'll be out of the 160s in a week or so.

Good luck this weekend, everyone!

Stuck, stuck, STUCK at 162! It is driving me nuts! Mind, not so nuts that I went to the gym yesterday or anything. Oh well, I will do it tonight, and I HAVE been eating under my calorie limit, so it is bound to come off eventually. It's just science, right? Stupid plateau.

06-19-2009, 10:36 AM
Stuck, stuck, STUCK at 162! It is driving me nuts! Mind, not so nuts that I went to the gym yesterday or anything. Oh well, I will do it tonight, and I HAVE been eating under my calorie limit, so it is bound to come off eventually. It's just science, right? Stupid plateau.

When I plateau I stick to my eating plan but work out in the morning for a couple days. It's often just the bump I need.

06-19-2009, 04:05 PM
Last thursday I was 168.2 and yesterday I weighed in at 169.2! I gained a pound :(
Still in the 160's though but dying to get out! I'll keep working on it

06-19-2009, 08:45 PM
UGH!!!!!! I am still at 163.8 I cannot seem to break it, does anyone know if people just get "stuck" at a weight. I am starting to get discouraged because I have been working harder than ever and i am not seeing a change. Any tips or tricks to see a pound drop? haha

06-20-2009, 02:04 AM
AHHHH! I got on the scale this morning and was 159.8! I know it was because I haven't eaten in 4 days because I'm an emotional mess, but it was still the first time I've seen it like that in about 5 years, or more. I know it will go up as soon as I get myself back on track, but at least I know it is possible!

06-20-2009, 08:53 AM
159.5! Woot!

06-20-2009, 10:01 AM
159.5! Woot!

06-20-2009, 03:55 PM
I'm down to 164! I'm happy I'm losing weight, but I feel like it's not fast enough. Even if I keep losing 1 lb a week I'll only be to 150 by my wedding. I want to be to 140-145! I'm guessing it'll be at least 3 more weeks in this thread.
Good luck everyone! :)

06-20-2009, 05:44 PM
Thanks, Ruby!

I know what you feel like, Julie. My losses have slowed to about 1/2 lb most weeks, with a "good" week being a 1.5 lb loss. My comfort is that with all my exercise, I probably look better than I would at a lighter weight with no exercise, y'know? Plus, I don't think you will be thinking about your weight on your big day - too many other things to worry about/enjoy!!

06-20-2009, 07:26 PM
Congrats to those who are out. :)

I didn't weigh in today because I ate way too much yesterday- the first really bad food day in awhile. I don't even want to know the number! I'm back on track today and just finished my first week of running C25k, so I'm going to keep this up and see some lower numbers soon. :)

06-20-2009, 09:36 PM
Gottalose20, you should still weigh in! It may not be as bad as you think... Ive weighed less multiple times the morning after eating Chipotle! Even if you didn't lose, the number will be a motivation for you.

06-21-2009, 11:56 AM
so, i'm eating again and i'm back up to 162.5. it's all good though, because now i know it's possible to get under 160, so i have new motivation. i WILL get there by july 4th.

06-21-2009, 01:59 PM
Well i finally saw a change in the weight other than up!!
down to 162.8 YAY i think i am off my stall of a month! maybe now that things started moving again it will keep it up :)

06-21-2009, 02:24 PM
What a great thread! I am so frustrated with the 160s. I've been bouncing from 163-165 for a couple of months now. Two weeks ago I hit 160.0 but then had a terrible weekend when I was out of town. Time to buckle down and get serious again!

06-21-2009, 03:42 PM
i messed up and went out drinking on friday night... i was good all day but those coconut rum and cokes did not go over so well for me. yesterday i could not stop drinking water so i am hoping my body is retaining water right now bc i weighed myself this morning (my official WI is not til wednesday, but still) and i was up to 167 from 163! i am freaked out a little and i am going to be so good for the rest of the week. i need to weigh 162 to be on point for my goal weight of the 150's by july 4... ugh.

but, congrats to everyone who has lost and those who have moved to the 150's thread, i am jealous! :)

06-22-2009, 07:50 AM
161 this morning, hopefully I'll pull into the 150s sometime this week.

However, my instincts are telling me that I'm about to plateau. Gah.

06-22-2009, 02:00 PM
162.4 today I cannot wait to lose more since i have been going soooooo slowwwww lately ( I just calculated that I only lost less than one pound last month!) Well we shall see what tomorrow brings!!

06-23-2009, 09:11 AM
At 160.7 today. The 150s are so close I can taste them!

06-23-2009, 09:25 AM
You can count me in! I'm stuck at 167. Hopefully not for long! I'd like to least a couple more lbs by this weekend. We shall see.

06-23-2009, 01:01 PM
162 again, I should be out soon I need this weightloss to kick up!!

06-23-2009, 01:55 PM
161.2 this morning...hopefully the downward trend will continue so that I'll reach 159.9 by Friday...umm, it's possible, right? =b

06-24-2009, 10:25 AM
I was at 160.0 this morning, and all I have to say is, COME ON!

06-24-2009, 12:02 PM
Great thread gals!

I've been stuck in the 160s for AGES! Weighed in at 166.7 this morning. When I make it to the 150s, that'll be my lowest weight since... um.. primary school LOL (ETA: I was in the 160s by 7th grade, I think). I can't wait!

06-24-2009, 12:15 PM
my official weigh in day is today and i am 162.0, so close! i should be in the 150's in the next week 1/2 as my goal is to lose 2 lbs per week and so far so good!

congrats to everyone we are so close, we can do this!!

06-24-2009, 12:47 PM
yay! down 1lb since yesterday. weighed in at 166 finally!

06-24-2009, 05:59 PM
162 this morning! Getting closer to where I was two weeks ago at 160.0.

Even more exciting because I drank moderately the past two nights. (my alma mater is playing in the college world series)

06-25-2009, 09:51 AM
At 160.0 again this morning, but it's not surprising, because I definitely didn't eat enough yesterday. I didn't realize until this morning when I finished up my daily plate totals that with the calories burned in my workout figured in my net calories for the day were only in the 700s. Oops.

Will have to eat more today. :)

06-25-2009, 01:05 PM
161.8!!!!!! I am sooooo close I can taste it!!

06-25-2009, 01:50 PM
161.2 this morning. It definitely doesn't look like I'll reach 160.0 by tomorrow morning. =(

06-25-2009, 02:40 PM
Hi everyone! I'm trying to break out of the 160's too :-) Haven't seen the 150's since 1997 when I got out of basic training. I'm 164 today, I saw 163 last week & I'm not changing my tracker :-) I've got a feeling it will take a couple of weeks for me to get into the 150's so I'll pop in every couple of days, for some motivation! Good luck ladies and to those of you that have got to the 150's congrats!!!

06-25-2009, 03:24 PM
Oooh everyone is doing so great! I stepped on the scale today and saw 163! We'll see on Saturday if my weight stays down (weigh in day officially). I think I am going to start the 30DS on 7/1 - easier to keep track of the days... anyone with me?

06-26-2009, 08:23 AM
Aw yeah. 159.7 this morning. Peace out 160s, and good luck to everyone here! I'll see y'all in the 150s thread soon!

06-26-2009, 09:00 AM
Congrats, Ruby!

161.4 at official weigh-in this morning. =( I did have a NSV yesterday - I ran one mile without stopping. 1/3 of the way of a 5k!

06-26-2009, 09:08 AM

160.6 yesterday! I only weigh once a week officially but I'm determined that next Friday's weigh in will mean good by to the 160s forever!

06-28-2009, 09:34 AM
159.5! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

I'm going to wait until my 1st of the month weigh-in to make it official, and wait until my weekly Friday weigh-in to get my mini-goal reward, but still, yay!

06-28-2009, 01:20 PM
162.5 today. i'm finally eating again and have enough energy to work out. what do we think the chances are of me dropping that last 2.6 before july 4th? keeping my fingers crossed.

06-29-2009, 12:20 PM
Congrats Ruby! Civakas too (even though you say it's not official yet) :-)

Weighed in at 164.7 this morning. The numbers are going down!!!

06-29-2009, 12:23 PM
Congrats Ruby! Civakas! 165.4 today, I'll be back next week hopefully back down to 163 :-)

06-30-2009, 12:20 PM
160.0 today for the second day in a row!! I am getting ready to be out of here :)

06-30-2009, 01:41 PM
Congrats CollegeGirl!!!! See you in the 150's :-)

So I'm graph/numbers crazy so check this out...

I've been stressing out over the ups and downs but I need to chill. I've lost 6 lbs in 38 days that about 1lb a week. I will see you soon enough 150's!

06-30-2009, 03:28 PM
Hey all!
I am unofficially 2lbs down! woo!
Not gonna change ticker yet cause tomorrow is official WI, but looking good!
Well done all on weight loss and staying positive and carrying on, no matter what! :D
Jess x x x x
Actually i will change my ticker! I am excited and i guess i can always put it back up (though, hopefully i won't need to!)

ETA: I am officially 3lbs down!!! How exctiting!! Nearly lost my first stone! woo!!

07-01-2009, 11:07 AM
Ha, this is probably TMI but I'm sure you all have gone through it to so you'll forgive me.

First off, I started my period this morning. Which explains why I started creeping back up to 160s since my last check-in on Sunday (159.5 lbs). Yesterday I was at 161. So this morning I was prepared to see 161 or even 162. When I stepped on the scale and saw 160.3 I was like OH. ****. NO. So I started walking around my apartment to erm, umm, get my system going, paid a visit to the bathroom and weighed in again at 159.9!

And that's the number I'm sticking with.

July 1st official weigh-in: 159.9

07-01-2009, 12:10 PM
so this is my official weigh in day, i was hoping for 160.0 and got 160.5 but i'll take it! my goal is to be out of the 160's by july 4th i am so close i can taste it hopefully i'll be out of here soon! ;)

congrats to everyone you are doing great! we'll be out of here in no time!

07-01-2009, 12:32 PM
jellybellyjess - Congrats on the 3lbs!

Civakas - ROFLMAO!!! Girl I do the same thing HAHAHA, see you in the 150's thread :-)

fashinjunkie09 - Great job you will be out of here by tomorrow, just stay OP!

Today is 1 full week of eating 1800 cal vs 1600 cal (training for a 1/2 marathon makes you hungry) and whoohoo I'm at 161.6!!! I'm sure I'll be her for another 2-3 weeks but that's cool I'll see the 150's soon enough :-)

07-01-2009, 10:26 PM
I've been stuck at 165 for a couple weeks now. My goal is to get under the 160's by my sister's wedding which is July 25th. We'll see if I can break this non-losing streak by then.

07-01-2009, 10:26 PM
I weighed myself this morning and i went back up to 167 :(
on top of it i ate salty food today and didn't work out!
I need a kick in the butt!
Tomorrow morning I'm waking up and working out before work and I'll have a lighter day. Weigh in is tomorrow night.. :(

07-01-2009, 11:22 PM
ok so I did some yoga after my last post just to know that I did SOME sort of physical activity today.
I feel good for not putting it off until tomorrow:broc:
Let's keep it up ladies!!

07-03-2009, 09:59 AM
159.5 at my weekly weigh-in this morning! woot. I think I'm heading to the 150s thread now. I'll see you girls there soon!

07-03-2009, 07:04 PM
Im at 159.0 WHOOOO!! See yall in the 150's thread soon!! YA :D

07-04-2009, 11:58 AM
163! Yay! I reached a mini goal and only 3 pounds left to get out of the 160's!!

07-05-2009, 01:50 PM
good job girls! i am up 2 lbs so i didnt make my mini goal of 150's by july 4th... im hoping its bc i stepped up my workouts and since my muscles are sore maybe im retaining water? even with the holiday i have not gone over my calories but once and that was not by much... im so bummed... :(

07-06-2009, 11:42 AM
I'm officially out of the 170s. 169! I have been losing and gaining the same 5-7 pounds for years. It's like I mentally flip out once I hit the 160s and self-sabotage. Hopefully, with the aid of this website, eating well, and exercise I can move on. I want to look cute in grad school!

07-06-2009, 08:27 PM
Crescendo I am absolutely with you on the 160s bit, up until recently I'd been pretty much maintaining at 164-165 and I've only been below 160 twice in my post puberty life. The 160's are my nemesis.

I only weigh myself about once a month (so I won't go scale crazy) so I'm pretty sure I'm in the 160's now and I'd really like to be out of them or close to it by my next weigh in. I'm trying to work hard and be really good foodwise so I can get past this set of numbers that my body seems to like so much.

07-10-2009, 12:08 AM
Ohhh i didn't know this thread exsisted!!

Hope i can join ladies!

Im stuck in the 160's big time!

Im on 161 and have been for about 3 months, cos ive just been maintaing! But im ready to get back on the bandwagon and lose the last kilos!

07-10-2009, 07:14 PM
welcome ladies! i am up 2.5 due to my dbf's family coming in unexpectedly and staying with us for 3 days. his sister is the best mexican food cook in the world and i just couldn't pass up her home made taquitos and guacamole... *sigh* well they leave in the morning so i am going to get right back on track!

07-11-2009, 10:34 AM
161 thursday!!! 150's are so closeeeee!!!!
Still doing 30DS 4 times a week and now I'm doing biggest loser yoga on days I don't do 30DS

07-11-2009, 05:44 PM
FINALLY 163... Almost there! I'm on level 2 of the 30DS... by the end of the month I might be in the 150's!

07-14-2009, 12:19 PM
Ok accountability time! How is everyone doing??? I ate pretty crappy yesterday, but it could have been worse. Still doing the 30DS and it's not getting any easier! Plank jacks... ouch!
I tried on my wedding dress yesterday since the first time I had it on to buy it, and it's still a teeny bit tight, not enough to worry, because if I went up a size it would be too big, but 5 lbs and working out until september should do the trick, although I really want to be to 150 by the wedding, but I know that isn't going to happen, I am NOT happy with how the scale is going. I was hoping to be to 150 or so by now or august. Oh well.

07-14-2009, 03:36 PM
I don't weigh in often but my husband thought I was being too pessimistic about my ability to actually drop the pounds so I weighed myself a week and a half ago and I was at 167. I do my monthly weigh in next Monday so we'll see how close I get to being done with the 160s. I've been pretty good but last Saturday night I went to a gathering and ate too much snacky stuff (tortilla chips, cake and cookies... and I had a glass of wine). I've been on track since then but my Sunday workout was somewhat torturous... apparently one glass of wine is enough to give me a hangover now :S

So I don't have the highest hopes for being out of the 160s that soon... although I'd like to be at 160 for August first if i can manage it.

07-15-2009, 10:42 PM
So today I stepped on the scale and saw: 160!!!
Official weigh in is tomorrow but I really really hope I get out of the 160's soon!!
Can't wait!

07-16-2009, 10:30 AM
Kk140... CONGRATS!!! I'm jealous you're almost out of here! I'm STUCK at 164-163... AND busting my *** doing the 30 day shred. Next month is cardio craziness... No overtime shifts and lots of walking/running/spinning...

07-16-2009, 05:33 PM
Thank you! And keep going JulieRN! Look how much weight you've lost so far! You're almost half way to your ultimate goal so that's amazing!!
Do you do the shred daily or do you take breaks?

07-17-2009, 05:33 PM
official weigh in at 159 yesterday!!
Thank you all for the support!
See you all in the next thread!
Good luck! Don't give up!!

07-18-2009, 01:13 AM
Looking forward to joining this club ladies....I was 170.2 this morning. I am *so close*

07-18-2009, 12:29 PM
leighish, we will definitely be seeing you soon! and congrats to everyone it sounds like you're doing great esp those of you who have moved onto the next thread!

well, i have lost 1 lb of that weight i put on when my dbf's family was here, but i am stubbornly not changing my ticker. i am determined to be back to 160.5 by next week and then hopefully out of here soon after that!

07-21-2009, 12:27 PM
Hi girls- I'm sorry I haven't been around. I creeped my way up to 173 and I didn't want to admit it :( I'm back and I was at 170 yesterday morning. I'm back on track and I'll be back on this thread the second I'm 169 again :)

07-21-2009, 07:36 PM
169.6 this morning. Woohoo!

07-21-2009, 07:37 PM
Congrats Leighish!!!!!! :D

07-22-2009, 12:04 AM
160.5 yesterday morning, but back to 161.5 this morning... hmm i am beginning to wonder if i will ever get out of here! lol

07-22-2009, 01:16 AM
So I"m just going to go ahead and dive into this thread because it's making me happy. I tried on my skinny jeans tonight (re: size 8) and I got them up and zipped but I'm muffin topping which totally sucks. It's not even flab that's rolling over. It's skin. Ugh. Gross.

Anyway, I think I may have difficulty with getting out of the 160s. I never got lower than 165 last time. Maybe I will be okay this time. I have a 2 week trip to Canada coming up and I think I will be okay. I'm going to be doing most of the cooking anyway and I just won't buy any junk food for the cabin. I would love to finally hit my goal of 155 but I'm concerned that I'm going to have a hard time maintaining that. Maybe not. We'll see. I'm amazed I've maintained 170 for so long.

07-22-2009, 05:28 AM
Hoping to hit 160 by next month. Hitting the gym tonight after a yummy caesar salad dinner. :D

07-22-2009, 11:46 AM
169.2... slowly but surely.

07-22-2009, 01:52 PM
Weighed in at 162 yesterday...almost there

07-23-2009, 10:40 AM
168.4 this morning :D

07-23-2009, 12:19 PM
163... and stuck there! The 30DS is getting olddddd... still effective, but I'm totally ready for a change. 7 more days and then I can spend my time running and walking and other things.

07-23-2009, 02:34 PM
I know what you mean about the 30DS. I'm starting to get tired of it too... but it definitely works. Next time I weigh in, I'm hoping to be done with the 160s.

07-24-2009, 11:51 AM
167.6 this morning. I think it's safe to call myself "graduated" from the 170s thread. I'm so happy to join you guys here!

I upped my daily WW points last Tuesday and all of a sudden I'm dropping like a rock. Seems I really did have to eat more to lose.

//Also passed my halfway point this morning. It's a good day. :D

07-24-2009, 12:46 PM
A 160's thread! Woohoo! I'm at 164.2 right now ... yesterday I was 165.9 or something. I feel SO good about myself. My goal is the be at 159 by the end of August. It's been my goal ALL summer and I think I'll be there before the end of August. :) It feels SO good.

07-24-2009, 12:52 PM
168.0 this morning! Looks like I did have wiggle room for cookies last night after all ;)

07-25-2009, 11:50 AM
167.2 this morning :)

07-25-2009, 11:15 PM
Im crashing the 160s thread! i was in the 170's thread for about 2 months and am very excited to be 168.0 today! i know the 160s will take a little longer since my body hasnt been below 170 in about 7 years. im expecting a little resistance, but with everyone's success and support i know i can defeat the fat!

i hope to get to know all you 160 girls better while were all in this decade.

07-25-2009, 11:30 PM
I love this! I am @ 169 with the exact same goals. I want to get to 135 but 158/159 is my first mini-goal! I want it so bad!

Its so nice to get to know people who are exactly where I am =)

07-26-2009, 11:51 AM
168 this morning but I had a lot of salt yesterday (re: chicken soup)

07-26-2009, 01:00 PM
168 this morning but I had a lot of salt yesterday (re: chicken soup)

You have done fantastic!

07-26-2009, 02:31 PM
hey ladies, i'm glad to hear everyone is doing so great! i am 160.3 this morning so i am hoping against hope that at tomorrow's official WI i will be in the 150's! as much as i love you all i am ready to get out of here! lol

07-27-2009, 01:19 PM
well i just wanted to let everyone know that i'm outta here! :D today is an official WI day and the scale said 159.5!!! i should probably wait a few days until i am firmly in the 150's but i am too excited! good luck girls i know i will see you in the 150's thread soon!

07-27-2009, 02:06 PM
Oh boy. I barely hit 160 on Saturday morning, but I just had a terrible weekend. I went waaaay overboard! I get stuck in the "I ate too much today already, so I might as well do it right" mentality. Terrible.

Oh well, keep plugging.

07-27-2009, 05:16 PM
168.6 this morning. Up a bit, but not entirely unexpected. I had a little too much fun at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday. Also started a round of allergies so I was feeling crappy Sunday and didn't watch my intake too closely.

Still, I'm SO happy to be under 170!

07-27-2009, 06:17 PM
168.0 again this morning. I don't know what I'm going to do without a scale for two weeks.

07-27-2009, 07:42 PM
hey ladies! Weighed in at 167.1 this AM so I am officially joining the thread. July has been a really rough month for me. I'm ashamed to say I have only run 3 times all month (and I have a race Sunday!). I've been taking overnight call every fourth night so hopefully now that I'm moving on to a much easier rotation I'll get back on track.

07-27-2009, 08:42 PM
166! I felt like I had gained but when I went in to weigh in on an accurate scale... GREAT NEWS. Thats what keeps me motivated!

http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/tulip-bar/cartoondino01/lb/174/135/166/.png (http://www.3fatchicks.com/)

07-28-2009, 12:27 AM
I am at 167, and I am afraid I will be stuck in the 160s for a while. I only have 3 more training sessions with my personal trainer AND he's going to be away for more than a week!! This is going to be tough. At the 160s, how much is everyone exercising/working out?

07-28-2009, 11:28 AM
167.0 this morning.

I calculate my "weekly" loss on Tuesdays. I just had my BEST WEEK EVER! Down 3.2 lbs since last Tuesday. That beats even my first week on Weight Watchers.

07-28-2009, 08:39 PM
166 today. Race is on Sunday, pumped but nervous. I definitely haven't been putting in the workout time lately

07-29-2009, 12:57 AM
Officially HATING the whole "time of the month" thing. I am a firm 163 ... I am THRILLED! Except for that stupid water weight and such. Today the scale said 167! I nearly cried. I have to remember that it's water weight, water weight, WATER weight. But still! I so long to be in the 150's.

07-29-2009, 01:28 PM
Ridiculous. I almost don't qualify for this thread anymore, but I'm going the wrong way. I'm up to 169 from 165. I have been struggling with eating since I have 4 15 hour days every week, and keeping a healthy lunch and dinner cold for that long is nearly impossible, so I've been eating out waaaay too much. But it's still disheartening. 3 more weeks of class and then hopefully I can settle into a routine and I can start losing again.

07-30-2009, 04:01 AM
You guys need to make a place for me here I am so ready to join you! lol

07-30-2009, 06:54 AM
Hey all
I have been away for a bit but now i am back at 161! woo! Not long to go now until i'm outta here! lol!
Good luck everyone and well done so far!!

07-31-2009, 03:41 PM
*sigh* Up this morning. 168.4.

I've had a big allergies attack. I think once I get over it completely, the weight will start going down again.

08-01-2009, 11:45 AM
hey ladies I'm joining this thread. After 11 weeks I am finally at 169, woohoo!

08-09-2009, 11:52 AM
Hey all,
Has everyone got out of the 160's!? It's gone a bit quiet here recently, and i need these threads to stay on track lol!
I have only 2lb to go before getting out of the 160's so would be good if this thread was a bit more lively!

08-09-2009, 01:08 PM
hello! i didn't see the 160's thread or i'd have posted sooner!

i've been hovering between 162.8 and 164 for the past week... hoping to leave you guys by next weekend!!

hope everyone else is doing well!

08-09-2009, 01:22 PM
161!!!! I hope you all can join me in the 150's VERY SOON!!!

08-10-2009, 12:01 AM
k, so a week ago I weighed in at 168.5 haven't weighed in since but I have been eating really badly so I think I am going to give it a few days before I do. Thought I would join this thread to help motivate me to stay on track and go for losing more! =-)

08-10-2009, 08:20 AM
that's a good idea, mizmizzy - drink tonsssss of water and when you're back on track the scale should be too!

down to 162.6 this morning!

08-10-2009, 12:22 PM
Hey ladies- I'm BACK! I weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 167.4 :) woohoo- I can finally be on this thread again now that I'm not on the line at 170.
I've been taking it one day at a time to get back on track and it's working:)
I missed posting on here that's for sure!
Hope you all are doing well :)

08-11-2009, 10:24 AM
Hi all,

I'm still here. I've been stuck at 162 for awhile now. I haven't posted much cuz I wasn't sure what to say beyond that.

I'm kind of hoping I've dropped a bit but my eating hasn't been perfect lately (darn those weekend trips and family barbecues) so I'm afraid to get on the scale. My official weigh in is in two weeks so I'm trying to get back on track. I've upped my workouts a bit and done the calorie calculations for some new recipes to keep it exciting and to try not to get discouraged.

We can do it!

08-12-2009, 08:53 AM
162.2! CREEPING down towards the 150's!

I started c25k and bought some items for a home gym (dumbbells, yoga mat, bosu ball) so we can bust through this little hiccup.

Come on, ladies! No one wants to be in the 160's! (unless you're in the 170's ;) )

08-12-2009, 01:00 PM
159. See you beautiful ladies in the 150s!

08-12-2009, 01:05 PM
Down to 166.4 finally :) I haven't been that low in a long, long time :) Can't wait to be at 159- it's been over two years since I've seen these numbers :)

08-12-2009, 02:58 PM
I know what you mean about 159. The lowest weight I've seen on my scale as an adult is 158. I remember breathing a sigh of excitment and thinking "I'm out of the 160s". I can't wait to feel that again.

08-12-2009, 03:28 PM
So...the scale today said 160, which is exciting! So exciting that I am not ready to accept it, in case the same is not true tomorrow.

I havent been 160 since grade 8.

08-12-2009, 11:58 PM
I'm up for this! I truly can't remember me weighing under 160! That would be very exciting! I'm 167/168 - I fluctuate so easily :|

Anyway, I'm doing South Beach and plan on getting back into my gym routine (or any physical activity routine!). My other big goal is to start running again :)

08-13-2009, 12:07 AM
I always weigh myself with my clothes on. Today I was 162. Then just before my shower, I weighed myself sans clothes, and i saw 159.6! I'm still going by my clothed weight, but I'm so close to getting under 160. Woohoo! Keep going everyone, congrats to those who are close to moving down to the 150 thread as well.

08-13-2009, 04:40 AM
after 2 weeks sans scale and trying to fatten up someone else I probably won't be in this thread again for a couple weeks. Good luck ladies!!

08-13-2009, 08:56 AM
161.6... getting closer!!!

08-13-2009, 06:46 PM
168.5... as of a fewdays ago yay

08-14-2009, 09:49 AM
Welcome to the 160s! Congrats on your hard work so far.

My good news today is that the pants I bought shortly after I started this journey are getting a teensy bit too big (I have to pull them back up over my hips fairly regularly)which makes me hope that I'm over my 162 plateau and that when I get on the scale in a week I might see the ever elusive 150s.

08-14-2009, 12:08 PM
Ugh..... I was at 159 (yay!) But then we all went out to Bertucci's. Then for the past 2 nights I have been eating an amazing turkey dinner with stuffing and noodles. (bad Lucy!! bad Lucy!!) It's so hard when you love food as much as I do. So now I'm back to 162, but at least my personal trainer is back from vacay!

08-14-2009, 04:26 PM
I have trying to get out of the 160's since May. I briefly touched down in the high 150's, but since have fallen off the wagon. Lol! I think I need to get back on the treadmill to change things up a bit. Spin classes were working, but I think I hit a plateau and am now slipping backwards... boo!

08-16-2009, 05:27 PM
Sylvied- I hope so too girl, you can wait for me in the 150s thread lol

LindyLuWho- Just stick with it, you'll be back in the 150s in no time :)

This weekend was not my best. I didn't eat anything terrible though. On friday I went to a mexican restaurant and got a bean and cheese burrito (no cheese) and at a baby shower I had two taco truck chicken tacos (which were so freakin small by the way! lol) with just chicken and salsa. I can't wait to be in the lower 160s but I am stoked thus far. I can't remember being this low since I was in my early teens :)

Quiet Ballerina
08-17-2009, 01:12 AM
Can I join in? Not sure how many of y'all are left here, but I've been lurking a little and like the thread.

08-17-2009, 02:36 AM
so my scale broke this week. well, not so much broke, but the battery died, stupid 9-volt batteries. i was totally lazy this whole weekend and didnt run any of my errands, so still no new battery. last friday's weigh in was 166, but i think ive slacked off this week. UGH!!! gotta get back on track. but on a positive note, im training for a 5K at the end of September, and last week decided to run/walk the whole 5K just to get a base time. not only did i not die (which i was sure would happen) but i finished in 44 minutes! def got some work to do, but it was like my first fitness goal met in ummm, ever!

you girls are very inspiring, keep moving down to the 150s!!!

08-17-2009, 12:00 PM
165.8 this morning- I couldn't believe it- I keep thinking I'm still in the 170s, but I really am a 160s :)

08-17-2009, 12:40 PM
165.5 as of yesterday. i cant wait to see the 150s...and hopefully go down a pants size.. ive only gone down one size so far and im ready! haha

08-17-2009, 04:30 PM
ahh just need to vent!
I have been 161 for sooo long now! It is so hard to keep motivated when nothing is happening! i so just wanna break out of the 160s!! ahhh!
hopefully this week i will see some scale movement..i just hope its the right way!
welld one to everyone who is doing well :) keep it up!

08-18-2009, 03:19 AM
jellybellyjess, how are you eating and what exercise are you getting?

08-18-2009, 09:26 AM
FINALLY! My scale is moving again! :) It's not much, but I lost another pound. Woohoo!

08-18-2009, 01:53 PM
Still here. I am feeling a little bit frustrated about this scale standstill. I feel I would be less frustrated by it if it had taken another 10 pounds to stall like this. then at least I'd be stuck at a weight I'd never weighed before.

Oh well, gotta keep moving. I'm trying to increase my cardio over the next couple of weeks. I hope that will burn some more fat.

08-19-2009, 03:50 PM
AKT - i have been slowly slipping back to my normal eating i think..i dont even notice im doing it! hopefully now i have realised this is happening i will do something about it! I have been like not adding salad/veggies and fruit to meals and that which i guess means i eat more of the stuff that might lead me to gain?
I have only really been doing walking at the moment.. i should prob step that up a little bit and hopefully that will help the scale move down.
I just get so frustrated that the rate of weight loss is so slow after the first like stone and i wanted to be like totally transformed by the time i go back to university and it bums me out that im not this skinny person yet lol then i just think whats the point! more food!!!
sorry for the very very long message lol i guess just writing it down helps!
any tips for motivation when there are no changes?!

08-19-2009, 10:58 PM
Girl don't get down on yourself, it happens! Just know that if you get back on track now, you won't have to start over from square one. You should start keeping a journal with all your food that you're eating everyday, I know everyone says to do it, but for me it's really helped. I tend not to eat bad things if I know I have to write it down and have proof of what I did lol. I have written down every single thing since I started in April and I think that is what has made stick with it so long. And as for exercise, just do whatever you can. If you feel like walking, then walk. If you feel like running, then run. Just do something! Good luck girl.

08-20-2009, 05:01 AM
Thanks :-) that sounds like a good idea..i did it for a while and was sticking to good eating but then (i cant remember why) i just stopped doing it everyday so yeah im gonna give that a go :D
Hopefully there will be some scale movement!

Fat Pants
08-21-2009, 10:32 AM
Hi everyone!! I'm so excited to finally be joining this thread...it seems like I spent FOREVER in the 170s. :D I weighed in today at 167.4 - I had a 3 lb loss this week that blasted me into the 160s. :woohoo:

Hoping I don't have to stick around in this thread as long as I did in the 170s thread. :D

08-22-2009, 03:49 PM
Congrats fat pants! I can't wait to see you all in the 150s thread!

So I went to the gym to weigh myself today and the scale was broken! So now I have to wait til tomorrow. :( The digital scale we have at home says 165 but I never trust that thing.

08-23-2009, 04:02 PM
Ack! It seems like everyone is plateauing!

I'm at 161.2 as of this morning. I've been stuck between 2-3 pounds for a couple of weeks now, and, while it's mostly my fault (drinking wine and eating garlic bread and not wanting to get out of bed to run), I'm recommitted to seeing 159 sometime this week.

Good luck ladies!

08-24-2009, 09:14 AM

SEE YA, 160's!

08-24-2009, 10:33 AM
Congratulations Macky!

08-24-2009, 11:45 AM
A 1.5 week east coast/national parks vacation turned into a 3 week diet vacation. I wasn't horrible, but I wasn't journaling or running either.

I'm back in the 160s this morning, and finally back to my regular schedule. 169.2

08-24-2009, 05:36 PM
I'm psyched to be in the 150's. It's my goal by the second week in September. I just want to be realistic. :) But I'm only 4 lbs away from 159! :D

08-25-2009, 07:44 AM

159.8 this morning :D

Good luck everyone!

08-26-2009, 12:59 AM
Good job macky!

I feel like I'm not doing as well as before. I'm staying in my calorie range of 1400-1600 and working out at least 4-5 days but I'm not as on top of it as I was. Eating out more but making good choices, but still eating out is not as good as making it yourself. Maybe because everyone around me is like "where are you gonna lose it from" "you don't to lose any more" blah blah blah it's like you guys only see me in clothes, where I can hide my fat! lol

The home scale said 162.5 today but like I said I don't trust that thing, I'll wait til I go back to the gym.

AKT I know that feeling. We have been eating out a lot lately too and it has slowed down my loss this week. In fact I'm up a lb from where I was last week! I've also slowed down my running because I'm training for a 10k, and now I'm not running every day like I used to. I have a long run scheduled for today though so hopefully that'll get things moving in the right direction.

08-26-2009, 11:59 AM
Hey Fat Pants! nice to see you here!!

Hi Fellow 160-ers - I'm very excited to be here!! I've been wanting to get out of the 170s for the longest time!

I reached 168lbs!! And have maintained it for 4 days. I'm still a little nervous that I will shoot back up to 170 lbs but I thought I would take the plunge and join you guys here :)

08-26-2009, 01:13 PM
Congrats Macky and Welcome Echo!

My reboot seems to be working. I'm down a pound since yesterday: 168.4. I also signed up for my next 5k, on Oct 3. I've done a good job keeping to my running schedule this week.

08-26-2009, 01:28 PM
Thanks for the warm welcome rocketbunny ! and congrats on the weight loss! good luck for the running, that's awesome :running:

I'm SO happy to have found this forum!! Motivation to get out of the 160's is exactly what I need!

I have a very small build for a tall person and I felt and looked my best at 135-145 pounds. I haven't been in that range for three years though and have been trying to get back to it since. I was hovering in the 153 range for two years, and somehow mysteriously gained about 15 pounds in just three weeks!! I have no idea how as I was doing exactly the same thing as before, except that maybe my age (turning 25) or my digestive disease caught up with me. I'm the heaviest right now I've ever been and NONE of my clothes fit, yet I don't want to buy new clothes until I lose weight!

I'm 165-168 now, depending on the day.
IDEAL GOAL: 145 by December 4th (when I turn 25)! 20 pounds in 3 months though...I don't know.
FIRST MINI GOAL: See 159 again (6 pounds or so to go)...I hope to have this accomplished as quickly as possible so my darned clothes fit.
SECOND MINI GOAL: See 155 again by November 1st - reward for this will be buying myself a few seasons of a DVD series. :-)
THIRD MINI GOAL: See 150 again!

Today I started an exercise program (I wasn't exercising at all before), walking 3 miles four or five times a week, and sweating for an hour.

Hi echo!!! glad you made it over! woohoo for 168 lbs! :D

I am 166.6 this morning... my end of August goal was 167 so I'm pretty happy to have passed it!

Welcome Echo and rainsweptviola!

My life this week seems to be about the non-scale victories. I was going through my closet last night looking for things that were too big or too ratty to wear again and I came across a dress and a pair of jeans that I bought at a second hand store as motivation as they were both too small.

Last night I put on the jeans and I could do them up without lying on my bed and sucking everything in. I could breathe while wearing them! Although they're a little muffin toppy still, I can wear them with a loose top. I was also able to do up the zipper in the dress right to the top. It's a teensy bit tight in the chest but that's just the story of my post puberty life.

I was so excited that I danced around the living room in both items...much to the amusement of my husband who has now been charged with finding a place for me to wear the dress :p.

So even in the scale stays put...something's changing for the good.

Thanks FatPants!!!! :)
and thats awesome for you!!! well done :congrat: ps (i love the picture in your avator)

:welcome: rainsweptviola! this is an awesome forum, the best ! everyone here is just so darn encouraging, supportive, and lovely!

Thank you so much for the welcome Sylvied! :) that's so great that you fit into the small dress and jeans! awesome!!

167lbs today. :goodscale:

1 more pound to lose and i get to change the clothes on my model version of me. hehehe at the moment she's wearing a white dress - its this little ritual thing i do, for every 2lbs lost, i change her clothes hehe. i heard its a good idea to visualise yourself as slimmer. as you attract what you think about.

Well, I started exercising three days ago and have walked/ran three miles every day since. My weight *appears* to have gone down from 168 to 163.4 with the sweating (literally, when I get off the treadmill I'm SOAKED). It's stayed at 163.4 for two mornings now...so here's to hoping!!

I'm pretty much posting this just so I can get enough posts to include my ticker link! LOL

08-28-2009, 12:30 PM
Thanks for the wonderful welcome ECHO!! And congrats on your weight loss so far! :^:

I am still at 161 today :(. Sometimes i am stuck at the same weight for 2-3 weeks at a stretch and then i suddenly drop 2 (or sometimes 3) lbs. in 2 days. Its so frustating to keep on putting the effort and not see any results. I dont put in a lot of effort though nowadays, since my mom-dad are staying with me for 2 months, so enjoying mom's cooked food :carrot:. But I do try to get in some form of exercise whenever I can!

08-29-2009, 06:00 PM
still 165.5 better than gaining though! I haven't been eating as well as I should. Too much sugar I think. I will start fresh tomorrow, I'm giving away my 90 calorie soy ice cream sandwiches and 100-calorie dark chocolate bars to one of my friends. Too much temptation to keep them here...lol

08-30-2009, 08:43 PM
woot i was so bummed that the scale didn't move when I weighed in yesterday but then my good friend TOM stopped in today so that explains a lot LOL. Like the constant craving of sweets as well as no weight loss this week.

08-31-2009, 09:51 AM
Wooo! I weighed in at 157 this morning. The scale has moved again.
Good luck all.
See you in the 150's.

08-31-2009, 04:14 PM
Congratulations Sylvied!!!!!! :-)

08-31-2009, 10:32 PM
Well, I was wrong when I thought I'd lost another pound. I forgot I'd already lost that pound. LOL My weekly weigh in (one week since I started exercising) is this Wednesday. I've been eating *really* healthy, just a bit too much so I doubt I'll see anything lost this week. So my goal for this coming week is to keep doing 3 miles 5x week (last week I did 4x week) and tone down the calories a little bit.

I'm weighing in at 163.3, so I think it's safe to change my ticker!

09-01-2009, 03:42 PM
Weighed in at 159.8 today! woohoo!!! :)

09-02-2009, 01:13 AM
So I was at chevys tonight and didn't make the best choices. I had the original chicken fajitas (900 cals) plus 4 tortillas at 167 a piece and I can't find if the 900 calories includes the beans and all that :/ I don't feel too guilty though I haven't gone off plan like that at all since I've started.

09-02-2009, 01:58 AM
a klondike bar and choc. cake later, I feel guilty now :(

09-02-2009, 02:05 PM
I'm having a really hard time in the 160s. Let's not even talk about August (I gained overall). I was up to 170.2 yesterday, but back down to 169.6 this morning.

I'm hoping that this whole new month thing will work it's wonders. The durn boyfriend is down 4 lbs in the last 11 days. Gahhh. (happy for him, really)

At least I'm keeping to my running schedule. That is one place I'm feeling successful right now. Surely the weight will follow.

09-04-2009, 02:25 AM
Weighed in at 162.2 today - yay! But I'm feeling so close to the 150's yet so dang far away. :-P My goal is to reach 159 by October 1st! Does anyone else have a goal for reaching the 150's? Maybe we could encourage each other?

09-04-2009, 01:23 PM
Inching my way down: 169.4 this morning. I just need to hold it together this coming long weekend. 0.2 to go for a 1 lb loss this week.

09-04-2009, 06:32 PM
im still steady @ about 165. i met with a trainer yesterday she said i need to increase my calories from 1400-1500 to around 1650 and do more weights. she made a good point about how a lot of runners are skinny and loose " fat/skinny" because they do so much cardio they burn from their muscle. i got 2 free session so shes gonna show me some weights n junk.

166.6.....been there for a couple of months...argh!! So happy when I had gone from 175 to the 160s...I was so happy to be in the 160s, now I'm DESPERATE to be in the 150s....
rainsweptviola--I also would like to reach 159 by October 1st!! You are closer than me though!!!

Well what are you doing as far as eating and exercising? Hitting a plateau at 10lbs lost seems kinda early

09-04-2009, 08:57 PM
AKT---i wouldn't say I've reached a plateau lol...it's more like I've reached laziness!!! I need to get my act together!!! I do something for 2-3 weeks, dont see a change and then get upset and eat all the junk in the world. Very ignorant of me, and I'm aware of that and trying to change that. That's why I'm here now!!! Trying to better myself and be more realistic.

I just wanted to encourage you to keep at it!! I had been like that (getting discouraged and stopping) for my entire life, but this last time I've been sticking with it even though I lose weight sooooo slowly, and it's been worth it. Something that helped me a TON is getting a scale that weighs with ounces as well, and being able to see my progress that minutely has been amazing for keeping me going! I know ounces vary and change all the time, but with doing 60 minutes 4x/week just walking on the treadmill, and eating sensibly, I'm losing more ounces than gaining them. It's slow going, but at least it's going. :-) Every ounce lost is a victory to me!

This site and forum have helped SO MUCH with encouragement too. :-)
And yay, we have the same October 1st goal!! Let's update here with our progress?

09-05-2009, 05:28 PM
I am so, so, SO excited ... I am currently at 160.4! I told myself I'd be in the 150's by my birthday. I think I'll be there quite a few weeks earlier than intended! WOOHOO!

THanks a lot, if you see my post from a few days ago I did let it get to me a little bit and didn't do so well with my eating but I'm back on track now. According to the scale at the gym today it said 163.5 which is 2 lbs lower than what I've been stuck at.
You are so tall you're gonna look amazing at 145 :) I'm sure you do already!

I think I'm 5'8" now I shrunk! I measured myself in the nurses office at two different schools and that's what it said :(

09-07-2009, 12:18 PM
hey ladies- I'm down to 165 and I got to change my ticker this morning- it's silly how something so small can be SO rewarding :)

I'm working towards 163 by the 18th- a little under two weeks.

09-07-2009, 12:27 PM
rainsweptviola, couldn't find this thread!!!! lol

Ok soo....I agree with you, my scale does show ounces, for example this morning I was 166.2, when for a while I've been 166.6 and i was like "WOOOHOO!! 166.2!! WAY TO GO!!" So silly I know, but it made ME feel good and that's all that matters. Anyway you're right even though it comes down sooooooooooooooo slooooow its better than not coming down at all right? Slowly it will add up, so yes let's do this together since we have the same goal!!! Lets def. update our progress here and if you cant find me updating my progress here just send me a pm. I'm new to the site and get SOOO lost looking for threads!!! lol

09-07-2009, 04:43 PM
Hello, everyone! I weighed 173 2 weeks ago and now I weigh 166 (freaky.. I know.. I always drop like seven pounds whenever I move and my eating habits and such change at a new location... same thing happened when I moved back to my home for the summer). So anyway, I guess I'm in the 160's now, so it's time to join your thread! Nice to meet you all! :D

09-07-2009, 04:47 PM
AKT - Thank you!! I soooo hope I can get down to 145. It's the weight I felt so good at! :-) And yay for you being down 2 pounds!!

Lil Pixie - I'm new here too and can't find the threads unless I bookmark them! I bookmark all the ones I want to watch. :-) And yay for updating our progress here! :-)

And now for the WHAT THE **** HAPPENED part: I mysteriously gained 3 pounds overnight. Yep, I'm back at 165. I'm new at this diet and exercise thing, but does that just happen randomly? I didn't go over my calories yesterday - all I did yesterday out of the norm was not eat until 2 am because my dog (my baby) was sick and I was worried, and then I ate a can of soup, half a bag of popcorn, and a frappuccino. So lots of sugar and sodium, but 3 POUNDS worth?

I feel bloated and nasty. Any advice on how I can get rid of the sodium in my system and drop those "sodium sugar pounds" would be soooo appreciated!

09-07-2009, 04:54 PM
Welcome to the 160's megwini! It looks like we have the same 145 pound goal! Do you have a "goal date" for reaching yours? I'm hoping for 150 pounds by my birthday (December 4th), and 145 before March. :-)

09-07-2009, 06:30 PM
I have a very loose goal of reaching my goal weight of 145 by next summer (so mid May 2010ish), but if I don't stall and from today on only lost one pound a week, it'd only take 21 more weeks, which puts me at the very beginning of February, so I think next summer is a very realistic goal, in case I plateau near the end (which seems quite common). I really do want to be 150 by X-mas break though, though I won't be torn up if I'm not there by then... but it'd be pretty awesome.

I have been bouncing between 166 and 165.4 for the past five days. Seriously ready to see the scale move past it!

09-08-2009, 05:01 PM
I work out with the trainer today, I'm going to weigh myself before we get started I'm hoping it's below 165.5 :)

09-08-2009, 09:10 PM
Congrats Megwini! That's so awesome.

Wish I would Whoosh. I'm plodding along. Today was my official WI. I'm down 1.4 lbs this week, putting me at 168.8. That's a great weekly number, but I was down to 167.0 at the beginning of August, so it feels a little blah.

Hoping for another pound down next week! Progress is progress.

09-09-2009, 02:25 AM
163.5 still!!! So I'm official down 2 pounds from where I was stuck.

Oh and that little broad kicked my butt!

09-09-2009, 10:57 AM
Finally hit through my barrier of 168lbs (was that weight for just over 2 weeks - but on the positive side, that means i was maintaining the weight i had lost.). Today I weigh 165.3lbs :goodscale:
I hope its real though!! I'm always nervous that its not real lol.
I really pushed myself hard past two days during my workouts. and was careful with my diet yesterday.

09-09-2009, 06:35 PM
I'm back up from 162 to 166 now!! Gained a whole pound from yesterday morning. Nothing has changed in diet and exercise except I ate a few potato chips. How.....??

Help. Tell me how you take off sudden sodium weight gain?

erm, not sure if this is correct, but i always heard drinking lots of water, helps? like 1 and half litre to 2 litres. but like spread out throughout the day. sip sip sip

gaining a pound, if imt happened over night - would just be the weight of your actual food maybe? i wouldnt worry about it. normal weight people fluctuate up and down by a few pounds.

gah!! i gained a pound oooooopsy, too much snacking yesterday!! weight now is 166.4 must do better today!

167.6 this morning. That's only 0.6 lbs above my all-time-low from July. So close to being in new territory!

09-11-2009, 07:46 PM
Fluctuating between 165 and 169 now, which is my all-time high. Gaaaaah. I finally figured out last night it's not how much I'm eating/exercising, it's that certain foods don't digest for me at all. It's fairly certain I'm celiac too. Motivation for continuing to follow my g-f vegan diet, which I really do feel so much better on.

09-12-2009, 12:02 AM
aaaww rainswept!!! It's ok...just make note of what doesn't digest and try to stay clear from them.
I'm still at the same exact damn weight 166.6. DAMN IT!! lol...I need to exercise more. I've been doing 3 days a week...usually about 3 miles on the treadmill, plus 30day shred....I need to get a little more hard core though. I know it...I KNOW IT!!! I just have to DO IT!

09-12-2009, 12:04 AM
i will never reach 159 by 10-1 going at this rate... ::sigh::

I just got paid today so I plan on buying healthier lunches...never know what to eat for lunch and I get bored with eating same stuff for lunch.

i'm back up to 168lbs again! gah!!

Hey Ladies!

So last month I did get down to 168 for about a day lol but then I went home for a couple of weeks and everything just went to ****! I was on super vacation mode and it didn't help that everyone kept telling me how good I looked seeing as how it'd been about 2 months and nearly 20 pounds since they'd seen me before. Well it took me about a week after being back at school to get back into my routine, but I'm so glad I'm finally back on plan. It just sucks to have missed out on 3 WHOLE weeks of losing weight...ugh

I think I was up and down between 10lbs during that time( it's crazy how much water weight we can retain) and now I'm finally back to 170.something so I'm really hoping that by weigh in on Monday I'm back in the 160's

Hope to be able to join you guys soon!

**I posted this in the 170's thread too so sorry if you read it twice :)

09-13-2009, 04:39 AM
I'm just writing this here so it will be in public and I'll be less likely to make excuses for myself. :-)

It's 2 1/2 weeks until October 1st, and I want to be out of the 160's by then. I'm not really sure what I weigh because it's fluctuating between 164 and 169, but I think it's mostly non-digested foods just sitting there. I NEED to cleanse my system and really sweat out the toxins and flush them out with water. So this is my plan for this week until next Sunday morning:

Daily: Sweat for two hours, doing alternate walking/running on the treadmill. Drink 2 liters of water. Eat no more than 1200 calories, all cooked veggies and fish, a little rice to soften things.

And daily also play for at least an hour with my golden retriever puppy...I've been feeling so sick lately I've sadly neglected her. :(

09-13-2009, 11:39 AM
awesome rains!! good luck!!!!

kswood good luck to you too!

today i weigh 165.6 lbs :goodscale: finally got back from 168lbs now i just gotta maintain it. and not go up again. no more over eating.

09-13-2009, 03:27 PM
Echo- Thanks!

So I did it woohoo! I weighed in at 169.0 this morning and I am super happy to have finally lost all this weight I put on over the past 3 weeks. I'm finally back to losing real weight and I'm hoping to reach my next goal of 159 very soon!

09-13-2009, 03:37 PM
163 as of yesterday however I had a heavy night of drinking so I need to make up for that a little bit. I feel kinda crappy today though so I'm thinking I'm gonna put the booze away for awhile.

So after some careful consideration I am readjusting my goal. I had been pretty set on 145. Considering I have been sitting at "about" 165 for probably a month now I don't know how attainable.... and if it is.. how maintainable that would be for me. I have changed my goal to 154. That number is 10 pounds down from where I am now. There are certain things in my life that I am not willing to give up just to "maybe" get down to that low of a weight only to gain in back when I reintroduce them. I think for my height 154 is a good number. It is in a healthy range both by body fat and based on the BMI. If I do happen to go lower than that, great. But I am not going to force something if my body is fine where it's at. I feel good now but I know I could look a little better. :]

Congratulations on all you guys reaching new lows!! :-)

AKT: I have been sitting at about 165 for over a month too. My exercise is really good and my food intake is (with a few mess ups) really good, so I'm wondering if my body *wants* to be at that weight. I might be readjusting my goal to 154 too, we'll see how I feel when I get down there! :-)
