oo, hadn't thought yet.
definitely want to be able to wear tops that just come to my waist - yes, I hope for a waist! - on top of tightish bum revealing trousers;and I've long had a notion for a 50s style dress - quite a full skirt but a fitting top and a cinched in waist.

Cycling jerseys! I already wear the padded shorts, but the jerseys are SO SMALL and so form-fitting that I can't, right now. When I get down to the size where I can, though, I'm gonna go nuts! :D

I have an "outfit of the week" entry on my blog once a week with something that I would like to wear when I'm at my goal (or on the way to goal, in a much smaller size then I'm in right now). Some of the things that I've posted about are shoes with heels (something I can't wear right now), dresses with shorter lengths, jean skirts, tight fitting jeans... stuff like that. You can read about them on my blog. I just did one today. :) http://thejourney26.blogspot.com

Cute fitted tops
A-line skirts
Heels (can’t wear them now, too heavy – feel like I’m going to topple over)
Skinny jeans
“girlie” concert shirts
Really cute workout gear
Mini-skirts
Rockabilly/ 40’s-50’s style clothing
A Little Black (cocktail) Dress
¾ length cargo pants (don’t wear anything ¾ length because it makes me look shorter and fatter)
A Tankini
A Sexy outfit where my butt and boobs hang out just right (just for my husband)

I've never in my life been able to wear a bikini without shorts, and now I can't even wear a bathing suit period! I would absolutely LOVE to be able to buy this awesome halter bikini from the Buckle when I lose all my weight. It's 80 dollars but I don't even care! I also have never been able to wear tank tops and shorts. All I ever wear in the summer is capris and t shirts. It's gonna be great being able to wear cooler clothing!

Ok, don't laugh. But when I reach my goal of 100 pounds, there are a couple items I want to buy and one I want to make.
I want to buy a pair of insanely expensive designer heels, maybe Jimmy Choo. I also want to buy a new chainmaille top. The one I currently own I had custom made to include a long midriff piece under the bra part to hide my stomach and I also had shoulder pieces put on it to hide the bad arm and underarm areas. I want one of those little tiny chainmaille bra tops without adding extra pieces!
And I want to make a Halloween costume - the outfit Britney Spears wore in her 2001 "I'm a Slave For U" performance. I'd include the link but can't yet.

CamiToo: I want to get myself some Jimmy Choo's too when I reach my target weight! I am so involved in self-loathing that I think I will break the little heels on the shoes if I wear them now.....
I want to tuck a shirt in.
I want to wear a two-piece bathing suit.
I want to wear knee-highs and a mini-skirt.
I want to wear a spaghetti strap sundress! without worrying about the size of my bust.
I want to shop in the "juniors" department.
Most of all, I want to be able to wear one of my husband's shirts. And button it!!!

* A bikini.
* Tall boots and a mini skirt.
* Some amazing, expensive jeans (sevens, maybe) with a midrift-baring tank top--I'm not saying that I want to dress like a pop star, but it would be nice to be able to show an inch of my stomach without being humiliated.
* The tattoo of my dreams. My fiance is a tattoo artist and I have wanted this amazing tattoo for years, but it would look incredibly silly on a fat chick.
* A real bellydance costume. I've been dancing for twelve years and I have never bought a real costume because bearing my abs was not a fun prospect.

I spent several years wanting this great leather corset with steel nipple rings. Finally I thought ya know I am not going to wait for some day anymore. Bought it last year for a party. It was great, ppl still talk about my entrance....lol.
Anywhoooo I would have to have a new corset because the one I have will be too big..., but probably on my list of things would be a great thong to wear with my chaps. I would love to be able to wear my chaps with just a thong, just once...

Everything! I had a great figure that looked good in almost any style. And I had a great wardrobe. Well, my weight has been up for so many years that just about all those clothes are gone. And for a lot of years I've just gotten clothes so I have something to put on, because I hate the way I look in everything. All my friends and neighbors tell me I dress way too frumpy for my age, and for the last 8 months or so most of my clothes have been 2 sizes to big (or more).
When I hit goal my challenge will to not go nuts! My husband just better be working . . . I'll spend a few paychecks! I want shorts again. I want cute workout clothes that fit! Lots of fitted capris with cute fitted, sleeveless shirts (casual work environment). Skinny jeans. Some nice sundresses, with jackets so I can wear them to church. And killer shoes - all high heeled. I might never wear flats again.
Oh well - it'll probably take me a few years to build my wardrobe up where I want it. That's OK - it'll be fun shopping!

I tried on skinny jeans the other day (in a size 12) just for giggles, and you know what? If I wanted to look like a hipster, I could have pulled them off. Skinny jeans make EVERYONE look weird; I don't think there is any reason fat ppl can't pull them off. Go check out Gabi over on Young, Fat, and Fabulous if you don't believe me.

Honestly, I'd love to not have to think about my clothes in the morning... Just go to my closet, pick out a top and bottoms, and assume that it will look good on me.
I spend way too much time trying on things and figuring out silhouettes that will make me "look less fat". I just want to pull something on and know that my body looks good!

I can't wait for jeans again!! I wore men's Levi's for a while when I just started gaining weight, but eventually they didn't work any more either. I'm just all saddle-bags and muffin tops in all the jeans I own. I refused to buy new expensive stuff in my "new" size so that meant I literally had nothing to wear for a while.
I would like really dark denim and to wear them with my black boots or platform sandals. I vow to actually spend some real money if needed to find a great pair once I ... well, once I get to a point that I feel like I have done the best I can do...

Simple stuff. Tank top without a bra and shorts. I Doubt I will ever be that good looking again (I will be 50 in November). I need to be realistic, but just to be able to look good in a pair of jeans and top where I don't need to hide my stomach or butt would be great.

True.
I'm an apple shape and actually wore skinny jeans a lot while I was obese. Every other cut looked like super-duper wide leg jeans on me because my legs are so skinny.
I really want to get a nice leather jacket once I hit goal, since it's something I've never owned because I always told myself I would be losing weight soon so there was no point. Realistically I probably won't, because I seem to actually get cheaper as I get skinnier because it's easier to find cheap clothes that fit well than when I was bigger.
But I agree on the pencil skirts, and will be making an exception to my cheapness to buy a few, as I'll need them for businessy things.

Most importantly I want to wear a bikini and I want to do it by November! (no pressure!) I have several in my drawer I have never wore (from when I was on one of my many short-lived fad diets and expected to lose weight). And I want to be able to wear sleeveless shirts with no "side boob" sticking out under my arms. I also have tons of clothes that I have refused to throw out from when I was younger and worked at The Limited that I haven't been able to wear for years and would die to get back into - and it's all classic stuff - A-Line and pencil skirts, straight leg trousers, etc.. that won't go out of style - as long as they don't disintegrate first! Some of the pants I don't know if they'll ever fit again no matter how much weight I lose - I'm pretty sure my hips permanently expanded a couple inches during the birth of my daughter! But here's hoping!

I'm trying to look normal now. :) with the help of 3FC and Fitday and a little exercise too. What surprises me is there is no change in my weight although I started dieting 2 weeks back. Is it that I don't have enough protein or is it simply the lack of exercise?
Please give suggestions..!

This is an awesome thread. Well I want to be able to wear sleeveless shirts and summber dresses comfortably. I also want to wear a bathing suit again so I can go to the pool. I have not worn a bathing suit in many years. I also want to start wearing nicer clothes. I have always been thrifty, but I want to treat myself once I lose the weight with some really nice moderately priced clothing. I want the kind of clothing that still looks good after 2 washes..lol and actual outfits and not some stuff I just threw together.

I'd be very happy to have some jeans that fit! The relaxed jeans are too big in the thighs and make me look larger - I don't have a pear shape. It seems that all the jeans at Wal-Mart are made for pear-shaped women. They are gross on me. I bought some Gloria Vanderbilt's at Kohl's and they fit a little better but not great.
I'm 52 on 9/14 but I like the junior section at Kohl's :)

I must say I do already have copious amounts of fabulous clothing, I really went nuts when I lost a bunch of weight (I put some of it back on). I have at the moment a very curvy figure, akin to a pin up girl. Lots of boys like it, but it's not what I dream of...I have always admired male style icons, often musicians, and mostly pay attention to male fashion. So, if I could make it down small enough to pull it off with my disproportionally large hips, my dream would be to dress in a masculine way, ala Patti Smith, etc.

More than a few people mentioned lingerie! Count me in there! I have lots of cute undies, but my bras tend to be very functional! I'd love to get some sexy new ensembles!

I have quite a list.
Number One is a sexy Halloween Costume. I've always avoided Halloween because... If I can't dress up as what I want, why dress up?
Sleeveless Dresses and Shirts. I bought this dress a while ago and I can not wait to get into it. I am determined that by this summer. More specifically by my boyfriend's birthday... I will be wearing that dress.
Shorts. Have you any idea how hot Texas is in the summer? Now imagine wearing jeans in 104 degree weather... that alone will make you drop 50!
Swimsuits... See above reason. I dread the mention of a pool party.
Form Fitting Dresses... Ok, so I have a few now and I look fine in them. But I can only wear them if I've got a good pair of spanx. I would just love to be able to wear a dress with no girdle to suck in my stomach and no hose to hide my thunder thighs. I'm only 20! I shouldn't be talking with my 50 year old aunt about girdles!

Not so much what I want to buy, as what I want to resurrect out of my closet! I stood up in a friend's wedding in 1993-ish, in a dress that her very talented seamstress sister had custom made for me - fitted like an absolute GLOVE, made of an incredible lightweight wool crepe that draped like a dream and clung *just right* to all the right spots. It's black with some interesting crystal details, floor-length, off-the-shoulder ... and she did it for the price of the materials. Oh, gawd, would I love to wear that dress again ... but I do remember that I need a 26-inch waist to do it.

This dress sounds absolutely beautiful! I'd love to see a pic if you have one.
I've bought everything I want to buy when I reach goal. I'll just buy more of it. LOL! (Thank you, shopping addiction!)
I did wear my red string bikini in front of another human being this past week and that felt good. Well, actually, it felt nervewracking but I did look good in it...I think. ;)
Now I can buy more cute swimwear! I just struggle with finding suit tops that fit over the girls.
I've been shopping from stores for big sizes for sometime now and although the clothes look good and flattering (pricey though) I can't wait for a more normal shopping experience. You know, at normal shops, going in and trying clothes without size issues. :) I want to get a real "little" black dress and skinny jeans that are so in fashion now!

I definitely want a short little black dress. It will be barely passable to wear in public, but I will wear it anyway! I also want a bikini. Otherwise, I already have my skinny jeans that I am weighting to fit into. Right now, I am saving money by not having to buy larger clothes, and I am happy with that.

I love those bandage dresses that are only for skinny chicks. Like the one that Tara wore last season on the biggest loser. They are very expensive but there are knock-offs.

So far, I'm LOVING fitting into my old skinny jeans -- woohoo! But still have tons of stomach and thigh flub, and when that's gone, I'm looking forward to rocking out a bikini. :D And, yes, the bandage dress sounds like a great idea too...

Ok- unrealistically, I would say slim slim jeans.
But, I simply will never have the figure for that. My butt and thighs are simply not shaped right.
I am, however, dying to put on my boyfriend's jeans and lounge around in them while at his apartment.... he is very fit, a runner, and it would be a major triumph for me to be just a little bit smaller than him!

My biggest one that I'm fantasizing about right now is just to be able to shop in normal stores like H&M. For so many years now anytime I went out shopping with my friends I just sat in the front of the store and waited for them to finish. I would just be ecstatic beyond belief to be able to go shopping at any store I want, Victoria Secrets, any of those small people places. It's been about 12 years since I've been able to just shop anywhere so that's a huge goal of mine.

Any bathing suit.
Button-up shirts.
High heels.
Cute bras.
I'm a knitter, and I'm so looking forward to knitting cute sweaters for myself. I can't bring myself to do it now for two reasons: 1) I'd need to use SO much yarn for the large size I'd need to fit me now, and 2) I'm losing weight and hate to put all that work into something that will (hopefully) only fit me for a short time.

Also, I have a love/hate relationship with jeans. I think they look amazing on some girls (thin girls, lol), but they just made me look frumpy. I'm really starting to like jeans more and more now that I get closer to goal. I'm now fitting in 6's (they're still tight, but I can go out in public in them, lol). I bet when I'm at goal, I'll be a comfortable 6, maybe even 4 in some sizes. I can't wait to love how I look in jeans (I'm already getting there!)

Cute bras! Oh I know what you mean! I so badly want to wear the really colourful pretty ones instead of the ones that come with gel in the extra wide "comfort" straps.
Also I really want to wear my sexy little black dress again... I don't think I've worn it in 10 years... is it pathetic that I still have it? Little black dresses never go out of style right?
I also want to wear the cool running shirt that I bought and never returned after I realized how badly it fit (or didn't). It's made of that light material that is supposed to wick moisture away from your body to keep you cool and dry, it even has a tiny little pocket with a zipper.

I'm going to treat myself to a shopping spree for when I meet my goal. I know it will be expensive but it's so worth it. I absolutely love fashion and to be able to wear the stuff that I see, talk, write about and adore would be the biggest gift to me. I want to buy myself vintage cocktail dresses and shirt dresses from the 1940's. I am infatuated with that era. I want to be able to wear pencil skirts as many above mentioned with cute cardigans, a LBD for sure, skinny jeans with heels!! (hott!!!), a nice pant suit, and heels, heels, heels. I feel so uncomfortable wearing heels not. Worried about them breaking if they are stilettos and to be blunt they just stinkin' hurt right now.
I would love to wear an outfit similar to my avatar (Ginger Rogers) for NYE next year. That would be phenomenal. :)

Oh, what a FUN thread. I have this gorgeous black dress that I used to wear all the time, very vintage looking...with piping and frog closures and all the fancy details. I guess wearing them for a ribeye dinner is right on out, but a girl can always dream ;-)

Dresses! I've always felt so self-conscious about my legs--especially since my chubby legs don't fit into cute leather knee-high boots. Apparently my calves have gotten huge since I was a teenager. The last time I walked into a shop looking for tall boots the sales lady basically laughed at me and told me I'd have to order custom XXW. I'd like to be able to walk in now and buy whatever ones I want!

I am just as boy-ish or anti-girl-clothes as a human with boobs can be. I live in jeans and t-shirts with sports bras, and wear the most basic girl tops to work in order to be within dress code (still with sports bras,).
But I've been looking through this magazine's stuff for years just wishing I could fit in some of their tops and dresses.

Yes, even some of the dresses have me sighing heavily with pure I-Wants! I would wear a bra for them! *dies of laughter*

Um, some people may disagree heavily with me and I am conflicted on the issue myself, but I would love to be able to get away with wearing leggings as pants... Even if I don't actually wear that out anywhere, knowing I'm thin and toned enough to do it will be nice!
As for actual clothes to buy, I want to get some rockin' minidresses, sky high heels, skinny jeans if they are still in by that time, and loose, flowy clothes, because hopefully they won't make my new body look larger! Or at least I'll be able to get away with it. Right now, empire waistlines and the like make me look preggers. I also love the trend of the skinnier, cropped or rolled cargo pants that's coming in this summer. I'd love to be thin enough to rock those before they go out again!
Jeez... I am going to have to do some saving if I plan to wear all of that... :)

I also want matching panties/bras from Victoria's Secret. My cousin has this really cute pink corset with cherry blossoms on it that I want to wear but it's like a medium. I just bought 2 dresses from H&M for the first time. It's the first time anything from there hasn't looked awful on me!
I always wanted to have a wardrobe full of dresses at goal. Now I'm pretty much at my goal body, and I'm finding that's the ONLY thing I buy now, which is tough when I'm shopping for tops or jeans. H&M and Forever21 are my favorite stores that I shop at now that I used to not be able to. Also, I love Free People and Juicy brand clothes now - I buy them at Nordstrom Rack to make my dollar stretch further. :)
Oooh, and my final goal, goal piece of clothing I want to buy when my weight settles down is an awesome motorcycle style leather jacket. I've just read through this entire thread and really enjoyed everyone's input. It gave me some ideas, too. It's very inspiring to think about our goal styles, isn't it? I gave away most of the smaller sized clothes I owned within the last year to my mother-in-law, so I will need to shop when I reach my goal weight! I do love to shop, but I try everything on, so it will be an adventure.

Oh, this thread is fantastic! :spin: What a lot of wonderful ideas.
(I always thought I was the only person on the planet that dreamed of wearing 40's/50's styles, but it seems like there are multitude of folk at 3FC that love this style. Bizarre.)
I want custom made jeans from IndiDenim (http://www.indidenim.com/oo/navigation/landing) a 50's style LBD with these shoes (http://www.heels.com/womens-shoes/honey-pump-whitered.html), and a mad shopping spree at Victoria's Secret.
The list is short because I never had a time in my life when I looked good in clothes so I don't really know what my skinny shape is going to be like. I can't wait to find out!
