Hehe...sure thing! Being so public about it and doing the pics makes me feel accountable somehow, it just kind of helps. I need to take a pic of me sitting down, side view, so you all can see how much chunk is left.

I also checked out your flickr of weight loss pictures. Wow. This is really the motivation I needed. And you're so toned as well! Mind if I ask what is your exercise regime? Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks everyone

Thanks so much! This is my current workout routine:

Sun - Off or a leisure bike ride or hike with dogs
Mon - AM 3-4 mile run / PM 1hr weights upper body
Tue - PM 30min with Trainer full body (plyo's & supersets)
Wed - AM 3-4 mile run/ PM 1hr weights lower body
Thur - PM 30min with Trainer full body (plyo's & supersets)
Fri - Off or a leisure bike ride or hike with dogs
Sat - Long run 6-7 miles

Now that I'm seeing more muscle I LIKE IT and I want to keep lifting but I already made the goal and commitment to myself and 2 friends to do a 1/2 Marathon in Oct (hence all the running).

My plan is to do more weight lifting (heavy lifting) once I'm done with the 1/2M and cut down on the cardio.

You make me wanna RUN. I love to see the before and afters and I just read some of your blogs. It is great to see someone work hard and keep it up. Please continue being an inspiration to us all. We'll be watching!

Hi nume09! Thanks so much for you post, it truly brightened my day  I've been a major slacker with the blog...I like the idea of it but I'm not a writer, never was. I'd like to give it a try again. We'll see. On the other hand pictures are easy, I'll keep posting updates to my Flickr account.

If you want to run do it!!! I started off doing the C25K program, 2 months later I ran my 1st 5K, now I'm training for a 1/2 Marathon! If I can do it anyone can :D

Hi Azulfire! Great questions, I'll do my best to answer :D

Did you S.O. join you on your new weight loss?
Yes, my husband has lost 50 lbs since September 2008.

Eating healthy or exercise?
For me both and for my husband eating healthy (he bike rides with me sometimes on the weekend). We both ate out all the time and we ate fast food almost everyday. And I'm talking a #2 biggie size, chicken nuggets, and a frosty. I cut out fast food 100%, haven't touched the stuff in over 9 months. My husband has had fast food maybe once a month if even. I cook much smaller healthier meals at home and thankfully my husband isn't picky so he eats everything I cook. Typically I'll eat 1 portion and he'll have 2 (I try to keep my dinners around the 400-500 cal).

What support did you get from your family?
Again I've been blessed to have a very supportive family. Without writing my life story I can tell you that my mom is 5'8" and 135lbs, always skinny. She never bugged me about my weight, a few comments of concern here and there but she pretty much stayed out of it because hello I knew I was fat she didn't have to tell me. My mom is super proud of me :D The coolest part is that I got her to join the gym with me and she started lifting weights (she's kind of skinny fat) she said I inspired her to get some muscles! My Dad had some health issues he was kind of overweight 6' 240ish (I started at 240 and 5'6"). He's eating healthier, bought a bike, and has lost 20 lbs.

My husbands family is another story they are overweight not doing anything about it so they are supportive like they said I look great, good job, but never ask for any details so I stay quiet about it around them. They live 2 1/2 hours away and after our last visit my husband said, "WOW everyone is getting fatter except for us, we are getting smaller". It was shocking and I know if I didn't do anything about my weight problem I would have been bigger then 240 by now.

Are they now proclaiming too thin?
Nope, haven't got that comment from anyone yet, knock on wood. Although my best friend (who is fit, tone, skinny) is worried I'm getting too muscular. She thinks I should stop lifting such heavy weight, thinks I have they body type to pack on a ton of muscle, and I should watch out. I just kind of stopped talking to her about the weigh lifting bc I don't want to hear it. To each his own, I like the muscles so does the hubby (again thankfully he LOVES the muscle more of a butt guy so he doesn't care that my boobs are shrinking big time). I don't want to get too muscular either but I'm not sure what I think is too muscular on me yet. If I get to big where I don't like it I know I'll have to back off but for now I like what I see.

Okay I just googled a C25K program...and it looks doable but scary. I worry about running because of my weight...did your Knees hurt? I'm not young almost 40 and just had my first baby(he's 8 months old) and I think I want another....gotta get in better shape first. My husband and I hike a lot but I need to do more in between I think I might try this...any other advice?
