Sugar Shakers - Bar-B-Q........?
 Good Morning y'all~ I was hopeful that if anyone/anyplace could help me,it would be the 'sugar-busters'. I'm looking for a receipe for barbque sauce that doesn't use sugar. I was thinking I might try using splenda instead of brown sugar, but unsure what to use instead of catsup...which I can't even imagine. This sauce would be used in the traditional way,on ribs/chicken,and either grilled/or baked(if not too hot outside) I'm so new to this sugarless life,so don't have as much info.as I need right now....Appreciate your imput.....have a safe, enjoyable, and healthy summer~~~:O);)

TUTU, if you have AGAVE, I have a wonderful bbq sauce recipe already posted. If not, I guess you could add some other sweetener after you've cooked it, but I haven't a clue how it would taste. The recipe is on our first quarter 2002 board, if you can't find it, just contact me @ Debelli@AOL.COM :)

You could also try using Sugar Free catsup, with Brown Sugar Twin... There's also a brand of BBQ/Marinade called "Chaka's MMM Sauce" that has no sugar added. I can't find it here in MN, but when I lived in California, that was all I used. Good luck!

Hi all! Just thought I would let you know that suzanne sommers has a new sugar free barbeque sauce that you can purchase on HSN or maybe even her web site. I haven't tried it yet but...there are not too many other options that I know of. I will also see if I can't find that sugar subsitute you mentioned. I have never heard of that one before either....Do you buy it in the health food store by any chance? I had trouble a while back finding cocktail sauce without sugar so..made my own with tomato sauce a little lemon juice some chili powder and fresh horseradish and some sweetner. It turned out fairly good.
